Development of Real-Time Face Region Recognition System for City-Security CCTV (도심방범용 CCTV를 위한 실시간 얼굴 영역 인식 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose the face region recognition system for City-Security CCTV(Closed Circuit Television) using hippocampal neural network which is modelling of human brain's hippocampus. This system is composed of feature extraction, learning and recognition part. The feature extraction part is constructed using PCA(Principal Component Analysis) and LDA(Linear Discriminants Analysis). In the learning part, it can label the features of the image-data which are inputted according to the order of hippocampal neuron structure to reaction-pattern according to the adjustment of a good impression in a dentate gyrus and remove the noise through the auto-associative memory in the CA3 region. In the CA1 region receiving the information of the CA3, it can make long-term memory learned by neuron. Experiments confirm the each recognition rate, that are shape change and light change. The experimental results show that we can compare a feature extraction and learning method proposed in this paper of any other methods, and we can confirm that the proposed method is superior to existing methods.

A Study on the Preference of Young Children for the Outward Appearance of a Teacher-aided Humanoid Robot (교사보조 인간형 로봇의 외형에 대한 만4세 유아 선호도 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is analyzing the preference of young children for the outward appearance of a teacher-aided humanoid robot. The subjects of this study were 180 kindergarten children who were 4 years old. Ninety five children among the subjects were male, and 85 children were female. The instrument used for this study consisted of 15 questions that involved 3 domains; figure, face, and practical use of robot. The major findings of the study were as follows: First, young children preferred a smooth and intimate robot, and one that had a similar size to them. Second, young children preferred a more characteristic face with big eyes. Third, young children preferred a robot which had a contoured body Fourth, young children preferred a robot which had two legs or tank wheels. Fifth, young children preferred a robot that could play with them and be manipulated by them.

A Study on Self-Expression Improvement of Children through Orff Activities (유아의 자기표현능력 증진을 위한 오르프 음악활동의 적용)

  • The objective of this study was to improve the self-expression of children through Orff activities. In this study, three (3) children from D day care center in Seoul who demonstrated withdrawn behaviors were chosen as research subjects, based on a self-expression test score of 50 points. The activities were conducted for 6 weeks, totaling fourteen (14) sessions, with each session being scheduled for forty (40) minutes. Across 14 sessions, the researcher conducted, analyzed and compared the self-expression scale of subjects, measured during the third and the last session. The researcher then qualitatively analyzed verbal and non-verbal self-expression behaviors of subjects by video recording the session. The analysis results shown by the study are as follows. First, the results of a quantitative analysis of the self-expression scale showed significant changes in self expression. Furthermore, the results of a qualitative analysis of verbal self-expression showed positive changes in self-perception and an increase in feelings of independence and activity than that of initial sessions.

  • 정신질환자들은 자기감정을 표현하는 능력의 결손을 보인다. 이러한 자기 감정표현기술은 정신질환자들을 위한 사회기술훈련 (Social Skill Training) 과정 중 하나로서 정상적인 사회생활로의 복귀를 위해 반드시 필요하다. 지금까지의 자기감정표현 훈련 및 평가 방법은 치료자 능력의 차이에 따른 주관적 판단이 개입될 수 있다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 가상현실 (Virtual Reality)은 컴퓨터를 이용한 최신의 방법으로, 최근 자폐증이나 공포증 등의 정신질환 분야에도 적용되고 있다. VR 을 사용하면 상호작용을 할 수 있고, 다양한 환경과 자극을 제시할 수 있으며, 3 차원 랜더링을 통해 몰입감을 제공할 수 있다. 또한 저장된 파라미터들을 바탕으로 객관적 판단을 할 수 있는 기준을 제시할 수 있으며, 안전하고 시간과 공간적 제약이 적은 환경 내에서 과제를 수행할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 자기감정표현기술의 객관적 평가를 위한 가상현실 시스템을 개발하고 정신분열증 환자와 정상인을 대상으로 실험을 진행하였다. 가상현실은 크게 긍정적 상황과 부정적 상황으로 이루어 지는데 집, 카페, 빵집, 길거리 등 다양한 환경에서 가족, 친구, 직장동료 등의 아바타가 실험 참가자에게 말을 건네고 참가자는 적절한 시기에 자신의 감정표현을 하도록 구성하였다. 실험을 하면서 정서 (긍정적 상황 Vs. 부정적 상황)에 따른 자기감정표현에 대한 파라미터로서 아바타가 말하는 동안 참가자가 아바타의 말에 주목을 하는 정도 (아바타가 말하는 동안 참가자가 아바타의 얼굴을 쳐다보는 시간)와 자기감정을 표현을 하는 시간 (아바타의 말이 끝난 후 감정표현을 시작하는 시간과 감정표현시간)과 상대방 아바타를 주목하는 정도 (참가자가 자기감정을 표현하는 중 아바타를 쳐다보는 시간) 등을 측정하였다. 측정결과 정상인이 정신분열병 환자에 비해 아바타를 주목하는 시간이나 자기감정표현을 하는 시간이 더 긴 경향이 있었다. 또한 부정적 상황에서 정신분열병 환자와 정상인 모두가 긍정적 상황에 비해 말하는 아바타에 더 잘 주목하였고, 자기감정을 표현하는 시간도 더 긴 것을 확인 하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서 도출된 파라미터는 실험 참가자의 자기감정표현의 정도를 객관적으로 나타낼 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. 또한 정신분열병 환자의 자기 감정표현능력을 측정하는 도구로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

