This study compares the members of children's reading and culture movement organization versus general public and their children with the aim of understanding how parents' reading activities affect children's reading activities. The study surveyed 477 elementary school students and 483 parents from five special metropolitan cities regarding their reading behaviour. Reading behavior was investigated in terms of reading frequency, book selection information source, reading awareness, and preferred books, and it was confirmed that there was a difference between members of children's reading and culture movement organization and children of the general public. Members of children's reading and culture movement organization and their children showed superior reading habits in terms of both quantity and quality than non-members and their children, and the book selection information service was used. In terms of perception regarding reading, children's reading and culture movement organization members and their children found more "joy" in reading than "help in learning" as compared to the general public and their children. In terms of reading preference, children's reading and culture movement organization members and their children intensively preferred Korean creative fairy tales and picture books while the general public and their children preferred Korean creative fairy tales, picture books, and educational comics. In order to create a healthier reading culture and environment for the long term, the development of more active reading participation methods for the general public is required.

Such series research that reading phenomenon analyzing comparison, is to find present address of reading movement and reading education. accordingly all sorts correct judgment about reading phenomenon, hereafter that will be foundation that unfold reading education more effectively. The aim of this research is to see if there are any relationships between reading disposition, career attitude maturity and self-leading learning trait among gifted and general elementary school students. The research results show that: in reading disposition, gifted students showed higher result compared to the general students at reading interest and reading experience, but were not different in reading environment. Also, gifted students showed higher results in career attitude maturity in determination, purposes, assurance, but were not different in readiness and independence. Additionally, gifted students showed higher results at self-directed learning in 8 sub-categories, which are openness to learning, self notion, taking-initiative ability, responsibility, learning zeal, future-oriented self-knowledge, creativity, and self assessment. In addition, the research indicates that career attitude maturity is correlated with reading interest, reading experience and reading environment. Also, self-leading learning is correlated with reading interest, reading experience and reading environment. On the basis of this research, the following are suggested. The research was conducted for elementary school students in 4th~6th grades. Hence, the research needs to be extended to middle school and high school students. And, in order to guide students' careers and improve students' self-leading learning ability, those results need to be applied to real educational situations. In addition, research need to be done to find out what kind of books have more effect on career attitude maturity and self-directed learning trait.

Generally, Bibliotherapy is aimed to cure the emotional or psychological wounds by using books for common users as self-treatment. But, Bibliotherapy for disabled people is carried out by alternative formats instead of a book. In library for the disabled, it is developing various bibliotherapy programs, but not yet activated. In order to carry out bibliotherapy, it is necessary to improve the bibliotherapy catalog preferentially. However, most Bibliotherapy catalogs are created for the common users, not for disabled people specially. How to make the special catalog for disabled people and catalog of alternative formats according to pathological symptom or situation is still a big problem. Basing on this premise, the author examined the necessity of bibliotherapy catalog for disabled people, and the present situation of alternative materials for the bibliotherapy. And then, the author proposes plans of bibliotherapy for how to build the bibliotherapy for disabled people.

이 연구는 힐링스토리프로그램의 기초를 구축하고 그 효과를 입증하기 위하여 '친구'의 주제 아래 상황별 힐링스토리를 창작하고, 이것을 적용한 '우리, 친구하자' 독서프로그램을 개발하여 친구관계의 대인관계능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구결과, 힐링스토리 독서팀이 독서팀보다 대인관계능력이 전체적으로 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구에서는 일반학생을 대상으로 다양한 상황의 힐링스토리를 창작하여 프로그램에 접목시켰으며 상황을 독서치료의 개념보다는 독서의 큰 범주로 판단하여 독서교육으로 적용하였다.

The study is intended to plan and apply developmental bibliotherapy program to housewives. Two bibliotherapy programs were proceeded in Pusan Namgu Public Library. One was to care for wounded emotions through general course of bibliotherapy. The other was to redefine participants' life through their languages in the advanced course of bibliotherapy program. The study evaluate on result of the bibliotherapy program for housewives.

The objective of this study is to examine the correlation of reading quantities in different developmental phases and various media(magazines, books, comic books). I surveyed reading quantifies in developmental periods, by questionnaires. As a methodology of empirical study, data was collected from 187 students at the Chonbuk National University. Statistical techniques of a Pearson Correlation Test were employed according to my hypotheses. The results of this survey are as follows: 1) reading quantities of general book of specific period is correlated with general book reading quantities of specific period. 2) reading quantities of magazine of specific period is correlated with magazine reading quantities of other period 3) reading quantities of comic book of specific period is correlated with comic book reading quantities of other period 4) correlation among reading quantity of middle school period and high school period is high.

본 연구는 학교도서관 독서 기반 프로젝트 학습에 대한 학생들의 인식을 탐색하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 중학교 사회 교과 연계 독서 기반 프로젝트 학습을 구안하여 실시하고, 이에 지속해서 참여한 학생 여덟 명을 대상으로 심층 면담을 진행하였다. 그 결과 교과연계 독서와 수업 공간으로서의 도서관 등 학교도서관의 프로젝트 학습 전반에 대한 인식을 파악하였다. 이를 바탕으로 학습자의 요구를 반영하여 교과 연계 독서기반 프로젝트 학습의 활성화 방안을 논의하였다.

This research allows purpose to illuminate Reading Popularization Movement and readers' interest in the 1960's. This period, there were scientific and national interests about 'Reading' as culture from society whole as well as on public education situation. This research describes reading and phenomenons of reading education on the basis of newspaper data mainly in the 1960's, observed formation process of kind of 'Reading society' in sociological side. Detailed research contents as following same. First, it was studied readers' interest, 1) general readers' interest, 2) student readers' interest. Second, it was investigated reading movement, 1) the library and reading movement, 2) village library and reading campaign.
