Objective : The aim of this study was to identify subgroups of older adults with respect to their lifestyle patterns and examine the characteristics of each subgroup in order to provide a basic evidence for improving the health and quality of life. Methods : This cross-sectional study was conducted in South Korea. Community-dwelling older adults (n=184) above the age of 65 years were surveyed from April 2019 to May 2019. This study used latent profile analysis to examine the subgroups. Chi-squared (χ2) and multinomial logistic regression measures were then used to analyze individual characteristics and influencing factors. Results : The pattern of physical activity which is one of the lifestyle domains in elderly was categorized into three types: 'passive exercise type (31.1%)', 'low intensity exercise type (54.5%)', and 'balanced exercise type(14.5%)'. Activity participation was divided into three patterns: 'inactive type (12%)', 'self-management type (61%)', and 'balanced activity participation type (27%)'. In terms of nutrition, there were only two groups: 'overall malnutrition type (13.5%)' and 'balanced nutrition type (86.5%)'. Furthermore, as a result of the multinomial logistic regression analysis to understand the effects of lifestyle types on the health and quality of life of the elderly, it was confirmed that the health and quality of life were higher in those following an active and balanced lifestyle. In addition, gender, education level and residential area were analyzed as predictive factors. Conclusion : The health and quality of life of the elderly can be improved when they have balanced lifestyle. Therefore, an empirical and policy intervention strategy should be developed and implemented to enhance the health and quality of life of the elderly.

The study aimed to evaluate an activity-oriented extracurricular science program as informal science education through the assessment of opinions of student participants and lead-students and lead-teachers who organized the program. An 'Exciting Science Fair' was designed by science teachers and students and provided for 857 students for two days in early 1998. Students chose a course of science activities designed by different levels of student knowledge and interests. During their own science activity courses, the participating students were grouped as pair of two students and guided and facilitated by lead-students. A survey instrument was developed by researchers and asked respondents' opinions of 121 participating students, 72 lead-students, and 19 lead-teachers to the significance of program goals, degree of goal achievement, and program planning and management system before and after the program. It was found that most student participants, lead-students and lead-teachers satisfied with the efficiency of the program. However, it was recommended that the program should place more emphases on engaging student participants in science activities, strengthening scientific inquiry through activities, and increasing science content related to student daily life. It was also suggested that advertizement of the program be publicized in advance through media, an effect teaching-learning strategy for lead-students be developed, and collaboration among lead-students and lead-teachers be improved.

The goal of this study is to predict sexual violence crimes, which is an routine risk. The study used to the Weight of Evidence on sexual violence crimes that occurred in partly Cheongju-si for five years from 2011 to 2015. The results are as follows. First, application and analysis of the Weight of Evidence that considers the weight of evidence characteristics showed 8 out of total 26 evidences that are used for a sexual violence crimes risk prediction. The evidences were residential area, date of use permission for building, individual housing price, floor area ratio, number of basement floor, lot area, security light and recreational facility; which satisfied credibility in the process of calculating weight. Second, The weight calculated 8 evidences were combined to create the prediction map in the end. The map showed that 16.5% of sexual violence crimes probability occurs in 0.3㎢, which is 3.3% of the map. The area of probability of 34.5% is 1.8㎢, which is 19.0% of the map and the area of probability of 75.5% is 2.0㎢, which is 20.7% of the map. This study derived the probability of occurrence of sexual violence crime risk and environmental factors or conditions that could reduce it. Such results could be used as basic data for devising preemptive measures to minimize sexual violence, such as police activities to prevent crimes.

