An Analysis of Character Education and Evaluation Components for Selecting Creative Convergent Talents (창의융합인재 선발을 위한 인성교육 및 인성평가 요소 분석)

  • This study aimed to examine character evaluation criteria and components for selecting creative convergent talents in college admissions. In this study, pre-college students' perceptions were surveyed on various issues related to character education and evaluation implemented in K-12 school system. It was found that the character education programs intended to enhance students' care for others, interpersonal skills, and honesty were most actively operated within the secondary educational systems. The results of the study also indicated that the programs for fostering interpersonal skills, care for others, and sincerity were perceived as the most effective programs. Based on the results of the study, we discussed ways to improve the quality of character education programs operated in school curriculum and to improve the credibility of character evaluation in the college admission process.

Multidimensional scaling analysis on the images of special purpose academies (다차원 척도법을 이용한 특수 목적대학에 대한 이미지 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the images of the Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, Police Academy, and Armed Forces Nursing Academy using multidimensional scaling method. For this research, we surveyed 363 applicants to special purpose academies including Military Academies and Police College. The study showed that the Military, Naval, and Air Force Academies had stronger image than the Police Academy in the area of physical strength, tradition, and fellowship between senior and junior. On the other hand, the Police Academy had better image in the area of social activity and applicant's academic achievement. The Military Academy had been evaluated the best school among the three Academies in the area of applicant's academic achievement, educational environment, faculty, tradition, and fellowship between senior and junior.

Person Perception in Cyber-space: Focused on Comparisons with Face-to-face Communication and Gender differences (가상공간에서의 대인지각: 면대면 조건과의 비교 및 성차를 중심으로)

  • Study 1 composed of three experiments examined differences in person perception between computer-mediated (or CMC) and face-to-face (or FTF) communications. In Experiment 1, each of 17 groups of 4-5 discussed a donation entrance system through CMC and a week later a college-based university system through FTF communication mode for half an hour. Then members of a given group rated each other along with self-ratings on five personality traits. Results indicated that in FTF than CMC condition, ratings of others were more positive and also self-peer agreement and meta-accuracy were larger in spite of no large difference in inter-judge agreement between two communication modes. In Experiment 2, 17 groups of 4 in each of the CMC and FTF condition discussed a college-based university system for an hour. Then group members rated each other on another five trait dimensions. Although ratings of others were more positive in FTF than CMC condition, there no systematic differences in two types of agreement and meta-accuracy between the two communication modes. In Experiment 3, 17 groups of 4 in each of the CMC and FTF condition discussed a donation entrance system for an hour and then group members rated each other on five trait dimensions different from those used in Experiment 1 and 2. The findings replicated Experiment 1. Study 2 examined gender differences in person perception in CMC. Fifteen dyads for each of the man-man, man-woman, and man-woman conditions communicated for an half hour in CMC and then rated each other along with self ratings on 25 personality trait dimensions. Results indicated that participants rated their partners more negatively for extorversion, agreeableness and culture factors, which was due mainly to woman's negative evaluations for their male partners. Also, self-peer agreement was the largest in the man-man communication condition. These findings were discussed in relation to differences between CMC and FTF communication modes.

지상(紙上)블로그 - 2007~2010년간 대학도서관 사서 모집현황 분석 및 전망

  • 문헌정보학 전공자에게 있어 취업의 꽃은 대학도서관 사서로의 진출이 아닐까 싶다. 왜냐하면 대학 도서관은 다른 관종의 도서관에 비해 외형적으로 규모가 크고, 업무는 다양할 뿐만 아니라 영역별로 전문화되어 있어 다양한 경험을 쌓을 수 있는 장점이 있다. 게다가 근무시간이나 급여, 복지 등과 같은 근무조건 및 환경 역시 타 관종에 비하여 비교적 우위에 있다고 하겠다. 때문에 전공자들 사이에는 기회가 된다면 누구나 대학도서관 사서로의 꿈을 꾸는 것이다. 하지만 최근 대학을 둘러싼 내외적인 상황이 그리 만만하지가 않다. 대학 외적으로는 대학 간 무한경쟁 체제의 확산 및 심화, 입학자원의 절대적 감소, 정부 및 각종 기관의 지원시 엄격한 평가 적용 등의 영향과 내적으로는 대학내 도서관 위상의 점진적 약화, 사서적인 수의 감소, 사서직에 대한 전통적 인식 약화로 인한 입지 위협 등으로 인하여 대하교직원 채용에 있어 도서관 사서는 대개 후순위이거나 고려대상에서 점점 더 멀어지고 있는 실정이다. 또한 최근에는 긍적적 측면과 부정적 측면이 상존하는 사서직원의 본부부서 이동 역시 늘어나고 있다고 하겠다. 한편 1987년 사서자격증 발급자가 2,000여명을 돌파한 이래 최근에는 매년 2,400여명 내외의 자격증 소지자를 배출하고 있는데, 본 글은 이 정도의 공급에 미루어 볼 때 전체 관종 대비 대학도서관 사서의 모집현황은 어느 정도인지? <사서e마을> 정규직, 비정규직 코너에 2007~2010년간 게재된 모집 공고 중심으로 월별, 지역별, 대학 설립주체별 현황 분석 및 전망을 해보고자 한다.

