  • The purpose of this study is to understand the difference in nursing process competence, critical thinking disposition, and SBAR technique knowledge of nursing students according to practical methods. The subjects of the study were 20 students who participated in clinical practice and 18 students who participated in alternative clinical practicum. The collected data were analyzed by t-test, Mann-Whitney U-test, and Kruskal Wallis test. As a result of the study, there was no significant difference between nursing students' nursing process competence, critical thinking disposition, SBAR utilization ability, and perception of use depending on clinical practice and alternative clinical practicum. In clinical practice, nursing process competence and SBAR technical knowledge were significantly higher when college life satisfaction was high. In in-school practice, which is an alternative clinical practicum, critical thinking disposition and SBAR technical knowledge were high when nursing major satisfaction was high, and critical thinking disposition was high when grade were high. In preparation for future pandemic situations, a systematic clinical alternative practicum education plan should be prepared to improve nursing process competence, critical thinking tendency, and SBAR technique knowledge.

  • The purpose of this study is to inquire into the effect on the coping with stress by the knowledge of Emerging infectious disease, clinical practice stress. A research was held to the nursing students living in Seoul and Chungbuk from September 10 to October 10, 2022, 259copies of the data were used for the final analysis, Pearson's correlation coefficient and Multiple linear regressions was used. As a result of the study, there was a positive correlation between clinical practice stress due to burden of work, practice education environment stress, and active coping with stress. Clinical practice stress due to interpersonal conflicts, conflicts with patients, burden of work, and undesirable role models was positively correlated with passive coping with stress. Satisfaction of clinical practice, practical educational environment stress and gender accounted for 15.0% of the total variance in the active stress coping, and burden of work accounted for 7% of the total variance in the passive stress coping. Consequently, this study could be suggested as a basis for counseling and developing practical education program for active coping with stress.

Data collection in the fourth grade and P University Nursing 72 peoples, the study period is from November 15 from October 14, 2019. As a result, the experimental group that applied team-based learning using pre-briefing showed higher self-efficacy, simulation practice satisfaction, and clinical performance than the control group. Therefore, applying team-based learning to the pre-briefing process can be an important learning strategy for simulation practice training, and suggests a follow-up study to confirm the effectiveness by standardizing the pre-briefing step later.

  • This study was conducted to confirm the differences in nursing process competence, critical thinking disposition, and education satisfaction between clinical practicum and school practicum in the prolonged COVID19 pandemic. As an inequality control post-hoc design study, 55 students who agreed to participate in the study among the third year of nursing college students who took adult nursing practice were targeted. Data were collected by classifying the students who participated in the school practicum into the experimental group(N=29) and the students who participated in the clinical practicum into the control group(N=26). The collected data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. As a result of the study, there was no significant difference in nursing process competence and critical thinking disposition between the two groups. However, in the control group, overall satisfaction with education (t=-9.82, p=.040) and recommendations to other students (t=-1.88, p<.001) were found to be significantly higher. Although it was not possible to confirm the difference between the effects of clinical practicum and school practicum as a result of the study, the significance of the study could be found in that there was no difference. In line with the post-corona era, future research on the development of a practicum program consisting of various contents, teaching methods, and practice to achieve the goal of practicum and analysis of the effectiveness of the program is suggested.

A longitudinal survey was used to measure the changes on the scores of clinical competency, clinical confidence, critical thinking and problem solving ability of students(N=77) who had experienced simulation in the clinical practicum curricula throughout their junior and senior years. Variables were measured 4 times, at the beginning and the end of each year, and data were analyzed using repeated measures of ANOVAs. Clinical competency score in senior year improved significantly(t=-13.75, p<.001) whereas no significant changes in junior year. Clinical confidence and critical thinking disposition over 2 years showed significant increases(F=177.86, p<.001; F=247.79, p<.001, respectively). Problem solving ability increased throughout the junior and senior years, however, it did not make a significant difference at any point of measures.
