QR Code Based Mobile Dual Transmission OTP System (QR 코드를 이용한 모바일 이중 전송 OTP 시스템)

  • In order to improve the security strength in the password based user authentication, in which the security vulnerability is increased while the same password is repeatedly used, the OTP(One-Time Password) system has been introduced. In the OTP systems, however, the user account information and OTP value may be hacked if the user PC is infected by the malicious codes, because the user types the OTP value, which is generated by the mobile device synchronized with the server, directly onto the user PC. In this paper, we propose a new method, called DTOTP(Dual Transmission OTP), to solve this security problem. The DTOTP system is an improved two-factor authentication method by using the dual transmission, in which the user performs the server authentication by typing the user account and password information onto the PC, and then for the OTP authentication the mobile device scans the QR code displayed on the PC and the OTP value is sent to the server directly. The proposed system provides more improved security strength than that of the existing OTP system, and also can adopt the existing OTP algorithm without any modification. As a result, the proposed system can be safely applied to various security services such like banking, portal, and game services.

The password-based authentication scheme for authenticated key exchange is the most widely-used user authentication method due to various advantages, such as human-memorable simplicity, convenience, mobility, A specific hardware device is also unnecessary, This paper discusses user authentication via public networks and proposes the Split Password-based Authenticated Key Exchange (SPAKE), which is ideal for both authenticating users and exchanging session keys when using a subsequent secure communication over untrusted network, And then we provides EAP authentication framework EAP-SPAKE by using it.

  • An electronic cash system has to provide the security, to prevent the double spending and to support the divisibility of electronic cash for the easy of use. Divisible electronic cash system allows an electronic cash to be divided into subdivisions. Each subdivision is worth any desired value, but all values must add up to the original cash value. Divisible scheme brings some advantages. It reduces to make the change and also there is no necessity that a customer must withdraw a cash of the desired value whenever transactions occur. In this paper, we present an electronic cash protocol which provides the divisibility based on the double hash chain technique. Electronic cash is constructed in the form of coins. The divisibility of an electronic cash is satisfied by the payment certificate, which is a pair of bank´s proxy signature received from the bank. When a customer pays the coin of subdivision, the fairness of that coin is certified by a customer´s signing instead of a bank. Although the proposed method does not guarantee user´s anonymity, it generates coins which cannot be forged, and the customer can use an electronic cash conveniently and efficiently with its divisibility.

  • This paper describes the biometrics system for user authentication in electronic commerce. At present, social demands are increasing for information security techniques against the information wiretapping in open communications network. For this, these techniques such as anti-virus, firewall, VPN, authentication, cryptography, public key based systems and security management systems have been developed. This Paper discusses the user authentication for the implementation of efficient electronic payment systems. In particular. user authentication system has keen developed using biometrics techniques and the effectiveness of this paper is demonstrated by several experiments.

  • A new optical one-time pattern password(OTPT) mutual authentication method is proposed, which presents a two-factor authentication by 2-step phase-shifting digital holography and performs a two-way authentication by a challenge-response handshake of the optical OTPT in both directions. Because a client and a server use OTPT once as a random number and encrypt it for mutual authentication, it protects against a replay or a man-in-the middle attack and results in higher security level.

  • 최근 성장하고 있는 드론 산업에 맞추어 전세계적으로 드론 운용을 위한 식별 및 인증 규정을 마련하고 있는 추세이다. 대표적으로, 미국 FAA 에서 채택한 Remote ID 기반의 식별방식이 있다. 그러나, ID 기반의 인증 방식은 해당 ID 가 탈취 혹은 위조될 경우 다른 드론으로 위장하여 여러 심각한 사회 문제를 일으킬 위험성이 있다. 따라서 드론에 탑재된 여러 센서나 모터와 같은 하드웨어의 고유한 특성을 이용하여 Remote ID 를 대체하거나 이중 인증에 이용하려는 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 드론에 탑재된 하드웨어의 고유특성을 이용한 다양한 식별 및 인증시스템에 대한 연구에 대하여 살펴본다.

  • The current security issue for the Internet is focused on the security for user data. On the other hand, the research on the security for routing protocols is not so active, considering the importance of its role for the harmonious and accurate operation of the Internet. In this paper, we investigate the security problems of the link-state routing protocol which has been employed in the Internet, and suggest a new authentication mechanism for routing messages which complements and extends the previous ones. For this purpose, a concept of dual hash chains is newly introduced, which is provably secure, and we explain how to provide both the integrity and source authentication service for routing messages based on the session hash chains.
