Working memory and sensitivity to prosody in spoken language processing (언어 처리에서 운율 제약 활용과 작업 기억의 관계)

  • Individual differences in working memory predict qualitative differences in language processing. High span comprehenders are better able to integrate probabilistic information such as plausibility and animacy, the use of which requires the computation of real world knowledge in syntactic parsing (e.g.,[1]). However, it is unclear whether similar individual differences exist in the use of informative prosodic cues. This study examines whether working memory modulates the use of prosodic boundary information in attachment ambiguity resolution. Prosodic boundaries were manipulated in globally ambiguous relative clause sentences. The results show that high span listeners are more likely to be sensitive to the distinction between different types of prosodic boundaries than low span listeners. The findings suggest that like high-level constraints, the use of low-level prosodic information is resource demanding.

  • 본 연구는 새로운 객체 지향 모델링 방법으로 VOOM(Various Object-Oriented Modeling)을 제안한다. VOOM은 시스템의 요소 뿐만 아니라 시스템 요소들간의 관계 및 그들로 이루어진 구조를 서로 유형이 다른 프레임으로 정의하여 객체화시키고, 객체화된 시스템 요소 및 관계, 구조를 서로 연결하여 하나의 시스템을 구축하도록 한다. 따라서 전체 시스템의 측면에서 구성 요소의 역할과 전체적인 시스템의 행위 및 구조를 쉽게 파악할 수 있도록 한다. VOOM을 통한 모델링 작업은 체계화되고 검증이 용이해지며, 모델의 유연성 및 재사용성이 확장되어질 수 있다. VOOM에 의한 모델링 작업 지원 가능성이 컴퓨터 통신망을 대상으로 한 시뮤레이션 모델링 예를 통해 제사하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 경기도 일대 2곳의 대형 아파트 현장의 외국인 작업자 165부의 유효 설문지를 바탕으로 외국인 작업자들의 습관적 행위, 공격성, 상황회피, 심리불안 요인이 위험행동과 안전사고 위험지수에 미치는 영향 관계를 가설검증을 통해 습관적 행위, 공격성, 상황회피 및 심리불안 요인은 위험행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 습관적 행위 요인은 안전사고 위험지수에도 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 공격성, 상황회피, 심리불안 요인은 안전사고 위험지수에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 위험작업 행동은 안전사고 위험지수에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 개인적인 성향과 연관이 있는 습관적 행위, 공격성, 상황회피 및 심리불안의 상태가 위험작업으로 발전할 수 있고, 이러한 위험작업행동은 안전사고로 이어질 수 있는 결과를 알 수 있었다. 따라서 외국인 건설현장 작업자의 증가로 인한 안전사고의 증가 문제는 외국인 작업자 때문이기 보다는 외국인 작업자 개인의 성향에 초점을 둘 필요성이 있다고 판단되며, 각 사업장에 직접 투입된 외국인근로자의 성향분석과 그에 따른 개선방안을 도출하면 사고를 줄일 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

The Effect of Leisure Activity, Based on the Model of Human Occupation, on Leisure Satisfaction, Activities of Daily Living and Rehabilitation Motivation in Elderly Patients: Implications for occupational therapy (여가활동을 통한 작업치료가 노인 환자의 여가 만족도, 일상생활활동 수행 능력, 재활 동기에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of leisure-based occupational therapy on leisure satisfaction, activities of daily living, and rehabilitation motivation in elderly patients with chronic diseases. In the study, Subjects were assigned to either the control or experimental group. The experimental group consisted of 10 and the control group of 14 patients. The experimental group receive a Leisure-based occupational therapy intervention, and the control group receive a conventional occupational therapy intervention. Leisure satisfaction, activities of daily living, and rehabilitation motivation were measured to Canadian occupational performance measure(COPM), Korean Activities of Daily Living(K-ADL·K-IADL), and Patient Questionnaire of Rehabilitation Motivation(PAREMO). Evaluation scores were compared before and after intervention to determine whether or not there were differences over time. And we examined the correlation between the variables. The results of this study were as follows: 1) The leisure-based occupational therapy has a significant effect on leisure satisfaction and rehabilitation motivation(p<.01). 2) The conventional occupational therapy has a significant effect on activities of daily living(p<.01). 3) There was a significant correlation between ADL and IADL(p<.01). 4) There was a significant correlation between leisure satisfaction and Rehabilitation Motivation(p<.01). Implications for occupational therapy include that we must offer appropriate approach with considering the interests and value of patients to them. And proposing studies to demonstrate the efficacy of occupational therapy approaches.

  • 주어진 정보를 자연어로 변환하는 작업은 대화 시스템의 핵심 모듈임에도 불구하고 학습 데이터의 제작 비용이 높아 공개된 데이터가 언어에 따라 부족하거나 없다. 이에 본 연구에서는 텍스트-투-그래프(text-to-graph) 작업인 관계 추출에 쓰이는 데이터의 입출력을 반대로 지정하여 그래프-투-텍스트(graph-to-text) 생성 작업에 이용하는 역 관계 추출(reverse relation extraction, RevRE) 기법을 소개한다. 이 기법은 학습 데이터의 양을 늘려 영어 그래프-투-텍스트 작업의 성능을 높이고 지식 묘사 데이터가 부재한 한국어에선 데이터를 재생성한다.

