  • Internet is a world wide telecommunication netweok that is used broadly in every fields through the multimedia services offered by using Web Browser. The purpose of this study is to examine the functions of search tools. It analyzes that search tools have various characteristics and functions and Internet users have to select appropriate search tools for their information needs. Also improvement and development for search tools have to be continued.

A Study of the Influence Factors on the Internet Addiction of the Elderly (노인의 인터넷 중독 경향에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study ahead of the aging society in Korea to prevent problems of the elderly aged new addiction Internet Addiction and identify factors affecting the quantitative increase and qualitative improvement beyond that aims to promote. To this end, residents in Seoul over the age of 60's targets, local welfare, cultural centers, senior centers and other research in the area through one-on-one interviews were conducted the survey. Findings The average degree of Internet addiction elderly 36.16 points (SD = 10.02) and the distribution of at least 20 points to 65 points, respectively. Factors affecting the degree of Internet addiction as a computer time (β = .248, p <.001), mon allowance (β = .180, p <.01), age (β = .139, p <.01) and social support (β = .087, p <.05), self-efficacy (β = - .078, p <.05), most used location (β = - .116, p <.05), degree of family relationship (β = - .147, p <.01), housing type (β = - .153, p <.01), were of the order, this factor was 17.6% of the variance. In other words, the more computer time, the higher the age, the more mon allowance, housing is not self, the lower the degree of family relationship, the house is not a place most used, lower self-efficacy, social support is high As increasing the degree of Internet addiction was thought to be the two predictor variables. Survey results to target the elderly through the Internet addiction group psychotherapy program implementation, and production and distribution of manuals related to Internet use and addiction-related factors, according to the case-by-case Case management services are tailored to be done, and the Internet in general for seniors potential risks related to use in training and preventive services for the elderly will need to be made.

Internet Services in Korean Public Libraries the Status Quo and Perspectives (한국 공공도서관의 인터넷서비스 : 현황과 전망)

  • The purpose of this study was to obtain descriptive information about public library connectivity and use related to the Internet in Korea. Questionnaire was sent to all of the 364 public libraries in the nation. The data show that, as of the end of 1999,70.9% of the 351 public libraries which answered the questionnaire had some type of connection to the Internet, and 50.4% of them provided public Internet access services. The infrastructure of hardware and telecommunication, use policy for their public access Internet services were analysed. Public librarians were asked to evaluate their public Internet services. Overall the study found that the level of the nation' s public library Internet services were not satisfactory in quality and quantity. It also found that there were some significant disparities among public libraries in metropolitan areas, medium and small sized cities, and rural counties.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse on the internet use of Korean older adults focused on their socioeconomic characteristics. For this study, data were collected through the face to face interview with aged over 60 using a questionnaire for the residence of Daegu and Kyungsang Buk-Do areas. Subjects were divided into socioeconomic characteristics such as gender, education level, economic level, religion, and life satisfaction. The data were analysed the elderly's internet use such as frequency of internet access, motivation of internet use, utilization of internet, and usefulness of internet based on their socioeconomic characteristics. The results of this empirical study revealed that there exist a significant differences between internet use and socioeconomic characteristics in elderly people. It is hoped that the results of this study provide an essential data for developing the policy of the elderly's digital divide and welfare.

Correlation between Internet Addiction and Oral Health Behavior in University Students (대학생들의 인터넷 중독과 구강보건행태와의 상관관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between Internet addiction and oral health behavior among university students. The results, internet addiction was found in gender and smoking, oral health behaviors were classified according grade and smoking, differences in internet addiction were found in gender and smoking, there were statistically significant differences. And in common, high was first grades, non-health related major, smokers and drinkers, male students living at home. Oral health behaviors were found to be "lying on one side when sleeping" the highest, indicating that frequent use of the Internet occurred before sleep and thus negative oral health behaviors. In addition, there was a statistically significant correlation between college students 'oral health behavior and Internet addiction. Also, university students' internet addiction was found to be an oral health behavior. As a result of the above research, it is necessary to educate and guide appropriate internet use considering the influence on university students academic performance, and to develop oral health education program to recognize the problem of internet use regulation and the oral health behavior of university students themselves.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the current situation about the internet usage and advertisement attitude, to investigate the relationship between consumer characteristics and internet advertising effect, and to identify the moderating effect of consumer characteristics on the relationship between advertising types and advertising effects. For the study, a sample of 152 apparel consumers participated in this survey research. The survey of design with a questionnaire was employed. Questionnaire was developed with the html language and data collection was done at Korea though the internet on October 2000. For data analysis, descriptive statistics (i.e., frequency, percent), ANOVA with duncan tests were used. First, the major place of using internet was found as home, company, school, PC room in order and the average time of using internet was found as three times weekly. The major purpose of using internet were information search, e-mail, PC communication and program-download. The experience of internet fashion advertising was high. Second, consumer characteristics(age, job) had significant effects on attitude to the product. 20 years-old age group and specialist group were found to influence on the higher attitude toward product. Third, main effects of consumer characteristics(age, job) were found to be significant. The correlation and interaction effects of consumer characteristics and internet advertisement types were not significant.

