광감제가 코팅된 자성유체의 제조와 광역학 치료용 장치의 구성 (Preparation of Photosensitizer-Coated Ferrofluids and Fabrication of a Device for Photodynamic Therapy)

  • For the purpose of annihilating tumor in body, hematoporphyrin as a photosensitizer was coated onto magnetic particles of $Fe_3O_4$ prepared by coprecipitation which could be concentrated around the tumor by magnetic field. The photosensitizer was applied differently before, during and after adsorbing the 1st surfactant on the particles. Its added amount was $5{\times}10^{-4}/mol$, and the coating reaction proceeded at temperatures of 60, 70 and 8$0^{\circ}C$. The amounts of photosensitizer coated on the magnetic particles were obtained by calculating an optical density with the maximum UV spectrum. As a result of the UV analysis, the coating amount of photosensitizer increased with higher reaction temperatures. When applied at 8$0^{\circ}C$ after adsorbing the 1st surfactant, the photosensitizer was coated with a maximum value of $3.8{\times}10^{-3}/mo1/$\ell$$. The TGA analysis revealed that the ferrofluids included the particles of 30.115 g/$\ell$. It was suggested that the magnetite particles was coated with photosensitizer of $1.26{\times}10^{-4}/mo1/g$. A small-sized device for magnetic field and light emission was designed, in which LED sheets coverts the permanent magnet of Nd-Fe-B. The LED sheet was connected in series circuit and also protected with a silicon tube. The power was supplied with rechargable battery of 9V and 100-120mA.

복합 전기방사법을 이용한 Fe-doped TiO2/α-Fe2O3 이중구조 나노와이어의 합성 및 자성 특성 (Synthesis of Fe-Doped TiO2/α-Fe2O3 Core-Shell Nanowires Using Co-Electrospinning and Their Magnetic Property)

  • We synthesized Fe-doped $TiO_2/{\alpha}-Fe_2O_3$ core-shell nanowires(NWs) by means of a co-electrospinning method and demonstrated their magnetic properties. To investigate the structural, morphological, chemical, and magnetic properties of the samples, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were used, as was a vibrating sample magnetometer. The morphology of the nanostructures obtained after calcination at $500^{\circ}C$ exhibited core/shell NWs consisting of $TiO_2$ in the core region and ${\alpha}-Fe_2O_3$ in the shell region. In addition, the XPS results confirmed the formation of Fe-doped $TiO_2$ by the doping effect of $Fe^{3+}$ ions into the $TiO_2$ lattice, which can affect the ferromagnetic properties in the core region. For comparison, pure ${\alpha}-Fe_2O_3$ NWs were also fabricated using an electrospinning method. With regard to the magnetic properties, the Fe-doped $TiO_2/{\alpha}-Fe_2O_3$ core-shell NWs exhibited improved saturation magnetization(Ms) of approximately ~2.96 emu/g, which is approximately 6.1 times larger than that of pure ${\alpha}-Fe_2O_3$ NWs. The performance enhancement can be explained by three main mechanisms: the doping effect of Fe ions into the $TiO_2$ lattice, the size effect of the $Fe_2O3_$ nanoparticles, and the structural effect of the core-shell nanostructures.

고주파 자기장을 이용한 온열요법 치료용의 젤리형 고분자 모의인체 (Development of Polymeric Human Jelly Phantom for Hyper-Thermic Therapy by High Frequency Magnetic Field)

  • 암 치료의 보조요법의 하나로 제시될 수 있는 전자파를 이용한 온열치료법의 기초연구를 수행하였다. 폴리에틸렌, 탈이온수, 그리고 염화나트륨 등으로 구성되는 젤리형의 인체 뇌 팬텀을 제작하고 이들 팬텀 재료의 다양한 구성비에 따른 팬텀의 전기적 특성을 유전율상수와 전도도를 측정하여 평가하였다. 그 결과, 염화나트륨의 양이 증가함에 따라 팬텀의 도전율이 증가하는 것을 제외하고는 팬텀 재조에 사용한 재료의 함량이 증가할수록 팬텀의 전기적 특성 값들은 대체로 감소함을 확인하였다. 또한 시간 경과에 따른 무게비로 측정한 팬텀의 장기안정성은 6개월이 경과한 시점까지도 양호하게 유지됨을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 향후 각종 인체장기에 대응하는 자성유체가 혼입된 젤리팬텀의 전자기적 특성과 온도 상승을 관찰함으로써 암 치료에 있어서의 새로운 방법론을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

