The paper industry has experienced locational shifts in the continuous innovations in raw materials and process technology. Due to the different conditions of production according to various nations and regions, the structure and location of the paper industry has evolved. Therefore, case studies of individual nations and regions are significant in understanding the various developments in the paper industry. The present study focuses on the locational shift in the development process of the paper industry in Korea, and explains the conditions in the factors of production, market and government policies. Firstly, the study examines the changes in the structure of the Korean pulp and paper industry from the early twentieth century until today, the conditions for factors of production, the change in the raw materials, the Korean paper industry staring as a pulp manufacturing process-focused then into a paper manufacturing process-focused. Secondly, the study determines how the current paper industry considers raw materials and market in the location selection process. Finally, the study explains how the locational shifts in the paper industry progressed with the implementation of location regulations in the metropolitan area since the late 1970s.

This study aims to suggest the secure indicator of parks and green areas according to the properties of the location. There were 31 study areas where negotiation was finalized from 2001 to 2008. The location types were divided by land use type before development and the ratio of mountainous and constructed parks, the ratio of green change and so forth were analyzed according to the those types. As a result, location types were classified into mountainous type, arable land type, urban district type. In terms of locational property, even though the ratio of parks and green areas was the highest at 24.9% in arable land type, the ratio was not much different from the others. Mountainous type depends on the ratio of mountainous park with 10.5%, and arable land type, and urban district type has high ratio of constructed parks. And, the ratio of green change arable land type is degraded by 32.8% and the ratio of mountainous green change is serious in the mountainous type. As a result of the selection of negotiation indicator, arable land type is closely related to the ratio of parks and green areas and the ratio of green change; mountainous type, the ratio of park and green, the ratio of mountainous green change and the ratio of constructed park and green; urban district type, the ratio of green areas.

The technique of GIS has been used in diverse applications. This study analyzed with the use of GIS technique how the branch-banks of Taegu undergone locational changes. Locational changes of the branch-banks in a city have great significance in such disciplines as urban geography and urban planning. The location of the blanch-bank plays a major role in the urban study to represent the flow of layer-by and producer under the commodity economy and find spatially out the shift of the economy gravity of urban center. But there have difficulties in the difficulties research on locational changes of the branch-bank with traditional map overlay techniques. The technique of GIS allowed to overcome there difficulties beyond the limits of traditional research methods.

본 연구는 미국에서 boat공업의 중심지 중의 하나인 Seattle의 boat 공업의 입지와 그 변화를 고찰하므로서 소기업의 입지를 구명하려고 하였다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 Seattle에서 소규모 boat제조업체가 가장 많이 집중한 Washington호와 Shilshole 만간의 운하지역을 연구지역으로 선정하려 이 지역내에 입지하고 있는 boat 제조업체의 기업주와 interview한 결과를 기본자료로 이용하였다. 이상에서 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같았다. 연구지역의 소규모 boat 공업은 boat제조에 흥미와 능력을 가진 기업가들이 boat 공업에 유리한 Seattle의 환경의 영향을 받아 그들의 기업을 그들의 오랜 거주 지역에서 시작하므로서 발생하게 되었다. 그러나 담수를 지향하는 이 공업의 입지상의 특색, 원료공급처와 제품판매처의 위치, 주위의 지형 그리고 지방정부의 정책에 기인하여 이 공업은 Chittenden Locks와 Portage 만간의 운하지역에 그 입지가 국한되었다. 다시 이 지역내에서는 주위의 지형과 토지이용, 기업의 재정적인 능력 때문에 이 운하지역에 연해있는 기존공장 혹은 건물을 이용하여 입지하게 되었다. 입지후에 이 공업은 원료공급처와 제품판매처와의 강한 linkage를 형성하고 있다. 더구나 원료공급처의 희소성에 기인한 공간적 독점과 소비자 및 제품의 특성 때문에 연구지역의 대부분의 소규모 boat 제조업체는 바로 근처에 있는 원료공급처 및 소비자와 긴밀한 contact를 하고 있고 이러한 contact를 통하여 그들의 입지를 존속시키고 있다. 한편 Seattle 이 가지고 있는 boat 공업에 유리한 기업환경의 덕택으로 이들 소규모 boat 제조업체들은 수요의 계절적인 변동에서 초래되는 노동력의 공급 때문에 곤란을 받을 뿐 장기적인 불황에 직면한 적은 없다. 이리하여 이들 업체들은 이러한 계절적인 변동에 대처하기 위해 생산 input 의 조절, 주위의 기존공장이나 건물의 병합을 통한 연속적인 확장 혹은 그들의 action space 내에 있는 기존공장이나 건물을 이용한 이동등과 같은 입지변화를 보여왔을 뿐이다. 이리하여 연구지역의 소규모 boat공업은 Seattle의 경제 system 내의 주요 subsystem의 하나로서 활발히 움직이고 있다. 그러나 만약 기업의 외부환경에서 초래되는 stress, 즉 주민의 소득저하, 타 recreation 산업이 쇠퇴하게 되면 이 공업 또한 쇠퇴될 것이다. 요컨대 담수 지향성과 관련된 입지상의 특색을 제외하고는 연구지역의 소규모 boat 공업은 타 소규모 공업과 동일한 입지상의 특색을 가지고 있다.

