작도 문제의 해결 방법

  • 작도 문제는 역사적으로 아주 오래된 문제 중의 하나일 뿐만 아니라, 현재 우리 나라 기하 교육에 있어 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 즉, 평면 기하의 중심 정리들 중의 하나인 삼각형의 합동 조건들을 도입하기 위한 기초로 주어진 조건들(세 선분, 두 선분과 이들 사이의 끼인각, 한 선분과 그 양 끝에 놓인 두 각)에 상응하는 삼각형의 작도가 행해진다. 그러나, 현행 수학 교과서나 수학 교수법을 살펴보면, 작도 문제 해결 방법 및 지도에 대한 연구가 미미한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 작도 문제의 특성, 작도 문제의 해결 방법 및 지도에 관한 접근을 모색할 것이다. 이를 통해, 학습자들이 다양한 탐색 활동 속에서 작도 문제를 탐구할 수 있는 이론적, 실제적 근거를 제시하고, 수학 심화 학습에 작도 문제를 이용할 수 있는 가능성을 제시할 것이다.

A Study on the Meaning of Construction in Euclid Elements (에서 작도의 의미에 대한 고찰)

  • The construction in the ancient Greek era had more meanings than a construction in the present education. Based on this fact, this study examines the meaning of the current textbook. In contrast, we have extracted the meaning of the constructions in Euclid Elements. In addition, we have been thinking about what benefits can come up if the meaning of the construction in Euclid Elements was reflected in current education, and suggested a way to exploit that advantage. As results, it was confirmed that the construction in the current textbook was merely a means for introducing and understanding the congruent conditions of the triangle. On the other hand, the construction had four meanings in Euclid Elements; Abstract activities that have been validated by the postulates, a mean of demonstrating the existence of figures and obtaining validity for the introduction of auxiliary lines, refraining from intervening in the argument except for the introduction of auxiliary lines, a mean of dealing with numbers and algebra. Finally we discussed the advantages of using the constructions as a means of ensuring the validity of the introduction of the auxiliary line to the argument. And we proposed a viewpoint of construction by intervention of virtual tools for auxiliary lines which can not be constructed with Euclid tool.

A Study on the Errors Related with Constructing Regular Polygons in 'Method of Ruler and Compass' ('자와 컴퍼스의 방법'에 제시된 정다각형 작도의 오류에 대한 연구)

  • In this paper we study errors related with constructing regular polygons in the book 'Method of Ruler and Compass' written three hundreds years ago. It is well known that regular heptagon and regular nonagon are not constructible using compass and ruler. But in this book construction methods of these regular polygons is suggested. We show that the construction methods are incorrect, it include some errors.

Changes in Fatty Acid Composition and Phytosterol Content in Double Cropping Maize (이기작에 따른 옥수수의 지방산 조성 및 Phytosterol 함량 변화)

  • The average growth day of 11 maize varieties from planting to silking in the first cropping (FC) was 89.5 days and in the second cropping (SC) was 46.7 days, which was 43 days faster than in the FC. The average 100-kernel weight (100 KW) in the FC was 28.4 g and 18.3 g in the SC, which was approximately 36.4% lower than that in the FC. The average crude oil content of FC was 3.97% and SC was 3.08%, which was about 0.89% lower than that of FC. The composition of stearic and oleic acid was significantly higher in FC, whereas palmitic and linoleic acid were higher in SC; however, linolenic acid was not statistically different between the two crops. The crude oil content was negatively correlated with linoleic acid (FC -0.264ns, SC -0.504**) and positively correlated with linolenic acid (0.526**). Unsaturated fatty acid (USFA) composition showed a significant difference between FC (83.48%) and SC (82.96%). Total phytosterol content was 598.3 mg/100 g and 701.9 mg/100 g in FC and SC, respectively, and showed significant difference by planting dates. The β-sitosterol content showed no statistical difference between the planting dates, but campesterol and stigmasterol were significantly higher in SC than in FC. Therefore, it was considered that the temperature condition during the ripening period affects the 100 KW of maize, and this leads to the variation in phytosterol content. However, among phytosterols, β-sitosterol was relatively little affected by the planting dates. USFA composition showed a significantly negative correlation with phytosterol content. Considering the results, the relatively high phytosterol content in SC was mainly because of the delay in progress of starch accumulation as daily air temperature decreased from the middle of the ripening period, whereas progress of phytosterol accumulation in the maize kernel was considered relatively faster than that of starch accumulation.

