The career management concept is changing rapidly in the career management field in recent years. It becomes very difficult to have a lifetime employment within the same firm. As there is career-interruption that is pervasive phenomenon in the career management area, many academics and practitioners have been interested in it. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of career-interruptions as the effective career strategy of the self-directed career development on career strategy(career-interruptions frequency, career opportunities searching and career success (workers' wages). To test the effects of the self-directed career management, data were divided into two groups including self-directed career management group (n=210) and general career management group (n=191) based on whether career-interruptions are voluntary or not. The results showed that the self-directed career development attitude and career success were significantly different depending on worker's self-directed career management and general career management group.

In the advanced information age, learning is an activity in which learners access information resources through computers and Internet to acquire and evaluate information on their own. The emergence of an online learning platform based on the fourth industrial revolution technology is developing into an environment in which elementary and secondary learners learn and study based on constructivism learning theory. In the online learning environment, the researches on the information retrieval ability of the elementary and secondary learners and the self-directed learning ability were found to be highly related. However, it is necessary to analyze the relation between information retrieval ability and self-directed learning ability through a cross-sectional study that is limited to specific curriculum and contents and expands the longitudinal research. In this study, the panel data of the Seoul Education Longitudinal Study collected over 8 years are used to find the difference in self-directed learning ability according to the longitudinal pattern of information retrieval ability and frequency.

The purpose of this study is to confirm the effect of nursing process education applying action learning on the critical thinking tendency, self-leadership, and self-directed learning ability of nursing college students. A total of 96 subjects were studied, and data collection was from September to December 2021. For data analysis, the frequency, percentage, and corresponding sample t-test were used using spss/win 23. Results show that self-directed learning ability(t=-3.76, p<.001) was significantly improved. In addition, critical thinking disposition and self-leadership(r=.730, p<.001), critical thinking disposition and self-directed learning ability (r=.701, p<.001), self-leadership and self-directed learning ability(r=.734 p<.001) had a statistically significant positive correlation between them. As a result of this study, it can be seen that the nursing course education applied to action learning has a positive effect on the self-directed learning ability of nursing college students. In the future, research is needed to confirm the effects of various teaching and learning methods.

The purpose of this study was to investigate middle school student's self-directed learning(SDL) using a hierarchical linear modeling. By considering variances of SDL at individual and school level, the student's SDL was explained in terms of school quality as well as individual efforts. For the HLM analysis, participation in private tutoring, teacher's support for SDL, caring students' individual needs, and participation in extra curriculum activities were explored at individual level. At school level, school SES, quality of national curriculum implementation, and parental support for school were utilized. The results of analysis showed that more than 95% of variance of SDL was explained by variables at individual level. Among the variables at individual level, private tutoring was not a significant variable explaining the SDL. Based upon the results, multiple regression analyses by background variables were also conducted. By interpreting the results of analyses, the impact of school quality and individual efforts on the SDL was discussed.

Objectives: This study aimed to verify the effect on students' competency and self-directed capacity after a capstone design teaching method with community dental hygiene class. Methods: The study participants were 34 dental hygiene students taking a 4-year community dental hygiene course at a university located in City C. The research tool consisted of 52 questions on major competency and 20 questions on self-directed capacity. Results: After the capstone design class, overall dental hygienists' competency increased (p<0.05), and competencies of clinical dental hygiene and community health promotion showed a high increase (p<0.001). As a result of analyzing the increase in dental hygienists' competency according to self-directed learning ability, the group with low self-directed capacity showed high improvement in clinical dental hygiene competency and community oral health promotion competency. Conclusions: This study confirmed that the capstone design course in community dental hygiene improved students' competency and self-directed capacity, and suggests that it is an excellent teaching method for training competencies required for future society.

이 연구는 프로그래밍 교과의 수행평가에서 자기주도적 학습능력 촉진을 위하여 학업성취도를 분석 및 예측하는 시스템을 목적으로 하였다. 이 연구에서 학업성취도의 평가는 루브릭을 적용하여 프로그래밍 수행평가의 채점을 논리력, 문제해결력, 창의력으로 측정하였으며 학업성취도를 분석하기 위해 학습자별 학업성취도를 측정 준거 별로 그래프로 표현하며 이동평균법을 적용하여 향후 점수를 예측하였다. 이로 인해 학습자는 평가 결과 그래프로 현재 자신의 학습상태를 파악하고 예측 결과로 자신의 학습의 준거 별 장 단점을 분석하여 학습 방향 및 학습시간에 대한 자기 성찰에 도움을 주어 자기주도적 학습능력을 촉진시킬 수 있도록 하였다.

정보통신기술의 발달과 인터넷의 등장으로 원격교육은 새로운 교육패러다임을 주도할 역량있는 교육방식으로 대두되고 있다. 하지만 이런 시점에서 학교교육을 보다 효율적이며 실용적으로 지원할 수 있는 방안이 모색되어야 한다. 특히 초등교육에서의 원격교육은 이제 걸음마를 시작한 단계이며 평가분야에 대한 연구는 전무후무한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 학습자가 동영상 원격교육으로 학습과정을 진행한 후 만족할 만한 성취수준에서 자기평가를 실시하고 동영상 촬영하여 평가자료를 탑재하며, 이를 토대로 교사가 피드백할 수 있도록 시스템을 구축하였다. 이는 학습자가 학습과정 뿐만 아니라 평가영역에 있어서도 개인의 수준과 여건을 고려하여 자기 주도적으로 자기평가를 함으로써 자기주도적 학습능력을 향상시키며, 초등교육과정을 지원할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

The Purpose of this study is to embody self-directed learning management system and contents which are considered of learner's interactivity and usability in e-learning environment; It is based on self directed teaching and learning strategies. It divides type of interaction centering on the learners into four categories: (1) learner and instructor (2) learner and learner (3) learner and contents (4) learner and learning management system. The specific elements of learning management system is set up and embodied to present the interaction strategies according to the above-mentioned patterns, to improve the self-directed learning ability and to facilitate an online communication. The learning contents based on the self directed learning strategies, design the interface in due consideration of the learners' usability based on six strategies such as simple navigation, consistency, intuitive interface, linkage, user supports and immediate feedback. This research makes up for the weak points in the self-directed functions of learning management system and links up with learning contents, therefore it has a value to improve learner's interactivity and usability. It is expected that the research results can be helpful in quality improvement of e-learning environment.

The study has compared the effects in SNS-utilized instruction that each of self centric activities and social interaction added social activities affected self initiative, attitudes and self efficacy to information technology respectively. The research methods utilized the pre experimental design as nonequivalent experimental group. The data was analyzed by paired t-test and content analysis. The results showed that the SNS class utilized self-centric activities were effective in self-initiative and attitudes toward information technology, while social interaction added social activities were effective in not only self-initiative and the attitudes of information technology but also self efficacy of information technology. And content analysis of the effects of the education showed that information sharing, instancy and accessibility were advantageous but information security and privacy issues were problematic. That is, it was confirmed that when self-centric activities and social interaction activities were practised simultaneously in SNS-utilized instruction, the self initiative which learners planed and executed by themselves, the attitudes and self efficacy of information technology which were able to enhance learning ability and to show satisfaction to individual learning were improved.