A Study on the Transformational Christian Education for Young Adults: With a Focus on the Employment of Jung's Unconscious Confrontation and Loder's Transformational Theory (청년기의 기독교 변형화교육에 관한 연구: 융의 무의식 대면과 로더의 변형이론을 중심으로)

  • The important developmental tasks of young adults are based on encounter and identity. These problems of encounter and identity are also connected to the instinct of longing for the "face" of primary caregivers, who acknowledge and affirm themselves as their cherished children. James Loder emphasizes that human "face pursuit instinct" later reaches "formal-operational stage" and leads to religious yearning for God as "the Eternal Face." This pursuit of "face" and "the Eternal Face" is an existential and ontological move to find out "Who am I?" through meaningful encounters. Religious psychologist Carl Jung also points out that scientific thinking has contributed to the liberation of humans from superstitious beliefs. But this has also led to the loss of the precious value of human spirit and the sense of unity with nature. Jung emphasizes that "symbolic play" should help learners and counseler face-to-face with their unconscious mind. By doing so, learners can overcome the wounds and scars of unconsciousness and mature toward the true self. James Loder is a scholar who critically introduced Jung's "unconscientious confrontation" therapy to his educational theory. Beyond Jung's unconsciousness and "symbolic play," Loder proposed transformational education for the learners to participate in meaningful changes through interaction between human spirit and the Holy Spirit. With many young adults wandering around in their existential voids, it is clear that functional and socializational education cannot overcome their problems and developmental crisis. This developmental crisis requires a foundation of identity and intimacy in the encounter with God, the "Eternal Face." Therefore, this study suggests that when Jung's "unconscious confrontation" and Loder's "transformation logic" are employed, transformational Christian education for the healthy self-identity and intimacy of young adults can be accomplished. This inquiry presents not only theoretical reflection, but also the reactions of young adults and actual feedback obtained through implementing transformational Christian education for young adults. Through all of these endeavors, this inquiry was completed by proving that "Transformational Christian Education for Young Adults" is an educational theory that can yield actual results and abound fruits. The Effects of Body-Cathexis and Importance of Meeting the Ideal Body Image on Clothing Benefits Sought (신체만족도와 이상적인 신체상의 중요성이 의복추구혜택에 미치는 영향)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 신체만족도와 이상적인 신체상의 중요성이 의복추구혜택에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 것이다. 조사대상은 미국 여대생으로 177부의 설문지를 자료분석에 사용하였다. 신체만족도와 이상적인 신체상의 중요성은 신체 5부위(얼굴, 상체, 하체, 신장, 체중) 각각에 대해 측정되었고, 의복추구혜택은 패션 이미지, 체형결점보완, 여성스러움의 표현, 자기향상, 개성표현등의 5분야에 걸쳐 측정되었다. 결과로 신체 각 부위에 대한 이상적인 신체상의 중요성은 각각의 모든 의복추구혜택에 유의한 관계가 있는 반면 신체만족도의 경우 특정 부위에 대한 신체만족이 특정 의복추구혜택과 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 특정 부분의 신체에 만족하면 할수록 또한 이상적인 신체상이 중요하면 할수록 의복혜택을 통해 신체만족을 유지 또는 고양시키려는 소비자의 심리로 설명할 수 있다.

