Dispersion and self-sensing evaluation for single-carbon fiber reinforced in three different acid-treated CNT-epoxy nanocomposites were investigated by electro-micromechanical techniques and wettability tests. Self-sensing based on contact resistivity exhibited more noise for single carbon fiber/acid-treated CNT-epoxy composites than it did for untreated CNT. However, the apparent modulus was higher the acid treated case than the untreated case which is attributed to better stress transfer. The interfacial shear strength (IFSS) between carbon fibers and the CNT-epoxy was lower than that between carbon fiber and neat epoxy due to the increased viscosity associated with the addition of the CNT. The CNT-epoxy nanocomposite exhibited more hydrophobicity than did neat epoxy. Change in the thermodynamic work of adhesion was consistent with changes in the IFSS but disproportional to that of the apparent modulus. The optimum condition of acid treatment on the need can be obtained instead of the maximum condition.

Interfacial evaluation was investigated for single-carbon fiber/phenolic and carbon nanotube (CNT)-phenolic composites by micromechanical technique and electrical resistance measurement combined with wettability test. Compressive strength of pure phenol and CNT-phenolic composites were compared using Broutman specimen. The contact resistance of CNT-phenolic composites was obtained using a gradient specimen by two and four-point methods. Surface energies and wettability by dynamic contact angle measurement were measured using Wilhelmy plate technique. Since hydrophobic domains are formed as heterogeneous microstructure of CNT in the surface, the dynamic contact angle exhibited more than $90^{\circ}$. CNT-phenolic composites exhibited a higher apparent modulus than neat phenolic case due to better stress transferring effect. Work of adhesion, $W_a$ between single-carbon fiber and CNT-phenolic composites exhibited higher than neat phenolic resin due to the enhanced viscosity by CNT addition. It was consistent with micro-failure patterns in microdroplet test.

Although it is important to have high strength of each of fiber and matrix, interface between fiber and matrix is most important. If NaCl water penetrates the interface, that area will be weak. So experiment about increasing interfacial strength is in process. In this study, the change of properties by mechanical, interfacial and micromechanical tests was observed after NaCl and aging treatment. The changes in mechanical properties of glass fiber were investigated using single-fiber tensile test. Interfacial properties between glass fiber and epoxy resin were evaluated using nondestructive acoustic emission (AE) and micromechanical test applied to fatigue test. Through change of fatigue properties, relative interfacial properties were evaluate. In conclusion, glass fiber diameter decreased and the reduction of mechanical and interfacial was observed with NaCl solution and aging treatment.

This study investigates how 'multi-perspective' can be utilized in animation. For this goal, 1 used the traditional techniques of Korean folk paintings called 'Minhwa.' Most 'Minhwa' works, employ 'multi-perspectives', instead of linear perspective of the Western tradition that has been only taught to students under the formal education system. In Minhwa parts of reality are not only stylized but also fragmented and combined within the same frame. Other common techniques of 'Minhwa' include frontal view, bird's eye view, and inverse-perspective, which are of ien combined in one single work. The purpose of this study is to develop a working principle and practically apply it to , an animation piece based on the Korean folktale of the same title. In doing so, I have proposed a way to reconstruct and revitalize the traditional art form in the age of digital technology and have concluded that 'Multi-perspective' in 'Minhwa' can be utilized in other contents such as animation.'Multi-perspective' in 'Minhwa' is a rich source that has numerous cultural applications.

The digital cartoons market is looking for a new growth momentum as the radical increases of the demands and markets about the mobile contents with portable instrument popularization. The conventional digital cartoons markets which are based on web-toon, page viewer cartoons and e-paper cartoons have been studied various fields to overcome some limitations such as the traditional cartoons had. The mobile cartoons which have been changed more and more, have some canvas limitations due to the mobile screen size. These limitations lead to the communication problems between the cartoonists and the subscribers and resulting some obstacles of mobile cartoons activations. In this paper, we developed a authoring tool applied the Screen Flow method to overcome inefficiency of conventional authoring methods. This proposed method can reflect the cartoonists' during the process of authoring mobile cartoons, thereafter we studied about the authoring method of mobile cartoons and its effects. For the convenience of users creating and distributing content in a way has been studied.

