The Change of Management Methods on Iksan and the rearrangement of Sabi by Baekje (백제의 익산 경영 방식의 전환과 사비(泗沘) 재정비)

  • In this article, I examine the transformation of the Iksan Royal Palace into a temple. And it was considered to mean a change in the way Iksan was managed by Baekje. The Iksan Royal Palace was converted into a temple between the establishment of Mireuksa Temple and Stone Pagoda. As a result, the transfer of the capital to Iksan was not achieved, and Iksan was transformed into a temple-centered city. In connection with this, the need to re-establishment the urban system in Sabi was increased, as it suffered a great flood in the Muwang era. As a result, the scope of the royal palace was expanded, the secondary palace was built, and the urban district was expanded throughout the capital city. It is presumed that King Mu gave a divine nature to Iksan and discriminated against Sabi. Accordingly, it is believed that the King Mu or King Uija stopped developing the city in Iksan and focused on the rearrangement of Sabi.

  • This article examined the burial type, wooden coffin and its historical significance of Iksan Ssangneung, the royal tombs of Baekje. Ssangneung was found to be the royal tombs of King Mu(武王) and queen through the burial type, wooden coffin, articles such as chinese jade ornaments and the deep relationship between King Mu and Iksan region. The reason of constructing Baekje royal tombs in Iksan region can be examined at many aspects. First, Iksan was a very important place for King Mu. Because Iksan was the basis of his political growth. Also, Iksan was a important geopolitical location in relation with Silla(新羅). For this reason, Iksan was developed in earnest. The construction of major facilities such as royal palace and temples in Iksan suggest the transfer of the capital from Sabi(泗?) or the preparation and partial execution at least. However, the transfer of the capital was not completed. It can be seen as the incomplete city. However, even after King Mu Iksan was maintained as the important region by King Euja(義慈王). It can be seen through the maintenance of great temples such as Jeseoksa(帝釋寺) and Mireuksa(彌勒寺) built at later period of King Mu and royal palace area, even though royal palace had turned into the temple. These inherited consciousness may have been embodied in the act of building royal tombs of King Mu and queen.

Effect of Harvest Time on Yield and Feed Value of Whole Crop Barleys with Different Awn Types (망 특성이 다른 청보리의 수확시기별 수량 및 사료가치)

  • This study was conducted to obtain basic a information on growth characteristics, productivity, and feed values of whole crop barleys with different awn types. The field experiments were conducted on land at Iksan, Jeollabuk-do province in Korea for one year. Six barleys with three different awn types, such as Youngyang (rough), Yuyeon (hood), Youho (hood), Iksan449 (hood), Iksan456 (hood), and Iksan448 (awnless), were used in this study. Barleys were harvested on five growth stages after (DAH); 20 days after heading (20 DAH), 25 DAH, 30 DAH, 35 DAH, and 40 DAH. Heading was earlier in Yuyeon (April 22), while was later in Iksan448 (April 29). The maximum dry matter and total digestible nutrients (TDN) yields, 11.8 and 8.1 ton per ha, respectively, was recorded in Ikan456 harvested at 35~40 DAH, followed by Youngyang, Yuyeon, Iksan448, Youho and the lowest in Iksan449. They were increased significantly with advancing crop maturity. Crude protein content was the highest in Iksan448 (10.9%) and the lowest in Youho (9.7%) and that was decreased significantly with late harvest. Total digestible nutrients (TDN) and relative feed value (RFV) were the highest in Iksan448 (73.0%, 183.8, respectively) and the lowest in Iksan456 (68.0%, 135.4, respectively) and they were increased significantly with late harvest. The mean RFV evaluated by awn types was the highest in Iksan448 (183.8) of awnless, the lowest in Youho (149.5) and Iksan456 (135.4), indicated the insufficiency of hooded type barleys as good fodder use. Therefore, in this study suggest that hooded barley should improve forage productivity as well as quality.

  • 지난호 상편에서는 전주ㆍ익산ㆍ군산의 역사적 배경과 전주의 도시 건축에 대한 지역성을 탐색했다. 이에 이어 하편에서는 전주의 역사와 문화 그리고 익산과 군산의 도시 건축을 탐색해 보고자 한다. 상편에서도 언급했듯이 전북을 대표하는 3개의 도시, 전주, 익산, 군산은 지리적 특성과 역사적 특성으로 인해 동일 문화권이지만 지켜온 현상들에서 서로 다르며 격리된 느낌의 단부소외성을 지니고 있다. 전북은 우선 완주, 익산, 고창에 이르는 백제, 마한의 평야와 해안의 문화권과 이씨왕조의 본향으로 고도의 특색을 지닌 도시문화권인 전주권, 거대한 산세를 자랑하는 지리산의 자연과 맥을 같이하는 남원군역으로 크게 대별 되어진다. 전북지방의 건축문화적 토대는 여타의 문화와 동일하게 백제의 숨결속에서 느낄 수 있다. 화려함도, 아기자기함도 없지만 있는 그대로, 한국의 정서를 압축한 듯 절박함을 바탕으로 한 백제의 문화적 속성을 지니고 있다. 한편 지나간 시절의 영화가 현재에 재현되거나 지속되고 있지는 못하나 지난 삶의 자취에서, 이곳 사람들의 인정에서, 맛의 문화에서 그 깊이와 멋의 가닥을 찾을 수 있다. 현대의 도시들은 이러한 도시형성상의 문화적 지혜나 건축적 혜안을 관찰하여 이루어지고 있는지 못하다. 우리의 최근의 역사들은 연약하지도, 섬세하지도 않고 오히려 일시에 옛 자취를 휩쓸어 버리는 강성을 지녀 혼이 담긴 과거의 흔적을 유지하기 쉽지 않다. 우리는 이러한 현상을 주시하였고, 옛 백제 문화의 정신을 토대로 성장하고 있는 현재의 모습들을 관찰하며 반성도 했고, 이어지고 남겨져야 할 이 고장의 특성을 헤아렸다. 마지막으로 이 고장의 미래가 발전적이기를 염원도 해본다.