The purpose of this study was to collect information for the improvement of sewing practice classes and to draw implications by carrying out an investigation into the perception and needs of 185 students in the first grade of high school for sewing practice classes. The results of the study are as follows. First, most of the students perceived that the instructional objectives of the practicum as the utilization in everyday life. The students' perception of the class was moderately positive. In terms of the subfactors, the participation level appeared to be the highest while the comprehension level was the lowest. Also, the utilization level showed the greatest difference between male and female students. The results suggest that female students were more positive in their perception of the class than the male students because of the significant difference in the subfactors of class perception, excluding utility and teaching learning method satisfaction. Second, it appeared that the students were likely to use these skills in everyday life as a result of the sewing practice classes. In terms of the practice content, students preferred working individually in terms of organizing their own projects, making their own selections, and freely deciding the size of their products. This study demonstrated that the students preferred teacher-centered classes when acquiring skills and knowledge and student-centered classes when brainstorming and performing the teacher's role. In terms of instructional management, the students preferred four to six 50-minute long lessons per semester and no group work involved.
This study empirically examines motivations of entering college of education and academic problems that pre-service teachers encounter under the curricular activities. We analyze the phenomena of professional development under the four categories: motivation toward entering college of education, pedagogical content knowledge, subject matter knowledge and future vision. We conducted survey for the S university students first and interviewed 3 selected participants. Almost 50 students from college of education participated answering to the surveys. Using SPSS package, there was no significant difference between freshmen, sophomore and junior students in any category Male students responded more positively than female students in all the categories. To explore survey results deeply, we selected 3 students from sophomore and junior levels and 2 extra senior students to conduct interviews. The interpretation of the data described how their academic problems unfold partly because they seek another major and how their professional development take place carrying out practicum activities. Most of the interviewees felt that their academic lives were affected motivations of entering college of education and difficulties of studying subject matter knowledge. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of vertical and horizontal refraction on the lower part of the power supply and control system of various facilities and machinery that use electricity, so that the power distribution system, which is an important electric facility installed in buildings and public facilities, Type earthquake resistant pads to protect the substructure and prevent short-circuiting on the upper part of the system. The GR-63-CORE (Scale 8.3 class) It is earthquake disaster prevention and disaster prevention technology that satisfies seismic performance. As a research result, it is possible to protect the electricity and communication infrastructure, which can contribute to shortening the time for recovering the electric facilities to the normal state in case of an earthquake, and preventing the fire caused by the destruction of the electricity supply facility in case of an earthquake. As a result, it is possible to minimize the spread of fire that occurs when a large-scale earthquake occurs and to minimize the damage of people and damage to property, and it can contribute to the securing of electric infrastructure that enables citizens to quickly recover to daily life even after suffering a major earthquake. In addition, the technology can be applied to ensure the seismic resistance of the equipment in the communication and computer room, and it can be applied to various fields where the facility function can be stopped due to the shaking of the earthquake base.
The amusement design of a large amusement park, including theme park, largely consists of attraction design, the main facilities, and auxiliary facilities design. The purpose of this study was to discuss the physical motion characteristics of major ride, a recently highlighted representative ride attraction, modern people's thirst for stronger stimuli, and some of the right future directions for amusement design. In theme park, there is an growing trend for rides, especially major rides, to be more thrilling, and Newton's Law motion is basically applied. The rides we can often see provides a thrilling experience that is different from that offered by vehicles we use everyday, due to a variety of speed change, namely of acceleration. Every entertainment facilities, including ride attractions, are externally cutting edge with the use of new technology. but internally, poor theme or concept not only makes it difficult to function properly as attraction but poses a severe threat to theme park survival itself. Theme park will be able to exist as a comprehensive entertainment entity, when attractions are designed to have a perfect harmony among story, method and environment with cultural universality.

This study was designed to analyze the social and institutional problems that may arise in the early 2000s of the United States and in the scholarship program for university student-athletes by analyzing Dialogues in the Film [The Blind Side] and to derive the meaning of this to Korean society and education field. In summary, the first is that there is a need for fundamental change in the thinking about gender discrimination and racist expressions expressed in everyday life including a Sport field not only in the United states but also in Korean society. Second, the Korea University Sports Federation(KUSF), like NCAA, is working on the right to study and human rights of university athletes, but in the commercialism of modern sports related to the capitalism, these systems and regulations could be a bigger obstacle to the process of growing young players. And finally, like the case of "Flower-loving Ferdinand" who having a lot in common with the main character, Michael in the Film, I hope that there will be a "Sports Ferdinand" that likes the sport itself, which is fully satisfied with its life and lives happily even if it is not a sports star.
