Present Status of Hydrogen Refueling Station in KIER (KIER 수소충전소 구축 현황)

  • 수소의 소규모 분산 생산 기술은 본격 적 인 수소 인프라가 도입되기 전에 연료전지 자동차의 수소 충전용이나 분산 발전형 연료전지의 수소 공급을 위해 필요하다. 생산 용량은 수소 기준으로 $20{\sim}100 Nm^3/hr$ 정도로 현재로선 천연가스의 수증기 개 질법이 가장 경제적인 공정으로 알려져 있다. 소규모 생산에 따른 열효율 저하를 줄이 기 위해 단위 공정들이 통합된 컴팩트 개질 시스템의 개발이 필요하다. 연료전지 자동차용 수소 인프라 조기 구축을 위하여 수소충전소 구축과 국산화 천연가스 수증기 개질기 개발을 병행하여 진행하였다. 수소 충전소 구축 부분은 충전소 부지 확보, 건물 건축, 각종 유틸리 티 설치의 토목 부분과 천연가스 개질형 수소 제조 유닛 설치, 수소 압축, 저장, 디스펜싱 시스템 설치를 포함하고 있으며 고압 설비에 대한 인허가 대응 및 안전대책 작업도 진행하였다. 구축된 수소충전소는 향후 연료전지 자동차 연계 실증 프로그램에 활용할 수 있다. 국산화 핵심 기술 개발을 위하여 열 및 시스템 통합 설계에 의 해 천연가스 수증기 개질기를 제작하고 내부 열교환 구조에 따른 개질기의 성능을 평가하였다. 개발된 개질기는 개질온도 $720^{\circ}C$, 수증기 대 카본 비 2.7의 운전조건에서 $23Nm^3/h$ 이상의 수소 생산이 가능하였으며 73% 이상의 개질 효율을 나타내었다. 개발된 천연가스 수증기 개질기는 향후 수소 정제용 PSA(Pressure Swing Adsorption) 시스템과 연계하여 수소충전소 국산화 엔지니어링 설계 패키지 개발의 핵심 기 술로 사용할 계획이다.시간 정도 운전한 후 시스템을 정지하였다 메탄 전환율과 일산화 탄소 농도, 열효율을 모니터링 하고 있으며, 현재까지 초기 성능을 그대로 유지하고 있다. 앞으로 일일시동-정지 운전 시험을 지속하면서 초기 시동 특성 및 부하 변동에 따른 응답 특성 개선, 그리고 연료전지와의 연계 운전을 실시할 예정이다 한다. 단위 전지 운전 온도 $130^{\circ}C$, 상대습도 37%의 운전 조건에서도 상당히 우수한 전지 성능을 보임에 따라 고온/저가습 조건에서 상용 Nafion 112 막보다 우수한 막 특성을 나타냄을 확인하였다.소/배후방사능비는 각각 $2.18{\pm}0.03,\;2.56{\pm}0.11,\;3.08{\pm}0.18,\;3.77{\pm}0.17,\;4.70{\pm}0.45$ 그리고 $5.59{\pm}0.40$이었고, $^{67}Ga$-citrate의 경우 2시간, 24시간, 48시간에 $3.06{\pm}0.84,\;4.12{\pm}0.54\;4.55{\pm}0.74 $이었다. 결론 : Transferrin에 $^{99m}Tc$을 이용한 방사성표지가 성공적으로 이루어졌고, $^{99m}Tc$-transferrin의 표지효율은 8시간까지 95% 이상의 안정된 방사성표지효율을 보였다. $^{99m}Tc$-transferrin을 이용한 감염영상을 성공적으로 얻을 수 있었으며, $^{67}Ga$-citrate 영상과 비교하여 더 빠른 시간 안에 우수한 영상을 얻을 수 있었다. 그러므로 $^{

  • Mines are an important infrastructure for securing resources, but safety problems can arise in the course of operation. Recently, the mining process is very complicated due to the large scale and mechanization. Therefore, it is necessary to construct accurate geospatial information on mine for systematic and safe mine operation. The geospatial information construction using the existing total station has a disadvantage that a lot of work time is required because the target must be collimated and measured. In this study, the data of the mines were acquired with the total station and the 3D laser scanner, and the mine spatial information was constructed by using the shape based registration method. By using the static scanner data of some area applying the reference point surveying result of the total station, it was possible to construct the accurate result on the wide area acquired by the mobile scanner effectively. Also, the accuracy of the constructed geospatial information was evaluated and the deviation of mean 0.083m was shown. Point cloud products constructed through the research can contribute to the efficiency improvement of mine management by enabling quantitative analysis such as visualization of mine shape, distance, area and slope, and automation of drawing creation for cross section shape.

