  • The purpose of study is to investigate the flame stability and Structure of turbulent diffusion flame behind the hollowed flame holder, which is located on the waste gas coming out from the test furnace. Fluctuating temperature and ion current measurement and their statistical treatment were used for the purpose. Three types of flame were stabilized and each of which were changed by adequate equivalence ration. And we found that have no periodicity near reacting zone.

  • The chief factors for the penetration and diffusion of chloride ions in concrete are water-cement ratio(w/c), aging, thickness of cover concrete, chloride ions concentration of given environment, wet and dry conditions and etc. In this study, effect of w/c and aging on the characteristics of chloride ions diffusion in concrete were researched when environmental factors for the penetration and diffusion of chloride ions were constant. For this purpose, the voltages passing through the diffusion cell were measured by using accelerated test method using potential difference, and then diffusion coefficients of chloride ions by using Andrade's method were estimated for 44%, 49.5% and 55% of w/c, respectively. As a result, correlation among diffusion coefficients of chloride ions, w/c and aging were concluded through multiple regression model.

  • It is important to decide the precise chloride diffusion coefficient in order to predict the durability plan of concrete structure chloride and prediction of remaining lifetime. However, the inland references are limited to the rapid test in laboratory. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the established data, which are restricted by chloride diffusion coefficient, and to examine the prediction of the concrete structure durability by an FEM interpretation and the chloride diffusion coefficient as a variable.

  • The diffusion model, which considers diffusion and sorption, is proposed. The FEM program developed on the basis of the diffusion model provides the estimation of chloride concentration according to cyclic humidity and sorption. After the humidity diffusion analysis is carried out, the chloride ion diffusion and sorption analysis are conducted on the basis of the preestimated humidity data in each element. Each element has different analysis variables at different ages and locations. At early ages, the difference between inner and outer relative humidity causes the chloride ion penetration by sorption. As the humidity diffusion reduces the difference with age, the effect of sorption on the chloride ion penetration decreases. By the way, the cyclic humidity increases the effect of sorption on the chloride ion penetration at early ages, and the quantity of chloride ion around steel at later ages. Therefore, the in situ analysis of chloride ion penetration for marine concrete structures must be performed considering the cyclic humidity condition and the long term sorption.

  • 이동 전자기기 혹은 이동 전원에 적용 가능한 휴대용 Fuel Cell에 필요한 재료는 놀은 전력을 요구하는 주택용이나 무공해 자동차용 및 대형발전 장비용 Fuel Cell과는 다르게 이해되어야 한다. 휴대용 Fuel Cell은 상온, 상압에서 작동되어야 하고 Fuel Cell의 효율을 높이기 위한 여러가지 주변 장치들이 제거 혹은 소형화 되어야 하므로, 이러한 열악한 조건에 적합한 재료의 개발이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 휴대용 Fuel Cell이 요구하는 촉매층, 확산전극, 수소이온 전도막 재료 및 Stack 혹은 Cell Pack의 개념에 대해 설명하고자 하며, 본 연구소에서 개발한 소형 PEMFC(MEA : 400㎽/㎠-무가습 수소/공기, 1 Bar, 30℃, Membrane: 0.1S/㎝; Stack : 40W)와 소형 DMFC (MEA : 50㎽/㎠-5M 메탄올 Passive, 상온 ; MEA : 100㎽/㎠ 2M 메탄올-Active, 1Bar, 상온 ; Membrane : Hybrid : Cell Pack : 2W)와 관련한 기술내용 및 상용화 전망에 대하여 언급하였다.

  • It is known that chloride ion in concrete destroys the passive film of reinforcement inside concrete and accelerates corrosion which is the most influencing factor to durability of concrete structures. In this thesis, a chloride ion diffusion model for blast furnace slag(BFS) concrete, which has better resistance to both damage due to salt and chloride ion penetration than ordinary portland cement concrete, is proposed by modifying existing model of normal concrete. Proposed model is verified by comparing diffusion analysis results with both results by indoor chloride penetration test for specimens and field test results for actual RC bridge pier. Also, the optimum resistance condition to chloride penetration is obtained according to degrees of fineness and replacement ratios of BFS concrete. As a result, resistance to chloride ion penetration for BFS concrete is more affected by replacement ratio than degree of fineness.

  • Since the mechanism of chloride diffusion and its ratio in concrete depend on structural conditions and concrete as a micro-structure, if these are analyzed quantitatively, the long-term ageing of structures can be predicted. Although, a quantitative analysis of concrete micro-structure, in which the results are affected by various parameters, is very difficult, this can be done indirectly by the durability test of concrete. In this study, the compressive strength, void ratio and air permeability of concrete. In this study, the compressive strength, void ratio and air permeability of concrete are chosen as the parameters in concrete durability test, and these effects on test results are analysed according to changes of mixing properties. The relationships between parameters and chloride diffusion velocity is used for prediction models of chloride diffusion. The developed prediction models for the chloride diffusion according to mixing and physical properties, can be used to estimate the service life and corrosion initiation of reinforcing bars in marine structures.

  • Generally, concrete is one of the most widely used construction materials, because of its good durability to cost ratio. However, when subjected to severe environments its durability can significantly decline due to various harmful conditions. In this article, we would like to investigate a chloride ion diffusion of cement matrix with inert filler, which ground calcium carbonate(GCC). For the experimental results of the chloride ion diffusion, as the addition of GCC makes decreasing the permeability by micro-filler effect, the matrix of 5-15% ratio of replacement are superior to the GCC0 mortar matrix with respect to durability of cement matrix in this scope.

  • A chloride is an important deteriorating factor which governs the durability of the reinforced-concrete structures under marine environments. Also, the main penetration mechanism of chloride ion into concrete is a diffusion phenomenon and numerous methods have been proposed to determine the diffusion coefficient of chloride ion quickly. In this study, electrically accelerated experiments were carried out in order to evaluate diffusion coefficient of the chloride ion into concrete. The methods were diffusion cell test method in which the voltage of 15V(DC) was applied. The type of cement is blended cement in which the admixtures of blast-furnace slag and fly ash were used. In conclusion, the diffusion coefficient of chloride ion is much affected according to mineral admixtures and the diffusion coefficient of ternary blended cement showed very low values. it is presumably said that this result is due to highly densified pore structures by the aid of slag substitution and pozzolanic activity of fly ash.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the NOx emission of turbulent diffusion flame formed in the after burner, which is located on the waste gas coming out from the test furnace. Three types of flame was tested and each of which was changed by adequate equivalence ratio. It is necessary to study more about NOx reduction effect in the after burner system.