Anonymity of Medical Brain Images (의료 두뇌영상의 익명성)

  • The current defacing method for keeping an anonymity of brain images damages the integrity of a precise brain analysis due to over removal, although it maintains the patients' privacy. A novel method has been developed to create an anonymous face model while keeping the voxel values of an image exactly the same as that of the original one. The method contains two steps: construction of a mockup brain template from ten normalized brain images and a substitution of the mockup brain to the brain image. A level set segmentation algorithm is applied to segment a scalp-skull apart from the whole brain volume. The segmented mockup brain is coregistered and normalized to the subject brain image to create an anonymous face model. The validity of this modification is tested through comparing the intensity of voxels inside a brain area from the mockup brain with the original brain image. The result shows that the intensity of voxels inside from the mockup brain is same as ones from an original brain image, while its anonymity is guaranteed.

  • In this paper, we propose the face recognition system using HNMA(Hippocampal Neuron Modeling Algorithm) which can remodel the cerebral cortex and hippocampal neuron as a principle of a man's brain in engineering, then it can learn the feature-vector of the face images very fast and construct the optimized feature each image. The system is composed of two parts. One is feature-extraction and the other is teaming and recognition. In the feature extraction part, it can construct good-classified features applying PCA(Principal Component Analysis) and LDA(Linear Discriminants Analysis) in order. In the learning part, it cm table the features of the image data which are inputted according to the order of hippocampal neuron structure to reaction-pattern according to the adjustment of a good impression in the dentate gyrus region and remove the noise through the associate memory in the CA3 region. In the CA1 region receiving the information of the CA3, it can make long-term memory learned by neuron. Experiments confirm the each recognition rate, that are face changes, pose changes and low quality image. The experimental results show that we can compare a feature extraction and learning method proposed in this paper of any other methods, and we can confirm that the proposed method is superior to existing methods.

An Empirical Analysis of the Characteristics of Entertainers -The 2020 Mr. Trotting Finalists- (예능인에 관한 인상학적 특징 분석 -2020년 미스터트롯 결승진출자를 중심으로-)

  • This study analyzed the impressional characteristics and commonality of the seven people who reached the final final in the 2020 TV Chosun Mister Trot contest, which is the result of the success of the entertainer through the impression. The analysis criteria were set by referring to the classic Ma-uisangbeob and the academic papers on Impressionism, and the faces of seven subjects were collected from the Internet and media. The results of the analysis showed that the following common points were found: First, hair was developed on both sides of the forehead rather than the development of the forehead, which is suitable for arts and physical education rather than studying. Second, most of them had eyebrow bones [the brains of the brain] and cartilage inside their ears was protruding, which is a type of success through effort, deciding on their own life. Third, the mouth was large, the lips were straight, and the neck was thick. This also showed the temperament and talent of artistic ability. Fourth, it developed greatly in the corresponding part by age. In conclusion, while the inherently innate features of facial features cannot prove all that is fatalistic, the characteristic elements of certain talents were clearly manifested. And what they were able to gain and be loved in the entertainment industry was the result of their own efforts beyond it. These results have implications that can be used to determine their talents or career paths in simple aspects.

A Study on the Self-identity and Satisfaction through Avatar Expression Process (아바타 표현과정 속 자기동일시와 만족도에 관한 연구)

  • This study proposes an evaluation item model for the avatar expression process, satisfaction and self-identification for each expression element in order to investigate the expression attributes on the influence on the user in setting the avatar. The evaluation of avatar expression method was composed of self-identification and satisfaction by ease of expression and expression elements on the avatar production and expression process. To evaluate the proposed evaluation model, 17 people participated in the experiment. As a result, it was found that most of the participants had a high level of understanding of the production process, and the more diverse the expression elements, the higher the satisfaction with the avatar expression process. Hair shape and face shape were the most important expression factors, and clothes and overall harmony was the most concerned facotrs. Most of them tried to express themselves as realistically as possible. However, in self-identification, there was no significant correlation between expression and production process. In this study identify the decision-making factors that appear in the avatar expression process, the direction in which satisfaction can be formed, and the factors that affect self-identification. In addition, it will be a basic study on how avatars have a lasting influence on users in the future.
