  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the moderating effect of mothers' play support beliefs on the relation between mothers' insecure attachment and children's playfulness. Methods: The research participants of this study include 254 children aged 3 to 5, who attended kindergartens and day care centers located in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Chung-cheong, and their 254 mothers. For data analyses, descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation and hierarchical multiple regression were conducted using SPSS 23.0 program. Results: First, there was negative association between mothers' insecure attachment and play support beliefs. Social spontaneity and expression of joy were negatively related to mothers' insecure attachment. However, mothers' play support beliefs showed positive associations with children's playfulness, particularly including children's physical spontaneity and expression of joy. In addition, mothers' play support beliefs moderated the relation between mothers' insecure attachment and children's expression of joy. However, the beliefs did not moderate the relation between mothers' insecure attachment and other playfulness traits. Conclusion/Implications: The findings of the present study indicate that mothers' understanding of the importance of play may buffer the adverse effect of mothers' insecure attachment on children's capabilities of expressing their sense of pleasure.

  • Eliminativist about mentality want to throw out propositional attitude. In this respect, according to R. G. Swinburne, Lynne R. Baker, this theory seems to be self refuting. But it is not so clear enough in what sense eliminativism is self refuting. There are several construals of self-refutation argument against eliminativism. Among them, Patricia Churchland's simple version is defended here. For doing this, we need to analyze William Ramsey's reconstruction of self- refutation argument and J. L. Mackie's famous concept of self-refutation. As a result of this analysis, we can understand most self-refutation arguments against eliminativism don't succeed to defeat eliminativism with this argument.

  • This study analyzed the effects of women's SNS use on their alternative behaviors of managing health. This study paid attention to how women's behaviors of seeking information about poisonous menstrual products and alternative menstrual products would impact their intention to use alternative menstrual products. Mainly based on health belief model, 11 hypotheses were created and tested through a path analysis of survey data. Results from the path analysis indicated that SNS information about menstrual products were significantly associated with perceived advantage of alternative menstrual products and perceived sensitivity of poisonous menstrual products. In addition, four main factors-self-efficacy, perceived sensitivity, perceived advantage, and perceived disadvantage-were significantly associated with women's intention to use alternative menstrual products.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the nursing students' COVID-19 vaccination intention based on health belief model. A total of 169 nursing students who were freshman to senior grade from one college participated in this study. An online self-administered questionnaire was used for data collection from April 5 to 16, 2021 and data were analyzed using the SPSS/Window 21.0 program. Multiple regression analysis conducted to verify the factors on COVID-19 vaccination intention. The significant influential factors for COVID-19 vaccination intention were self-efficacy(β=.345, p<.001), cues to action(β=.307, p<.001), perceived benefits(β =.143, p= .034), and knowledge(β=.116, p=.042). The model explained 50.8% of the variance in the COVID-19 vaccination intention. This result points to the importance of fostering nursing student's self-efficacy, cues to action, perceived benefits, and knowledge to promote COVID-19 vaccination uptake.

Method: The participants were 394 teachers from child care centers in Seoul city. Data collection was done using a questionnaire that included a Safety Knowledge Test, Health Belief Scale and Self-efficacy Scale. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient were used to analyze the data. The SPSS 11.0 Win program was used for analysis. Results: The mean was 12.11 for safety knowledge, 38.31 for health belief, and 91.07 for self-efficacy. There were statistically significant differences in the degree of safety knowledge according to safety education, in the level of health beliefs according to length of service as a teacher and in the degree of self-efficacy according to age, and length of service as a teacher. There were statistically significant positive correlations between safety knowledge and health belief, and between safety knowledge and self-efficacy of child care teachers. Conclusion: According to the results, programs to improve safety knowledge, health beliefs and self-efficacy of child care teachers should be developed and used to decrease the proportion of accidents involving children in Korea.

  • Purposes: To identify the predictors of calcium intake behavior and examine the relationships among bone mineral density, osteoporosis knowledge, osteoporosis health belief, osteoporosis self efficacy and calcium intake behavior of postmenopausal osteoporosis patients. Methods: The subjects consisted of 94 patients. The measurement tools were osteoporosis knowledge test, osteoporosis health belief scale, osteoporosis self-efficacy and calcium intake frequency questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the SPSS WIN 11.0 program. Results: The bone mineral density of the lumbar were $0.75g/cm^2$, T-score -2.67 and the femur neck were $0.67g/cm^2$, T-score -2.30. There was statistically a significant correlation between calcium intake behavior and health motivation (r=0.449, p=0.000) among the osteoporosis health belief. In hierarchial multiple regression analysis, current spouse(12.8%) and health motivation(19.9%) of the osteoporosis health belief explained the 32.7% of variance in calcium intake behavior. Conclusion: Nursing intervention should be developed for increasing the calcium intake behavior through promoting health motivation for the postmenopausal osteoporosis women having no spouse currently.
