  • The purpose of this study is analyze the impact on users' cognition of design concept, satisfaction of design concept, adapted park space, and effect of design concepts on park use satisfaction. The study sites are Central Mountain Park and Lake Park in Gwanggyo New Town, Suwon. We analyzed importance-satisfaction of park facilities in the park and preference-satisfaction of park. The results of this study are as follows. First, generally users visit the park as a family unit. Second, trails got high scores in importance-satisfaction of park facilities. Third, park users' satisfaction received a high score generally, but it doesn't show statistic significance with users' cognition of design concept. Fourth, cognition of the two parks' design concept and design strategy got a high score - over three points on average - based on the 5 - point Likert scale. However, upon analysis of users' cognition of design concept and satisfaction of design concept adapted park space, there is no statistic significance. Therefore, we noticed that the park's design concept had an effect on park users' satisfaction; rather, personal preference and satisfaction of users had more impact on satisfaction. On the other hand, this study was limited in that we didn't survey across all four seasons and had few target areas. But it has some significance in that we used a visual documentation, attaching existing photos including design concept, to increase users' understanding. Also, we directly asked about the parks' user design concept and strategy.

To do this, four gratification factors, 'transportability and accessibility', 'liveliness and variety', 'availability and economic feasibility', 'relationship', were assessed. To investigate competition level among three game platforms, niche breadth, niche overlap, competitive superiority of four gratification factors were analyzed. The results of niche analysis show that mobile platform appeared as a most competitive platform because it utilized diverse resources for game user gratification and had competitive superiority in 'transportability and accessibility' which appeared as most important factor determining user's gratification. • Using user satisfaction surveys and LibQUAL+ instruments, libraries are increasingly gathering qualitative data such as verbatim user comments as well as quantitative data. Such qualitative data can be utilized as clues in establishing library service strategies: to better understand user issues, to identify areas for service improvement, and to prioritize user needs. For this, it is necessary to analyze user comments data and to apply results to the delivery of service and the library policies. This study is an attempt to investigate ways in which user comments data can be made useful in libraries. It identifies different methods of analyzing user comments data from LibQUAL+ surveys and compares qualitative data analysis software programs and taxonomies. It also presents the results of applying these tools to a subset of actual user comments data gathered from a recent LibQUAL+ survey at a major university library in Korea.

  • This study explores the potential of using a library chatbot to improve the non-face-to-face digital reference services for academic library users by designing and implementing a library chatbot. Through data analysis, user needs and library services were analyzed, and a scenario was designed by selecting an appropriate development method. For user-friendly interaction, the personality of the chatbot and user interface was designed to evaluate its usability. In addition, the accuracy was verified through the response accuracy evaluation and performance evaluation of the chatbot, and the effectiveness of the chatbot was evaluated through a user satisfaction survey. In order to manage the operation and maintain service quality, the chatbot is improved by monitoring user-chatbot conversations and reflecting user feedback. Based on these findings, recommendations for designing and implementing a library chatbot were made to help improve library reference services.

  • The purpose of this study is to derive the suggestion of satisfaction of e-book services on the basis of the recent literature on quality assessment for e-service which have been mainly studied on library realm. For this purpose, This study added post-management service which is applicable to measure satisfaction of e-book services based on E-S-Qual and Libqual. We expand our scope of service to using of e-book content and services for individual customers, and analyzed the relationship between satisfaction with the system, the content, the after-sale service. On this foundation, existing e-book service companies can offer their services more efficiently, thereby making the e-book content more diverse, along with developing specialized e-book service to increasing their customer's satisfaction. In addition, the latest and diversity is important as well. Moreover, performing rapid post-management services after the sale of the product or service, can be important variables for customer satisfaction. Therefore, not only the system and content, providing required level post-management services by customers can satisfy the existing customers and create new customers.