An Exploring Study on the Evaluation Strategies of the Extra-Curricula Area for Admission to a University using SWOT Analysis (SWOT 분석을 통한 대학 입학 전형에서 비교과 영역 평가 전략 탐색)

  • This study aims to analyze the factors of the extra-curricula area in personal school performance record and propose the practical strategies for entrance examination affairs on this area. To address this goal, we have applied a SWOT analysis with related documents and research results. We found out five strengths: (S1) Link the students' experience to right people for the university, (S2) Quantitative Indicators, (S3) Qualitative Indicators, (S4) Link to other evaluation factors, and (S5) Analysis of Human Resource. The weakness included: (W1) Fairness, (W2) Reliability, (W3) Difficulties to set standards, (W4) Difficulties to set environments, and (W5) Lack of systemic experience of an evaluation. We also discovered five opportunities (O1) Recognition of public education, (O2) The need of national support, (O3) The importance of autonomy, (O4) Specialization, and (O5) Networks. Finally, threat factors consisted of: (T1) Frequent change of educational policy, (T2) Increasing of private education, (T3) Lack of information and preparation time, and (T4) The accuracy and reliability of personal school records. Based on these results, we suggested practical strategies with these four dimensions: S-O, W-O, S-T, and W-T.

A Study on the Design of OMCR(Optical Mark and Character Reader) System based on Image Processing (영상처리방식에 의한 OMCR 시스템 설계에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, OMR system based on image processing is developed which improve the performance of conventional OMR system based on line-scan method. Based on this OMR system, real-time OCR system which recognizes alphanumerics is also developed. We propose the OMCR system which recognize the mark and numerals at the same time. Besides, we improve the input system using constrained 7-segment type handwritten numeral instead of mark to solve the problem caused by miswriting the mark. In summary, we verified the reai-time recognition performance of developed OMCR system using application form for admission, answer sheet for college entrance examination and receipt sheet.

  • We have studied the problems associated with increasing number of ophthalmic optics students every year. The main problems are surplus supply of the optometrist and poor working condition. Thus all parties concerned who aim to solve the numerical unbalance of optometrist must have the common policy in sight. And we have to make a long-term plan and permanent organization for medical technician to establish supply and demand of medical technician with exact policy. To solve this unbalance of optometrist numbers, we have to establish an exact job category, reform the specialized education course, estimate the practical technique of national licensing examination for Korean optometrist, and innovate the contents and methods of reeducation.

A study on the relationship between the scores of TOEFL, TOEIC and TEPS, and college academic performance (TOEFL, TOEIC, TEPS 시험 점수와 대학 수학 능력과의 연관성 연구)

  • The scores of TOEFL, TOEIC, and TEPS have been increasingly used for many purposes in Korea. In particular, these test scores are being used as a predictor for determining readiness for and success in college work, or as a measure of the testees' overall English proficiency. Nonetheless, studies have rarely proposed that the validity of the test scores is used for either purpose. As a preliminary step to explore the predictive validity of the test scores, we collected the scores of TOEFL, TOEIC, and TEPS from thirty students of a university as well as their cumulative grade point averages (GPAs). The correlations between the test scores and GPAs show that TOEFL will be most likely to have the highest validity coefficient as a predictor for determining success in college work as well as a measure of overall English proficiency. Although this study has a few limitations such as the small number of participants, their homogeneousness as a group, etc., it provides some insight into the use of the three tests for college admissions and measurement of overall English proficiency and suggests need for conducting further validation studies in these areas.

