Domestic coffee franchise market in South Korea has been rapidly growing along with developing the global coffee franchises as well as entering domestic franchise companies into the beverage market. Competitions in the markets are getting more accelerated and local franchises and owner-operated coffee shops are losing their market shares gradually as a result. Local franchises and owner-operated coffee shops in Daegu, however, are notable in that they are maintaining the competitiveness in the markets. This is a unique phenomenon, which deserves to be analyzed to identify the successful attributes as a case study. Important Performance Analysis (IPA) method has been employed for analyzing and its gap(i.e., difference between importance and performance) analysis shows that the price and quantity of coffee are the most important differentiating attributes of local and owner-operated coffee franchises in Daegu.

연구는 앞으로의 자생력을 위해 무엇보다도 요구되는 것이지만 결과가 바로 보이지 않기에 그만큼 소홀하기 쉬운 부분이기도 하다. 현재 대학에서는 내적 이유이든 외적 이유이든 연구에 대한 개념이 부족한 것이 현실이다. 또한 재정면에서, 인력면에서 연구를 위해 연구소가 활성화돼야 한다는 것은 명약관화한 사실이다. 이에 착 치대 연구소의 현황을 살펴보고 문제점과 발전방향에 대해 알아본다.

Objectives: This study investigated the efficacy of Korean medical treatment for a headache (suspected CPSP) patient with a history of cerebral infarction. Methods: We treated the patient using Korean medical treatments (herbal medicines-Kamiseokyong-tang, acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, and chuna). The treatments were measured using the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) and the Neck Disability Index (NDI) for headache and post neck pain. General health status was evaluated using the European Quality of Life Five Dimensions (EQ-5d) Scale. Results: We observed improvements in the NRS, NDI, and EQ-5d scores after the treatments. Conclusions: This study suggests that Korean medicine may effectively treat headaches (suspected CPSP) with accompanying cerebral infarction.

Korean native plants and naturalized plants were analyzed for allelochemicals, and their antimicrobial effects were studied. The difference in soluble solid contents between Korean native plants and naturalized species was not significant, and the Korean native plant, Solanum nigrum showed the highest soluble solid content of 90 mg/ml. The ethanol extract of the Korean native plant, Solanum nigrum showed antifungal activity to Aspergillus phoenicis KCTC 1228, with a clear zone of 18 mm, and spore formation was not observed from the treatment. The naturalized plants Ambrosia artemisiifolia var. elatior and Erigeron canadensis showed inhibition of spore formation and the clear zones were at 24 mm and 22 mm, respectively. The clear zones of Aspergillus phoenicis KCTC 1228 treated with ethanol extrats of Phytolacca americana and Rudbeckia bicolor were 22 mm and 19 mm, respectively, and spore formation was observed from the treatment. The Korean native plant, Solanum nigrum and naturalized plants, Phytolacca americana and Ambrosia artemisiifolia var. elatior showed antimicrobial activity against Bacillus sphiaericus 2362, and Bacillus sphiaericus 2297, Bacillus thuringiensis var. subtilis and Baicillus thuringiensis var. cereus. The antimicrobial activity of Ambrosia artemisiifolia var. elatior showed the largest clear zone of 32 mm against Bacillus thuringiensis var. subtilis. In general, the more soluble the solid contents of the extracts, the greater were the antifungal and antimicrobial activities. The phenolic compounds from the Korean native plant, Solanum nigrum and the naturalized species, Phytolacca americana and Ambrosia artemisiifolia var. elatior were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography. Three phenolic compounds including hydroquinone were identified in Solanum nigrum. In contrast, five and seven phenolic compounds were identified in Phytolacca americana and Ambrosia artemisiifolia var. elatior, respectively. The antifungal activity against Aspergillus phoenicis KCTC 1228 was found to be due to the coumaric and benzoic compounds.

1990년 중반 이후 외국계 기업과 국내 대기업의 적극적인 유통산업진출은 중소 소매업을 어렵게 하고 있다. 또한 대기업 편의점의 급속한 확장 역시 골목상권 환경을 열악하게 하여, 중소 소매업 점포수의 폐점을 가속화하고 있다. 2003년 중소 소매업의 경쟁력 강화 및 자생력을 확보하고자 정부는 중소유통공동도매물류센터(이하, 중소유통물류센터)를 건립하였다. 하지만 급변하는 유통환경과 온라인 쇼핑의 급속한 발전 속에서 중소유통물류센터는 갈수록 점점 어려워지는 현상에서 중소유통물류센터의 역량강화를 위한 현상분석 및 문제점 도출을 통하여 경쟁력 강화 및 효율적 운영방안을 위한 전략을 제시하고자 한다.

Management condition of small business is very poor owing to entry barriers and excessive competition. Of course, it is believed that differences in competitiveness and result arise from characteristics of a businessman. Therefore, this study intends to grasp relationships between businessman's characteristics and management result of small business and to investigate moderating effects of trust in social capital on the management result. Through this, it mainly aims to draw implications to secure self-regenerating power of small business which faces various difficulties now. Research result is as follows: First, it was found that management result was influenced by the order of achievement need, risk-taking propensity and intuition among businessmen's characteristics. It seems to well reflect businessman's characteristics of the tendency to rely on his own intuition through confidence and an optimistic view. Second, there were moderating effects on confidence between achievement need and management result. Third, as implications to secure self-regenerating power of small business based on above contents, this study asserted to prepare various political measures in order to encourage achievement need of small business and then, to raise survival rates of small businessmen who face serious social problems today.

자연계의 모든 생물은 대체로 천적이 있다. 생물은 언제나 많은 천적으로 둘러싸여 있으며 이로 인해 자연의 평형이 이루어지고 있다. 그런데 이런 천적관계는 비단 생물에 있어서만 적용되는 게 아니다. 자판기 분야도 그 외부환경 요인이라든가 경쟁 대상 품목 등에 있어 천적의 관계를 형성하고 있는 경우가 많다. 필수 불가결한 품목특성을 갖지 못하는 자판기 특성상 유난히 이러한 천적의 연결고리를 많이 찾아 볼 수 있다. 금호 기획취재에는 자판기의 천적 관계를 조명해 보는 시간을 마련했다. 이 천적관계도 산업의 발전을 막는 나쁜 면으로서 만이 아닌 싫든 좋든 공존 공생해야 하는 동반자적 관계이다. 이러한 측면에서 천적관계 조명을 통해 보다 자판기 산업의 자생력을 강화할 수 있는 계기를 만들고자 함이 본란의 기획취지이다.
