Influential Factors on the Change in Life Satisfaction of Elderly Households -Longitudinal Analysis using a Latent Growth Model (노인가구 노인의 삶의 만족도 변화에 미치는 영향 요인 -잠재성장모형을 이용한 종단연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the influential factors on the change in life satisfaction of elderly households. In this study, single and couple elderly households were defined as elderly households and the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th data of the Korean Longitudinal Survey of Ageing (KLoSA) provided by the Korea Employment Information Service (KEIS) were used. And 677 respondents aged 65 and over who had replied to all 3 sessions were included in the final subjects. multinomial logistic regression analysis was conducted to examine the influential factors on life satisfaction by the type of elderly households according to consumption pattern and the result showed that there were common influential factors such as house owning status and subjective health status and the factors that influence specific types such as expectancy of standard of living. In addition, in the longitudinal analysis of life satisfaction of elderly households, individual satisfaction level was confirmed to reduce with time and the factors that influence the longitudinal change in the level of life satisfaction of elderly households was analyzed through the conditional model of a latent growth model. The analysis results showed that household type, house owning status, and subjective health status influenced the initial value of life satisfaction of elderly households while household type and expectancy of living standard influenced the change rate of life satisfaction of elderly households. Based on the results of this study, the followings are suggested. There is a need to improve the life satisfaction of old age by increasing the opportunity for self-realization of elderly households and also policy approach should be made selectively taking various types into consideration.

Park Golf Participation of Physically Disabled Impact on Psychological Well-being and Subjective Happiness (파크골프 참여가 지체장애인의 심리적 웰빙과 주관적 행복감에 미치는 영향)

  • Is to identify how this affects the physically disabled to participate in the program 12 weeks Park Golf psychological well-being and happiness, the purpose of this research is subjective. How to study subjects, only 40-year-old disabled man more than 24 people total delay experimental group and 12 patients(failure cut seven, delayed dysfunction 5) and the control group and 12 patients(failure cut six, delayed dysfunction in 4, two people were involved in the joint disorder). 3 times a week(Mon, Wed, Fri), was carried out 50 minutes into 12 weeks of the experimental period, was located at River Park Golf Course A test place. We calculate the pre-and post-test data mean and standard deviation using SPSS Statistics 21.0 statistical data processing program, binary repeated measures ANOVA to analyze the effects on the psychological well-being of the disabled and subjective effects euphoria Park Golf Participation(was performed 2-way [2] RM ANOVA). First results in psychological well-being of the two groups according to Park Golf participate in group comparisons before and after the exercise involved only fun, immersive and shows were not significantly different, within each group enjoyment, competence, self-realization, all the children of the immersion showed a significant difference in the factors. Second, before and after participation in exercise, there was a significant difference between groups in subjective happiness of two groups according to Park Golf participation, the two groups were not significantly different within. Taken together the results to see more, showed that the positive effects on the psychological well-being and subjective happiness Park Golf participation is the Physically Disabled.

An Integrative Review of Well-aging research in Korea (국내 웰에이징 연구에 대한 통합적 문헌고찰)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify characteristics of well-aging related research conducted in Korea and to analyze the concept definition to present the direction for future well-aging research in Korea. As a research method, an integrated literature review suggested by Whittemore & Knafl was conducted. Study results found research conducted in Korea consisted of 2 literature reviews, case studies, qualitative studies, 3 survey studies, and 2 experimental studies. In addition, there were 3 studies performed prior to 2017 and 8 studies after that included 2 dissertations and 9 dissertations in academic journals. The definition of well aging consisted of physical, emotional, social, economic, and self-realization aspects. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to provide education and programs according to life cycles to prepare well aging, and in the future, well-aging studies should be conducted in various academic fields.

  • Based on the Everyday Information Seeking Behavior Theory, this study investigates information activities and library experience of 66 elderly or people with disabilities in Autonomous District A. In addition, this study analyzes contextual circumstances of daily information activities through in-depth interviews with a subset of 11 people. Although community welfare centers provide basic welfare, the elderly and people with disabilities seek to learn and socialize in cultural welfare centers, particularly in libraries. This study shows that libraries can fulfill their top three of Maslow's hierarchy of needs: Self-Actualization, Esteem, and Love and Belonging. Specifically, digital literacy education has been identified to be highly demanded. They seek to distinguish correct online information and to socialize using digital technologies in this contactless society. This study proposes a detailed plan for public libraries to offer cultural and information welfare in order to reduce the information gap within the local communities.

