Object-based Stereoscopic Conversion From a Monoscopic Video (2차원 동영상으로부터 객체 기반의 3차원 입체 변환 기법)

  • 객체 기반의 3차원 입체 변환 기법은 연속적으로 입력되는 2D 동영상에서 객체를 추출하여 입체 영상으로 변환하는 기법을 말한다. 두 눈에 투시되는 각 객체마다 서로 다른 시차를 가져야 입체감을 느낄 수 있다. 따라서 2D 영상에서 정확한 객체를 추출하는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 프레임간의 차이를 이용하여 대략의 움직이는 객체 영역을 얻고, 그래프 및 알고리즘을 사용하여 정확하고 안정적인 객체를 자동으로 추출한다. 스크린과 양안 사이의 거리를 고려하여 입체 영상을 만들어 낸다. 후처리 단계에서는 입체 영상을 만들어 내면서 생긴 빈 공간을 채운다. 실험에서는 2D 영상으로부터 입체 영상을 생성한 것을 보여 준다.

  • Since success of in the box office, there are not only highly interested in 3D Stereoscopic in Media market but also has been briskly supporting for 3D Stereoscopic producing in variety platforms including film, broadcasting, mobile They expect 3D Stereoscopic will be a new standard format for media of domestic market as well as overseas. However there are required professional production system and grant capital for 3D Stereoscopic production. In case of domestic industry, there are not forged through specialized production system and lack of 3D Stereoscopic producing. They are needed not only Pipeline for 3D Stereoscopic production but also strategic supporting like specialized education and test-bed for 3D Stereoscopic production. It is able to established efficient and specialized system for 3D Stereoscopic production given the pipeline proposal.

  • Recently, it has shown an increased interest in 3D stereoscopic contents due to the development of the digital image media. Therefore, many techniques in 3D stereoscopic image generation have being researched and developed. However, it is difficult to generate high immersion and natural 3D stereoscopic contents, because the lack of 3D geometric information imposes restrictions in 2D image. In addition, control of the camera interval and rendering of the both eyes must be repetitively accomplished for the stereo effect being high. Therefore, we propose integrated editing system for 3D stereoscopic contents production using a variety of images. Then we generate 3D model from projective geometric information in single 2D image using image-based modeling method. And we offer real-time interactive 3D stereoscopic preview function for determining high immersion 3D stereo view. And then we generate intuitively 3D stereoscopic contents of high-quality through a stereoscopic LCD monitor and a polarizing filter glasses.

  • 3D 콘텐츠들은 과거 입체영화 '아바타' 이후로 꾸준히 증가하고 있다. 그리고 인터넷 등을 포함한 사이버 공간의 모든 환경이 제공자 위주에서 사용자 중으로 급격하게 변화하고 있는 상황이다. 이에 사용자들은 원하는 높은 현실감을 바탕으로 디지털 콘텐츠의 입체영상 서비스를 제공받기를 원한다. 그렇기에 3D 콘텐츠의 증가에 따른 Stereoscopic 기술의 필요성이 증대 되었다. 따라서 본 논문은 3차원 입체영상 기술의 기저 기술 중에 하나인 Anaglyph 영상을 연구하기로 하였다. 최종적으로 일반 영상 및 입체 사진을 이용한 스테레오 영상 변환 연구를 진행한다. 세부적으로는 입체 사진(Anaglyph)을 이용한 스테레오 영상 분할, 일반 영상을 이용한 스테레오 영상 편집 연구로 나누어 진행 하였다.

  • In the 21th century, audiences were fascinated with stereoscopic 3d in the theaters again. Since 2009, interest in stereoscopic 3D had been increased explosively, but shortfall in stereoscopic 3D contents is yet to be solved. However, despite shaky conditions in broadcasting businesses, stereoscopic 3D movies are released steadily in Hollywood. And the movies with strong storytelling are performing in the film market, so common point among them is that stereoscopic 3d techniques are used for subserving narrative immersion effectively. Therefore, stereoscopic 3D techniques will be helpful for enhancing narrative immersion. So I researched relations between immersion and stereoscopic 3D, and proposed space planning process for enhancing narrative immersion in stereoscopic 3D.

