Differing effects of perceived psychological benefits of wearables adoption by consumer age, need for cognition, and involvement (소비자의 웨어러블즈 스포츠웨어 기술수용 과정에서 연령, 인지욕구, 패션관여의 조절효과 연구)

  • The wearables market has fast grown, demanding a more consumer-centric academic attention. The current research explores the moderations of consumer individual characteristics (i.e., age, need for cognition, involvement) in the dynamics of perceived psychological benefits of wearables adoption (i.e., perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use) towards perceived product quality. the results indicate a strong positive influence of both the perceived usefulness and ease of use on perceived quality. however, the predicted moderations of age, need for congitiion, and involvement were partially supported.

  • 교육의 질이 향상됨과 동시에 학습 콘텐츠의 질 역시 향상되고 있고 어플리케이션, AI, AR 등 다양한 기술들과 접목된 다양한 교육 방식들이 존재하게 되었다. 이와 함께 스마트폰의 기술 발달과 보급률 증가에 따라 다양한 기술들과 접목된 교육용 어플리케이션들에 대한 접근 또한 쉬워지고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 유아의 학습 능력을 조사하여, 단어 학습에 있어 의미파악, 단어 인지, 바른 발음 지도 등을 길러 줄 수 있도록 AR 기술을 접목한 교육용 AR 어플리케이션을 설계하고 이를 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 개발한 어플리케이션은 유아의 인지와 학습 방법을 토대로 하여 바른 발음과 철자를 지도하고, 단어 학습에 있어 낱말이 가진 의미파악을 도와주며, 반복학 습을 통하여 단어를 인지하고 사용할 수 있도록 도와준다. 본 논문의 어플리케이션은 AR 기술을 융합하여 이미지만을 사용한 교육보다 쉽게 의미를 파악하는데 도움을 줄 수 있고 이에 따라 인지 능력도 상승시켜 줄 것이라 기대한다.

딥 러닝 기반 다중 카메라 영상을 이용한 해상 장애물 탐지 추적에 관한 연구

  • 과거에는 선박을 운용하기 위해서 많은 인원이 필요하였으나 최근 들어 선박 운용에 필요한 인원이 줄어들고 있으며, 더 나아가 자율적으로 운항하는 선박을 만들기 위한 연구가 활발히 수행되고 있다. 자율 운항 선박을 구성하는 여러 요소 중 인간의 시각을 대체하기 위한 자율 인지 시스템은 가장 선행되어야 하는 연구 분야 중 하나이다. RADAR (RAdio Detection And Ranging) 및 AIS (Automatic Identification System) 등의 전통적인 인지 센서를 활용한 연구가 진행 중이지만 사각지대나 탐지 주기 등의 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다중 카메라 (광학, 열상, 파노라마)를 이용하여 전통적인 인지 센서의 한계를 보완하는 새로운 인지 시스템을 고안하였으며, 이를 기반으로 해상 장애물을 추적하여 동적 운동 정보를 얻었다. 먼저 실해역에서 수집한 이미지를 바탕으로 해상 장애물 탐지를 위한 데이터를 구성하고, 딥 러닝 기반의 탐지 모델을 학습시켰다. 탐지 모델을 이용하여 탐지한 결과는 직접 설계한 칼만 필터 기반의 적응형 추적 필터를 통과시켜 해상 장애물의운동 정보 (궤적, 속력, 방향)를 계산하는데 활용되었다. 또한 본 연구는 카메라를 센서로 활용했을 때의 한계를 보완하기 위하여 동 시간대에 다중 카메라에서 추적한 각각의 정보를 융합하였다. 그 결과 단일 카메라를 활용하는 경우, RADAR의 오차 범위 이내에 추적 결과가 수렴하는 양상을 보였으며, 다중 카메라를 활용하는 경우에는 단일 카메라보다 정확한 추적이 가능함을 확인하였다.

The Impact of Speech-To-Text-based Class on Learners' Cognitive Abilities

  • This research studied the cognitive impact of classes using artificial intelligence on aviation technical school students. First, we developed a class consisting of a class based on traditional presentation materials and a class composed of speech-to-text (STT)-based artificial intelligence materials. A 133 students from an aviation education institution participated in two types of classes. We measured students' cognitive load and Mind Wandering test results before and after class, and conducted an achievement evaluation. As a result of the test analysis, we confirmed that extraneous cognitive load was reduced, content concentration increased, and achievement improved. In the future, we hope that AI-based STT classes will be widely used in schools that teach technology.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between health related physical fitness, cognitive function, depression and quality of life variables of elderly people in a comprehensive way based on quantitative evaluation. The subjects of this study were 385 people who voluntarily participated in the elderly welfare center in Gyeonggi and Seoul the elderly people. As for the data collection methods, were measured the characteristics, depression and quality of life, cognitive function questionnaires along with measures of lower and upper body strength, dynamic equilibrium and agility, total endurance and grip strength. As a result, the first was a statistically significant correlation between integrated health of the elderly, cognitive function, quality of life and depression. Second, the analysis of cognitive function, elderly integrated health, quality of life, and depression revealed statistical significance among all variables. Third, there was the partial intervention effect of function in the quality of life and depression of the elderly.

