Development of the Workplace Spirituality Belief Scale for Prospective Early Childhood Teacher (예비유아교사의 일터영성신념 척도 개발)

  • The aim of the study was to develop the scale for measuring prospective teacher's belief on workplace spirituality. The researchers revised the 'Workplace Spirituality Scale for Early Childhood Teacher (Lim, 2014)' into the draft of 'Workplace Spirituality Belief for Prospective Early Childhood Teacher (WSBS_PECT)' and then validated the draft of WSBS_PECT statistically. The data were collected from 664 prospective teachers participating 5 early childhood teacher programs. EFA, CFA, Correlations and some statistical methods were carried out for testing validity and reliability of the scale. As a result, the WSBS_PECT with 21 items of 4 factors - i.e. 'awareness of meaning of life', 'belief on calling for ECE teacher job', 'belief on relationships in community', and 'belief on membership in community'- was developed and identified as a available measurement for prospective childhood teachers.

The Influences of Workplace Spirituality and Emotional Intelligence on the Organizational Citizenship Behavior for Clinical Nurses (임상간호사의 일터영성과 감성지능이 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives : This study was done to identify the influences of workplace spirituality and emotional intelligence on the organizational citizenship behavior of clinical nurses. Methods : The subjects were 230 clinical nurses, working over 6 months in four general hospitals in three cities. Data were obtained from March 20 to March 30, 2016, with a self-report questionnaire, and analyzed using the IBM SPSS 21.0 program. Results : The factors related to the organizational citizenship behavior of nurses were workplace spirituality(${\beta}$=.36), emotional intelligence(${\beta}$=.29), 40 years of age or higher(${\beta}$=.26), working in a special ward(${\beta}$=.11), and turnover intention(${\beta}$=.10). These variables explained 61.6% of the variance in organizational citizenship behavior of nurses. Conclusions : In order to improve the quality of nursing services and business performance in hospital organizations, it is necessary to enhance workplace spirituality and emotional intelligence. This would lead to promoting organizational citizenship behavior through the development and application of intervention programs from a nursing organization perspective.

  • 변혁적 리더십이 비전제시, 동기부여 등으로 부하 직원의 심리상태에 영향을 주고 변화를 유도한다는 점에서, 조직구성원의 긍정심리자본에 유의한 영향을 미친다는 연구결과(Lyttle, 2007; 이동섭 최용득, 2009)가 최근 발표된 바 있다. 또한 리더의 유머사용이 직원에게 긍정적인 마음과 동기를 심어줌으로써 긍정심리자본형성에 중요요인이라는 연구결과(Lyttle, 2007)처럼, 인재중시의 측면에서 재미있고 훌륭한 일터의 구현을 제공 및 기여하는 리더의 유머 경영에 대한 관심은 지속적으로 높아지고 있는 추세이다(Avolio, Howell, & Sosik, 1999). 본 연구는 리더의 변혁적 리더십과 유머사용이 긍정심리자본을 매개변수로 하여 부하의 혁신성향, 직무 만족, 조직시민행동에 유의한 영향을 미치는지에 대하여 국내중소제조업을 대상으로 검증하고 최종적으로 대안모형을 탐색하였다. 근로자 272명을 대상으로 실증 분석한 결과, 모든 가설에서 유의한 결과가 나타났으며 또한 변혁적 리더십은 직무만족과 조직시민행동에 직접적으로 정(+)의 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 국내 중소기업의 경우 리더가 리더십 발현과 유머사용으로 부하 직원의 동기를 부여하고 긴장을 완화시켜주는 등 긍정적이고 낙관적인 심리형성에 기여함으로써 혁신성향, 직무만족, 조직시민행동에 영향을 준다는 것을 보여준다.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how the interface between "place of work" and "place of living" in the housing sphere has changed, and to understand its social background. During the korean modernization period, changes in economic structure toward industry has an influence on many aspects of modem life in addition to occupations. The traditional mixing of heterogeneous activities in the home-such as between reproduction and household affairs, first changed into a coexistence of two spaces with different functions within the boundaries of home, and finally into a spatial separation between functions in an urban dimension. As a result of this process, the primary role of the modem home is as a place for relaxation without work. One important kind of home, in which a retail shop is integrated with it, was researched as a transitional form. Its spatial layout showed a various combined usage of both spaces. In conclusion, changes in relevant macro-social aspects are very concretely reflected m the function and spatial organization of the home.

Structural Relations of Learning Orientation, Self-Efficacy, Learning Transfer and Job Performance of Farmers who Participated in the Strong and Small Farms Education (강소농교육 참여 농업인의 직무성과와 학습지향성, 자기효능감, 학습전이의 구조적 관계)

  • The purposes of this study are to explain and identify the frame of structural relations of learning orientation, self-efficacy, learning transfer and job performance of farmers who participated in the strong and small farms education. This is an experimental research with the data collected from 495 farmers who have taken the farm education. Based on the collected data, the study conducted a structural equation modeling(SEM) to confirm the validity and analyze the structural relations of the suggested model. Using measured and latent variables drew from the analyses, the study set a structural equation model and tested the model by analysis of the structural equation modeling with AMOS 18.0. The results found from the empirical analysis can be summarized as follows. 1) Learning orientation and self-efficacy positively influenced job performance through learning transfer. 2) The hypothesis that learning orientation would have direct impact on job performance was not supported. 3) The strong and small farms education is useful to expand learning transfer and to enhance job performance. So, government policy support has to reinforce learning support on farmers in order to achieve high performance of learning and job management through farm educations.