  • 복소힐버트 공간상에서 정의된 작용소 중에서 최근 많이 연구되는 분야는 부분정규작용소와 초정규작용소들 들 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 작용소의 부분정규성과 초정규성 사이에 있는 작용소의 여러 성질을 살펴보고 특히 $\textsc{k}$차초정규, 이차약초정규, 삼차약초정규, 다항초정규, 토에플리츠작용소 및 약부분정규작용소에 관한 최근의 연구 결과들을 살펴보며 이와 관련되 미해결 문제들을 제시한다. 마지막으로 틈이론의 응용으로서 작용소이론의 큰 문제인 불변공간문제와의 관련성을 살펴보고 틈이론의 전망과 기타 관련정보를 소개한다.

부산시청사 현상공모 수상작 발표

  • 부산 시청사 현상설계 공모결과 일신종합건축이 당선작으로 선정되었다. 총16개 작품이 응모한 이번 현상공모에는 당선작 외에 부림 건축+동일건축 안이 우수작으로 선정 되었으며,신도시건축안과 세진 건축안이 가작으로 선정되었다. 당선작으로 선정된 일신 건축안은 건물의 상징성이 부각된 건물로 오픈스페이스가 많이 확보되어 이상적이고, 배치 및 동선계획이 적절히 계획되었으며, 전면의 여유 있는 공간을 확보 건물의 친근감을 주도록 계획되었다. 청사는 93년에 착공하여 96년 말까지 공사를 끝내고 시청 및 시의회, 경찰청 등이 들어서게 된다. 본지에서는 당선작과 우수작1점, 가작2점을 게재코자 한다.

  • In this paper we solve various triangle construction problems given by three points(a midpoint of side and other two points). We investigate relation between these construction problems, draw out a base problem, and make hierarchy of solved construction problems. In detail we describe analysis for searching solving method, and construction procedure of required triangle.

  • In the present study, we analyze four seventh grade students' recognition of geometric properties and the following justification processes while their adopting different construction approaches in GSP(Geometer's Sketchpad). As the students recognized dependency and level-1 invariants by dragging activities, they determined their own construction approaches. Two students, who preferred robust construction, immediately recognized the path of a draggable point and provided step-1 justification. The other students attempted soft construction followed by their recognition of level-2 invariants and the path, and came to step-2 justification.

  • The early Renaissance artist Albrecht $D{\ddot{u}}rer$ is an amateur mathematician. He published a book on geometry. In the second part of that book, $D{\ddot{u}}rer$ gave compass and straight edge constructions for the regular polygons from the triangle to the 16-gon. For mathematics education, I extracted base constructions of polygon constructions. And I also showed how to use $D{\ddot{u}}rer^{\prime}s$ idea in constructing divergent forms with compass and ruler. The contents of this paper can be expected to be the baseline data for mathematics education.

  • 중앙대학교에서는 안성 제2캠퍼스의 상징성을 부여하고 대학건물의 임의성을 탈피, 자율성을 증대하고자 현상설계경기를 실시, 지난 1월 9일 그 결과를 발표했다. 이번 현상설계경기에는 총 5개 사무소에서 참여한 결과 당선작으로는 예지ㆍ인건축(박희성)안이 선정됐으며, 우수작은 한전건축(김수학)안이, 가작으로는 종합건축수목(한 철)안이 각각 선정됐다. 당선작과 우수작을 게재한다.
