This study is to investigate the dynamic relationship between international capital flows and won exchange rate to the major currency in Korea. As the results of Granger causality test, international capital flows Granger-cause currency rate volatility in the short term. However, over time, won exchange rate volatility Granger-cause international capital flows in Korea. According to the results by period divided based on 2008 financial crisis, international capital flows have the significant effects on won-dollar exchange rate volatility before 2008 crisis although currency rate volatility Granger-cause international capital flows after the crisis. As the results of impulse-response function of the basis of VAR, foreign exchange rate volatility has no connection with international capital flows before the crisis while it doesn't after. After the crisis, currency rate volatility has promoted international capital flows, while its influence diminishes as time passes. As these results, the uncertainty of foreign exchange market tend to influence the international capital flows rather than vice versa in Korea. Thus, it would be a more effective policy to control the uncertainty of market than the direct restrictions international capital flows.
The purpose of this study is to identify the satisfaction with medical services of the disabled elderly who have the highest need for medical services. For this purpose, the effect of health characteristics and medical service characteristics of the disabled elderly on medical service satisfaction was verified. The subjects of analysis were 3,323 persons with disabilities aged 65 or older who were taken from the national survey of people with disabilities in 2017. For statistical analysis, descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were performed using the SPSS 26.0 program. The results of the study showed as follows. As a result of the regression analysis, gender (β= -.045, p<.05) and residence status (β= -.048, p<.05) among the demographic characteristics as control variables had a statistically significant effect on the level of medical service satisfaction. Among the health characteristics, IADL (β=-.044, p<.05) had a statistically significant effect on medical service satisfaction level. In the case of medical service characteristics, satisfaction with medical facilities and equipment (β = .290, p< .001), medical staff's level of understanding of disability (β = .404, p< .001), health-related service use (β = .182, p<.05) had a statistically significant effect on the level of medical service satisfaction. Based on the results, practical alternatives to ensure health equity in the community medical system were suggested in the discussion to enhance the health management and self-determination capabilities of the disabled elderly.

The purpose of this study was to examine the mechanism through which youth school-based mentoring program impacts mentees' psychological and school-related outcomes such as self-esteem, self-efficacy, and attitudes toward school. The hypothetical model was assumed that mentors could improve their mentees' developmental outcomes through positive relationships with mentors as good role models and enhancement of help-seeking orientation. To investigate the mediating effect of process-related outcomes, structural equation modeling was used. The 97 adolescents were recruited through referral and random selection from middle schools in Seoul. The result showed that the effects of program participation were mediated by proximal changes in connectedness to role models and development of help-seeking orientation that, in turn, led to facilitate more positive attitudes toward school and academic activity, and improve psychological outcomes. Practice and policy implications as well as further research topics were discussed to aid the search for highly effective mentoring programs.
This study was conducted to investigate the types of personality of North Korean female refugees, which were extracted from the T-scores of SPFQ(scales of the Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire) and psychological adaptation. For this, The data of 158 North Korean female refugees located in Seoul Yangchun-Gu and Gayang-Gu was analyzed. The results were as follows. Firstly, the ratio of over 65T in ego-strength, self-control, social-boldness, anxiety scales and under 34T in abstractedness and openness to change scales was higher than in other scales. Secondly, there were statistically significant differences in personality characteristics based on the demographic variables especially age and the term of residence in South Korea. Thirdly, three distinct groups were extracted from the K-means cluster analysis. The first group was characterized with emotional-unstability and negative emotionality. And the North Korean female refugees in the second group hesitated to enter into and maintain proper relationships with south korean, while they were unlikely to accept norms and rules in South Korea. The third group, characterized by higher emotional stability, ego-strength, and agreeableness, was met normal range in all the scale of SPFQ. Finally, each three groups were showed statistically significant differences in psychological adaptation scales(self-identity and resilience). We expected that these results contributed to explore the psychological and the political plans for North Korean female refugees' settlement in South Korea.

The tasks of follow study are to investigate empirically the mediating effects of the protective factors on the problem behavior of post-runaway and resilience of runaway adolescents based on the systematic research design.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relation among alcohol outcome expectancies, alcohol abstinence self-efficacy, perceived drinking norms and alcohol use. This study was conducted via e-mail. Among 392 students who were participated via E-mail, 300 students (male 148, female 152) were met a definition of Wechsler's binge drinking. The results revealed that perceived norms were associated with alcohol use in binge drinking group, while those were not in non-binge drinking group. It was identified that a difference of peer's actual alcohol consumption and peer's perceived drinking was associated with individual alcohol use. Moreover, for binge drinking group, perceived norms predicted alcohol use better than any other factors. Drinking motives mediated the relation with perceived norms and alcohol use. Especially perceived norms affected alcohol use not only by increasing drinking motives but also by itself. Implication of this study is to provide a basis of prevention and intervention of binge drinking for college students.