  • The change of job environments with information technologies demands workers' capabilities to adapt rapidly changing and variety of work environments. To cope with this situation, many countries and institutions propose 'basic vocational competency' which is focused on basic capabilities of workers. And also, they do research on how to educate and train students to be prepared for new environments. We surveyed with teachers of computer technology which is one of the information technologies, to find out the competency development level, they expressed negative view on general competency development because of current computer education's focusing on 'using computers to process information'. Therefore, we intended to analyze the necessity and problem of developing the whole basic vocational competency in vocational high school and proposed a 'in context' learning for it.

Validation of the Workplace Spirituality Belief Scale for Prospective Early Childhood Teacher : Discrimination of WSBS_PECT on Happiness and Career Maturity (예비유아교사의 일터영성신념 척도(WSBS_PECT)의 타당화 : 행복감과 진로성숙도에 대한 판별력)

  • This study was to validate the WSBS_PECT (Workplace Spirituality Belief Scale for Prospective Early Childhood Teacher) using discriminant analysis on prospective early childhood teachers' happiness and career maturity. The data from 523 prospective early childhood teachers were analyzed statistically through t-test and binary logistic regression model. The results indicated that 1) the higher group in workplace spirituality belief significantly gets more scores of happiness and career maturity than the lower group, 2) 1 factors of the WSBS_PECT has discriminant power on prospective early childhood teachers' happiness, and 3) 2 factors ('meaning for life' and 'belief on calling for ECE teacher job') of the WSBS_PECT are effective to discriminate prospective early childhood teachers' career maturity. Further statistical works are supplementary needed to validate the WSBS_PECT and to increase its' feasibility.

The Effect of Family Support, Social Support and Workplace Spirituality of Quality of Life on Middle Aged-male (중년기 남성의 가족지지, 사회적지지 및 일터 영성이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose. The purpose of this study was to examine the related factors of quality of life (QOL) among middle-aged male. Method. The participants in this study were 144 middle aged male. Between October and November 2016, data were collected through questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using PASW (SPSS) 21.0 program, and one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. Results. The mean QOL of this study was 2.99/5. The significant correlates of QOL were family support (${\beta}=.21$, p=.024), health status (${\beta}=.24$, p=.003), workplace spirituality ${\beta}=.55$, p<.001), and these variables explained 55.9% of variance in QOL. Conclusion. The study suggests that family support workplace spirituality are an important factors in explaining QOL of the middle-aged male. Therefore, it is necessary to be considered family support and workplace spirituality for promoting life satisfaction of middle-aged male.

  • Over the past 20 years, brain science has developed rapidly thanks to new technologies such as functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), leading to more accurate knowledge of human nature and behavioral changes. This knowledge is also actively applied in the field of management. This research aimed to gain insights into how neuroscience can be incorporated into management through the case of Midas IT Co. This construction software company has a separate organization with the purpose of studying brain science, and it makes and implements human resource management policies based on brain science. The founder Lee Hyung-woo has a humanist management philosophy, and the company's brain science research supports that philosophy. The case study method was adopted as the research method, and procedures such as interviews and direct observation, participation observation, and document information were carried out. The company's human resource management system can be explained by a brain science model called "SCARF", which combines various neuroscience discoveries. As this model suggests, the company has improved the trust and satisfaction of its members by reducing threat of status and by increasing certainty, autonomy, relationship, and fairness in the workplace, resulting in the creation of a platform for creativity, integrity, and high performance.

The Changes of Social Spatiality in Rural Areas: Focusing on Population Structure and Utilization of Territorial Assets in Gyeongnam Provincial Villages (촌락 지역의 사회적 중간성 변화 -경상남도 촌락의 인구 구조와 영역 자산 활용을 중심으로-)

  • This paper aims to explain the changes of social spatiality in rural areas as seen on a sloping scale in reference of population structure and utilization of territorial assets. Guessing from the population characteristics of rural communities and farming activities in Hwangsan village of Uichon-Myeon, Geochang-Gun and Hanam village of Chogye-Myeon, Hapchon-Gun, it will become a society characterized by super-aged intensification and large-scale crop cultivation. Deokgok-Myeon and Yulji village of Hapchon-Gun are required to intake outside residents. They have to understand the complementary cooperation and become conscious of the relationship between existing residents and relocated people in Yudong village of Yokji-Myeon, Tonyoung-Si. Due to a decreasing population and the phenomena of the 'super-aged', the efforts to revive the spatial function as a living and working space while utilizing territorial assets could be challenged in these case study regions.
