  • On roads vehicles are the bossy, while pedestrians are the frangible. The current paper has a purpose for contributing to pedestrian's safety. First, it studies the association between demographic parameters and TPB(Theory of Planned Behavior)'s variables(pedestrian's attitude toward crossing behavior in roads, personal norm, etc.) and his/her crossing intention, perceived risk while crossing, and the experience of past traffic accidents. Its sample comes from a specific population(college students). Further, the present study endeavors to explain the portion of human cognitive failure/error, impulsiveness, time perspective, and probabilistic/math-logical judgment ability in pedestrian's riky crossings on roads. Research results found that TPB variables and such a few human characteristics have some significant association with the risky crossing intention on the road. Considering the human psychological portion in pedestrian accidents would help us prevent the accidents and reduce unhappiness of the accidents and, further, economic loss and insurance expenditure related with the accidents.

  • The purpose of this study is to make an empirical analysis of the influencing factors of consumer purchase intention of ginseng products, one of the specialties of jilin province in china, on the basis of expanding the theoretical model of planned action at the level of perceived value, so as to better grasp consumer purchase behavior of ginseng products. In this study, a questionnaire survey was conducted among ginseng product consumers living in jilin, and 360 valid samples were statistically analyzed using SPSS 23.0.The analysis results show that behavioral attitude, subjective norms, cognitive behavior control, price value, emotional value and social value have considerable influence on consumers' intention to buy ginseng products, and the influence of perceived value is significantly greater than the three factors of planned action theory. Moreover, the functional value has little influence on consumers' intention to buy ginseng products.

  • This study investigated creative behavior, one of organizational effectiveness, needed to survive in the rapidly changing circumstances. So, transformational leadership was setting as independent variables consist of ideal influence, intellectual stimulus and individual consideration, and affect-based trust and cognition-based trust was setting as mediating variables. For this study, 211 of the respondent, who are attending various companies, answered this questionnaire. This study shows that ideal influence, intellectual consideration and individual consideration of transformational leadership have positive(+) direct impact to creative behavior, and in affect-based trust, transformational leadership has impact on the creative behavior, as fully positive(+) mediating effects. In cognition-based trust, trust has impact partly as mediating effects. Namely, transformational leadership is based on affect-based trust will be heightened after all creative behavior. Impact of control variables is more larger in man, under 30 age, public workers.

  • The significant changes of convergence study in the 21st century is the shift from theoretical-based instruction to computer-based instruction. This study investigated the student's cognitive engagement in TPB(Theory of Planned Behavior) of accounting information classes in the Digital Convergence Era. Hypothesis test was conducted from 99 accounting information learners from four year course university in the Gyeonggi-do. A questionnaire was given and analyzed. The results showed. First, the TPB variables han a positive effect on intrinsic curiosity of students. Second, the subjective norm of TPB variables could develop student's enjoyment. Subject norm could have a positive effect on enjoyment. The results of this study may contribute to propose desirable ways of improving the psychological states in the relationship between TPB and cognitive engagement. In the future, variables of cognitive engagement will be compliment to analyze.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate college student search behavior in an academic library. The theory of planned behavior was applied for identifying relationship among variables on search behavior. Data were collected in an university. For data analysis, ANOVA, factor analysis, regression analysis, cluster analysis were used. The result shows: the theory of planned behavior can be used for finding search intention in an academic library. Student major and library use frequency are different statistically in attitudes, perceived behavioral control, behavioral intention. Student characteristics are divided into four types: conservative, independent, friendship, fashion. Friendship type of students influences search behavior. From cluster analysis, the cluster included friendship and independent types of students and students who have high frequency of library use has more active intention for search in academic library.

  • This study analyzed the factors affecting the reemployment intention of the baby boomer. To this end, an extended Model of Goal-directed Behaviors(MGB) was set as a research model. The extended MGB used in this study added economic readiness and social capital to attitudes, subjective norms, positive anticipated emotions, and perceived behavioral control variables as independent variables. The desires was set as a mediating and the reemployment intention was set as the dependent variable. The research model was empirically analyzed with 201 baby boomers. Empirical analysis showed that economic preparation had a negative effect on reemployment intention, and social capital had a positive effect on reemployment intention. Economic preparation rather than social capital was found to have a stronger impact on the intention of reemployment. Attitudes, subjective norms, positive anticipated emotions, and perceived behavioral control variables were not tested for a significant direct effect on reemployment intention. They were found to have a significant influence on reemployment intention through the mediating of desires. Based on the results of this empirical analysis, academic and practical implications were presented.

  • In today's society, the experience of social exclusion caused by being rejected or ignored, leads to negative social consequences, such as aggressive behavior, self-defeating thoughts, and diminished intelligence. This study is performed to examine 1) how two types of social exclusion, rejection and ignorance, affect conspicuous consumption and prosocial behavior and 2) how embodied cognition formed with a firmed muscle moderates their causal relationships. For this purpose, half of the participants in ignorance and rejection conditions were asked to grip their hands to form a firmed muscle (firmed muscle group) while the other half (control group) were not. After the manipulation of embodied cognition, their conspicuous consumption and intention of prosocial behavior were measured. Results show that, in ignorance condition, the firmed muscle group exhibited lower conspicuous consumption and higher intention of prosocial behavior than the control group while, in rejection condition, there were no differences in conspicuous consumption and intention of social behavior between firmed muscle and control groups. Findings indicate that, in the case of social exclusion caused by ignorance, firmed muscle improves self-efficacy, which may increase prosocial behavior.

  • Prior research on consumer psychology has primarily focused on when and why consumers exhibit impulsive behavior, such as impulse buying. This study focuses on physical stimulation during an impulse purchase as another meaningful factor. Specifically, this study examines whether thirst depletes cognitive resources. The results of two experiments show that impulse purchase tendency increases when consumers are thirsty (Exp. 1), and that the loss of self-control is based on the relationship between thirst and impulse purchase tendency (Exp. 2). These findings suggest that physical stimulation, such as thirst, may be a useful indicator of impulsive behavior in consumers.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between self-control, value consumption, and subjective happiness of high school students. In this study, self-control is the students' ability to control their thoughts and emotions and value consumption is the psychological mechanism of their consumer behavior. To conduct this study, 400 high school students were surveyed. Independent sample t-tests showed statistical significance in the results that are discussed below. First, subjective happiness among the participants varied according to their self-control levels. We observed that the higher their level of self-control was, the higher their subjective happiness was also likely to be. Second, there was a significant difference in subjective happiness based on the value consumption level of high school students. We observed that the higher their value consumption level was, the higher their subjective happiness also was.

  • With widespread use of information technologies the importance of information security has been heightened. Security policies which deal with fundamental direction of information security are critical elements of information security management. Numerous studies have been conducted on users' intention to comply security policies. They were based on various theoretical foundations and the theory of planned behavior(TPB) was the most frequently used. This research employed one of the quantitatively synthesizing meta-analytic techniques called Two-Stage Structural Equation Modeling to investigate factors influencing information security policy compliance behavior based on TPB. Analysis results indicated that all three factors of TPB were significantly influencing the behavioral intention. Moreover, the overall fit indices of structural model exhibited satisfactory level.