The purpose of this study was to explore anger and its expression, psychoticism, addiction, and coping styles of victims, especially aggressive victims of dating violence, and to provide valuable information for prevention of dating violence and rehabilitation of victims. The participants were 477 female college students who had the experience of heterosexual dating relationships, whose ages ranged from 17 to 29 (M=20.59, SD=1.44). The psychological tests used in this research included the following: Straus' Conflict Tactics Scale, Spielberger's State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory, Eysenck Personalty Inventory, and multidimensional Coping Scale. Results revealed that victims only were more likely to receive violence as well as sexual harassments from their dating partners than aggressive victims of dating violence. Aggressive victims of dating violence showed higher level of trait anger and anger-out, and difficulty in control their anger than victim only and women who had not experienced dating violence. In addition, they also revealed symptoms of paychoticism and addiction. And aggressive victims of dating violence showed less active coping and more active forgetting and renunciation than victims only and women who had not experienced dating violence. Victims only of dating violence more like to criticize themselves and pursue religious coping than aggressive victims. Researcher discussed these results with previous studies.
The purpose of this study is to reveal and confirm the factor structure inherent in the Korean inventory of peer relationships(KIPR; Sang-Hwang Hong, et al., 2009) in order to strengthen the interpretive usefulness of the test. For this purpose, the inventory was administered to the total of 616 children in the fourth through sixth grades in three elementary schools located in Gyungnam area, and the data from 578 of them were analyzed. The results of the study can be summarized as follows. First, as a result of the exploratory factor analysis of 3-factor and 4-factor models, the 3-factor model was found to be more appropriate. In the 3-factor model, the factor 1 is named "Lack of Self-Confidence and Social Withdrawal" as it consists of such circumplex scale items as Non-Assertiveness (C5), Social Avoidance (C4), the Cold (C3), and Too Submissive (C6). The factor 2 is named "Too Aggressive and Controlling" and consists of items Too Controlling (C1) and Hard to be Supportive (C2). The factor 3 is named "Too Caring" and consists of items Too Responsible (C7), Over Involvement (C8), and Too Submissive (C6). Second, as a result of the confirmatory factor analysis, the 3-factor model, in comparison to the 4-factor model, was found to better reflect the collected data(RMSEA=.054), its goodness of fit was not satisfactory but within the acceptable range(CFI=.786), and its power of simplicity and clarity was also adequate(PCFI=.733). In the current study, through the exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses of scores from the Korean inventory of peer relationships circumplex scales, scales within the peer relationship circumplex model that are near each other and are highly correlated were confirmed to be grouped together as same factors. I believe the main merit of the study lies in the above result having provided the necessary foundation for forming the superordinate and representative scale that encompasses the eight circumplex scales, which enhances the test's interpretive usefulness.
This study has investigated how five peer status groups that were selected by a social skills scale exhibit different peer relationship problems by means of averages, standard deviations, and profile analysis. Social skills scale developed by Yi-Hwan Ahn(2007) and the inventory of peer relationships by Hae-Won Jung(2007) were administered to 551 fifth and sixth graders in 9 elementary schools located in Gyungnam province, and averages and standard deviations of 5 peer status groups' peer relationship problems were explored. Also in order to see if differences exist among 8 sub-scales in the inventory of peer relationships according to the peer status, an average profile of scores was represented by a graph and multivariate analysis was carried out. The main results of the study are as follows. First, statistical analysis of 551 cases included in the study showed the children were distributed into the Average group(319, 57.9%), the Popular group(111, 29.1%), the Rejected group(70, 12.9%), the Controversial group(41, 7.4%), and the Neglected group(10, 1.8%), in that order. Second, as a result of comparing average scores for each measure in the inventory of peer relationships according to the peer status group, a significant difference was found to exist according to a child's peer status. The Popular group showed the lowest scores in Too Controlling, Hard to be Supportive, the Cold, and Non-Assertive among the 5 peer status groups whereas the Rejected group showed the highest scores in Social Avoidant, Non-Assertive, and Too Responsible. Third, marked differences according to the peer status group were found. The Popular group showed the lowest profile among the peer status groups whereas the Rejected group had the highest profile. In the sub-scales of the peer relationship problems, the Rejected children showed a significantly higher level of Socially Avoidant and Non-Assertiveness in comparison to the Popular children, which implies the Popular children group has lower levels of peer relationship problems than the other groups.
