Testing the Auto-regressive Cross-lagged Effects Between Relative Extrinsic Value Orientation and Life-satisfaction (상대적 외적 가치 지향과 삶의 만족 간 자기회귀교차지연 효과 검증)

  • The relative extrinsic value orientation (REVO) means the relative importance to extrinsic values (e.g. wealth, fame and social approval) compared with intrinsic values (e.g. affiliation, self-acceptance and personal growth). This study aimed to investigate the causal relation between REVO and life-satisfaction using the auto-regressive cross-lagged modeling. For this purpose, 3rd, 5th, and 7th year data from the Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) middle school 1st grade panel was analyzed (N = 2,259; 1,140 males and 1,119 females). The results are as follows; Firstly, positive auto-regressive effects of REVO and life-satisfaction were significant. Secondly, REVO was found to have negative and cross-lagged effect on life-satisfaction. However, cross-lagged effect from life-satisfaction to REVO was not significant. Finally, no gender difference was found in this relationship. These results suggest that low life satisfaction does not cause the relative extrinsic value orientation, but high relative extrinsic value orientation may cause low life satisfaction.

The Relationship between External Contingencies of Self-Worth and Materialism of Undergraduates: Self-Discrepancy and the Stability of Self-Esteem as Mediators (대학생의 외적 자기가치 수반성과 물질주의의 관계: 자기 불일치, 자존감 안정성의 매개효과)

  • The present study aimed to emprically verify the materialistic pursuits process of undergraduates by applying the escape theory of materialism(Donnelly et al., 2016). Among the six steps of Donnelly's model, the first step is percieving that the fall short of high standards of life, as measured by external contingencies of self-worth. The second step is blaming the self for falling short of standards, as measured by self-discrepancy. The third step of high aversive self-awareness is measured by low stability of self-esteem. A total of 465(203 male and 262 female) college students participated in the online survey and the model was tested using structural equation model. We found that the relationship of external contingencies of self-worth and materialism was mediated by self-discrepancy and there was a sequential mediation effect of self-discrepancy and the stability of self-esteem. The direct effect of external contingencies of self-worth on materialism was also significant. This study is meaningful in that it used the escape theory to emprically verify the materialistic pursuit process of Korean undergraduates living in a meritocratic society.

Consumer's Consciousness of the LOHAS Consumption and the Consumption Behavior of the LOHAS Products (소비자의 로하스 소비의식과 로하스 상품소비행동)

  • This paper explored consumers' LoHAS purchasing behavior and factors influencing the behavior, including' self-construal, and LoHAS values, attitudes and behavior. First, this study investigated how self-construal affected LoHAS values, and then analyzed how LoHAS values influenced LoHAS attitude and behavior. Last, this study is to examine how the relationships among LoHAS values, LoHAS attitude and behavior are moderated by consumers' gender. We administerd a survey with undergraduates attending a university located in the metropolitan area. The analysis results indicate that interdependent self-construal affects LoHAS values. According to the analysis, both environmentalism and sustainability of LoHAS values also affect LoHAS attitude, and then the attitude influences LoHAS behavior. In addition, the results show that the relationships among LoHAS values, LoHAS attitude and behavior are not moderated by consumers' gender. This study shows the casual relationship between variables including self-construal, LoHAS values, attitude and behavior. In particular, this finding confirms that self-construal as one of psychological factors affects LoHAS consumers' values and behavior. Finally, based in the findings of this study, theoretical contribution and managerial implications are discussed.

