A Study on The Effects of a Primary on The Party Defection Voting Behavior of Congressmen (의원의 당론이탈 투표에 미치는 경선의 효과: 제20대 국회 본회의 표결을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify that voting behavior of congressmen can vary depending on the different candidate selection methods of political parties. Specifically, this paper examines whether congressmen elected through a primary tend to deviate from the party line vote in the floor voting, compared to those who did not. As a result, it was founded that congressmen who went through competition of the primary are more likely to defect from the party line vote than who did not. This empirical evidence suggests that if the introduction of the open primary system is further expanded in the future, it may lead to weakening of party cohesion and reinforcing lawmakers' autonomy.

And the domain analysis, required extraction by conventional JAD (joint application development) meeting the targets for the object-oriented modeling, in modeling and organize, review, aware in advance and the UML Structure and Behavior Diagrams and proposed to proceed with the project.

Study on Time-of-day Operation of Pedestrian Signal Based on Residual Pedestrians (잔류보행기반 시간대별 보행신호 운영기법 연구)

  • As pedestrian deaths account for a high proportion of traffic accident deaths in Korea, interest in pedestrian safety is growing. In particular, it is necessary to develop various pedestrian-centered traffic signal operation techniques to improve the pedestrian environment at signal intersections. Therefore, in this study, a method for time-of-day operating a pedestrian signal based on residual pedestrians was studied. To this end, the pedestrian signal operation technique in response to the pedestrian demand, which is operated by extending the pedestrian signal time only during the time when the pedestrian demand and the number of remaining pedestrians increase, was applied to the field. The difference in safety according to the application of the new pedestrian signal operation technique was statistically analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the residual pedestrian rate decreased by 20% (3.3 people) before application and 8% (1.4 people) after application, and the residual pedestrian rate in the crosswalk at the time of red signal decreased by 12% (1.9 people), And it was analyzed that the position of the residual pedestrian decreased by 3.3m from 5.2m before application to 1.9m after application.

  • This thesis analyzes the backgrounds of the third offset strategy of the US Department of Defense. The key technology areas to be developed and the implications of the 3rd strategy are also examined. The potential great powers, China and Russia have catched up with US in the certain areas of military technologies. The technological superiority of US military is found to have been eroded. The US DOD needs a new defense policy called the 3rd offset strategy to meet this new challenge. The 5 basic technology areas were identified; learning machines, human-machine collaboration, machine-assisted human operations, human-machine combat teaming, and autonomous weapons. The 3rd offset strategy should be managed not to move to the new arms race with rivalries. The defense acquisition system also needs to be improved for the smooth flow of the advanced commercial technologies to the defense sector. Korea needs to figure out the possible technologies of co-research and development with US.

  • The study aims to establish a syllabus for P university in an effort to improve the quality of tertiary education. Twenty seven universities' syllabi were collected in order to compare their components and contents. Individual interviews were conducted with 15 professors at P university, and their opinions were collected. As a result of several processes, including analyzing previous studies for syllabi, investigating other universities' syllabi, and interviewing faculty at P University, a syllabus of an accordion type was suggested for use at P university. The developed syllabus was examined by two experts in the education field. The pedagogical implication and suggestions for an established syllabus are also discussed.

Autonomous Unmanned Vehicle based Self-locomotion Network for Tracking Targets in Group Mobility (그룹이동타겟 추적을 위한 무인차량기반의 자가이동 네트워크)

  • In this paper, we propose unmanned vehicle based tracking network (UVTN) architecture and algorithms which employ multiple autonomous unmanned ground vehicles (AUGV) to efficiently follow targets in a group. The goal of UVTN is to maximize the service coverage while tracking target nodes for monitoring or providing the network access. In order to achieve this goal, UVTN performs periodic expansion and contraction which results in optimized redistribution of AUGV's in the network. Also, enhanced algorithms such as fast contraction and longest first are also discussed to improve the performance of UVTN in terms of the average coverage ratio and traveled distance. Simulation results show that the proposed UVTN and enhanced algorithms can effectively track the moving target and provide the consistent coverage.

  • The automotive industry is facing a paradigm shift, changing from owning to sharing and from manufacturing to service. However, it is hard to conclude that the economic value of smart mobility service is always positive to users. Cost related to owing or share a vehicle is very hard to estimate from the perspective of potential users as well as the benefit of the service. Focusing on the cost side of the story, this study develops a cost estimating model based on three main factors: electrification, advanced driving assistant systems (ADAS) function, and participation of ride-sharing service. As a result of the model analysis, low cost was estimated as a result when receiving cost benefits such as electrification and ride-sharing participation. Various factors were analyzed through sensitivity analysis also. These results can provide useful insights into the cost prediction and strategies for potential users and manufacturers on smart mobility service market.

  • Korea's period for preservation of embryos is up to five years (the Bioethics Act). However, the study reviewed domestic and foreign laws and drew issues due to the recent demand that the development of related science and technology and the period limitation limit the rights of consent holder for embryo production. the first issue is that preserved embryos are intended for pregnancy, and it is important to ensure that the autonomy of the consent holder is protected through careful consideration based on information such as scientific evidence. the second is that regulations regarding the obligation to manage embryonic preservation institutions are needed. the third is to create a social atmosphere in which embryo creation, preservation, and disposal take place in a minimum range, considering the special status of embryos. based on this issue, the first of the proposals for rational improvement of the regulation and system about embryo preservation is the introduction of an environment in which sufficient explanation and appropriate consent can be exercised and to extend the reasons for the extension of the period, rather than specifying the specific period in law. the second is that institutionalization is necessary considering not only the obligation to manage preservation institutions but also the overall site, such as concerns that may arise as a result. lastly, we propose the introduction of a management method considering the future use of embryos, such as transfer to provide research purposes and donation of pregnancy purposes by others. this process should be a method of sufficient social discussion and consensus, as well as a general consideration of the family relationship with the born child.

  • The OBCP called 'operator on board' is that of a procedure to be executed on-board, which can be easily be loaded, executed, and also replaced, without modifying the remainder of the FSW. The use of OBCP enhances the on-board autonomy capabilities and increases the robustness to ground stations outages. The OBCP engine which is the core module of OBCP component in the FSW interprets and executes of the procedures based on script language written using a high-level language, possibly compiled, and it is relying on a virtual machine of the OBCP engine. FSW team in KARI has studied OBCP since 2010 as FSW team's internal projects, and made some OBCP engines such as Java KVM, RTCS/C and KKOMA on ERC32 processor target only for study. Recently we have been studying ESA's OBCP standard and implementing Lua and MicroPython on LEON2-FT/AT697F processor target as the OBCP engine. This paper presents the design and implementation of Lua for the OBCP engine on AT697F processor with VxWorks RTOS, and describes the evaluation result and performance of the OBCP engine.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a sample chapter of mathematics textbook at the first middle school according to the model of supporting learners' self-directed learning. The self-directed learning is a learning strategy to develop learner's ability to solve unstructured problems by himself or herself. Basically, the textbook should included learning objectives distinctively. Second textbook should consist of some appropriate method for learners to learn content. Third, it suggests some plans to utilize learning strategies of this model effectively when authors or developers develop textbooks in future. Based on those condition, it is also requested that the sample chapter of the textbook be develop in order to study interestingly as well as to implement self-directed study, and content materials using mixed diverse subjects would be included in the chapter. Furthermore, the sample chapter which is suitable to the semester of managing self-directed learning middle school would be developed. For this purpose, in this study the 'Plane shapes' was selected dealt with in the first middle school. The sample chapter is developed at first by the researchers and then revised and completed through the checking from the professionalists two times.
