The purpose of the present study is to explore the significance of the Commentaries on Pavilions (樓亭記) from the Sancheong-gun area. To achieve this purpose, the study analyzes the works handed down in Sancheong-eup, Chahwang-myeon, Obu-myeon, and Geumseo-myeon, focusing on the two characteristic themes: the discipline and enlightenment of heart and mind (in Chapter 2) and the succession of integrity and the tradition of ancestor worship (in Chapter 3). The first characteristic theme "the discipline and enlightenment of heart and mind" is explicated in Chapter 2 by reviewing the Commentary on Hwanajeong Pavilion (Hwanajeonggi) written for the namesake building located in Sancheong-ri, Sancheong-eup, and the Commentary on Gyeongjeonjae Pavilion (Gyeongjeonjaegi) in Maechon-ri, Geumseo-myeon. The second theme "the succession of integrity and the tradition of ancestor worship" is examined in Chapter 3 based on the Commentary on Sulgojeongsa Pavilion (Sulgojeongsagi) from Jangwi-ri, Chahwang-myeon, and the Commentary on Maeranjeong Pavilion (Maeranjeonggi) from Yangchon-ri, Obu-myeon.

The importance of cultural contents industry is steadily growing owing to the Korean wave etc. and Buddhist cultural contents is a part of the cultural contents. However, the development of Buddhist cultural contents in many ways has left much to be desired. That is because, it is difficult for the public, who is not Buddhist scholar, to understand and take interest in conventional contents on Buddhist books themselves which are digitalized. Also, most contents researches are discussed on the necessity of contents development and just stay in these subjects, but it is insufficient to study a semantic analysis and visualizing contents on Buddhist books. So, in this paper, we analyse mandala's twinning rite in the Buddhist books and implement visual contents on the rite. The mandala is using toohadeokbul in a special way as the abhisinca rite. We analyse concept of the toohadeokbul and implement its visual contents which visualize ideological logic of Buddhism. The implemented contents are able to provide the public with Buddhist cultural experience of the yard. Additional, by trying to visualize descriptive expressions of Buddhist books, this paper could be a precedent for developing visual contents of unlimited data comprised in Buddhist books.

This thesis is composed mainly of Wang Pang王?'s Nan Hua Zhen Jing Xin Zhuan南華眞經新傳 interpretation. I have focused on four chapter of Wang Pang王?'s Nan Hua Zhen Jing Xin Zhuan南華眞經新傳. The four chapters are just Xioa Yao You逍遙遊 and Qi Wu Lun齊物論 and Yang Sheng Zhu養生主 and Ren Jian Shi人間世. In the first chapter, I pointed out the errors and ambiguous topic setting of Japanese research papers. As a result of reading and analyzing these chapters, I have come to the conclusion that it is a fusion of Zhuang Zhi莊子 reading. This is the content of the second chapter. And in the third chapter, I pointed out that his the interpretation of Ideal personality in Zhuang Zhi is not a spiritual being but the supreme power of reality. As above, he interpreted the Zhuang Zhi from a mixed viewpoint and attempted to read the Zhuang Zhi again from a Confucian point of view.

Objectives & Methods : This study was to study acupuncture and moxibustion treatments for dizziness, I've got compared and analyzed 41 kinds of books since Nei Jing(內經). It seems that the meridians of Bladder, Gall bladder and Governing vessel were mostly used for them in connection with functions of each meridians. Results and Conclusion : 1. The symptoms of dizziness are illusion, nausea, vertigo, tinnitus and mild headache 2. The meridians of acupuncture points which was used much for dizziness were Bladder meridian, Gall bladder meridian and Governing Vessel 3. The frequency of using acupuncture points in this treatment were P'ung Ji(GB20)-27th, Chok-Samni(S36)-17th, Paek'oe(GV20)-15th, Pungnyung(S40)-9th, Shinmack (B62)-9th.