  • The purpose of this study was to see the influences of net-speak on actual writing of elementary schoolchild. So I investigated diaries and letters of elementary schoolchild in Jeju. And I researched through questionaire their recognition of net-speak. As the result, it became clear to be widely used net-speak both diaries and letters, especially letters. In computer education, first, Information and communication ethics must be educated. The second, software which filtering net-speak have to be developmented. In language education, first, it must be researched to influence the replacing a ellipsis symbol with a period or omitting the subject, complement, and object in sentence on elementary schoolchild's way of thinking. The second, it needs to be researched the influences of the misuse of sign in sentences on the writing of elementary schoolchild.

  • 인터넷의 발달과 인터넷 문화의 보편화로 인하여 사용자들은 폭발적으로 증가하는 다양한 정보를 접할 수 있게 되었으며, 자체 생산하거나 다른 신문사들로부터 생산된 기사들을 단순 유통, 링크를 통하여 정보검색 사이트들뿐만 아니라 각종 포털 사이트, 인터넷신문사들은 많은 다양한 경로로 기사를 제공할 수 있게 되었다. 이에 따라 인터넷산문을 규정하고 법적, 테두리에 넣기 위한 법률이 제정되었으며, 인터넷신문사에 대해 기사의 자체 생산량이라는 요건 검증에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있다. 본 논문은 인터넷신문 자체기사 생산량을 측정하기 위해 필요한 기술들을 조사하고 타당성을 검토하여 이에 적합한 기술을 제시한다. 제시한 방법은 대량의 기사의 비교를 빠른 시간에 수행한 수 있도록 하기 위해 인간의 단어 인지와 관련한 경험적 정보의 반영을 통하여 변형한 편집거리 기반 방법이다. 제시하는 방법의 정확성을 검증하기 위해 실제 소량의 인터넷 신문 기사를 대상으로 실험하였다.

인터넷 경로배제위협이 유통구조에 미치는 영향에 관한연구

  • 인터넷 경로의 활성화에 따라 인터넷 유통기관과 물리적 유통기관 간의 유통갈등이 관 찰되고 새로운 형태의 유통구조에 대한 이해의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 이러한 배경하에서 인터넷 환경변화에 따른 인터넷 중간상과 물리적 유통경로 참가자 간의 관계에 대한 실증적 연구의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 필요성에 따라 인터넷 환경의 대두에 따른 인터넷 경로배제위협이 물리적 유통경로 참가자에 대해 인터넷 중간상의 역 할에 대한 기대를 형성시키는지, 또한 이러한 역할기대가 자신의 유통경로 상의 역할을 재 조정하여 인터넷 중간상에 대한 공급업자로 참여하도록 하는지에 대해 실증적 연구를 진 행하였다. 실증연구는 전자상가의 입점업체를 대상으로 하여 설문조사방식으로 진행되었고, 이론모형에 대한 검증은 신뢰성, 타당성에 대한 검증을 거쳐 공변량 구조분석을 통해 실시하였다. 검증결과 모든 가설적 경로에 대해 유의미한 결과가 나와 기존의 탈중간상화 가설이 부정되었고, 더 나아가 경로구조의 동적 변화과정에서 물리적 유통경로 참가자들이 역할에 대한 재구조화를 통해 재중간상화 과정에 참여하는 것으로 확인되었다.

An Experimental Study on the Factors Influencing Purchasing Intention on the Internet (인터넷 상품 구매의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 실험연구)

  • 본 연구는 실물과 인터넷 구매의도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴보기 위해 팩토리얼 디자인에 의한 실험설계에 의해 대학생 480을 대상으로 조사하였다. 주요 실험변수로는 소비자 특성(인터넷 사용량, 혁신성), 제품유형(탐색재/경험재), 가격할인폭, 상표였다. 그 결과 인터넷 다량사용자와 고혁신자 일수록, 경험재보다는 탐색재의 경우가, 가격할인폭이 클수록, 그리고 무명상표보다는 유명상표의 경우에 인터넷 구매의도가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 전반적으로 실물구매의도가 인터넷 구매의도보다 높았으나, 인터넷 다량사용자와 고혁신자의 경우에 이 양자간에는 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았고, 가격 할인폭이 클 경우에는 제시했을 때는 실물구매의도보다 오히려 인터넷 구매의도가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 인터넷 쇼핑을 확대하기 위한 시사점을 제시하였다.
