This study is aimed to investigate the difference of leisure time use of elderly groups clustered with demographic factors and finally produce the leisure profile. A total 5392 time diaries, filled up by 65-years old and over in 2009 Time Use Survey, were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, correlation, cluster analysis, and ANOVA accompanied with the Scheffe's tests. The subjects could be clustered into 7 groups such as still working, work than leisure, hobby with friends, various leisure in a city, with religion and friendship, working and doing leisure in their spare time, and leisure in suburb based upon demographic factors such as age, gender, spouse, education, job, income and living area. The data also revealed that the clusters had different time use patterns in pursuing leisure. Overall, leisure in later life could be influenced by working status, and play an important role in filling their loss of job or spouse. The findings could help us plan upcoming leisure program and policies for the elderly.

The main purpose of this study was to empirically investigate the effects of participation behavior and performance improvement on motivation factors of Korean university students which participated in LINC by utilizing Vroom's Expectancy Theory. Three motivation factors of valence, instrumentality, and expectancy were examined in this study. In addition, two different models (valence and force model) analyzed the causal relationships regarding participation behavior and performance improvement. 236 data were collected and findings of this study were as follows: First, comparative analysis between demographic characteristics including university, major, and residence had no significant differences in mean value. However, females had higher levels of recognition related to valence (attractiveness) relative to males. Second, valence and the force model were significant predictors of LINC participation behavior and performance improvement. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination and beta coefficient of the force model were higher compared with the valence model. Third, the level of mediation effects including direct, indirect, and total effect of the force model was higher than the valence model. LINC participation behavior had a partial mediating effect between the three motivation factors and performance improvement variable.
The purpose of this study is to carry out the exploratory study on the easiness of using smart phone applications for searching food service information based on consumer characteristics. Examining the attributes of the easiness of using smart phone applications for searching food service information, this study checks the order of priority in the attributes and analyzes the correlation among the constructs of easiness of use, along with the difference in easiness of use based on demographic characteristics. The survey was conducted to the users of smart phones who live in 3 areas such as Seoul/Kyongki, Daegu/Kyongbuk, and Busan/Kyongnam from Jan. 3-Feb. 3, 2011, and total 264 copies of questionnaire were used for the final analysis. The result showed that the respondents considered the functions of searching restaurants, recommended restaurants, and the popularity list more important among the measurement items of easiness of use, and there was highly positive correlation between easiness to select restaurants and communication functions among all the factors drawn. It was found that there was significant difference in the function of searching restaurants, practicality, the easiness to select restaurants, communication, and the easiness to select menu on areas.

Objectives : As the prevalence of elderly depression increases, it becomes urgent problem to provide preventive and management measures. But in practice, it is difficult to detect depression in early stage. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the association between sociodemographic factors and depression in elderly welfare facility users in a city. Methods : In this research, the severity of depression and sociodemographic factors(gender, age, education, co-morbid disease, housing type, number of children, number of family members living with the subjects) was evaluated through PHQ-9 and interview. Using the data, the associations of depression and sociodemographic factors were analyzed. Based on PHQ-9 depression cut-off value(10 points), the subjects were divided into two groups, and the difference of the variables between groups were analyzed statistically. Results : 'Own house'(YES/NO), education(less than elementary school graduation/more than elementary school graduation) were sociodemographic factors which showed significance difference in mean PHQ-9 scores. Group with Over PHQ-9 10 points showed less 'having their own house' and less education level than group with less PHQ-9 10 points. Conclusions : With this research, it is expected that the risk factors for the elderly depression can be understood and the measures for early detection and invention of elderly depression would be provided.

Innovation in university library spaces is challenging to effectively support the education of the university's future learning and innovation capabilities, including creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration. The purpose of this study is to investigate the perception and need of library space from the perspective of users and librarians, and to suggest the direction of space innovation through this. For this study, we designed each questionnaire for users and librarians, and collected responses from 363 users and 186 librarians in the university library to analyze their needs and perceptions about their library space. The librarian's need for the space was analyzed by the size of the library and the demographic factors of the librarian. The user's need was analyzed by the user's attributes. In addition, we analyzed the differences between librarians and users for the need for space and space services. The results of this paper may be useful for reference when planning a new library or building a space based on user.
This study aim to demonstrate and categorize the status of level of mobile information utilization of the 2030 youth generation, and to identify factors that may affect the digital divide within the generation. For this purpose, 1779 data were analyzed using materials for the 2018 digital divide survey in Korea Ministry of Science and ICT. According to the level of information utilization, the consumers were categorized into three types : reference group (46.5%), high utilization group (27.2%), and low utilization group (26.3%). There were statistically significant differences in demographics variable, consumer capabilities, living satisfaction by type of consumer. In addition, the factors influencing the digital divide of the high utilization group and low utilization group were identified compared to the reference group. It is meaningful that this study confirmed the actual gap of information utilization and raised the possibility of the digital divide within the 2030 youth generation.

Secondly, ANOVA results in age had statistically significant in predisposing, enabling, health${\cdot}$QOL factor, area had statistically significant in health${\cdot}$QOL factor, also, economic had statistically significant in reinforcing, oral health behavior. Thirdly, in CATREG analysis, oral health behavior as the response variable results in had statistically significant in sex, predisposing, reinforcing, enabling factor and its explanation was 28.3%. Lastly, in CATREG analysis health${\cdot}$QOL as the response variable results in had statistically significant in age, number of tooth, enabling, oral health behavior factor and its explanation was 17.9%. So, results from this data we could contribute to identify oral health behavior patterns in Gyeongsangnam-do area residents.
This study examines how the rate of transition between employment and non-employment changes with the business cycle using monthly panel data constructed from 2000-2013 Korea Labor and Income Panel Study(KLIPS). In particular, we investigate whether the transition rates are different across demographic groups when the labor market is depressed. We find that, as the labor market weakens, the transition rate into non-employment significantly increases. The rates of transition into non-employment are substantially higher for female, older and less educated groups than those for male, prime-aged and more educated groups.
