A Study on the Relationship between Construction of EDI system and Organizational Performance (전자자료교환시스템의 구축과 조직의 성과와의 관계에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigated a special class or Electronic Data Interchange(EDI) system. While it has been predicted that the use of EDI will have a significant impact on the competitive advantage of organization. very little is known about the successful construction of such system. A few studies done in this area have relied on anecdotal data on data based on a small number of case studies. The major objectives of the research are to identify the factors that facilitate the adoption and successful construction of an EDI system, and to evaluate the impact of the EDI system on competitive advantage of the organization. Based on the EDI literature. organizational performance is modeled to be affected by three independent variables: EDI system. communication. trust. The level of EDI system was used as control variable. The data used to test the model were collected in a mail survey from department store in Korea. The results indicate that organizational performance is affected by EDI system, communication. The paper concludes with a discussion of future directions for research in the area of test EDI models.

An Analytical Study on Research Trends of Resource Organization in Korea : 1970~2010 (한국의 자료조직 분야 연구동향 분석 : 1970~2010)

  • This study is to represent the research trends of the resource organization in Korea through the analysis of 607 papers related with resource organization in 4,015 papers on journals of 6 library & information science societies from 1970 through 2010. The results of this study are as follows. The average yearly papers in the case of academic journals published 14.8 pieces. The year published the largest number of papers: 2005 and 2009. The order of the number of papers by the domain of resource organization: cataloging, classification, indexing and abstracting, metadata, subject analysis. And the research on basic principle or theory in the resource organization showed insufficient. The research on KDC classification, cataloging rule, metadata element has are usually presented for improvements. But most of the research is not empirical analysis or objective assessment but subjective judgments of the researchers.

A Study on the Intellectual Foundation of Cataloging Research in Korea (한국 자료조직 연구의 지적 토대에 관한 고찰)

  • This study intends to make a comprehensive inquiry about the intellectual foundation of cataloging research in Korea. Emphasis was on analyzing how both Pertinent and indigenous the Korean cataloging theory and practice have been developed to the Korean bibliographic environments. To the end, this study collected and examined exhaustively the research articles produced from the early 1950's to the Present In Korea. These articles are divided and reviewed into four periods: the period of (1) beginning research activities, (2) compiling the Korean cataloging tools, (3) applying cataloging automation, (4) introducing metadata. The focus was on investigating their intrinsic values and philosophies about information organization.

A New Direction in Korea's LIS Education: Focused on the Field of Information Organization (한국의 자료조직 교육에 대한 진단과 방향 모색)

  • This study intends to discuss Korea's LIS education focused on the field of 'information organization' in detail. Emphasis was on analyzing the current curriculum in Korea's LIS school and on discussing facing problems and new directions in the education of the field. To the end, this study collected and examined exhaustively the course contents and instruction of the related courses in 32 Korea's LIS schools, and the research papers related to LIS education, especially information organization's education. In addition, American LIS education was analyzed to compare with Korea's. In conclusion, this study suggested that the LIS school education should emerged from excessive emphasis on practical skills and concentrate on the philosophy, principles and the implicit values of information organization.

  • 최근 EDI, EC, CALS 등과 같은 조직간 정보시스템을 가반으로 한 전자적 파트너십에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있다. 조직간 정보시스템의 도입은 거래비용절감뿐만 아니라 거래 파트너와의 관계 개선 및 협력 증진을 목적으로 한다. 조직간 정보시스템의 한 유형인 전자자료교환의 도입과 성과에 대한 사례연구 및 실증연구들은 활발하게 진행되고 있으나 조직간 정보시스템이 조직간 관계 변화에 미치는 영향을 실증한 연구는 찾아보기 힘들다. 본 연구에서는 문헌고찰을 통해 이 주제에 대한 연구모형과 가설을 도출하였다. 향후에 모형을 더욱 정치화 시켜 경험적 자료를 토대로 검증하고자한다.

사회적책임이 조직신뢰, 조직몰입, 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향: 강원도기업을 중심으로

  • 2000년대 이후 기업의 경제적 이익을 위한 본연의 성과를 성취하기 위해서는 영리적 이익추구 이외에도 기업 내외부의 관여된 활동 범주 내에서 투자자, 소비자, 시민단체 그리고 노동조합등에 사회적책임(Corporate Social Responsibility:CSR)의 중요성이 점차 커져가고 있다. 이 중 사회적책임과 조직 내 구성원들의 조직유효성의 영향에 대한 다양한 선행논문이 있었으나, 지역으로 세분화하여 분석한 연구가 상대적으로 미비하였다. 이에 따라 강원도를 한정한 사회적책임이 조직신뢰, 조직몰입, 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 강원도 소재 기업들의 사회적책임에 대한 기반적 자료로써 활용될 것으로 여겨진다. 이를 확인하기 위해 본 연구는 강원도 소재 기업에 종사하는 구성원들을 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 총 186부의 표본을 활용하였다. 검증결과 사회적책임이 조직신뢰, 조직몰입이 긍정적인 영향을 미치나 조직시민행동에 부분적으로 채택되었으며, 조직신뢰는 조직시민행동에 긍정적 영향을 미치고 조직몰입은 조직시민행동에 부분적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 연구되었다. 본 연구는 선행논문에서 밝힌 사회적책임이 조직신뢰, 조직몰입, 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향에 대해서 지역을 한정해서 연구했으며, 분석결과 강원도 지역 내 사회적경제기업들이 다수 포진되어 있으며, 공동체성이 높기 때문에 사회적책임이 조직 유효성과 조직시민행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

A Study on the Management of Genealogical Materials (계보자료의 관리에 관한 연구)

  • Libraries which have a large amount of genealogical materials need to manage them in a special way differing from the other materials. Although genealogy related materials have high pragmatic value, the reality is that the acquiring methods are limited to collect the genealogical table or is not systematic. Even the genealogical materials held in the library are not rationally organized. Under such circumstances, this study investigates the cases of the management of genealogical materials both in domestic and foreign institutions, and also examines the real situations of material organization such as the collection, the classification and the cataloging on the centering of the libraries which hold a large amount of genealogical materials. On the basis of this investigation, the study aims to measure the enhancement of the methods for collecting and organizing genealogical materials which enable the collection management and information retrieval fur them to be efficient and effective.

  • The purpose of this study was to clarify similarity and identity between university library and archives through comparison of their information materials, functions and organizations. As a results, the archives are so much similar to library in the records, functions. It means what they can use the library resources together. The archives organizations mainly belongs to museum and rarely to libraries and administration organizations.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of job stress on organizational effectiveness and the moderating role of organizational commitment among social workers. For this study, date were collected from 236 social workers employed at social welfare institutions in the Metropolitan area with structured questionnaires and analyzed using hierarchical regression analysis technique. This study found that three job stress variables(role ambiguity, role conflict and workload) had negative effects on social workers' job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior, whereas they positively impacted on their intent to stay, and that organizational commitment buffered the deleterious effects on job stress on organizational effectiveness.
