Creation of the Fashion Design from Pot Art Image (팝아트 이미지의 의상 디자인 창작)

  • 예술작품은 의상디자인에 영감 혹은 영향을 줌으로써 상업적 의상으로 재생산된다. 오늘날까지도 60년대의 많은 팝 아티스트 작품들이 그대로 T셔츠 등에 프린트되는 것을 쉽게 볼 수 있다. 이러한 직접적 영향에는 자주 맹목적 표절이라는 논란을 불러 일으켰으나 긍정적이든 부정적이든 예술작품과 의상 디자인은 20세기초부터 밀접한 관계를 가져왔다. Sonia Delaunay는 예술을 대중과 결합시키는 가장 좋은 방법은 의상을 통해서라고 생각하였다. 그녀는 "만일 예술작품을 생활 속에 들어가게 하려면 그건 여성들 자신이 입고 다니는 방법뿐이다". 라고 말하였다. 결국 이러한 예술의 대중화에 대한 이론은 60년대에 와서 팝 아트 패션의 출현으로 그 결실을 보게 된다. 상류층을 대상으로 한 의상이 대중화되는 과정에서 60년대 경제호황으로 인한 젊은이들의 소비자층 형성과 미술양식에서의 팝아트의 출현은 자연스러운 시대적 조류로 나타났다. 이러한 상황은 팝 아트가 이 시대의 미술 양식에 혁신적일 뿐 아니라, 사회 전반에 팝 아트의 특성(소비 문화적, 대중 문화적, 재현적, 통속적, 기계적, 획일적)을 유행시키고, 대중에게 순수 예술과 복식에 참여 할 수 있는 기회를 부여했다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 가장 혁명적이고도 대중적이라고 할 수 있는 팝 아트 이미지의 작품 제작과 분석을 통하여 현재 논의되고 있는 전시회나 패션쇼에서만 볼 수 있다는 다소 아방가르드 적인 의상 작품들의 대중화 방안에 대한 해결책을 모색하고자 하였다. 실제 의상 디자인 창작에 초점을 맞추었으며, 제작을 위해서 팝 아트에서 주요 소재로 삼았고 대중적 이미지의 심볼이라고도 할 수 있는 Coca Cola label을 표현 모티브로 삼아 개성적이고도 독창적인 의상 디자인을 한 후 분석하였다. 또한 독특한 의상 표현의 개발을 위하여 표현 기법으로는 현대 미술에서 새로운 재료와 여러 가지 재료를 화면에 도입시키는 표현 방법으로서 사용된 콜라주 기법을 사용하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 의상 창작에 있어 조형예술과 연결하여 대중적인 이미지를 도입함으로써 착용자가 예술에 대한 친근하고 익숙한 느낌을 갖게 하며, 예술과 상품 그 자체에 대한 상업적 홍보 목적으로도 사용할 수 있으며, 대중적인 이미지를 표현함에 있어 콜라주 기법은 염색 기법을 사용하지 않고서도 작가가 원하는 표현 효과를 낼 수 있다는 측면을 발견할 수 있었다. 즉 사용된 대중적 상표 이미지는 주인에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 현대 도시의 인공적 환경들로, 의상을 독특하고 개성 있게 표현할 수 있는 모티브의 역할을 하면서 또한 그 예가 무한하여 다양한 디자인 창출의 가능성을 갖고 있으며, 의상을 통해 예술과 대중을 융합시켰다는 예술의 대중화, 민주화라는 중요한 역할을 하였다. 전시회나 패션쇼에서 만 볼 수 있는 예술적 성격을 띠는 아방가르드 작품의 대중 확산 방법으로 제시될 수 있는 이상적인 방법으로는 예술성이 짙은 도저히 입을 수 없다고 생각되어지는 아방가르드한 의상을 일반 대중 브랜드들이 단순한 모방이 아닌 새로운 패러디 작업으로 일반화시켜 상업성을 띤 의상으로 재조정되어 여성들의 몸에 걸치게 하는 것이다. 이와 같은 순환으로써, 조형예술 작품은 의상 디자인 참작에 영향, 영감을 주면서 여러 번의 형태 변화를 거치는 패러디를 통해 각 계층의 누구나가 좋아하고 접할 수 있는 또 다른 창조를 맞아 대중의 손까지 갈 수 있는 것이다.

A Study on Object Design Based on the Interaction of New Media Art (뉴미디어 아트의 상호작용성을 기반한 오브제 디자인 연구)

  • Modern art is undergoing drastic changes due to the development of digital media. In a digital media-based environment, writers are producing new works that share artistic values and experiences with audiences. In this study, it is the production of a work on interactivity that combines cutting-edge digital technology with objects. When a viewer touches an object, an LED screen connected to the object is completed. Prior to the production of the work, for theoretical consideration, the research was focused on academic paper materials, professional books at home and abroad, and internet analysis. The production of the work used Arduino and presented production circuits and programming sources for the artists to apply to the production of the work. This study is meaningful in presenting new values and possibilities in the expression of objet works.