  • Stereoscopic technology can be regarded as core basis technology which is commonly requested in field of next generation stereoscopic multi media information communication. Realization of stereoscopic image in order to express natural images that are close to reality is a part that human constantly put effort, it first began with visual recognition system, went through stereo picture by using binocular disparity and were conducted as video clip stereoscopic age. Life is changing, a new culture is formed, there were technological development which realized imagination as reality based on expansion of IT industry and core trend, and there is 3D stereoscopic image technology in the center. We will look at technology development tendency and development strategy of 3D stereoscopic image in this essay, and will suggest efficient usage plan of 3D stereoscopic image technology for continuous market expansion.

  • In this paper, we propose a development methodology of interactive stereoscopic image display system. In our case, we consider a multiple touch recognition technique as the interaction method. That's because we want to guarantee multiple user access and interaction to the content without any restriction. In this case, however, some restrictions are occurred on account of the distance between display and participants. For this reason, this paper propose an invisible interaction surfaces which are generated in the air. This surface is utilized as interaction medium instead of the display wall. We also present an effective way to generate and edit interactive stereoscopic images based on Game Engine.

  • These days, as digital producing technique has been developed, 3D imaging technique is used in high-tech computer and T.V. Also study for 3D producing technique is actively in progress. Moreover, as James Cameron's movie, 'Avatar' released in 2009 was a box office hit, the issue about 3D image came to the fore again. At this point, I decided to study the effect of the visual depth caused by the color correction during the post-production stage. The purpose of this study is to offer information about processing effective images through data about the effect of the visual depth that applies the color correction during the post-production stage. Basically, I supposed that color and contract would have effects on depth of 3D image. As a result, I could find out the changes of visual depth, space perception and sense of depth throughout the experiment. Applying this result,, I produced the 15 minutes of 3D advertisement movie and I found out that the color correction during the post-production stage was very effective for 3D depth. The left image and the right image by beam splitter based rig and parallel rig were used for this study. Also I adjusted the strong contrast by the color correction during the post-production stage after correcting convergence and visual depth during editing. As a result, I could produce images which had strong sense of space and sense of depth.

  • 본 논문에서는 깊이맵을 활용하여 살아있는 객체 입체영상 구현을 제안한다. 살아있는 객체 입체영상은 입력영상에 있는 각 객체가 움직이도록 제작되어 2D영상의 시청에서 살아있는 객체들을 시청할 수 있다. 제안 시스템은 C언어를 기반으로 제작되었으며, 한 장의 영상이 주어지면 그래픽 툴을 이용하여 영상에 따른 배경영상, 마스크 영상, 배경 깊이맵 영상, 객체 깊이 맵영상 파일을 생성한다. 이렇게 제작된 입력영상, 마스크영상을 이용하여 각 객체를 이동, 회전, 확대/축소를 통해 결과적으로 살아있는 객체로 구현하며, 이에 따라 변환된 영상에 깊이맵영상을 이용하여 실감있는 입체영상으로 구현한다. 실험영상은 조선시대 화가인 신윤복의 단오풍정을 이용하여 2D 입체영상으로 구현하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 RF방식을 이용하여 제어 신호를 무선 LCD 셔터 고글로 전송하는 무선 입체 영상 재생 장치의 원리를 제안하고 설계 및 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 장치는 기존의 유선 장비에 비해 자유로운 이동성을 보장하고 다수의 사용자가 별도 추가장비 없이 입체 영상을 감상할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 입체 영상 지각 원리, 입체 영상 재생 모드, 제안한 입체 영상 재생 장치, 무선 LCD 셔터 고글 동작을 논하였다. 마지막으로 PC의 모니터를 통한 시각적 검증으로 제안한 무선 입체 영상 재생 장치의 성능평가를 수행하였다.