For the domestic web-toon industry, a new industrial environment has been created by the growth various domestic and international factors, such as technology development, the increase of platforms, charged web-toon, and globalization. Although the role of the agency has not been emphasized at the formation and introduction time of the web-toon, the role growth of the agency has been regularized with the expanding of the web-toon industry. The expending web-toon industry is due to the introduction of smart-phone, by which people can consume the web-toon without any limit of time and place, so the web-toon industry has been growing rapidly. Thereafter the production of the second contents using the web-toon IP has been actively carried out and the activity area of the web-toon artist has been diversified, so the necessity of the specialized web-toon agency has begun to be brought in earnest. In this study, the web-toon industry has been, firstly, classified as transition period of cartoon industry, foothold formation period of web-toon, introduction period of web-toon industry, expansion period, and maturity period according to the industrial life cycle theory. As a result, the web-toon agency has been emerged from the expansion period of web-toon industry, and the role of agency, to prevent web-toon industry entering into declining period from its maturity period, has been researched in this study.

The 1920s and 1930s ushered in "the golden age" of Chinese comics when the comics flourished. Satirical cartoons in modern Chinese comics were popular due to emotional instability and war caused by foreign powers. Among many popular comics, this paper analyzes in the 1920s and in the 1930s which were made into films and dramas. Chapter Two shows that China in the Republican era of China expanded its consumer culture into some sectors like films, novels, magazines and fashion in the 1920s and 1930s. However, more than any other things, this chapter considers from the historical perspective "the golden age" of comics including comic magazine in the 1930s and a history of comic magazines that gained popularity with conventional and common story. Chapter Three explains that social satire cartoons were in vogue since the May Fourth Movement and anti-imperialistic and semi-feudalistic stories in the 1920s were realized in life. It also says that comics that describes the negative sides of its society were popular. Ye QianYu, a cartoonist, portrayed many facets of Shanghai through : the daily life of the middle and lower classes, bureaucratic corruption and sympathy for the working class. drawn by Zhang LePing describes the unfair social system between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat and the gap between the rich and poor through the main character, the powerless and poor orphan. and lampooned the reality of its time in an objective, witty and humorous way in terms of ethics and economy respectively. The researcher chooses to study and which are very familiar to us, because good cartoons, animations and movies stimulate the feelings about our surroundings.

In the 2000s, Korean cinema maintained the industrial growth on the strength of 10 million audiences and the successful Korean blockbuster. A variety of film materials such as history, politics, social issues, and the division between North and South Korea ideology were addressed in the movies, and one of the movies based on a true story was popular. Accordingly, external size of the film industry has been gradually expanding. Korean public movies have a firm position in the film market, and a diversity of discussion is made as the movies spontaneously get attention. Also, the influence of social media and media which recognized far-reaching powers of public films causes a political and social change, but it also provokes ideology controversy. Objectivity of this study is first to discuss factors and initiating causes that Korean movies have firmly settled as public movies since late 1990s. Secondly, this study considers relation among media, social media. and Korean public film that aroused more arguments on politics, society, and history in 2000s. The powerful influence of films on society not only leads political change but also affects awareness change of audience and the role of social media.

As the population of silver generation is increased, there are emerged the aging society and the silver industry as social issues. Previous studies in the fields of library & information science, education, the industrial art science suggested the need for fairy tale books for the silver generation, and from the design perspective, the characteristics of fairy tale books for the silver generation were analyzed. A fairy tale book is not only a medium delivering some information, but also a platform that a writer provides services to readers. Therefore, the purpose of this study aimed to suggest the importance of sensual experience on the design of fairy book for the silver generation, and to analyze such kind of fairy book's format, grid, typography, type, edition structure, image, layout, cover, paper, printing and production on the basis of five senses. According to the findings of this study, it was found that fairy tale books for the silver generation had different characteristics(type, picture, color, paper, etc.) from those for children, and it would be desirable to make designs for fairy tale books for the silver generation under the silver generation's esthetics standards with considering the silver generation's physiological, psychological factors. It is expected that this study would become a good foundation for more intensive researches for fairy tale books for the silver generation in future and would also be theoretically helpful in developing fairy tale books for the silver generation in future.

The purpose of this study is to reconsider whether Temple in William Faulkner's Requiem for a Nun has grown morally. Temple in Sanctuary, the previous work was raped with a corn cob by Popeye and perjured in the court, resulting in Lee Goodwin's brutal death. Now she is now a mother of two children and a wife of Gowan Stevens, but she cannot get out of the past and tries to run away with Pete, Red's brother, but she was resisted by Nancy Mannigoe, a nanny. Nancy tries to stop Temple sacrificing herself and Temple's baby. When confronting Nancy who accepted her death sentence without hesitation, Temple realized her past guilt which never fades out. A lapse of 20 years between Sanctuary and Requiem provides Temple and author himself opportunities for spiritual and moral growth in spite of painful realization that the past is never past. On the other hand, Faulkner tells the history and the past of Jefferson elaborating the description of the courthouse and the jail. Both are correlated in thematic perspective, the former representing humanity's need for security, the latter the opposite impulse toward aggression and destruction. but together represent the presentness of the past and the fluidity of time.