  • 대학이 신입생을 선발하는 기준은 해당전공을 공부하는데 적합한 지원자를 선발하는 것이며, 해당모집단위에 많이 지원하게 하여 신입생 충원을 용이하게 하는 것 등이다. 대학은 입학전형을 거쳐서 신입생을 선발하게 되며, 선발기준으로 전형요소를 활용하게 된다. 전형요소 활용방법은 신입생 선발에 영향을 주기 때문에 전략적으로 중요하다. 2005학년도 신입생 선발에는 고등학교 7차 교육과정을 이수한 지원자들이 지원하게 되므로 전형요소에 있어서 변화가 있다. 대학입학수학능력 시험의 체제는 수험생들이 영역이나 과목을 선택하여 응시하는 방향으로 변화한다. 즉, 수리 영역을 가형 및 나형으로 응시하고, 하나의 탐구영역을 응시하되 사회탐구영역 및 과학탐구영역은 4과목 이내에서 선택하여 응시한다. 또한 수학능력시험의 성적표는 각 영역별 및 과목별 표준점수, 백분위점수 및 등급을 표시하여 통지한다. 본 연구는 변화된 수학능력시험의 체제와 고등학교 교육과정을 어떠한 방법으로 반영하여 학생을 선발하는 것이 바람직한가에 대한 전략을 도출하는 틀을 제시하고, 각 전형요소 활용의 대안과 문제점을 도출하고자 한다. 2005 수능시험 결과는 표준점수로 통지하기 때문에 만점 개념을 적용하기 어렵고, 표준점수를 전형요소로 활용할 때 전형총점 개념을 도입하기 어렵다. 또한 복수영역 및 과목의 선택에서 유리함과 불리함이 나타나게 된다. 과거의 수능시험결과를 분석하여 전형총점개념 도입의 방법과 불리함을 보정하여 주는 방법을 제시하고, 신입생을 선발하는 목적에 적합한 전형요소 결정전략을 도출하고자 한다.2; Learning Decisions, 2001) 연구모형을 설정하고 이를 근거로 실증연구를 수행 중에 있다.7.2 $e^{0.101}$x/, y = 70.01 $e^{0.030}$x/, 반감기는 12.0, 6.86, 23.0 일이고 폐장, 간장, 신장의 회복기간(x)별 크롬농도(y)의 소실속도 상관계수 (노출농도 0.50 mg/㎥군의 경우)는 y = 1808 $e^{0.004}$93x/, y = 12.02 $e^{0.029}$7x/, y = 67.61 $e^{0.029}$2x/ 반감기는 140.6, 23.3, 23.7 일로 평가되었다. 4. 고찰 : 실험동물의 전혈, 혈청, 뇨에서의 크롬농도와 시험물질 노출농도는 밀접한 상관을 가졌으나 농도에 정비례하지는 않았다. 뇨 중 흡수된 크롬의 경우 회복기간 초기 (12시간 내)에 대부분 배설이 일어나는 것으로 나타났다. 폐장이 간장, 신장 등 다른 장기에 비해 높은 축적량을 보였으며 축적된 크롬농도가 높을수록 크롬의 소실속도는 현저히 저하하는 경향을 보였다. 노출농도가 높을수록 각 장기조직 내 크롬의 소실속도 (clearance)는 크게 감소경향이 있었으며 이는 체내 과부하시 자정작용이 감소하는 것으로 판단되었다. 본 연구 결과 SD rat를 이용 반복흡입노출의 경우 생체의 무유해영향농도 (NOAEL)는 0.2mg/㎥이하이며 발암물질을 감안하여 안전계수를 100으로 할 경우 사람에 대한 NOAEL은 0.002mg/㎥이하로 판단되

  • Currently, there are many problems due to the decline in school-age population. Moreover, Korea has the largest number of universities compared to the population, and the university enrollment rate is also the highest in the world. As a result, the minimum student retention rate required for the survival of each university is becoming increasingly important. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of reducing the number of graduates of education and the social climate that prioritizes employment. And to determine what the basic direction is for students to manage the student retention rate, which can be maintained from admission to graduation, to determine the optimal input variables, Based on the input parameters, we will make associative analysis using apriori algorithm to collect training data that is most suitable for maintenance rate management and make base data for development of the most efficient Deep Learning module based on it. The accuracy of Deep Learning was 75%, which is a measure of graduation using decision trees. In decision tree, factors that determine whether to graduate are graduated from general high school and students who are female and high in residence in urban area have high probability of graduation. As a result, the Deep Learning module developed rather than the decision tree was identified as a model for evaluating the graduation of students more efficiently.
