The purpose of this study is to verify the effectiveness of a CT-CPS(Computational Thinking-based Creative Problem Solving) instructional model on the cognitive and the affective area of middle school students' software class. To achieve our goal, we explored theoretical background and designed a lesson plan based on CT-CPS instructional model. Then we analyzed our experimental results after applying the lesson plan to middle school students. We performed our experiment to an experimental group by using our CT-CPS instructional model-based lesson plans, and we carried out three pre and post tests about cognitive and affective area, i.e. creative problem solving ability, meta cognition and motivation of learning. As a result, most of the test factors were statistically improved, so the effectiveness of the CT-CPS instructional model on the cognitive and the affective area of middle school students' software class was verified.

The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of a VR(virtual reality)-based biology class on both the cognitive and affective domains by developing and applying a VR-based biology program for 6th-grade elementary school students. For this research, we developed a VR teaching material about 'digestion' reflecting virtual reality characteristics and one hundred five students in an elementary school in an urban area participated in this study and took three VR-based lessons. To examine the cognitive effects of a VR-based biology class, the study subjects were divided into two groups. The experimental group was composed of 50 individuals who participated in VR-based biology lessons, while 55 students of a control group learned through general lessons. We collected data using drawing tasks for measuring students' modeling performance level from these groups and analyzed the cognitive effect of VR-based instruction. We also recorded 21 interviews of students after the intervention, which were transcribed to verify the students' perception of cognitive and affective effects. The key results are as follows: First, we demonstrated the possibility of applying a VR program reflecting VR characteristics (manipulation, multi-sensory, and interaction). Second, we found out that a VR-based biology class significantly enhances higher levels of thinking (spatial, abstract, and reflective thinking). Third, we examined students' perceptions on this program and came to the conclusion that VR characteristics positively affected cognitive and affective domains. This study may be able to contribute to offering guidelines on how to apply VR-programs to future science education effectively.
The purpose of this study was to comprehensively examine the effect of capstone design education on learning outcomes and propose directions for effective design and implementation of capstone design classes. For achieving this, a 21 studies meeting the standards among the academic journals and thesis published in Korea by September 2020 were selected, and based on 83 effect sizes, the meta analyses were carried out. The results of this study were as follows: First, the total effect size of capstone design education was 0.96, which is a large effect size. Second, the effect size was large in order of affective, cognitive, and social areas. Third, the effect size of vocational basic ability showed a large effect size while creativity showed a medium-sized one. Fourth, the effect size showed highest for design subject, the grade in the third or fourth, there was help from industrial corporation, theory and practice. Based on these results, this study proposed instructional design implications in order to increase the learning effects of capstone design in Korea.

This study was conducted to compare and examine the knowledge, affectivity and behavior of students between before and after Internet ethics education depending on education method. The class for A group was being taught by tutor-oriented teaching method based on explaining and the class for B group was characterized by student-oriented studying based on participation of students. Upon comparing the changes of the knowledge, affectivity and behavior after Internet ethics education, the tutor-oriented teaching method was more effective for knowledge in Internet ethics education and the student-oriented studying based on participation of students was more effective to change the student's affectivity. In the behavior, both A group and B group had a tendency to be changed positively after education, but there was no statistically significant difference. In order to produce actual results on Internet ethics education as integrated morality education, it is important for students to join and take a leading role in the class and for tutor to teach students supplementarily what they need to know essentially.
Supported by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, this research explored the potentiality of the use of hands-on robots in elementary school curriculum. On the basis of the analysis of prior research, we defined the meaning and the characteristics of hands-on robots. The priority was given to the development of lesson plans in attempting to activate the use of robots in elementary school curriculum. Also considering the difficulties faced in schools and the characteristics of robot-based instruction, we classified hands-on robots according to the shape and the goal of use.
The purpose of this study is to verify the learning effect of domestic flipped learning in meta - analysis. We collected a total of 95 studies on flipped learning effectiveness published in Korea by 2017, of which 59 are dissertations and thesis and 36 are academic papers. The results were analyzed using CMA program. First, the learning effect of flipped learning was .58, which showed that the learning effect was higher than the lecture class. Second, the effect size of cognitive, affirmative, and interpersonal domains showed significant effects of flipped learning in all three domains. Third, the learning effect of flipped learning is influenced by the type of publishing, school type, core subject, when the type of publication are dissertation and thesis, when the type of school is high school. Based on the results, this study suggested implications for the design and implementation of flipped learning in Korea.
This study aims to investigate the relationship among the learning flow, perceived effectiveness of online learning and learning burnout in college online classes. A total of 149 college students participated in the study and completed the survey including learning flow, learning burnout and demographic information. The results showed that participants with higher learning flow showed less learning burnout. In addition, the perceived effectiveness of online learning partially mediated the relationship between cognitive learning flow and learning burnout, but did not mediate the relationship between defined learning flow and learning burnout. Since learners with higher cognitive learning flow perceived online learning as more effective, it is necessary to find out how to build learners' cognitive learning flow to decrease learning burnout. The results imply that universities should provide students with administrative support and an appropriate online learning environment.
