Design of Dual loop PLL with low noise characteristic (낮은 잡음 특성을 가지기 위해 이중 루프의 구조를 가지는 위상고정루프 구현)

  • In this paper, a phase locked loop structure with parallel dual loop which have a different bandwidth has been proposed. The bandwidths depending on transfer functions are obtained through dual loops. Two different bandwidths of each loop are used to suppress noise on the operating frequency range. The proposed phase locked loop has two different voltage controlled oscillator gains to control two different wide and narrow loop filters. Furthermore, it has the locking status indicator to achieve an accurate locking condition. The phase margin of $58.2^{\circ}$ for wide loop and $49.4^{\circ}$ for narrow loop is designed for stable operation and the phase margin of $45^{\circ}$ is maintained during both loops work together. It has been designed with a 1.8V 0.18um complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) process. The simulation results show that the proposed phase locked loop works stably and generates a target frequency.

Design and Fabrication of a Weathercock-Shaped Double Bandwidth Microstrip Patch Antenna that Combines U-slot and Short-pin for WLAN Systems Systems (WLAN System을 위한 U-slot 및 Short-pin 결합한 바람개비 모양의 이중대역(5.2/5.8GHz) 마이크로스트립 패치 안테나 설계 및 제작)

  • In this paper, IEEE 802.11 based WLAN(5.2/5.8GHz) wideband Weathercock-shaped microstrip patch antenna was designed and manufactured. The antenna has a size of $17.4{\times}17.4mm^2$ and utilized FR-4 board. The size was minimized for mobility, and Weathercock-shaped U-slot and short-pin was inserted to satisfy adequate bandwidth and double bandwidth resonance characteristics. In addition, the antenna incorporated single both-sided patch, and simulation design optimized the Weathercock-shaped, position of the U-slot and the short-pin, and the length of the patch for the measurement. The manufactured antenna achieved a bandwidth of 695MHz from 5.2~5.8GHz zone(Return loss<-10dB). Achieved a beam width of $81.13^{\circ}$ and $85.43^{\circ}$ for 3-dB beam width of H plane and E p;ane radiation pattern, there was 3.17~4.85dBi gain.

  • 유전체가 삽입된 공동 공진기는 유전체에 대부분의 전자계가 집속되어 있기 때문에, 도체 손실이 매우 적고 높은 Q값과 온도 안정성이 뛰어나다. 동일한 주파수에서 동작하는 다른 필터에 비해 상대적으로 작기 때문에 소형화에도 적합하다. 본 논문에서는 유전체가 삽입된 공동 공진기의 전자기 분포와 특성을 수치해석과 HFSS(High Frequency Structure Simulator)를 이용하여 분석하였고 이 결과를 토대로 HFSS를 이용한 순차적 방법을 도입하여 4-pole 이중모드 대역통과 필터를 설계, 제작하였다.

  • In this paper, we presented a new LC prototype synthesis method for the multi-band filter. For synthesis a multi-band filter with the required frequency response, we proposed the diagram of poles and zeros, also, we proposed the optimization process for finding the combination of optimized poles and zeros. From the transfer and reflection functions calculated from poles and zeros, we performed the quasi-elliptic LC prototype synthesis of multi-band filter. Using the proposed LC prototype synthesis method of multi-band filter, dual-band filter operating at GSM(880~960 MHz) and ISM(2,400~2,500 MHz) and triple-band filter operating at GSM(880~960 MHz) and ISM(2,400~2,500, 5,725~5,850 MHz) were designed and fabricated.

  • 본 논문에서는, 위성 중계기 Engineering Model(EM)급 Ka 대역 입력 Demultiplexer (IMUX)의 진폭 및 군지연 등화된 채널 협대역 여파기의 개발/결과가 제시된다. 여파기는 큰 선택성(selectivity)과 작은 대역내 손실로써 동작하기 위해, 8차의 타원적분형 응답특성의 이중모드 결합구조의 특성을 가진다. 그리고 여파기 출력이 가지는 급한 변화의 군지연과 대역내 진폭은 2극(Pole) 등화기에 의해 평탄하게 된다. 튜닝 및 측정 결과는 요구규격사항을 잘 만족함을 보여준다.

  • 본 논문에서는 듀얼 밴드(UHF: 470-862 MHz, L: 1452-1492 MHz) DVB-H 안테나를 제작하였다. 제안된 안테나는 입력 임피던스 매칭 회로를 이용한 평판형 역 F 안테나(PIFA)로 구성되었다. 급전점에 구성된 매칭 회로는 안테나의 광대역(UHF: 470-862 MHz: 63%) 동작특성을 만족시킨다. 제시된 안테나는 전방향적 방사특성을 가지며 상용 모바일(PMP)에 적용가능한 충분한 이득(최대이득: 1.70dBi)을 보인다. 또한 안테나는 유전율($\varepsilon_r$ = 3.2)인 PMP 케이스에 부착되어 상용 모바일용으로 소형화 되었다.

  • In this study, a novel dual band planar monopole antenna for wireless local area network (WLAN)/ Worldwide Interoperability of Microwave Access (WiMAX) application was designed, fabricated, and measured. The proposed antenna consists of two hook shaped strips, an asymmetric ground plane, and a rectangular slit in the ground plane. Acceptable agreements between the measured and simulated results are achieved. Numerical and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed antenna satisfies the 10 dB impedance bandwidth requirement while covering the WLAN and WiMAX bands simultaneously. This paper also presents and discusses the 2D radiation patterns and 3D gains according to the results of the experiment that was conducted.

  • A new structure of double-resonant cylindrical monopole is proposed for multiple band applications. Multiple band property for the proposed antenna is achieved by adjusting the coupling structure of the antenna base for a double resonance. Measured results of the proposed antenna are compared with those of wire and thick cylinder monopoles.

  • It is needed to develop an antenna with features of subminiature, light weight and multi-band operation for the variaty services in maritime and industrial fields. The PCB pattern antenna is one of the appropreiate antennas solving these requirements. In this research, the design and fabrication of the PCB pattern antenna operating on the single band of 920 MHz are investigated. The final goal is that the development of the dual band PCB pattern antenna operating on 260 MHz and 920 MHz, which is based on the proposed antenna. It is evident that the performance in the frequencies of 902 MHz, 915 MHz and 928 MHz among of 920 MHz ISM band is better than that in other frequencies. It is also confirmed that the differences of the voltage standing wave ratio, return loss, gain and efficiency between three frequencies are less than 5%. It is expected that the development of communication link of 5-10 km is possible when the induced results are applied into the low power wide area (LPWA) network desinged by the rule of -30 dB sensitivity.

  • In this paper, a dual band electrical beam tilting array antenna with bi-directional directivity is designed. Radiating element operates at dual-resonance frequencies and is designed as planar dipole using PCB. In order to tilt the main beam, the phase delay line is designed by use of only the phase shifting line of a $50\Omega$ microstrip line for broadband. The designed antenna has tilting angle of $0^{\circ}$ to ${\pm}8^{\circ}$. For validation of the designed antenna specification, the array antenna is fabricated and the performances are measured. Comparison between theory and experiment shows good agreement.
