고이득 관측기를 이용한 자기 베어링 휠용 자기 부상 시스템의 비선형 제어 (Nonlinear Control of an Electromagnetic Levitation System Using High-gain Observers for Mmagnetic Bearing Wheels)

  • In this paper, we develop a functional test model for magnetic bearing wheels. The functional test model is an electromagnetic levitation system that has three degree of freedom, which consists of one axial suspension from gravity and two axes gimbaling capability to small angels. A nonlinear controller with high-gain observers is proposed and the real-time experiment results show that the rotor is accurately levitated at the desired position and well-balanced, which is a suitable result for the potential use an magnetic bearing wheels. Also, the proposed scheme exhibits better performance when it is compared with the conventional PID control method.

  • 친환경기술과 신재생 에너지 자원에 대한 세계적인 관심이 증가하면서, 플라이휠 에너지 저장 장치는 화학전지나 연료전지와 같은 기존의 에너지 저장 시스템의 대안 중 하나로 부상하고 있다. 플라이휠 에너지 저장장치의 에너지 저장 용량은 극질량 관성모멘트와 회전속도의 제곱에 비례하기 때문에, 가능한 높은 회전속도와 높은 극질량 관성모멘트를 갖도록 설계하는 것이 중요하다. 하지만, 시스템의 운전안정성 확보가 최적설계의 구속조건으로 작용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 에너지 저장 용량을 최대화하고 운전안정성 및 외란에 대한 강인성을 확보하는 플라이휠 시스템의 최적설계를 제안한다. 그리고, 기존의 PD 제어에 비교하여 교차궤환제어법이 자이로스코프효과를 줄이고, 에너지 저장밀도를 높이는데 필수적임을 확인하였다.

  • This study presents an effective methodology on integrated monitoring system for a maglev guideway using WDM-based FBG sensors. The measuring quantities include both local and global quantities of the guideway response, such as stains, curvatures, and vertical deflections. The strains are directly measured from multiplexed FBG sensors at various locations of the test bridge followed by curvature calculations based on the plane section assumption. Vertical deflections are then estimated using the Bernoulli beam theory and regression analysis. Frequency contents obtained from the proposed method are compared with those from a conventional accelerometer. Verification tests were conducted on the newly-developed Korean Maglev test track. It has been shown that good agreement between the measured deflection and the estimated deflection is achieved. The difference between the two peak displacements was only 3.5% in maximum and the correlations between data from two sensing systems are overall very good. This confirms that the proposed technique is capable of tracing the dynamic behavior of the maglev guideway with an acceptable accuracy. Furthermore, it is expected that the proposed scheme provides an effective tool for monitoring the behavior of the maglev guideway structures without electro magnetic interference.

  • In this paper, we address an active vibration control system, which suppresses the vibration engaged by magnetically levitated stage. The stage system consists of a levitating platen with four permanent magnetic linear synchronous motors in parallel. Each motor generates vertical force fer suspension against gravity and propulsion force horizontally as well. This stage can generate six degrees of freedom motion via the vertical and horizontal forces. In the stage system, which represents the settling-time critical system. the motion of the platen vibrates mechanically. We designed an active vibration control system for suppressing vibration due to the stage moving. The command feedforward with inertial feedback algorithm is used fer solving stage system's critical problems. The components of the active vibration control system are accelerometers for detecting stage table's vibrations, a digital controller with high precise signal converters, and electromagnetic actuators.

  • 본 논문에서는 고진공용 터보분자펌프의 비접촉 고속회전을 위한 자기베어링 시스템의 디지털 제어시스템의 설계에 대하여 소개하였으며, 실례로 800 l/s급의 고진공 펌프에 대하여 축 유연모드의 후방향 위험속도를 넘는 최대 40,000 rpm까지의 회전실험 결과를 나타내었다. 제안된 제어시스템은 기본적으로 PID 기반의 직접궤환 제어기와 자이로스코픽 모멘트 효과를 제어하기 위한 교차궤환기, 유연모우드 감쇄를 위한 리드필터와 동기진동 저감을 위한 노치필터 등으로 구성되어 있으며, 이러한 제어기는 자기부상형 터보분자펌프 외에 고속 플라이휠과 같은 자기베어링에 적용될 수 있다.

  • This paper deals with the characteristic analysis of electro-magnet (EM)-permanent magnet (PM) hybrid levitation and propulsion device for magnetically levitated (maglev) vehicles. Several machine characteristics such as levitation force with/without control current and thrust are described. In order to verify the analysis results and feasibility of high-speed operation of the maglev vehicle, real-scale static test set is implemented and tested.

  • The performance of magnetic levitation controller is affected from not only levitation control algorithm but also the interaction between compositing system, so it is important to design maglev system considering the character of magnetic levitation controller in order to get the required performance of Maglev. The factors affecting the levitation controller of maglev are the dynamics of levitation magnet, the carrying weight of the overall system, the normal force and lateral force of traction motor and rail condition. In this paper the interaction between magnet and vehicle weight is analysed on side of stability of levitation controller in order to get the required performance of levitation controller.

  • In this paper, hybrid electromagnets using NdFeB permenant magnet are designed by 3-dimensional finite element analysis. Four hybrid magnets levitate the carrier of which total weight including control circuits and battery is 14[kg]. The nominal air gap length of the hybrid magnet is 3[mm]. The control circuit consists of DSP, 4-quadrant chopper, and gap sensor as feedback sensors. As a result, some experimental results for the magnetic levitation control by PI feedback control theory are shown.

  • This paper deals with the design considerations of electro-magnet (EM)-permanent magnet (PM) hybrid levitation and propulsion device for magnetically levitated (maglev) vehicles. Several design considerations such as machine structure, manufacturing, and control strategy are described. In order to verify the design scheme and feasibility of control strategy, dynamic test set is implemented and tested.
