Adobe? InDesign?의 최신 버전은 CS4이다. Adobe의 CS4 버전은 전반적으로 작업 시간 단축이라는 공통된 특징을 가지고 있다. 특히 InDesign CS4는 온라인 출판과 오프라인 출판의 경계가 허물어질 수 있을 정도로 다른 프로그램과의 호환성이 강력해졌다. 이번 호에서는 인디자인 CS4의 전반적인 화면의 모습과 신기능 및 향상된 기능에 대해 알아본다.

Time-temperature indicators (TTI) from three different companies obtained and were attached to food packages materials to evaluate degree of their color change according to storage time and temperature. Five temperature (-10 -5, 0, 5 and 10) was selected to represent standard freezing, refrigerating and room temperature, and evaluated performance by color change based on magnitude of color change and hunter system (L, a, b). Response end point was measured and recorded to find characteristic of each indicator. Comparison and discussion were conducted for accuracy and precision of each time-temperature. More research should be conducted at variable temperature and with various food to determine applicability of TTI on various storage condition.

Yangia sp. TSBP01, isolated from tidal flat sediment contaminated by the oil spill, is known to convert indole to indigo via an intermediate called indoxyl. Our analysis revealed that Yangia sp. TSBP01 contained the genome of 5,165,974 bp (G + C content: 66.5%) being composed of two chromosomes and five plasmids. This strain had genes encoding several oxygenases such as indole oxygenase directly involved in the conversion of indole to indoxyl.

Music has been created and played in various environments over a long time, with each piece having distinct sentiments and stories. Different people can have varying interpretations of one song depending on their viewpoints shaped by personal experiences and attitudes. In fact, the audience's understanding may differ greatly from the songwriter's intended message. Knowing this, music can serve as a reflection of one's contemporary sentiment. In the works of art such as music, the creator's intention becomes the background of the work or, sometimes, the main meaning. However, given that popular music is often under the control of companies and distributors and influenced by "capital," creators are required to adjust to mainstream preferences and, therefore, cannot fully express themselves in their music. On the other hand, indie music allows creators to pursue their own music given its "independence" from capital. With this, this study aims to collect and analyze data on the activities that Korean indie bands carry out, and examine their meaning and significance in society.

The Shiveet Khairkhan is located on Tsengel Som in the middle of Bayan-ulgi Aimag in the Altai region. Various remains have been identified, and it has been found to be an important area of the Eurasian steppe. In this study, the characteristics of textile fibers and dyes excavated from the tombs of the 1st~3rd century Xianbei period in the sites of Shiveet Khairkhan, Mongolia were investigated. As a result of analysis using optical microscopic observation and attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) for fiber identification, green and yellow fabrics were identified as silk fabrics. To investigate the properties of the dye, the surface reflectance of the dyed fabric was measured using an fiber optic reflectance spectrophotometer for non-destructive analysis. The green fabric appeared similar to the reflection spectrum of indigo dye. In addition, as a result of component analysis using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, isatin and indigotine were detected. Isatin and indigotine are characteristic components of indigo dye, and it was found that the green fabric of the tombs of the Xianbei period was dyed using indigo dye. It was difficult to identify the type of dye in the yellow fabric as a result of reflectance spectrum and gas chromatography analysis. Indigo plants are a dye used for blue dyeing from thousands of years ago, and many species are distributed around the world. It was confirmed that the fabric was relatively well preserved and indigo dye was used for the green Jikryeongui (garment with a straight collar) in the ancient tomb of the Xianbei period about 1,800 years ago, even though it was buried for a long time. Scientific investigation of textile cultural heritage is an essential process for conservation treatment, restoration, exhibition, and the creation of a conservation environment. It is expected that related research will be activated in the future and will be helpful in interpreting the living culture at the time, preserving textiles, and a conservation environment.

선박의 안전한 운전을 위하여 선박 내/외에 다양한 계측장비를 추가하여 선박의 안전한 운항을 돕고 있다. 이러한 계측장비들과의 통신은 일반적인 RS-422,485 통신을 기반으로 NMEA0183과 고속의 통신 속도를 지원하는 CAN 통신 기반의 NMEA2000 프로토콜을 표준으로 하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 NMEA0183 프로토콜을 지원하도록 하고 NMEA0183 프로토콜 기반의 특정 선박용 통신 데이터를 사용자가 선택적으로 모니터링하고 체크할 수 있는 지능형 단말기를 설계하였다. 이러한 간단한 펌웨어 기반의 다기능 인디케이트(indicator)는 선박 내에서 사용할 수 있는 간편한 이동용 통신 프로토콜 체크기와 다양한 데이터를 선택적으로 모니터링 할 수 있는 다기능 인디케이트를 개발하여 실용 가능성을 제시하고 한다.

국내의 대형 기획사 및 대기업 위주의 유통사들 사이에서 음반제작, 유통, 판매 등에 들어가는 비용을 인디밴드가 감당하기란 어려운 일이다. 이러한 문제의 대안의 성격을 가지고 소셜 펀드레이징으로 음반제작을 지원하는 프로젝트가 출현했다. 소셜 펀드레이징은 불특정다수로부터 후원을 받아 아이디어나 프로젝트를 성사시키고, 그에 따른 보상을 제공하는 것을 말한다. 본 논문에서는 2011년과 2012년의 SYM(Support your music) 프로젝트를 사례로 삼아, 한국 인디밴드의 음반제작에 있어 소셜 펀드레이징이 가지는 의의를 분석한다. 이것이 기존의 음반시장에서 대안이 될 수 있는지, 또한 그 한계는 무엇인지 알아본다.

The organic acids, fuel oil contents and antioxidant activities of Yakju with the addition of rice varieties were investigated. The rice cultivars that were used in this study were Ilmi rice, Hopyung rice, Hopum rice, Hanarum rice, Anda rice and Indica rice. The study results are as follows: the pH values of Ilmi Yakju and Hanarum Yakju were 4.14 and 4.07, respectively, and those of the other Yakjus, 3.92~3.98. The total titratable acid content of the Yakju for which Indica rice was imported from Thailand was highest among the samples. The reducing sugars content of the Yakju for which Indica rice was used was higher than that of the other samples. The ethanol content of the Hanarum Yakju was higher than that of the other Yakjus, and the lowest ethanol content was found for the Indica Yakju. The major organic acid component of the Yakju was lactic acid. The total organic acid content was highest in the Indica rice Yakju. The amounts of the following main fusel oils were highest, in the following order: 2-butyl alcohol, 2-pentanol, N-propyl alcohol, acetaldehyde, ethyl acetate, methyl alcohol and 2-methyl-1-propyl alcohol. The DPPH free radical scavenging activity of the Indica rice Yakju was much higher than that of the Ilmi rice Yakju and the Hanarum rice Yakju. Also, the SOD activity of the Indica rice Yakju was strongest among all the samples. The total polyphenol content of the Indica rice Yakju was the highest among all the samples.
