지난해에는 문화관광부의 '도서관정보화추진계획' 발표, '학교도서관살리기국민연대'의 결성, '문화개혁을 위한시민연대'의 도서관 자료구입비 증액 캠페인, 남ㆍ북도서관협회 대표단의 역사적인 회합 등 도서관발전을 위한 각계 각층의 관심이 활발했던 한 해 였다. 하지만 '저작권법시행령' 개정공표로 도서관에서의 복제전송 문제가 불거지고 '도서관및독서진흥법'의 개정으로 '도서관및독서진흥위원회'와 '도서관및독서진흥기금'이 폐지되어 도서관계를 안타깝게 하기도 하였다. 그 어느때보다도 도서관의 사회적 역할이 증대되고 있는 지금, 우리 도서관계 각 단체의 올 한해 각오와 사업방향 등을 알아보았다. 편집자 주

지난해에는 문화관광부의 '도서관정보화추진계획'에 따른 전국 공공도서관과 학교도서관의 디지털자료실 설치, 공공도서관 자료구입비 증액 지원, 3개 도교육청의 사서교사 채용 시험 실시, 각 종 언론과 방송에서의 독서 프로그램 편성 확대 등 도서관 발전을 위한 각계 각층의 관심이 활발한 한 해였다. 하지만 여전히 진행되고 있는 도서관 명칭변경, 민간위탁의 문제와 날로 심화되어 가고 있는 사서직 고용불안정 현상 등은 우리 도서관계가 올 한 해도 피할 수 없는 숙제로 남아 있다. 바야흐로 21세기가 본 궤도에 오른 2002년 새해를 맞아, 그 어느 때보다도 도서관의 사회적 역할이 증대되고 있는 지금, 우리 도서관계 각 단체의 올 한해 각오와 사업방향 등을 알아보았다.

These studies were carried out to obtain the materials for the establish ment of marketing standard of eggs. The data for these studies were collected from 8 collection traders, 16 whole sale traders, 12 retail stores and 6 supermarkets located at the suburbs of Seoul, Daejon, Kwangju and Busan. The weight grading of eggs was operated by egg producers and the price differences were 2-3 won by marketing channels. Most jumbo and extra-large eggs were sold for table e99s, large eggs were sold for restaurant and table eggs and medium and small eggs were sold for restaurants. Egg consumers prefer the brown shell eggs to white shell eggs in spite of higher prices by 1.5 won and most consumers trusted the egg gradings. The purchasing unit of eggs at retail store was 30 eggs, and consumers wanted 10 eggs packing. The average packing cost per 10 eggs was 10-20 won and 55-64% of consumers hoped packed eggs and most of eggs were sold within 7 days after they arrived at retail stores.

This study was to analyze consumer confidence, satisfaction and repurchase intention after categorizing food-related lifestyle among 488 consumers who had experience purchasing convenience store lunch boxes. The data were analyzed with PASW 18.0 using frequency analysis, k-means cluster analysis, crosstabs analysis and one-way ANOVA. According to findings, first of all, types of food-related lifestyle are divided into 4 groups: a type of eating out(11.7%), a type of convenience seeking(18.3%), a type of food indifference(15%), a type of dietary interest(55%). Secondly, the types of food-related lifestyle showed statistically significant difference gender, age, marital status, education, monthly average household income, monthly average allowance, job, monthly average number of lunch box buying, lunch box purchase time zone and average one cost of lunch box buying of socio-economic variables. Thirdly, convenience seeking and dietary interest type showed the highest in consumer confidence and dietary interest type showed the highest level of satisfaction and repurchase intention.

For exhibition, conducted conservation treatment for a variety of collections acquired at home and abroad such as metallic objects, wooden-ware, paintings and lacquer-ware. Conservation treatment methods for 42 metallic objects were introduced for material types. X-ray and microscopic method were used to identify the current state of the collections and in some case if necessary, various foreign particle removing and stabilization method were used depending on material type. Historical data were stored and exhibited to public.

The author explored the survival and prosperity strategies for Korean public libraries in the age of information technology. She reviewed that public libraries can perform these strategies or not. On the basis of the review, she identified 5 problems of public libraries : shortage of libraries and collections, staff inefficiency, inadequate services, inefficient design of library facilities. And then she proposed solutions to improve the present state of public libraries in Korea ; campaigning for constructing libraries, increasing the materials budget, turning nonprofessional work to professional work of staff, and constructing libraries for safety and preservation.

