OD Matrix Estimation from Traffic Counts Using Genetic Algorithm (유전알고리즘을 이용한 링크관측교통량으로부터의 기종점 통행행렬 추정)

  • 전통적인 OD조사에 의한 OD추정의 여러 문제점들로 인해 링크관측교통량과 기존OD를 결합해 OD를 추정하고자 하는 연구들이 제시되고 있다. Yang(1995)은 일반화최소자승법을 풀기 위한 IEA와 SAB 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 그러나 두 알고리즘의 문제점은 첫째 실제 OD를 알기가 어렵기 때문에 기존 OD를 중요한 추정기준으로 설정한다는 것으로, 이러한 추정의 종속성으로 인해, 기존 OD와 실제 OD의 차이가 큰 경우 정확한 해를 도출하지 못한다. 두 번째 문제는 통행패턴 추정시 선형근사화를 가정하기 때문에 게임이론적 측면에서 전제로 설정한 완전한 Stackelberg 상황을 구현하지 못한다는 것이다. 이러한 문제점을 피하기 위해서는 기존 OD나 관측교통량의 오차에 일관적인 해도출 기법이 필요하다. OD추정 문제는 본질적으로 비선형이고 비볼록하여 전역해 탐색기법이 필요하기 때문에 전역최적화가 가능한 유전알고리즘을 이용한 OD추정모형(GAM)을 개발하였다. 사례네트워크 분석결과, GAM은 기존 OD의 오차에 대해 크게 종속적이지 않으며 OD구조가 변하는 경우에도 추정이 가능하여, 일반적으로 실제 OD를 알 수 없는(기존OD의 오차가 어느 정도인지를 알 수 없는) 도시부 네트워크에서 신뢰성있는 추정력을 보였다. 또한 기존 OD 추정모형은 비교적 용이하게 차종별로 관측할 수 있는 링크교통량을 차종구분 없이 단일차종으로 이용함으로써, 정보의 손실을 초래하여 결과적으로 모형의 추정력을 저하시켰다. 그렇지만 다차종 링크관측교통량으로부터 다차종 OD 추정연구는 거의 없었으며, 그 결과가 단일차종에 대한 추정결과와 어떻게 다른지에 대한 연구도 전무하였다. 본 연구에서는 유전알고리즘을 이용한 OD 추정모형을 다수단 OD 추정모형(GAMUC)으로 확대하였다. 사례 분석 결과 단일차종 OD추정기법은 심각한 추정오류를 범할 수 있으며, 그 적용성도 낮다는 것을 보였다. 다차종 OD 추정기법이 단일차종 OD 추정기법보다 양호한 추정력을 보였으며, 다차종 기법 중에서는 GAMUC가 IEAMUC보다 우수한 추정력을 보였다.

  • An algorithm is proposed for estimating dynamic displacements of a bridge by using FBG sensors and by superposing some measurable low modes. Modal displacements are obtained from the beam theory and the generalized coordinates are deduced from the strains measured by FBG sensors. By considering flexural and torsional modes occurred in bridges only as flexural modes of a simply supported beam by separating a bridge into multiple girders or parts, the proposed algorithm can be applied to various types of bridges. Guidelines are provided theoretically for determining the number of modes and the number of strain gages to be used. The proposed algorithm has been examined through simulation studies on various types of bridges, laboratory experiments on a model bridge, and field tests on a simple span PC Box girder bridge. Through the simulation study, the effects of the error in the vibration modes and measurement noise on estimating the dynamic displacements are analyzed.

  • This paper prosed modelling and design method in suspension system sesign to analyze sky hook damper system by adopting active suspension control theory. Recent in the field of suspension system design it is general to adopt active control scheme for stiffness and damping, and connection with other vehicle stability control equipment is also intricate, it is required for control system scheme to design more robust, higher response and precision control equipment. It is hon that sky hook suspension system is better than passive spring-damper system in designing suspension equipment. We analyze location of damper in sky hook system and its motion equation then design robust control system. Numerical example is shown for validity of robust control system design in active sky hook suspension system.