  • On-site Algae Collecting System (OACS) is one of urgent countermeasures to clean the raw water when the algae blooms severely. Rapid reaction capability, high efficiency and large capacity are required when applying OACS to large water areas. The total performance of OACS are always determined by unit process named Flotation, Trapping and Collection. The working efficiency and daily treatment quantity of OACS can be increased when it runs automatically. As the rapid development of OACS technology, in the first place, equipment are miniaturized and simple. And in the second place, automation process from Trapping to Collection are advanced. So, They produce results higher working efficiency, smaller residual sludge on treated water, system's advanced environmental friendly features and the increased amount of sludge by Collection process to achieve large capacity. Now OACS has overcome the algae multiplication rate to ensured the amount of removal algae. In another aspect, it is high economically feasible because of reducing operation cost against the large capacity.

Time-Space Analysis of Road Traffic Flows in Seoul (서울시 도로교통흐름에 대한 시.공간적 분석)

  • This study investigates the time-space characteristics of the road traffic flows in Seoul and the relationship with land use patterns. For the purpose, we analyze the road traffic data collected at 118 observation sites over Seoul City area since 1993. We examine the time-trend of the annual average traffic flows per day during the last fourteen years. Three different trends are revealed: rapid increase during the time period between 1993 and 1997, maintenance same level after sharp decrease between year 1997 and 1998, and gradual decrease after sharp decrease between year 2003 and 2004. The spatial distribution patterns of road traffic flows have also been changed significantly during the period. The traffic flows in the urban center have been declined gradually, while the traffic flows in the boundary area and southern CBDs have increased dramatically. In order to examine the relationship with the changes in the land-use patterns and road traffic flows, we analyze the changes in the spatial distribution patterns of population and industries. We developed three multiple linear regression models to test the relationships between the changes in the land-use variables and road traffic flows.

Consideration about Ozone Generation in the Treatment Room While Treating a Patient (방사선 치료 시 치료실 내에서 발생하는 오존에 관한 고찰)

  • Purpose: Measure the ozone level in the treatment room while treating a patient so want to know the degree of contamination caused by ozone occurrence. Materials and Methods: Use the linear accelerator (Clinac 21EX, Varian, USA) with the ozone meter (series-200, aeroQual, New Zealand) and water phantom (Wellhofer, IBA, Germany) is irradiated the radiation so that measured the ozone generation level according to MU, dose-rate, SSD, field size, energy, delay time and put the ozone meter in the treatment room actually while treating a patient so measured the daily ozone level variation. Results: While irradiating the radiation, degree of ozone contamination wasn't affected by the energy but mostly in case of electron beam, ozone level was higher than photon beam. The higher dose-rate (0.016~0.025 ppm/hr), the farther SSD (0.018~0.030 ppm/hr), the wider field sizes (0.016~0.025 ppm/hr), the more MU (0.018~0.046 ppm/hr), it occurred high ozone level. Ozone decrement according to delay time changed the background level (0.016 ppm/hr) after elapsed time of 10 minutes from irradiating radiation. And daily ozone occurrence level in the treatment room was below ozone standard level 0.1 ppm/hr (average:0.06 ppm/8 hr) but it could confirm that ozone generation level was included the level (max:0.038 ppm/hr) above 0.02 ppm/hr which patient could perceive. Conclusion: Through ozone level according to variation of certain conditions, actually in the treatment room ozone generation level didn't damaged to patients or workers. Commonly peoples think that ozone was harmful gas but it thought that small amount of ozone generation level while treating a patient was beneficial in the treatment room through air purge action of pathogenic germ or virus sterilization.

  • A few studies have shown that the function of fusiform face area is selectively involved in the perception of faces including a race difference. We investigated the neural substrates of the face-selective region called fusiform face area in the ventral occipital-temporal cortex and same-race memory superiority in the fusiform face area by the event-related fMRI. In our fMRI study, subjects (Oriental-Korean) performed the implicit distinction of the race while they consciously made familiar-judgments, regardless of whether they considered a face as Oriental-Korean or European-American. For race distinction as an implicit task, the fusiform face areas (FFA) and the right parahippocampal gyrus had a greater response to the presentation of Oriental-Korean faces than for the European-American faces, but in the conscious race distinction between Oriental-Korean and European-American faces, there was no significant difference observed in the FFA. These results suggest that different activation in the fusiform regions and right parahippocampal gyrus resulting from superiority of same-race memory could have implicitly taken place by the physiological processes of face recognition.