시장가치 대차대조표를 이용한 자본비용과 베타분석

  • 본 연구는 MM(1963)에 의하여 시작된 기존의 기업가치와 자본구조에 대한 연구 방법과는 달리, Rao(1987), Howe(1995), Brealey-Myers(1996)등을 중심으로 시도되어 온 시장가치 대차대조표(MVB/S)를 이용한 기업가치와 자본비용의 통합적 분석방법을 소개하였다. 그리고 MM(1963)에 가정을 추가함으로써 변형된 기업가치 모형과 자본비용에 대한 연구방법을 시도한 Modigliani(1988), Miles-Ezzell(1980)와 Taggart(1991)의 연구가 MVB/S를 이용하여도 동일하게 적용할 수 있음을 증명하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 MM(1963)의 명제들로부터 유도되는 관계식인 가중평균자본비용과 무부채기업의 자기자본비용과의 관계(MM명제III)와 부채사용기업의 자기자본 비용과 무부채기업의 자기자본비용과의 관계(MM명제II)를 Modigliani(1988), Miles-Ezzell(1980)와 Taggart(1991)의 가정하에서 MVB/S를 이용하여 각각 유도하였다. 그리고 MVB/S를 이용하여 유도된 자본비용들간의 제관계식이 이들의 연구결과와 동일함을 증명하였다. 나아가 개인소득세가 존재할 경우에 무위험주식의 도입을 통하여 기업가치모형을 유도하고 이를 바탕으로 자본비용들간의 제관계식을 유도하고 아울러 베타분석도 실시하였다.

The Influence of Mother's Child-based Self-worth on the Maternal Depression : The Mediating Effect of Parent-child Relationship (어머니의 자녀 수반 자기가치감이 어머니의 우울에 미치는 영향: 부모 자녀 관계의 매개효과)

  • This study aimed to examine the relation of the mother's tendency to base her self-worth on the child's achievement(child-based self-worth), negative parental relationship, and the mother's depression. For this purpose, 400 Korean mothers with children in middle and high schools completed the survey including Child-based Self-worth Scale, Adolescent-Parent relationship Scale, and CES-D scale. SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 were used to analysis procedure. The results were as follows: first, the mother's child-based self-worth, dysfunctional parent-child interaction, and depression were positively correlated to one another. Second, dysfunctional parent-child interaction fully mediated the relationship between the mother's child-based self-worth and depression. Lastly, this study discussed significance and limitations of this study, as well as proposals for future research.

라이프스타일과 자기표현욕구가 비건화장품 구매의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

  • 최근 기초화장품 트렌드로 클린 화장품, 비건 화장품 등이 브랜드별로 새롭게 출시되고 시장내 성장하고 있다. 한동안 화장품의 성분에 대한 관심과 영향이 커지면서 기능성화장품, 코스메슈티컬화장품, 더마화장품들이 신뢰를 얻고 인기가 있던 가운데, 효능 외의 요소를 소구하는 브랜드와 제품에 대한 관심이 커지고 있는 중이다. 본 연구는 이러한 변화에 있어 소비자의 라이프스타일과 소비가치의 상관관계가 영향이 있을 것으로 보고 이를 분석하고자 한다. 또한 ESG가 강조되는 사회 분위기 속에 클린 화장품 또는 비건 화장품의 소비가 일종의 자기표현의 욕구를 충족시켜주는 역할로써의 관계가 있는지도 알아보고자 한다. 따라서 기초 화장품을 사용하는 소비자들을 대상으로 라이프스타일과 자기표현욕구가 비건화장품 구매의도에 미치는 영향 및 소비가치를 매개변수로 하여 라이프스타일과 자기표현욕구와 구매의도 간의 영향을 살펴하고자 한다. 독립변수는 라이프스타일의 하위변수인 외모관리 지향형, 질적건강추구형으로 구분하였고, 자기표현욕구를 사용하였다. 설문조사는 대학생, 직장인, 주부등 20대부터 40대까지 연령층을 대상으로 진행하여 실증분석에 사용할 예정이다. SPSS v22.0을 사용하여 3단계 매개모형을 기반으로 회기분석할 예정이다.