  • `안전'업무는 상당 수준의 공학관련 기술과 지식을 요하는 분야다. 때문에 기술직이나 관련 전공자가 아니면 업무를 수행하기가 매우 어렵다. 그래서 유능한 안전인 중에는 인문사회계열 출신이 극히 드물다. 한솔홈데코 익산공장의 박영수 과장이 바로 이런 드문 케이스 중의 하나다. 그는 교육학을 전공하고, 인사총무파트를 담당하다 뒤늦게 안전업무를 맡았다. 안전은커녕 기계와 산업현장도 잘 모르던 그였다. 하지만 그는 포기하지 않는 노력과 열정으로 한솔홈데코 익산공장을 우수 안전 사업장의 반열에 당당히 올려놓았다. 또 그 공로를 인정받아 대통령 표창을 수상하기까지 했다. "이제와 돌이켜보니 자신은 천상 안전인 자질을 타고났던 것 같다"고 웃음 지으며 말하는 그를 만나 이야기를 나눠봤다.

  • 최정예 전투부사관을 육성 배출하는 육군부사관학교인 충용대가 있는 전북 익산시 여산면 여산리에는 410두(암소 250두, 거세우 160두) 규모의 '이반농장'이 있다. 1993년 익산만의 쇠고기의 육질과 맛을 내는 고기 생산을 위해 연구모임이 조성되었다. 이근수 대표는 초대 익산황토우의 회장을 역임하면서 소 브랜드화를 위한 노력의 일환으로 소도시에서는 실험적이라고 할 수 있는 황토우 전문판매장의 운영이나 고기를 숙성하여 진공포장 판대 등 그 시대에는 획기적인 판매방법을 시도하였다. 그러나 소비자의 무관심과 너무 앞서가는 판매방법으로 결국 전문판매장은 접고 생산에만 주력하게 되었다.

Comparative research on urban image assets of Iksan by analysing bigdata (빅데이터 분석을 통한 익산의 도시 이미지 자산 비교 연구)

  • Iksan is one of medium city in Jellabukdo, South Korea. It has a favorable natural environment for the specialization potential of natural industries and development projects. In addition, it has various historical and cultural resources including Mireuksajji, and KTX Honam line which has been opened for a representative feature as transport city. However, it faces week connection with neighboring cities and large scale of development in neighboring areas, especially in Jeonju and Gunsan. In this paper, we try to classify the urban image assets of Iksan as 'Iksan Station' and 'ktx' on keywords and analyze the possibility of being a center of transportation and logistics through big data analysis extracted from SNS and website. In comparison with Gwangju Songjeong, KTX Honam line station, which has been developed with similar regional characteristics, it is aimed to establish the basis of improvement and establishment of urban image of Iksan city in the future.

Effects of Valproic Acid on the Survival of Human Tennon's Capsule Fibroblasts (발프로익산이 인체 테논낭 섬유아세포의 생존에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: To investigate the effects of valproic acid on the survival of cultured human Tenon's capsule fibroblasts (HTFBs). Methods: Primary cultured HTFBs were exposed to 0, 0.25, 0.5, and 1.0 mM valproic acid with or without 0, 1.0, $2.5{\mu}g/mL$ mitomycin C, and incubated for 5 days. Cell survival was assessed using an MTT (3-[4, 5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay and the degree of apoptosis was assessed by flow cytometry using annexin-V/propidium iodide double staining. Results: Valproic acid decreased the survival of HTFBs in a dose-dependent manner, and survival was further decreased by adding mitomycin C to valproic acid. Both valproic acid and mitomycin C induced apoptosis of HTFBs. Valproic acid induced less apoptosis than mitomycin C. Conclusions: Valproic acid decreased the cellular survival of HTFBs and induced apoptosis. The antiproliferative effects of valproic acid were further enhanced by the addition of mitomycin C.

An Analysis of the Fault Plane Solution and Intensity on the Iksan Earthquake of 22 December 2015 (2015년 12월 22일 발생한 익산지진의 단층면해와 진도 분석)

  • Fault plane solutions of the Iksan earthquake ($M_L=3.85$) and two aftershocks were obtained using the FOCMEC (FOCal MEChanism determination) program. The main event showed the characteristic of strike slip faulting with reverse component. It has the fault planes with NE-SW or NW-SE direction. This is similar to the fault characteristics of earthquake pattern in the inland area of the Korean Peninsula. In order to detect micro-earthquake events, continuous seismic waveform data of the thirteen seismic stations within a radius of 100km from epicenter were analyzed by PQLII program (PASSCAL, 2017) for the period from December 15, 2015 to January 22, 2016. The epicenters of nineteen micro-events were newly determined by Hypoinverse-2000 program. They are not concentrated along some lineaments or fault lines. The intensity of the Iksan earthquake was obtained by estimating the telephone inquiries, the degree of ground shaking or damage all around the southern peninsula. The instrumental intensity was also obtained using PGA (Peak Ground Acceleration) records. As a result, the maximum MM intensity was estimated to be V near the epicenter.