This study targets ten titles of Hangul banggakbon novels in the Harvard Yenching Library to examine the bibliography, system, and characteristics. Among the ten titles, gyeongpanbon Guunmong, Leehaeryongjeon, Chunhyangjeon, Janggyeongjeon, two titles of Sodaeseongjeon, Honggildongjeon, anseongpanbon Yangpungunjeon, and two titles of wanpanbon Hwaryongdo have been found in Korea, too. However, gyeongpanbon Chunhyangjeon, 30 jangbon of Hyogyosingan(孝橋新刊), and wanpanbon Hwaryongdo seogyeseopobon are the ones that can be hardly found in Korea, and the library has possessed it there so far. With the two titles of Hangul banggakbon novels, it will be needed to reexamine the aspects of publishing Hangul banggakbon novels afterwards. Hangul banggakbon novels that Harvard-Yenching Library has now are mostly the ones that can be easily found in Korea, too. It is because the data started to be collected from the 1950's. In comparison with the materials in England, Russia, or Japan in the early 1890's, there are no rare books that cannot be found in Korea. The reason for this may be found from this.

Objective : This study was undertaken to determine whether Scutellaria balicalensis Georgi (SbG) extract exerts the protective effect against oxidant-induced alterations in organic cation transport in the renal proximal tubule. Methods : Organic cation transport was estimated by examining alterations in tetraethylammon - ium(TEA) uptake in rabbit renal cortical slices. The slices were treated with 0.2 mM tBHP for 60 min at $37^{\circ}C$. tBHP caused an inhibition in TEA uptake by renal cortical slices. Such an effect was accompanied by depressed Na+-K+-ATPase activity and ATP depletion. tBHP also induced a significant increase in LDH release. Results : SbG prevented tBHP-induced inhibition of TEA uptake in a dose-dependent manner at the concentration ranges of 0.05-0.1%. tBHP-induced inhibition of Na+-K+-ATPase activity and ATP depletion were significantly prevented by 0.05% SbG. tBHP-induced LDH release also was blocked by SbG. tBHP caused a significant increase in lipid peroxidation and its effect was prevented by SbG. Conclusion : These results suggest that SbG prevents oxidant-induced alterations in organic cation transport in rabbit renal cortical slices. Such protective effects of SbG may be attributed to inhibition of peroxidation of membrane lipid.

Objectives : Rotator cuff tear is a common disease that causes shoulder pain and disability. Sometimes surgical treatment is demanded and appropriate rehabilitation is also needed to provide functional recovery. This report is intended to estimate the effect of oriental treatment for the patients in rotator cuff surgery rehabilitation period. Methods : From 29th October, 2012 to 13th November, 2012, One male patient who received rotator cuff surgery was treated with acupuncture, pharmacopuncture and herbal medication. NRS and ROM were evaluated to demonstrate the effect of treatment. Results : The patient showed the improvement in shoulder pain and ROM. Conclusion : Oriental treatments such as acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, herbal medication can be effective for relieving pain and increasing ROM in rotator cuff surgery rehabilitation period.

Objectives : In order to study effects of drop of blood pressure by Semen Persicae Pharmacupuncture a clinical study was investigated. Methods : Semen Persicae Pharmacupuncture at Sp9 and Sp10 on 52 hypertension patients who are treating on Dong-Eui Oriental Medical Hospital. Results : 1. After one times Semen Persicae Pharmacupuncture at Sp9 and Sp10, the systolic blood pressure were droped. 2. After two times Semen Persicae Pharmacupuncture at Sp9 and Sp10, the diastolic blood pressure were droped significantly. 3. Headache, Dizziness that the subjective symptoms were droped after two times Semen Persicae Pharmacupuncture at Sp9 and Sp10. Conclusions : Continous Semen Persicae Pharmacupuncture at Sp9 and Sp10 implies drop of blood pressure and improvement of subjective symptoms.

The present study was carried out to determine if Scutellaria balicalensis Georgi. extract (SBGE) exerts beneficial effect against the renal failure in rabbits. Rabbits were pretreated with SBGE orally for 7 days, followed by cisplatin injection (5 mg/kg, i.p.), cisplatin injection caused an increase in serum creatinine level, which was accompanied by a reduction in GFR. The fractional excretion of Na+, K+, glucose, and phosphate increased in cisplatin-treated animals, which was prevented by SBGE pretreatment. The uptake of p-aminohippurate, an organic anion, in renal cortical slices was inhibited by the administration of cisplatin, and the effect was prevented by SBGE. cisplatin injection increased lipid peroxidation, which was prevented by SBGE pretreatment. These results indicate that lipid peroxidation plays a critical role in cisplatin-induced acute renal failure. SBGE exerts the protective effect against acute renal failure induced by cisplatin, and its effect may be attributed to an antioxidant action.