A Study on Clothing Consumption Value: A Qualitative Approach (의복 소비가치에 대한 질적 연구)

  • 본 연구는 소비자의 실제적인 의복 소비 행동을 설명할수 있는 가치 개념을 제시하기 위하여 의복 소비가치의 구체적 유형을 밝히고, 적합하고 신뢰성 있는 의복 소비가치 척도를 구성 할 수 있는 기초자료를 제시 하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 Sheth(1991)의 소비 가치 이론과 의류학 및 소비자 행동분야의 다양한 이론을 토대로 초점집단면접(Focus Group Interview)을 통하여 소비가치에 대한 탐색적 접근을 시도한 결과를 논의하였다. 의복의 구매와 착용의 선택상황에 영향을 미치는 소비가치는 Sheth(1991)의 5가지 소비가치 유형인 기능적 가치, 사회적 가치, 감정적 가치, 진귀적 가치, 상황적 가치 및 의복제품의 특성에 따른 자기표현적 가치로 분류되었다. 기능적 가치는 물리적 속성, 물리적 기능, 도구적 성과와 관련되었으며, 사회적 가치는 사회계층, 준거집단, 인구통계 적 특성 집단, 문화-민족적 집단과의 관련성 에 대 한 가치로 구성되었다. 감정적 가치는 긍정적, 부정적 감정 및 심미성 요인으로 구성되었으며, 진취적 가치는 다양성추구행동 요인 및 유행성의. 새로움 추구 요인과 관련되었다 또한 상황적 가치는 의복착용상황, 구매상황, 커뮤니케이션 상황으로 구성되었으며, 자기표현적 가치는 성격, 이미지 표현, 개성추구, 유행추구 등의 요인으로 구성되었다. 본 연구의 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 소비가치에 대한 양적 연구를 실시한다면, 보다 객관적인 구조를 파악하고 신뢰성 있는 측정 문항을 개발할 수 있을 것이다.

The Relationships Among Self-Control, Value Consumption, and Subjective Happiness of High School Students (고등학생의 자기통제력 및 가치소비와 주관적 행복감의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between self-control, value consumption, and subjective happiness of high school students. In this study, self-control is the students' ability to control their thoughts and emotions and value consumption is the psychological mechanism of their consumer behavior. To conduct this study, 400 high school students were surveyed. Independent sample t-tests showed statistical significance in the results that are discussed below. First, subjective happiness among the participants varied according to their self-control levels. We observed that the higher their level of self-control was, the higher their subjective happiness was also likely to be. Second, there was a significant difference in subjective happiness based on the value consumption level of high school students. We observed that the higher their value consumption level was, the higher their subjective happiness also was.

The Effect of Self-efficacy and Occupational Value on Major Satisfaction in Dental Hygiene Students (치위생학 전공 대학생들의 자기효능감과 직업가치가 전공만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of self-efficacy and occupational value in major satisfaction in dental hygiene students. The subjects were 236 dental hygiene students in Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheongnam-do. They filled out self-reported questionnaires that consisted of general characteristics of subject, self-efficacy, occupational value, and major satisfaction. Data were analyzed using SPSS WIN 18.0 and Amos. V18. Sophomore's curriculum satisfaction and perceive satisfaction were higher than freshman's. Group of high self-efficacy was higher than average and low groups in major satisfaction. Group of internal occupational value was higher than group of external and neutral occupational value in curriculum satisfaction, perception satisfaction, and total major satisfaction. The most effective factor on major satisfaction of dental hygiene students was self-efficacy.

Effect of Job Satisfaction, Economic Condition Satisfaction, Change of Self-Worth on Quality of Life in the Elderly Employment Program Participants (노인일자리사업 참여자의 일자리사업 참여만족, 경제상태만족, 자기가치감 변화가 삶의 질에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of the study was to examine the structural relationship among job satisfaction, economic condition satisfaction, change of self-worth and quality of life of Elderly Employment Program participants. An analysis was conducted on the data of the '2012 Elderly Employment Program Participants Survey'. The major findings were as follows. The job satisfaction, economic condition satisfaction, change of self-worth had positive effects to quality of life. The job satisfaction had mediator effect to quality of life through economic condition satisfaction and change of self-worth. Also, change of self-worth had indirect effect between economic condition satisfaction and quality of life. Based on the results, the implications for Elderly Employment Program practice and policy were suggested.
