Recently, IALA has introduced AIS AtoN and standardized Aids to Navigation communication system and the World-wide IALA-Net has announced plans to build the system. Systematic beacon network may offer opportunities to make infrastructure for information service and upgrade AtoN service performance. This paper proposes Aids to Navigation information service network for e-NAV. Network based on AIS is consist of AIS AtoN channels as Real, Synthetic or Virtual AIS AtoN. And inner network is consist of Wireless networks as AIS, WCDMA, WIFI, WlBRO, USN or VSAT. Introducing of various network systems can lead to combine and design among land, beacon and service network infrastructures.

In order to develop an application software for context-awareness techniques, we should program both all decisions on variable con-text-awareness and appropriate process with some program languages. These cause a loss of software production and unlimited repetition of program code. In this paper, we implement a context script language and language processor which can simplify a series of involved process acquired for context-awareness and describe them clearly. In addition, it can represent a definitions of context as standard syntax as well as accomplish them automatically. The proposed context script language provides functionality which can not only define efficiently a given context but also describe a variety of context with general purpose. Aiso, for the usefulness of the language processor, we build an application system which can provide music play service based on context-awareness.

The evolution of input device for computer has pretty much slowed down after the introduction of mouse as feinting input device. Even though stylus and touch screen were invented later on which provide some alternatives, all these methods were designed to have close range interaction with computer. There are not many options available for user to interact with computer from afar, which is especially needed during presentation. Therefore, in this paper, we try to fill the gap by proposing a laser pointer interaction system to allow user to give pointing input command to the computer from some distance away using only laser pointer, which is cheap and readily available. With the combination of image processing based software, we could provide mouse-like pointing interaction with computer. The proposed system works well not only in currently plane screen, but also in flexible screen by incorporating the feature of non-linear coordinate mapping algorithm in our system so that our system can support non-linear environment, such as curved and flexible wall.

X-ray device used in the diagnosis has made possible to have more effective and accurate diagnosis, powered by the development of various devices. Based on this, X-ray device has become the most basic and essential diagnostic equipment in clinical medicine. At present, in the image acquisition field using X-ray, the use of Digital radiography which is useful in the acquisition time reduction and transfer of images and is possible to have the dose reduction has expanded. With the structure using one detector, this DR device has disadvantages in that it needs structural changes unlike existing X-ray and the detector should be moved to the desired position depending on the shooting location. Therefore, in this study, using BLDC(Brushless direct current) motor and PID(Proportional integral differential) control method, the automatic control system of 3-axis which is upward and downward, left and right and rotation of detector where having the most movement in DR was designed and produced and its performance was evaluated.

Recently, in the engineering area, there is an increasing need for researchers at a distance to share the result of the experiment, without having to visit the experiment facilities. Especially in the civil engineering, researchers feel the need for participating in a experiment conducted at a distant location. In addition, it is suggested that high-cost facilities should be used by remote researchers thereby increasing the utilization rate. This paper proposes a remote experiment environment in civil engineering that are being developed in a project called Korea Construction Engineering Development(KOCED), which connects major civil engineering experiment facilities using grid technology, allows researchers to participate in a remote experiment, and has the experiment results shared by remote researchers automatically. Then, based on the suggested environment, we designed a hybrid test facility that involves two physical experiment facility sites and one numerical simulation site that are geographically apart. Then, we implemented its prototype and ran some tests, which showed a possibility of grid-based civil engineering experiment.

Automatic landing performance of UAV can be enhanced by adding Pseudolite(PL) to GPS. However, it is very hard to install and operate PL with confidence because GPS satellites are moving and the landing zone are usually changeable. The coverage and accuracy of combined GPS and PL can be estimated by using simulator and the correct information is very crucial to UAV operation. In this paper, design, implementation and evaluation of GPS/PL simulator for UAV landing are given. A very realistic coverage estimation is obtained using GIS data and ray launching method with considerations of the transmitter power level, altitude of UAV, number and location of PL. The expected accuracy is estimated using DOP and NSP computed using both GPS and PL. The performance of simulator is evaluated by comparing with the results of a real GPS receiver, and the certified simulator shows the required accuracy for UAV landing can be easily met by proper installation of at least 2 PLs.

Recently, it is increasing the interest in previous web and web 2.0 which mean differentiation. The previous system is typical Static web based on client and server model, while web 2.0 mean next generation web which web change and evolve fundamentally. In this paper, I suggest that the module on RSS reader available under web 2.0 standards. A currently used RSS feed do correct the part distortion which can be possible resolve the encoding problem of Hanguel and third-world language. The suggested module is implemented using Ajax. I developed the module for the use of effective contents on web 2.0 through the DragBox module based on the programming on mobility of Ajax and the design and implementation of automatic update module of RSS feed.

For efficient and precise searches in the Web environment, resources should be coded in a structured way. HTML does not cover semantic structure because of its fixed tagging. XML, which has emerged as an alternative standard markuplanguage, uses custom tags that allow structural searching. Therefore, this study aims to compare XML with HTML in terms of their characteristics and retrieval functions. In order to test retrieval functions of XML- and HTML-based systems, we constructed an experimental XML-based system. The XML-based system has several advantages over the HTML system. However, some improvements are needed to make the XML system more comprehensive and effective. First, XML document search engines with user-friendly interfaces are needed. Second, popular Web browsers such as Explorer and Communicator need to support XML 1.0 specification completely. Third, Open DTD format, which will allow information retrieval systems to retrieve documents and compress them into one single format, is also needed to control Web documents more efficiently.

In optical scanning holography, 3-D holographic information of an object is generated by 2-D active optical scanning. The optical scanning beam can be a time-dependent Gaussian apodized Fresnel zone plate. In this technique, the holographic information manifests itself as an electrical signal which can be sent to an electron-beam-addressed spatial light modulator for coherent image reconstruction. This technique can be applied to 3-D optical remote sensing especially for identifying flying objects. In this paper, we first briefly review optical scanning holography and analyze the resolution achievable with the system. We then present mathematical expression of real and virtual image which are responsible for holographic image reconstruction by using Gaussian beam profile.

e-Portfolio in e-Learning environment is defined as the results which either teachers or learners systematically manage global contents related to their teaching and learning, respectively. When the e-Portfolio is applied to their work including teaching and learning, it is very useful for both teachers and learners to prepare their teaching plan, and to get the opportunity of their reflection by checking out their learning output, respectively. To generate e-Portfolios, there are two ways; one for collecting it directly from teachers and learners and another for collecting it automatically as a result of learning activities through e-learning system. In this paper, for efficient management of e-Portfolio, the data is layered, classified, restructured, and provided for users' purposes and various situations. Users can construct their own e-Portfolios by adding their own logic with their purposes in different situations.