Art Make-up Design Using Characteristics of Psychedelic Works (사이키델릭 작품의 특성을 활용한 아트 메이크업 디자인)

  • This study suggests art makeup design by utilizing the characteristics of psychedelic works. The study analyzed the concept of being psychedelic and art makeup based on precedent studies and publications, and classified the psychedelic characteristics as being those of mysterious, optical illusions, and playfulness. After selecting the work featuring the characteristics of being psychedelic, six works were created with this motif, by integrating the airbrush, the pictorial, and the object techniques of the art makeup expression techniques. As a result, it was demonstrated that the design that has utilized the characteristics of psychedelic works could be applicable to art makeup. Next, the confluence of art works and art makeup can serve as an approach to drawing creative designs. Thus, this study suggests a direction for extending the creativity and variety of art makeup design, and a continued development for art makeup design by further confluences with various areas is expected

A Support Plan for the Documentation of Contemporary Artists' Work Activities Based on the Analysis of their Current Situation (동시대 미술작가들의 작품활동 기록화 현황과 지원 방안)

  • The study aims to investigate the production and management of contemporary Korean artists' personal records and propose support measures necessary for documenting their work activities, such as educational programs. First, through a literature review, the importance of documenting contemporary artists' work activities and the support program documentation are analyzed. Second, through interviews with six contemporary artists using various formats and media, records production by artistic process and management by documentation type are investigated. Third, based on the investigation analysis, the cooperation and support plan to be cooperated by art museums, archivists, and other record professionals for the artwork documentation is recommended. Areas of support are divided into educational program provision, museum artistic activity documentation, and documentation tools development and support.

  • Director Shin, Dong-il is one of the artists who is constantly pursuing his own work theme with his artistic insistence in the Korean film industry. He is an artist who criticizes modern society's systems, ideologies, and ills and questions them all the time. (2017), which he introduced in eight years after , is an extension of the work theme pursued by previous works, but it is a work that shows a different change from previous works. In this paper, I divide the world of works Shin, Dong-il pursues into three types of Others, Boundaries, and Drives, analyzing the common points and changes of . And through such analysis, I will examine the work theme of Director Shin Dong-il and measure the direction of change.

A study on the impression and expression tendency of the sankei kanseino poster by Ikko Tanaka (타나카 잇코(Tanaka Ikko) 산케이칸세이노(산경관세능(産經觀世能)) 포스터의 인상과 표현경향에 관한 연구)

  • This research is accompanied with Tanaka's works in order to consider the result from the evaluation of his works through an impression analysis and his expression trendency. The nine posters are chosen for appraisal among a series of Kanseino Poster which Ikko Tanaka drew under the sponsorship of Sankei Newspaper. The reason why those posters are selected is that the structure is strong and simple comparatively. Tanaka Ikko's poster works can be generously explained with three factors through a factor analysis. Considering his works in all cluster analysis, in the first group, he makes a good use of traditional materials and his works have a powerful image. In the second group, a geometric figure is arranged simply and a modern image is strong. In the third group, the traditional materials express a modern image. As mentioned above, the mood of his works can be summarized as follows. $\ulcorner$His works have updated the Japanese image from traditional to modern$\lrcorner$.

  • Learning the principles of perception belongs to both the psychology and art field. However, people define that an art education is an activity of expression, so an activity of an art appreciation is either downsized or hardly proceeded in an art class. Therefore, the art appreciation educational program that gives a motivation to appreciate the work of art and to minimize a burden towards the activity of an art appreciation is needed. This paper proposes an educational program that includes activities to appreciate the work of art using the principles of perception and to create personal portfolios. Also, we analyze the eye movement of the paintings according to the principles of perception. Finally, proposes the art appreciation education program based on Feldman's critique method. In addition, we illustrate the example of the proposed art appreciation educational program with the analyzed paintings from section III.

A Study on Designs for the Pulley and Electric-wire for 'HELLO' Artwork at Incheon Airport Terminal 2 (인천공항 제2여객터미널 'HELLO' 작품의 풀리와 전선의 디자인에 관한 연구)

  • This study focused on the designs for the pulley and electric cables for Hello, the artwork displayed at the Great Hall at the Incheon International AirportTerminal 2. This study presented designs for the pulley and cables, and the parts were applied and tested to analyze their durability and problems. Improvements were made for the final production of the work and three samples were produced respectively for the designs of the pulley and the cables. As are sult, this study found that for the pulley, the most efficient design was to fix the cables at its center. In the case of cables, it was most efficient touse flat cables with a wire in the core. These designs were applied to the artwork Hello, which is currently installed at the Great Hall at the Incheon International Airport Terminal 2. Future research will be conducted to make further improvements to the cable sand the pulley.

Convergence of Art and Technology: Based on E.A.T.'s Periodic Background and Characteristics of Works (예술과 기술의 융합: E.A.T.의 시대적 배경과 작품 특성을 중심으로)

  • Recently, interdisciplinary studies have been receiving attention. Interdisciplinary research, especially in arts and technology, is a very interesting issue. E.A.T. was founded in New York in 1966 by artists and engineers. Based on the E.A.T. case, this study analyzed the period background in which art and technology could be converged, and the characteristics of E.A.T. works. The analysis results of the period background revealed that five factors influenced the organization and development of E.A.T.. Economic factors, artistic factors, technical factors, educational factors, and sponsored cultural factors influenced the convergence of art and technology. E.A.T. works collaborated by artists and engineers generally had three characteristics. Convergence across various fields, multi-sensitivity utilizing different senses, and interaction between the environment and humans appeared in E.A.T. works. This study provides meaningful implications for both artists and engineers who wish to overcome the limitations of artistic expression and develop new technology.

A case study of ceramic design that combines 3D printing technology (3D 프린팅 기술을 융합한 도자디자인 사례 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to review the influence of 3D printing technology on the formability and artistic value of ceramic works through a theoretical review of 3D printing technology and a case study of ceramic works that incorporate them creatively. Thus, the following conclusions were drawn from the analysis of the ceramic works of seven artists and two design teams. First, digital production that incorporates 3D printing technology into works can be applied to data applications and changes, unlike the existing manual methods, and the artist's unique creative artwork is possible. Second, a new paradigm has emerged that expresses the new material, method, advanced digital technology, and more stereoscopic and colorful sculptures out of the traditional ceramic concepts. In the future, I hope to find new methodology that meets the developing digital technology through continuous research and utilization of 3D printing and realizing new value of ceramic design.
