Determination of the Optimum Sampling Area for the Benthic Community Study of the Songdo Tidal Flat and Youngil Bay Subtidal Sediment (송도 갯벌과 영일만 조하대 저서동물의 군집조사를 위한 적정 채집면적의 결정)

  • The optimum sampling area which can be applied to the benthic community study is estimated from large survey data in the Songdo tidal flat and subtidal zone of Youngil Bay, Korea. A total of 250 samples by 0.02 $m^2$ box corer for the benthic fauna in Songdo tidal flat and 50 samples by 0.1 $m^2$ van Veen grab in Youngil Bay were taken from the total sampling area of 5 $m^2$. It was assumed that the sampling area could contain sufficient information on sediment fauna, if cumulative number of species, ecological indices, and similarity index by cluster analysis reflect the similarity level of 75% to those found at total sampling area (5 $m^2$). A total of 56 and 60 species occurred from Songdo tidal flat and Youngil Bay, respectively. The cumulative curve of the species number ($N_{sp}$) as a function of the sampling area (A in $m^2$ ) was fitted as $N_{sp}=37.379A^{0.257}$ ($r^2=0.99$) for intertidal fauna and $N_{sp}=40.895A^{0.257}$ ($r^2=0.98$) for subtidal fauna. Based on these curves and 75% of similarity to the total sampling area (5 $m^2$), the optimum sampling area was proposed as 1.6 $m^2$ for the intertidal and 1.5 $m^2$ for the subtidal fauna. Ecological indices (species diversity, richness, evenness and dominance indices) were again calculated on the basis of species composition in differently simulated sample sizes. Changes in ecological indices with these sample sizes indicated that samplings could be done by collecting fauna from < 0.5 $m^2$-1.5 $m^2$ on the Songdo tidal flat and from < 0.5 $m^2$-1.2 $m^2$ in Youngil Bay. Changes in similarity level of all units of each simulated sample size showed that sampling area of 0.3 $m^2$ (Songdo tidal flat) and 0.6 $m^2$ (Youngil Bay) should be taken to obtain a similarity level of 75%. In conclusion, sampling area which was determined by cumulative number of species, ecological indices and similarity index by cluster analysis could be determined as 1.5 $m^2$ (0.02 $m^2$ box corer, n=75) for Songdo tidal flat and 1.2 $m^2$ (0.1 $m^2$ van Veen grab, n=12) for Youngil Bay. If these sampling areas could be covered in the field survey, population densities of seven dominant species comprising 68% of the total faunal abundance occurring on Songdo tidal flat and six species comprising 90% in Youngil Bay can be estimated at the precision level of P=0.2.

Breeding Populations Trend of the Saunders' Gull (Larus saundersi Swinhoe) in Incheon Bay (인천만의 검은머리갈매기(Larus saundersi) 번식개체군 변동)

  • There are only 10,000 Saunders' Gull's (Larus saundersi Swinhoe) surviving in the world today. But they are being threatened by coastal habitat, degradation, development pressure and disturbance by humans. Their first breeding record in Korea was in 1998 and the breeding status has been studied, however, the breeding status is not sufficient for this species. This study was performed from May 1999 to June 2009 to clarify breeding populations and trend of the Saunders' Gull population in Korea. The results indicate that the breeding population has been increasing gradually from 300 to 1,300 individuals, though disturbance increased. As threats to the breeding birds, physical environmental factors such as development and human disturbance were identified as a major threatening factors. Also, as a secondary factor, eggs and chicks are falling pray to predators. Incheon bay breeding places have been created by a landfill projects for the purpose of urban and industrial development, thus, these places will no longer be available for this species. In addition, the breeding habitat has been reduced and changed by expansions of development on the ground. Therefore, well planed management schemes should be provided for the species' breeding population to be continually breed and survive.

  • A construction project of Incheon 2nd bridge, which is connected between the Incheon Song-Do New Town and the Incheon International Airport in Young-Jong-Do, have been proposed by the private capital in 1999. But the optimal span width in the bridge main span have not been decided in spite of the three investigations into the feasibility of ship's safe transit in this planned bridge. In this paper, we study the optimal main span width according to the traffic volume in the future traffic and the ship maneuverability of maximum size aspect. The result cf this study, Incheon 2nd bridge main span design is required to design two-way traffic scheme and 1,000m span width, which will satisfy the safe transit from the viewpoint of the traffic volume in the future traffic and the ship maneuverability maximum size.

In this paper, we study the economic analysis on port operational efficiency according to traffic schemes, me-way or two-way of vessels over 10,000G/T, in the bridge main span of this bridge. In this comparative result, total queueing time due to the one-way in the bridge main span is evaluated 20,362 hours in 2011 and 24,544 hours in 2020. Therefore the demurrage cost and the accumulation cost of freight are evaluated 19.7 billion won in 2011, and 23.3 billion won in 2020, then total accumulated costs during 33 years from 2008 until 2040 are evaluated about 768..9 billion won.

In this paper, we study the optimal width of the main span according to the traffic volume in the future traffic and the ship maneuverability of maximum size aspect. The result of this study, the channel in the main span of Incheon 2nd bridge is required to design two-way traffic scheme and the width of 1,000m, which will satisfy the safe transit from the viewpoint of the traffic volume in the future traffic and the ship maneuverability of maximum size.