Identification of soil Remedial Goal due to Arsenic in Soil near Abandoned Mine- Approach to Regarding Future Land Use - (폐광산 지역의 비소오염에 대한 복원목표 설정 - 미래 토지용도를 고려한 접근방법 -)

  • Recently, It is increasing popularity to research on the soil remediation in aspect of management by reason of the hazardous impact on the contaminated soil in Korea. It was investigated high levels of arsenic salts in soil near abandoned five mines(Darak, Daduk, Jingok, Dalsung, Ilkwang) located in Youngnam area. Arsenic, classified as group A(Human Carcinogens) from IRIS, have shown statistically significant increment in skin cancer with oral exposure. This paper was conducted to predict excess cancer risk value (to the skin cancer) based on multiple pathway such as soil ingestion, dermal uptake and food(plant) ingestion contaminated by arsenic, and also, to identify the remedial goal regarded in future land use. The mine having the highest arsenic level was Daduk(mean : 1950mg/kg) and the next rank was Jingok(1690mg/kg), Ilkwang(352.37mg/kg), Dalsung(86.08mg/kg), Darak(0.83mg/kg). The chronic daily intake to the multiple exposure were calculated using Monte-Carlo simulation regarded in future land use and used q: value was $1.5(mg/kg/day)^{-1}$ to the oral proposed by IRIS(1997). The computated excess cancer risk 95th value to all the mine regarding future land use as residential and rural area were more than $10^{-4}$. If the level of acceptable risk is aimed for 1$\times$$10^{-6}$, it could be used Darak as commercial and industrial area without soil remediation due to the lowest risk value(6$\times$$10^{-8}$ and 3$\times$$10^{-8}$). Computated remedial goal based on 1$\times$$10^{-6}$ of acceptable risk to the future land use as the residential, rural, commercial and industrial area were 0.02mg/kg, 0.003mg/kg, 97.31mg/kg and 194.62mg/kg, respectively.

  • The automobiles in Korea have approximately 60 years of history and this is relatively short compared to advanced countries. However, considering the traffic accident rate or severity related to automobiles, various efforts are required to reduce traffic accidents. Various problems caused by traffic accidents are not only related to individual damages but also have become social problems. In order to resolve this, it is important to analyze the cause of traffic accidents. This study aims to suggest methods to reduce traffic accidents by analyzing driving behavior, which is one of the reasons for a number of traffic accidents that were collected through traffic accident videos reported using DVRs (Driving Video Recorder) and were aired to the public via a SBS TV program for the past two years and four months. In particular, unlike other existing studies that aim at analyzing the causes of traffic accidents simply using data, this study constructed a database by analyzing every single DVR that stores the situation before and after the accident using relatively high-resolution video information to provide practical plans to reduce traffic accidents through statistical analysis.

A Comparative Study on Government Policy for Animation Industry between Korea and China (한국과 중국의 문화콘텐츠 산업정책 비교 : 애니메이션 산업정책을 중심으로)

  • The animation industries of Korea and China shares the effort for transition from work-for-hire Industry Into creative industry. In spite of similar industry background and characteristics, and the aggressive government policy to support this industry transition at the same point of time, the current status of animation industries in Korea and China are showing very different statistics as of the end of 2007. The production amount of Chinese original animation has grown rapidly since 2004, which has made China the top class country in the world in original animation production amount, and more than 600 million audience of Chinese TV animation has firmly established the Chinese domestic animation market basis. On the other hand, despite the Korean government support, original animation production of Korea has been showing a slow and sluggish growth, and Korean animations are losing the domestic market basis with only 1% TV ratings due to unfavourable Korean TV stations' programming practices against Korean animations. This different status of animation Industries of two countries are the result of different government policies and the fallacy of Korean government. While the Chinese government has focused its industry policy on the facilitating the domestic market by establishing the stable broadcasting TV distribution and encouraging the animation production through organic cooperation between related government agencies, Korean government spent lots of effort into facilitating the development of original animation projects, without cooperative structure In the government, and without sincere consideration on the importance of establishment of domestic market consumer basis.

Digital Map Updates with UAV Photogrammetric Methods (무인항공사진측량 방법에 의한 수치지도 갱신)

  • Currently, Korea's digital maps are being produced through traditional aerial photogrammetry methods. Aerial photogrammetry is the most economical way to produce a map of a wide area. However, timely survey is not allowed depends on weather condition and it is inefficient for small area surveying in economic point of view. Therefore, it costs too much and needs long time to produce a map for various small areas where are terrestrial changes for updating the map. In contrast, UAV photogrammetry is possible to work even in cloudy weather because of shooting at low altitude below the clouds. It also has excellent mobility and shoot quickly and well suited for small-scale mapping in several places by low cost. In this study, we produced an ortho-photo and digital map with the UAV photogrammetry method using SIFT and SfM algorithm and verified its accuracy to evaluate the applicability for future digital map updates. The accuracy was verified by comparing the results of the ground survey for check points selected on the digital map. Test results show small errors at ±2.6cm in X coordinates, ±2.8cm in Y coordinates and ±5.8cm in height and we could find a possibility that UAV photogrammetry would be fully applicable for digital map updating.
