  • This study examined the effects of psychological attributes influencing the happiness of early childhood pre-service teachers. The psychological attributes included positive states(self-efficacy, satisfaction), negative states(depression), and goals for the future(professional goal as a teacher). The objects were 269 early childhood pre-service teachers who were studying in college and university to become early childhood teachers. The results were as follows: First, there were not clear differences in terms of goal content(self, others), whereas there were clear differences in terms of school satisfaction and major interest of childhood pre-service teachers. Second, self-efficacy was positively correlated with happiness and depression was negatively correlated with the happiness of early childhood pre-service teachers. Third, self-efficacy and depression were predicting variables for the happiness of early childhood pre-service teachers. More specifically, depression was the most influential variable when it comes to determining the level of happiness. Thus, implications for improving the happiness of early childhood pre-service teachers were presented.

  • This study was conducted for nursing students and was attempted to find out the relationship between rudeness, major satisfaction, self-efficacy and burnout which they experience during clinical practice and provide the basic data for the qualitative clinical practice. This study, as a correlation survey study, was conducted for 210 senior nursing students who experienced clinical practice and who were in a nursing department, and data was collected from Oct 1, 2016 to Oct 15, 2016. The data was analyzed with Correlation Coefficient and regression using SPSS Program 20.0. It was revealed that the burnout of nursing students was affected by rudeness, major satisfaction, and self-efficacy. In conclusion, it is necessary to establish the reporting system which is connected to hospitals, students, and clinical practice leaders and hospital administrators and improve the system.

  • This study examined the effects of simulation training for nursing students who completed one year of basic nursing education. The study focused on effects of simulation training exercises on areas including self-resilience, self-efficacy, and satisfaction during the course of study. The raw experimental study of a single group was a pre-post design. The general characteristics and ego resilience were measured to analyze the effects of simulated training, self-efficacy, a major pre-acquisition and satisfaction. The improvements of the self-resilience (t=-7.38,p<.001) and self-efficacy (t=-4.93,p<.001), Major satisfaction (t=-5.28,p<.001) were statistically significant. Therefore, the simulation training has a positive effect on nursing students in terms of the self-efficacy, major satisfaction. The purpose of this research is significant in that it is presented before the nursing college students begin clinical practice as the starting time of simulation training.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the prediction of self-regulated learning, GRIT and parents support on computational thinking and learning satisfaction in online software education. The participants were 71 elementary students who attended to an online software education which K university offered in Spring 2018. The 63 of cases were used to analyze by SPSS. The key findings were as follows: First, self-regulated learning and GRIT significantly predicted computational thinking. Second, self-regulated learning and GRIT significantly predicted learning satisfaction. This research suggested the implications for computational thinking and learning satisfaction in online software education.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of high fidelity simulation-based education for cardiac arrest emergency nursing applied to nursing students on communication self-efficacy, communication competence, and educational satisfaction. For this study a nonequivalent control group non-synchronized post-test design was used. Participants were 42 nursing students who attended in one university and completed the self-report questionnaire. Data were analyzed through frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, x2 test, and independent t-test using the SPSS 22.0 program. As a result, communication self-efficacy (t=2.87, p=.007), communication competence (t=2.96, p=.005) and educational satisfaction (t=4.75, p=<.001) were significantly higher than in the control group after high fidelity simulation-based education. High fidelity simulation-based education for cardiac arrest emergency nursing was able to improve communication self-efficacy, communication competence, and educational satisfaction for nursing students.

Among the data for the 3rd year of the Korea Children's and Youth Panel Survey 2018 (KCYPS. 2018), data from 2,384 first-year middle school students were used, and descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, linear regression analysis, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were performed to test the hypothesis. First, it was analyzed that the social withdrawal had a statistically significant negative(-) effect on the self-esteem. Second, it was analyzed that the social withdrawal had a statistically significant negative(-) effect on the life satisfaction. Third, it was verified that self-development Youth Activities had a moderating effect in the relationship between social withdrawal and self-esteem. Fourth, it was verified that self-development Youth Activities had a moderating effect in the relationship between social withdrawal and life satisfaction.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of self-efficacy, major satisfaction, and clinical practice stress on the confidence in performing core nursing skills of nursing students. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire for 142 3,4th graders of K University's nursing department in Gyeongsangbukdo and analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. As a result of the study, the confidence in performing core nursing skills according to general characteristics showed a significant difference in grade(F=-2.08, p<0.05). Confidence in performing core nursing skills showed a significant positive correlation with self-efficacy(r=.50, p<.001) and major satisfaction(r=.62, p<.001), and factors influencing confidence in performing core nursing care were found to have 41.7% explanatory power with major satisfaction(β=.49, p=.002) and self-feeicacy(β=.24, p<.001). Based on the results of this study, it seems necessary to establish an educational strategy to improve the confidence in performing core nursing skills and to improve self-efficacy and major satisfaction.

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of undergraduates' self-directed learning on the school life satisfaction and interpersonal relation ability. For this purpose, 341 undergraduates were targeted and analyzed. The results of the study are as follows. First, significant positive correlation was found in self-directed learning, school life satisfaction, and interpersonal relation abilities. Second, as a result of analyzing school life satisfaction, a sub-factor of self-directed learning, all of gender, grade, and age affected. In addition, sub-factors such as study confidence, study passion, study responsibility seemed to affect positively significantly in order. Third, as a result of analyzing the effect on interpersonal relation skills of self-directed study, there was no significant relation in gender, grade, and age. However, there was significant positive effect in study responsibility, study passion, and study confidence in order. Based on the results of this study, it was confirmed that school life satisfaction and interpersonal relation abilities are closely related to self-directed learning. This is significant in that to revitalize institutions such as educational service, study support for students, self-directed learning programs development in education field at the university, etc. are required.