  • 인구증가와 급속한 산업화에 따른 대량생산, 다량소비로 인해 쓰레기의 발생량은 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며 생활수준의 향상으로 쓰레기의 질적 특성도 변화되고 있다. 정부는 분리수거로 쓰레기 감량화 유도를 위해 지난 ’95년부터 쓰레기 종량제를 전국적으로 실시하고 있으나 수거∙운반단계에서 발생하는 문제는 크게 개선되지 못하고 있다. 따라서 쓰레기 방치에 따른 악취, 미관저해 등의 환경 위생적인 측면과 교통 안전 등의 문제를 해결할 수 있는 새로운 개념의 수거∙운반방식 도입의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 쓰레기 자동집하시설은 지하관로를 통해 쓰레기를 수거하는 방식의 최첨단 시스템으로 지상에서 쓰레기를 볼 수 없는 쾌적한 주거환경 조성 및 기존의 수거∙운반 단계의 단점을 해결한 쓰레기 수거 시스템이다. 이미 유럽 및 일본 등에서 도입되어 운영되고 있는 쓰레기 자동집하시스템은 삶의 질 향상과 함께 에서 운영비 절감 등 경제적인 면에서 우수성이 검증된 바있다. 국내에 쓰레기 자동집하시설이 도입된지 10여년이 지났으나 그동안 주상복합 및 병원, 오피스텔 등에만 적용될 정도로 시장이 매우 미미했었다. 최근들어 쾌적한 주거환경에 대한 관심이 높아짐에 따라 지자체 및 발주처가 확대적용할 예정이어서 새로운 시장으로 떠오르고 있다. 최근 토지 공사가 성남 판교 집하시설과 용인흥덕지구 집하시설 입찰에 들어갔고, 주공도 광명소하지구 집하시설을 입찰에 붙였는데 건설업계의 관심이 집중되었다. 이와 관련 본지는 쓰레기자동집하시설 도입 필요성 및 원리, 국내 적용 현황 등에 관해 자세히 알아보고, 우양기건(주)(대표 강석대)가 인천광역시 도시개발공사로부터 분리발주 받은 송도4공구 1, 2단지 쓰레기관로수송설비공사의 시공사례를 알아본다. 향후 쓰레기 관로수송설비공사는 주택 단지 형성시 반드시 필요한 공사중의 하나이며 지자체로부터 분리발주될 가능성이 높은 공사 중의 하나이므로 우리 설비건설업계가 관심을 가져야할 분야이다.

  • Yongsan International business Center, Incheon Songdo City, Roppongihill sand Midtown, including the most of latest internal and external construction projects become larger and more complicated than before. Mega project is one of most complicated project type as public and private sectors involve and the space will be construed in all directions i.e. horizontal, vertical, underground and ground. Therefore mega projects need a new program management information system to start the project's success. So this paper proposes a platform design study to intelligent program management information systems to mange mega projects.

Analysis of the effect in the city due to the bridges incidents in Songdo International City (송도국제도시 연결도로의 유고상황 발생에 따른 신도시 내부 영향 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analysis the impact on the inside of the new city when an incidents occurs on the Songdo International City connecting road, which has a limited access. The analysis data used KTDB's O/D and network data of the Seoul metropolitan area. In addition, the scenario composition applied a method of reducing the number of lanes on the road according to the situation of incidents, targeting bridges advancing from Songdo International City to the outside in the morning peak hours. The analysis method analyzed the traffic volume, total travel time, total travel kilometer, and route change in the new city based on the results of the traffic allocation model. As a result of the analysis, the range of influence was shown to two types. First, of the seven bridges, Aam 3, Aam 2, and Aam 1 were analyzed to have an impact only in some areas of the northwestern part of the new city. On the other hand, the remaining bridges were analyzed to affect the new city as a whole. The analysis results of this study are expected to be used as basic data to establish the scope of internal road network management when similar cases occur in the future.

  • 최근 우리나라의 기후변화와 도시화로 인한 홍수피해 규모가 대형화 추세를 보이며, 그에 따른 도시침수의 발생이 증가하고 있다. 도시침수로 인한 피해는 파손보다는 침수가 대부분이고, 도시의 규모가 클수록 침수의 비중이 크게 나타난다. 그로 인한 피해는 인명피해 및 재산피해 이외에 여러 가지 피해를 유발하며 도시기능 마비가 일어난다. 이러한 도시지역의 침수피해는 넓은 불투수층으로 인해 홍수 도달시간이 감소하고, 급격한 도시화로 인한 건물, 이외에 하수 관망에 미치는 영향 등 여러 가지를 고려하여 침수해석이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 XP-SWMM 모형으로 도시지역의 불투수층의 면적비율, 건물의 영향 등을 고려하여 침수해석을 하고자 하였다. 또한 XP-SWMM 모형의 2차원 TUFLOW엔진을 기반으로 하는 2D 지표 유출 계산을 이용하여 대상 지역의 침수 취약지역을 예측할 수 있을 것이다. 최근 송도국제도시 개발이 이루어진 인천광역시 연수구를 대상지역으로 선정하여 도시지역의 특성을 고려하여 분석을 수행하였다. XP-SWMM 모형의 적용성을 평가하기 위해 대상지역의 도시침수 피해를 입은 강우사상을 선정하여 분석을 수행하였고, 유출량 및 침수면적을 산정하여 침수흔적도와 비교 및 적용성을 평가하였다. 본 연구는 도시지역 하수도 관거의 성능 및 도시지역의 특성을 고려하여 여러 강우 빈도를 이용해 집중호우로 인한 침수지역 및 침수면적 등 침수피해를 예측하여 수해 예방 발전에 기여할 수 있을것으로 사료된다.