본 연구에서는 소매업 변동에 관한 제 이론 검토와 입지 이론에서는 수요이론과 공급 이론에 대하여 두 이론이 부분적 적정성을 갖는 한편 양 이론이 동시적 고찰하지 못함에 따라 소매업태 입지 관련 적용에는 한계가 있다는 점을 지적하였다. 체인오퍼레이션의 의사결정 프로세스 분석을 통하여 새로운 체인 입지와 관련 문제점으로 공간 경쟁 효과와 시스템에 대한 매력효과를 검토하여 장단점을 복합적으로 반영하여 신규 출점 입지 의사결정을 하여야 한다는 것이다. 기존 선진 소매기업의 의사결정 기법을 통하여 국내 기업의 입지 의사결정에 기초 자료로 제공하고 실증 연구로서는 포화기 단계에 들어선 한국 할인점 시장(인천지역 T사의 기 출점)을 대상으로 의사결정단계의 일반 기준과 세부 기준을 제시를 통하여 AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) 계층 분석 방법으로 중요도를 평가하였다.

In the recent years the office sector or industry are recognized not only as a key economic activity and employment source in urban areas, but also as a factor for the changing urban spatial structure. This paper aims to review the research trends and future prospects on the office locations. The study starts with a survey of literatures by summarizing the most important previous studies on the office location research and by disclosing research deficits. And then general locational trends of office activities on the base on the different geographical scale and its current location dynamics including the influencing factors are discussed. Finally this study summarizes the outlooks on the future task within office location research.

본연구의 목적은 경부고속철도역의 입지가 도시간 인구분포와 도시경제에 미치는 영향을 분석하 는 데 있다. 인구분포 결정식의 추정결과를 토대로 하여 고속철도의 건설에 따른 도시시스템의 변화를 살펴보면 대도시내 인구분산화가 이루어지면서 대도시와 중소도시간 인구불균등은 심화될것으로 예상된 다. 고속철도의 역사가 입지하는 도시의 경제활동이 증가한 점을 감안하면, 향후, 서울 , 대구, 부산등의 도시경제 수준은 상대적으로 열악해 지고 천안과 대전은 고속철동역 유치로 인하여 도시성장 기반을 구 축할 수 있을 것이다. 지역개발차원에서 수도권 남부지역에 고속철도역을 입지시켜 서울의 중추기능을 분산시킬 필요가 있다. 고속철도 개발을 통해서 수도권 남부지역을 중심으로 도시권이 형성되어 수도권 내 2대 공간체계가 개발된다면 서울도시권에 대한 기존의 개발압력을 줄이면서 수도권내 남부도시권은 천안 및 대전과 연계되어 광역적인 개발이 가능할 것이다.

The locational characteristics of ceramic industry in Miryang city, Kyongnam province, were clarified by means of examining the process of its formation, spatial variation, locations and their changes. The government policy on industry and the business fluctuation are important in the quantitative changes of the industry. The spatial variation of industry toward the outer part of area are the results of equilibrium between the decrease of firms in inner city and the increase of firms in outer part. The births and deaths of firms played important role in the processes of spatial variations. The industry location has lasted by the accumulation of location decision of 'potential entrepreneurs' who learned knowledges on the industry and had personal contacts with the business-related persons for long time. The main factors on the locational decision of firms are personal factor, raw materials, land, water and market. The locational problems have mainly related with plant expansion, land, marketing, labour and capital. They caused investment changes and caused relocations of firms. Such disadvantages as raw material exhaustion, shortage of land and congestion within the agglomeration area, development of road transportation and local government policy on industry location, induced recent decentralization of industry to outer part.