현재 국내 ITS는 현장장비 유지관리에 대한 연구 및 고장관련 DB가 부족하여 예비부품수 및 교체시기 산정에 대한 규정이 없는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 실제 고장이력자료를 갖고 신뢰성 분석을 실시하여 단거리전용통신(DSRC)방식 노변기지국(RSE)의 예비부품수 및 교체시기를 산정하였다. 전체 수집기간동안의 고장자료는 욕조곡선의 형상을 나타내어 우발고장기간의 자료로 신뢰성 분석을 실시하였으나 고장 수명 분포 중 적합되는 분포가 없었다. 따라서, i)장비가동률과 ii)경험적(empirical) 누적분포함수(CDF) 곡선을 이용한 장비의 고장률(건/일)을 감안하여 예비부품수를 산정한 결과 16.22개 이상의 노변기지국(완제품)을 확보하여야 하는 것으로 분석되었다. 하자보수기간(2년)이 지난후 일정기간($2{\sim}3$년)이 지난 시점에서 향후 10년간에 대하여 수리하면서 사용하는 경우와 신품구입시의 총비용을 비교하여 산정한 교체시기는 10.67건/40개월 이상이다. 본 연구 수행결과 첫째, 비모수적 방법으로 적합도 검정을 실시하지 못하였다는 한계와, 둘째, 초기에 고장이 많이 발생하는 장비는 향후에도 고장이 많이 발생한다는 가정에 기반하여 향후 10년의 운영비용을 분석하였으나 이러한 가정을 입증하지는 못하였다. 따라서, 향후엔 본 연구에 사용된 자료가 고장 수명분포도 적합 되지 않은 원인을 분석하는 것과 분석대상 기간 이후의 자료를 추가하여 적합도 검정 및 신뢰성 분석을 실시하는 것이 필요하다.

This study is to set up a formula of the staff size for university libraries in Korea. The methodology of this study applied the multiple regression analysis and the component ratio of professional staff versus nonprofessional staff. The results of this study are swrunarized as follows: (1) Number of librarians = 3.016 + 0.0l6xholdings(unit : 1000 vols) - 0.008volumesadded(unit : 100 vols) + 0.031 x graduate enrollments(unit : 10 persons) + 0.069 x undergraduate enrollments(unit : 100 persons) + 0.043 x library materials expenditure(unite: 10 million won). (2) Number of library staff = 4.638 + 0.024 x holdings(unit : 1000 vols) - 0.012 x volumes added(unit: 100 vols) + 0.017 x graduate enrollments(unit : 10 persons) + 0.106 x undergraduate enrollments(unit : 100 persons)+0.066xlibrary materials expenditure(unit : 10 million won).

The purpose of this study is to present a plan to design and utilize effectively useful software program in dealing with Teaching Materials and Tools Management in all infant education institute. This program is called Teaching Materials and Tools Management and it is based on the national kindergarten Curriculum notified by ministry of education. To achieve this goal, all teaching materials should be kept to classify and use easily regardless of their shape, kind, and maker(manufacturer). Teaching materials and tools once used in class should be kept after being repaired, And if it is difficult to repair them, write down detail information about them for any teacher to repair them easily. Teaching materials and tools should classified efficiently after being used and registered to recognize their information at first glance. Teaching materials and tools should be registered with an index to manage curriculum effectively when establishing a year plan.

This study aims to increase understanding of current status and changes of academic libraries in South Korea in comparison with those of academic libraries in North America and United Kingdom (UK). The five-year statistics of academic libraries were collected from Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS), Association of Research Libraries (ARL), and Society of College, National and University Libraries (SCONUL), and the authors compared the statistical indicators that are comparable to each other. The circumstance and performance of academic libraries in North America were much better than those of South Korea. In addition, the area of library buildings in South Korea was larger than those in UK, and they also had more books and carrels than UK libraries; however, UK libraries had more library staffs, expenditure on material purchase, and interlibrary loan requests. These findings imply that there should be more support on academic libraries in South Korea to increase library staffs and budget, which will invigorate library services and use.