  • In this study, some of the contents of the sentence " Ti-Yu zhi Yan-Jiu " written by young man Mao Ze Dong were directly interpreted and examined, and it was intended to summarize what the reasons for this sport, which influenced the formation of his sports thoughts in the future, had on sports development in modern China. As a research method, the original text "Ti-Yu zhi Yan-Jiu" contains young man Mao Ze Dong's unique thoughts on physical education some of the introductions and Articles 2 and 6 of the main text are mainly cited and excerpted. In conclusion, in this sentence, Mao Ze dong summarized that physical education is the way to overcome virtue and knowledge, and active physical education activities accelerate individual self-realization. First, he is a physical education in Salvation is the purpose of the evils of physical education at the time and that actual physical education must be a story, and make some comments.   • 'Thinking and Expression' develops comprehensive problem-solving ability to solve various problems in life and society by cultivating thinking skills such as creative, logical, reflective thinking, and connected thinking and communication ability to communicate one's thoughts through writing and speaking. This is a college basic liberal arts course established to improve students. The purpose of this study is to introduce the case of rewriting of literature reading and healing performed as an extension of storytelling learning in 'Thinking and Expression' class. In class, we read Michel Tournier's short story "Let Joy Remain in Me" and shared our feelings about the final scene of the work. Then, we each presented a question that came to mind as we read the work, and we shared our thoughts with the members of the group. Next, the students created the content that will follow the last scene of the work with the direction of healing. Through this, we tried to read the work carefully and deeply appreciate its contents, and we had time to feel the creative experience of the reader re-creating the meaning of the work and the effect of healing rewriting. Then, we turned the direction of reflection to the realm of the reader's own life and expressed their desired future self in writing, imagining that it had already been realized. Through this, we tried to discover the meaning of practical rewriting towards self-actualization.

Developing the Self-Reporting Scale of Community Integration for the Person with Psychiatiric Disabilities (정신장애인의 자기보고식 지역사회통합 척도 개발)

  • This study aims to develop a valid self-report scale for the community integration of persons with psychiatric disabilities. To this end, conducted were in-depth interviews with individuals with psychiatric disabilities, consultation with experts, and a survey. First, literature review and the in-depth interview with individuals with psychiatric disabilities were collected questionnaires regarding the community integration of persons with psychiatric disabilities. Second, preliminary research 1 focused on the selection and modification of the items collected in the first research. Final 44 items were selected by the verification of the importance and content-validity of items under the advices of professionals. Lastly, preliminaty research 2 applied cross-validation method to the data from 524 cases in order to verify the factor structure and concept-validity of the items. The result of exploratory factor analysis shows that 5 factor structures are the most appropriate, and the confirmatory factor analysis suggests that the Self-reporting Scale of Community Integration for the person with psychiatric disabilities consists of 27 questionnaires which compose 5sub-concepts such as'psychological integration','physical integration', 'social support', 'social integration', 'independence/self-actualization'. Moreover, this scale was significantly related to the 'Life Satisfaction scale for the person with psychiatric disabilities'. This proved concurrent validity of the scale.

Exploring the Impacts of Bridging and Bonding Social Capital on Travel Experience Sharing Behavior on SNS (사회적 자본이 SNS에서 여행 경험 공유 행동에 미치는 영향)

  • Social Network Service(SNS) has fundamentally changed the scope, boundaries, and dynamics of social interactions, becoming an integral part of everyday social communication for individuals and significantly altering the decision-making processes of individuals and organizations. Although prior studies have agreed that individual motivations significantly affect travel experience sharing behavior on SNS, different motivations need to be further examined. Also, there is little empirical study that examines the relationships between social capital and motivations. To address these gaps, this study developed a research model to investigate how two types of social capital (i.e., bridging and bonding) influence individual motivations (i.e., self-enhancement and altruism motivations), which in turn contributes to travel experience sharing behavior on SNS. The online survey was conducted from March 3 to March 17, 2021, and 516 responses were included in the data analysis. Structural Equation Modeling was applied to test the hypotheses in a research model. This research provided a comprehensive exploration of the relationship between motivations and social capital, contributing to a better understanding of why tourists share their travel experiences on SNS.

  • The core of this study is to review South Korea's individual-driven training scheme, identify factors hindering elderly participation, and derive implications to support their retention and participation of the elderly in the labor market. This study focuses on population aging, examining the National Lifelong Learning Card system and the current employment insurance scheme, both initiatives of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, to assess the status and issues surrounding elderly participation in vocational training. Based on this analysis, the study seeks to derive policy measures and academic significance to promote elderly participation in vocational training. Based on this analysis, the study aims to derive policy measures and academic significance to promote the participation of older adults in vocational training. The findings emphasized the importance of employment retention for elderly and highlighted the need for vocational training tailored to the specific characteristics of each individual, along with the necessity for professional life-career consulting. Based on these findings, the study proposed recommendations to promote self-directed training among elderly, including enhancing the diversity of vocational training to meet individuals' varied needs, implementing lifelong vocational training programs from a life-cycle perspective, creating age-friendly workplaces at the national level, encouraging individual-driven training participation for the self-realization of elderly, and strengthening the linkage between employment counseling and vocational training for elderly.

  • A safe residential environment enhances the quality of human life and promotes community development through self-actualization. It significantly affects regional stability by influencing the physical and psychological environment necessary to satisfy basic needs, providing a sense of security and alleviating anxiety. Safety is a major housing need; however, current housing policies tend to focus predominantly on housing supply. This emphasis limits the fulfillment of higher-level needs due to poor housing conditions and housing cost burdens faced by young households. Therefore, this study aims to identify areas affected by the stigma effect by analyzing the discrepancy between perceived crime risk and actual crime occurrence among single-person young households. The study compares these stigmatized areas with regions where the perceived crime risk is lower than the actual crime occurrence to identify differences in housing needs satisfaction and to prioritize policy interventions. Additionally, the study examines differences in housing needs satisfaction and importance based on gender to inform policy priorities. By considering the stigma effect on regional housing needs and gender-specific deficiencies, this study provides significant policy implications.