연자성 복합체 후막용 슬러리 제조공정의 최적화 (Optimization of Slurry Preparation Process for Soft Magnetic Green Sheet)

  • With high integration of electronic components, power inductors are also miniaturized. Recently, thick film processes for small size power inductors were developed and commercialized. However, the thick film process to prepare soft magnetic green sheets was not reported enough. In this study, we used Fe-Si magnetic and CIP (carbonyl iron powders) as starting materials to lead to a bimodal particle size distribution in the sheet. We proposed a newly developed 'Modified slurry preparation process' to get well dispersed condition even at high solid contents. Using the new process, it was possible to prepare a well dispersed slurry over 70 vol% of solid. BYK-103 was better than BYK-111 as dispersant in this slurry and the optimum amount was 0.6 wt%. The optimized slurry was formed into a sheet by tape casting process and then the sheet was laminated. We conformed that small size powder, large size powder, and epoxy resin were well dispersed in the green sheet.

YIG ($Y_3$$Fe_5$O_{12}$)의 미세구조 및 자성 특성에 대한 $SrTiO_3$첨가 영향 (The Effects of $SrTiO_3$ Addition on the Microstructure and Magnetic Properties of YIG)

  • SrTiO$_3$첨가량 및 소결온도에 따른 YIG 소결체의 미세구조 및 자기적 특성변화에 대하여 조사하였다. 소량의 SrTiO$_3$소결재를 첨가한 결과 소결체의 격자상수는 약간 증가하였으며, 이는 소결시 $Y^{+3}$, Fe$^{+3}$이온이 이온반경이 상대적으로 큰 Sr$^{+2}$, Ti$^{+4}$이온으로 치환되었기 때문인 것으로 추정된다. SrTiO$_3$소결재를 0.2mo1% 첨가하고, 142$0^{\circ}C$에서 소결한 소결체의 밀도는 이론밀도의 98%이상의 치밀화를 얻을 수 있었다. 상온에서의 포화자화값(M$_s$)은 SrTiO$_3$소결재의 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 약간 감소하였으나 큰 변화는 없었다. 더욱이 온도에 따른 보자력 (H$_c$)의 변화는 없었다.

Ba-페라이트/$SiO_2$ 자성박막에서 ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ buffer 층의 역할 (Role of ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ buffer layer in $Ba-ferrite/SiO$ magnetic thin films)

  • We have studied the interfacial diffusion phenomena and the role of ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ buffer layer as a diffusion barrier in the $Ba-ferrite/SiO_2$ magnetic thin films for high-density recording media. In the interface of amorphous Ba-ferrite ($1900-{\AA}-thick)/SiO_2$ thin film during annealing, the interfacial diffusion started to occur at ${\sim}700^{\circ}C$. As the annealing temperature increased up to $800^{\circ}C$, the interfacial diffusion abruptly proceeded resulting in the high interface roughness and the deterioration of the magnetic properties. In order to control the interfacial diffusion at the high temperature, we introduced ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ buffer layer ($110-{\AA}-thick$) in the interface of $Ba-ferrite/SiO_2$ thin film. During the annealing of $Ba-ferrite/{\alpha}-Al_2O_3/SiO_2$ thin film even at ${\sim}800^{\circ}C$, the interface was very smooth. The smooth interface of the film was also clearly shown by the cross-sectional FESEM. The magnetic properties, such as saturation magnetization 3nd intrinsic coercivity, were also enhanced, due to the inhibition of interfacial diffusion by the ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ buffer layer. Our study suggests that the ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ buffer layer act as a useful interfacial diffusion barrier in the $Ba-ferrite/SiO_2$ thin films.