Projection of Activity Duration Utilizing Historical Cost Data (자원투입 비용을 고려한 공정관리 작업기간 산정)

  • Construction managers need to pay a close attention to the resource utilization in order to deliver the construction project successfully. Construction scheduling is crucial for resource control in that it provides information when and how much to bring down work force to sites. In scheduling, activity duration is projected based on the productivity of historical data or the intuition of scheduler. This paper studies the opportunity of applying cost-based productivity for estimating activity duration. For cost-based productivity, the cost of resource is used as an input and the work quantities as an output. Out of historical data, regression model has been developed to understand the validity of applying cost-based productivity in projecting activity duration. The result of study will work as a prerequisite for implementing the environment of database-based construction scheduling.

  • Safety is the most important issue in the construction industry. Especially, work-related disease is increasing and resulted in lack of young workers and high turnover due to its 3D industrial image. The main objective of this paper is to identify the relationship of WRMSD with hand tools used in the building construction industry. In order to reach to the goals, the survey and interviews with laborers are conducted. The data is analyzed in a statistical manner. One of the interesting findings from the research is that the carpenters and steelworkers are the principal trade group suffering from WRMSD due to unsafe working condition and method. The results of the research will be used as the basis for the ergonomic design of the better construction working condition and hand tools.

  • 인력운반작업(Manual Materials Handling)에 의해 초래되는 요통의 발생을 줄이기 위해서 작업설계부터 작업부하량에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대한 과학적이고 체계적인 고려가 이루어진 분석방법이 도입되어야 할 필요성이 크다고 하겠으며 이를위하여 우선 최대근력의 측정과 평가가 선행되어야만 될 것이다. 따라서 신체적인 특성과 각 근력의 상호관계가 분석·고찰되었으며 최대근력을 실험적으로 측정하여 평가하였다.

A Study on the Effect of High Performance Work System on Organizational Effectiveness - Focusing on the regulating role of HR management effectiveness - (고성과 작업시스템이 조직유효성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 인사관리 효과성의 조절역할을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the influence of the high performance and the work system recognized by the organizational members participating in the NCS enterprise utilization consulting on the organizational effectiveness and the influence of the organizational performance. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the research hypotheses were verified by applying multiple regression analysis and co-integration regression analysis on the 145 usable results from using the statistical program of SPSS 24.0. The results of this study are as follows. First, hypothesis 1, the analysis of positive(+) influence on organizational effectiveness on the characteristics of the system (selection system, evaluation and compensation, education and training opportunity, member participation system, job stability) was adopted due to its' positive(+) and significant relationship. Second, hypothesis 2, an analysis that the organizational effectiveness would have a positive impact on organizational performance was adopted due to its' proven work. However, its' effectiveness will need verification. Third, regression analysis was conducted to confirm the role of the hypothesis 3, personnel management effectiveness, between the high performance and the work system (selection system, evaluation/compensation, education/training opportunity, member participation system, job stability). As a result, Hypothesis 3 showed that the selection system (H3-1), evaluation and compensation(H3-2), education and career opportunities(H3-3), member participation system(H3-4), job stability(H3-4) showed that organizational effectiveness has a moderating role in HR effectiveness. The main implication of this study is that the positive and working system recognized by the organizational members has positive affects on organizational effectiveness and organizational performance. In order to enhance the substantiality management system through improvement of organizational performance, a regular implementation plan on a high-performance working system along with education & training system to improve organizational effectiveness is required so that the members of the organization could form a consensus. Second, as a result of confirming the moderating effects of HR management effectiveness, the moderating role of HR management system and organization effectiveness was verified positive. Therefore, this study shows that the part that verifies both organizational effectiveness and organizational performance through high-performance working system and the part that confirmed the role of control between high-performance work system and organizational effectiveness are the biggest difference from the previous research.

MRQUTER : A Parallel Qualitative Temporal Reasoner Using MapReduce Framework (MRQUTER: MapReduce 프레임워크를 이용한 병렬 정성 시간 추론기)

  • In order to meet rapid changes of Web information, it is necessary to extend the current Web technologies to represent both the valid time and location of each fact and knowledge, and reason their relationships. Until recently, many researches on qualitative temporal reasoning have been conducted in laboratory-scale, dealing with small knowledge bases. However, in this paper, we propose the design and implementation of a parallel qualitative temporal reasoner, MRQUTER, which can make reasoning over Web-scale large knowledge bases. This parallel temporal reasoner was built on a Hadoop cluster system using the MapReduce parallel programming framework. It decomposes the entire qualitative temporal reasoning process into several MapReduce jobs such as the encoding and decoding job, the inverse and equal reasoning job, the transitive reasoning job, the refining job, and applies some optimization techniques into each component reasoning job implemented with a pair of Map and Reduce functions. Through experiments using large benchmarking temporal knowledge bases, MRQUTER shows high reasoning performance and scalability.