  • The current study analyzed the relationship between expression type of humor ads and their advertising effects and the differences in advertising effects by expression type according to temperament as categorized by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Expression type of humor was classified into arousal-, incongruity-, and superiority-type humor ads. Advertising effects were measured by consumers' cognitive, affective, and conative responses. Three ads were created based on expression type of humor. A personality type, as measured by the MBTI, was categorized into four types of temperament, namely SP, SJ, NF, NT and used as moderating variables. As a result, the advertising effects varied according to the expression type of humor advertising. Interaction effects between ad expression type and temperament on ad feeling and ad preference were also found.

Reconfigurable Architecture Design for H.264 Motion Estimation and 3D Graphics Rendering of Mobile Applications (이동통신 단말기를 위한 재구성 가능한 구조의 H.264 인코더의 움직임 추정기와 3차원 그래픽 렌더링 가속기 설계)

  • Mobile communication devices such as PDAs, cellular phones, etc., need to perform several kinds of computation-intensive functions including H.264 encoding/decoding and 3D graphics processing. In this paper, new reconfigurable architecture is described, which can perform either motion estimation for H.264 or rendering for 3D graphics. The proposed motion estimation techniques use new efficient SAD computation ordering, DAU, and FDVS algorithms. The new approach can reduce the computation by 70% on the average than that of JM 8.2, without affecting the quality. In 3D rendering, midline traversal algorithm is used for parallel processing to increase throughput. Memories are partitioned into 8 blocks so that 2.4Mbits (47%) of memory is shared and selective power shutdown is possible during motion estimation and 3D graphics rendering. Processing elements are also shared to further reduce the chip area by 7%.

  • The absence of the commensurable general mass media system theory has been problematic in empirical communication studies. This study first suggests the static mass media system theory based on modified Habermas's two level society, and then develops the dynamic mass media system theory based on the boundary-agencement theory that synthesizes Luhmann's boundary theory and Delueze & Guattari's agencement theory. In the static mass media system theory, the mass media system interpenetrates other social subsystems and the life world as a part of the cultural system coordinated by generalized language media. In the dynamic mass media system theory, the mass media system is a boundary of all social subsystems. The mass media system also articulates its self-referential observations to other-referential observations from other subsystems, mediated interpenetrations between the social subsystems and the life world. Especially, performances in the mass media system deterritorizes social systems to the life world, and reterritorizes the life world to social systems. The general mass media system theory can provide commensurability for various empirical mass media system studies, and prevent biases when researchers choose research topics.

  • In this paper GFI (Generalized Fuzzy Isodata) and FI (Fuzzy Isodata) algorithms are studied and applied to the tire tread pattern classification problem. GFI algorithm which repeatedly grouping the partitioned cluster depending on the fuzzy partition matrix is general form of GI algorithm. In the constructing the binary tree using GFI algorithm cluster validity, namely, whether partitioned cluster is feasible or not is checked and construction of the binary tree is obtained by FDH clustering algorithm. These algorithms show the good performance in selecting the prototypes of each patterns and classifying patterns. Directions of edge in the preprocessed image of tire tread pattern are selected as features of pattern. These features are thought to have useful information which well represents the characteristics of patterns.

  • In this paper, a study was performed on classifying a rock mass into multiple classes as in rock mass classification systems, such as RMR system and Q system etc. In a situation with only limited quantitative data available, it was sought to employ a way of incorporating qualitative data in a systematical and reasonable manner. It is based on the realm of Geostatistics. In particular, indicator kriging technique, which is one of non-parametric approaches, was used. As a selection criterion for an optimal classification, the cost of errors was adopted. As a result, the binary rock classification method developed before was extended and generalized for multiple rock classification with its total number of classes unlimited.

  • As an elegant solution of the key management scheme for a conventional cryptosystem. Diffie and Hellman introduced a public key distrbution system, whose security depends on the intractabliity of discrete loganthm problem over a finite field, and since then a lot of vartants of DH KDSS have been proposed. In this paper, we present the systematic approach to analyzing the security of a generalized DH KDS and designing an efficient and secure scheme. We classify vanous attacking methods and point out a possible way to avoid these attacks through the examples of successful attacking methods and point out a possible way to avoid these attacks through the examples of successful attack against those systems proposed so far or designed for this purpose. As security analysis tools, we present the redueiblity test, the information theoretic approach, and the protocol analysis technique, which we apply to variations of DH scheme to examine their security under all possble attacks.