반자성 물질에 의한 전자기차단효과에 관한 연구 (A study on the electrostatic and magnetic flux cut off effect using anti-magnetic material)

  • 비스무스는 융점이 낮아 취급이 용이하여 반자성체로서 전자기 차폐에 어떤 영향이 있는지 실험하기 쉽다. 그러나 실제 실험 재료를 원통으로 제작하여 측정된 경우를 찾아 볼 수 없다. 순수 비스무스는 반자성체로서 전자기 차폐에 어떤 영향이 있는가를 알기 위해서 비스무스를 다른 재료와 비교하기 위해서 원통으로 제조하였고 구리, 알루미늄, 철, 스텐레스 스틸도 원통을 만들어 정전차폐와 자기차폐를 저주파대에서 주파수 별로 측정하여 비교하였다. 그 결과 도표와 같이 구리와 비스무스 이중차폐가정전기에서는 제일 좋은 수치가 나왔다. 자기차폐에서는 철은 역시 가장 좋은 수치가 나왔고 비스무스는 별영향이 없이 나왔다.

  • CoFeNi 합금은 HDD, MEMS 분야에서 head core 재료로 쓰이는 permalloy(FeNi)합금보다 뛰어난 우수한 자기적 특성을 가진 재료로써 최근 많이 연구되어지고 있다. 전기도금된 CoFeNi합금 박막의 열처리에 따른 미세구조 변화와 결정학적 특성이 자기특성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 삼원계 합금을 열처리하면 전기도금 시 결정의 크기와 결정구조의 변화가 자기특성에 영향을 미친다. 이를 조사하여 열처리를 통하여 얻어지는 CoFeNi계 박막의 자기 특성을 향상시키고자 하였고, $300{\sim}400^{\circ}C$까지 열처리를 함으로써 보자력을 최소화하고 포화자화 값을 증가시켰다. 포화자화 값의 증가는 bcc상의 생성으로 야기되는 것으로 판단된다.

연자성 금속 분말의 분산에 분산제와 실란이 미치는 영향 (Effect of Dispersant and Silane on Dispersion of Magnetic Powder Paste)

  • Various process technologies for manufacturing power inductors are under development. The core goal is to increase the mixing ratio of the soft magnetic powder in the epoxy, and to uniformly disperse it in a molding-type power inductor, manufactured by the injection molding method. In this study, we investigated the effect of dispersant and silane on the dispersion of soft magnetic metal powders in epoxy. We added 0.6 wt% of dispersant and 2.0 wt% of silane, and an excellent dispersibility resulted. Under the conditions of 0.3 wt% of dispersant and 0.5 wt% of silane, we added both dispersant and silane together to observe the effect of their interaction on dispersibility. Similarly, the addition of 0.3 wt% of dispersant and 0.1 wt% of silane resulted in a sharp increase in viscosity, considered to be due to the interaction of the dispersant and silane. The addition of 0.1 wt% of dispersant with 0.5 wt% of silane resulted in a sharp rise in viscosity, and sedimentation-height decreased sharply due to the dispersion optimization.

스퍼터링 중 외부자기장이 자성박막의 자기적 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of an External Magnetic Field on the Magnetic Properties of Sputtered Magnetic Thin Films)

  • A magnetic device which enables the application of a strong and uniform magnetic field to thin film during sputtering was designed for controlling the magnetic anisotropy using a three dimensional finite element method, and the effects of the external magnetic field on the magnetic properties of sputtered thin films were investigated. Both the intensity and the uniformity of the magnetic flux density in the sputter zone (50 mm ${\times}$50 mm) was dependent on not only the shape and size of the magnet device but also the magnitude of stray fields from the magnet. For the magnet device in which the distance between two magnets or two pure iron bars was 80-90 mm, the magnetic flux density along the direction normal to the external magnetic field direction was minimum. The two row magnets increased the magnetic flux density and uniformity along the external magnetic field direction. An Fe thin film sputtered using the optimized magnet device showed a higher remanence ratio than that fabricated under no external magnetic field.