Effect of Aerobic Exercise Program Participation on the Dementia-related Factor and Cognitive Function in Elderly Women with Dementia (유산소운동프로그램 참여가 경증치매 여성 노인의 치매관련 인자 및 인지기능에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aimed to investigate the effects of participating in an aerobic exercise program three days a week and 50 minutes a day on dementia related factors and cognitive function in elderly women with mild dementia. For this, among 17 elderly women aged 65 and above, 10 elderly women were randomly assigned to the experimental group and 7 elderly wonmen to the control group. As a result of comparative analysis, conclusions were drawn as follows: There was a significant difference (p<.05) in the DHEA-s change between the two groups according to whether or not the aerobic exercise program was performed. Changes in cognitive function did not show any significant difference in the interaction effects of group, period, period${\times}$group. These results suggest that the aerobic exercise program did not show statistically significant effects on the dementia related factors and cognitive function changes of the elderly women with mild dementia. The reason for this is that the followings should be analyzed in more detail, but the lack of control on the daily life (diet) of the study subjects, which was considered as a limitation in this study, seems to be the biggest cause. Based on the results of this study, we hope that this study will be used as a basic data for improving the quality of dementia.

The Mediating Effect of Depression in the Relationship between Knee Pain and Cognitive Functions in Older Adults: Focusing on Group differences by Gender, Age, and Educational Attainment (노인의 무릎통증과 인지기능 간 영향관계에서 우울의 매개효과 -성별, 연령, 학력에 따른 집단별 차이를 중심으로-)

  • This study, to confirm the mediating effect of knee pain on cognitive functions and depression in older adults, and as an interdisciplinary research between the physical and psychological mechanisms, confirmed the identifying group differences by gender, age, and educational attainment of older adults, and aimed to research the improvement of cognitive functions, which is a main factor of dementia's risk prediction. The analysis data was from the 8th Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing (KLoSA) in 2020, and the research model was verified using Process macro and model #4. The main analysis results are as follows. First, depression partially mediation effect of knee pain on cognitive functions. Second, the mediation effect of depression by gender was significant, but the direct effect in the male older adults group was twice that in the female older adults; the indirect effect did not vary significantly based on gender. Third, the mediating effect of depression by age was relatively greater in the old-old aged group than in the young-old aged one. Fourth, as for the mediating effect of depression according to the classification of educational attainment, the mediating effect was not significant in the group with a college degree or higher education but was significant in the remaining three sub-groups. Based on the results, this study makes implications for the need for active intervention strategies to improve cognitive functions, focusing on group differences by gender, age, and educational attainment in the management of knee pain and depression.

Performance Improvement of Bearing Fault Diagnosis Using a Real-Time Training Method (실시간 학습 방법을 이용한 베어링 고장진단 성능 개선)

  • In this paper, a real-time training method to improve the performance of bearing fault diagnosis. The traditional bearing fault diagnosis cannot classify a condition which is not trained by the classifier. The proposed 4-step method trains and recognizes new condition in real-time, thereby it can classify the condition accurately. In the first step, we calculate the maximum distance value for each class by calculating a Euclidean distance between a feature vector of each class and a centroid of the corresponding class in the training information. In the second step, we calculate a Euclidean distance between a feature vector of new acquired data and a centroid of each class, and then compare with the allowed maximum distance of each class. In the third step, if the distance between a feature vector of new acquired data and a centroid of each class is larger than the allowed maximum distance of each class, we define that it is data of new condition and increase count of new condition. In the last step, if the count of new condition is over 10, newly acquired 10 data are assigned as a new class and then conduct re-training the classifier. To verify the performance of the proposed method, bearing fault data from a rotating machine was utilized.

  • 본 논문에서는 오토마타를 활용한 창의 융합 교육으로 학생들에게 기술과 공학 그리고 예술의 융합적 상상력을 불어넣을 수 있는 교육과정을 제안하고 이를 통해 인지능력과 감정조절, 그리고 공감 능력을 향상시키는 것을 가능하게 하는 사회정서학습인 SEL(Social and Emotional Learning)을 수행할 수 있도록 한다. 제안하는 프로그램을 통해 학생들의 감성을 자극하고 새로운 생각을 유도함으로써 올바른 인성을 가질 수 있도록 한다.

  • The future society will be changed through an artificial intelligence (AI) based intelligent revolution. To prepare for the future and strengthen industrial competitiveness, countries around the world are implementing various policies and strategies to utilize AI in the manufacturing industry, which is the basis of the national economy. Manufacturing AI technology should ensure accuracy and reliability in industry and should be explainable, unlike general-purpose AI that targets human intelligence. This paper presents the future shape of the "autonomous factory" through the convergence of manufacturing and AI. In addition, it examines technological issues and research status to realize the autonomous factory during the stages of recognition, planning, execution, and control of manufacturing work.
