Nonlinear Fracture Analysis of Concrete Structures Based on Stress-Strain Relation (응력(應力)-변형도관계(變形度關係)를 이용(利用)한 콘크리트 구조(構造)의 비선형파괴해석(非線型破壞解析))

  • Developed is a nonlinear fracture theory which can model the complex fracture behavior of concrete. This theory is based on the nonlinear behavior due to progressive microcracking and strain-softening in the fracture process zone of concrete cracks. The simplified realistic fracture model which preserves the same fracture energy for the different fracture process zone widths is also derived. By modeling fracture through stress-strain behavior, the effect of compressive stresses parallel to the crack plane can be easily taken into account. The comparisons of the present theory with valuable fracture test data available in the literature show good agreements, and the existing linear theory exhibits in many cases large deviations from the actual test results. A simple approximate formula for the fracture energy of concrete which should, be necessary for the fracture analysis of concrete structures is derived. Finally, the application of fracture theory to reinforced concrete and the necessity of further research are discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the seismic behavior of RC bridge piers and to provide the data for developing improved seismic design criteria. The accuracy and objectivity of the assessment process may be enhanced by the use of sophisticated nonlinear finite element analysis program. A computer program, named RCAHEST(reinforced concrete analysis in higher evaluation system technology), for the analysis of reinforced concrete structures was used. Material nonlinearity is taken into account by comprising tensile, compressive and shear models of cracked concrete and a model of reinforcing steel. The smeared crack approach is incorporated. n boundary plane at which each member with different thickness is connected, local discontinuity in deformation due to the abrupt change in their stiffness can be taken into account by introducing interface element. The effect of number of load reversals with the same displacement amplitude has been also taken into account to model the reinforcing steel and concrete. In the companion paper, the proposed numerical method for seismic damage evaluation of RC bridge piers is verified by comparison with the reliable experimental results.

Fault Detection and Diagnosis (FDD) Using Nonlinear Regression Models for Heat Exchanger Faults in Heat Pump System (비선형회귀모델을 이용한 히트펌프시스템의 열교환기 고장에 대한 고장감지 및 진단에 대한 연구)

  • This paper proposed a fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) algorithm using nonlinear regression models, focusing especially on heat exchanger faults. This research concerned four working modes: those with no fault, evaporator fault, condenser fault, and evaporator and condenser faults. This research used no fault mode data to create an FDD algorithm. Using the no fault mode data, correlation functions for predicting the degree of superheat or subcool of heat exchangers (an evaporator and a condenser) were derived. Each correlation function has five inputs and one output. Based on these correlation functions, it is possible to predict the degree of superheat or subcool of each heat exchanger under various working conditions. The FDD algorithm was developed by comparing the predicted value and the simulation value. The FDD algorithm works well in all four working modes.

Growth Model of Sowthistle (Ixeris dentata Nakai) Using Expolinear Function in a Closed-type Plant Production System (완전제어형 식물 생산 시스템에서 선형 지수 함수를 이용한 씀바귀의 생육 모델)

  • The objective of this study was to make growth and yield models of sowthistle (Ixeris dentata Nakai) by using an expolinear functional equation in a closed-type plant production system. The growth and yield of hydroponically-grown sowthistle were investigated under four different planting distances ($15{\times}10$, $15{\times}15$, $15{\times}20$, and $15{\times}25$ cm). Shoot dry weights per plant was the highest at $15{\times}25$ cm, but was the lowest at $15{\times}10$ cm. Shoot dry weights per area was the highest at $15{\times}15$ cm, but was the lowest at $15{\times}25$ cm. The optimum planting density and planting distance for yield of sowthistle were 44 plants/$m^2$ and $15{\times}15$ cm, respectively. Shoot dry weights per plant and per area were showed as an expolinear type functional equation. A linear relationship between shoot dry and fresh weights was observed to be linear regardless of the planting distance. Crop growth rate, relative growth rate and lost time in an expolinear functional equation showed quadratic function form. Radiation use efficiency of sowthistle was $4.3-6.1g{\cdot}MJ^{-1}$. The measured and estimated shoot dry weights showed a good agreement using days after transplanting as input data. It is concluded that the expolinear growth model can be a useful tool for quantifying the growth and yield of sowthistle in a closed-type plant production system.

  • 본 논문은 파라미터의 불확실성을 포함한 비선형 무인 잠수정(autonomous underwater vehicles: AUVs)의 속도 제어를 위한 강인 퍼지 제어기를 제안한다. 효율적이고 안정적인 접근을 위해 불확실성을 포함한 비선형 무인 잠수정의 속도 시스템은 타카기-수게노(Takagi-Sugeno: T-S) 퍼지 모델로 표현된다. 리아푸노프(Lyapunov) 안정도 이론을 이용하여, 무인 잠수정의 제어 성능을 보장하는 선형 행렬 부등식(linear matrix inequality: LMI) 형태의 제어기 설계 조건을 유도한다. 제안된 강인 속도 제어기 성능의 유효성을 검증하기 위해 모의실험을 수행한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 비선형 시스템의 슬라이딩 모드 관측기 설계에 대해서 논의한다. 제어 대상인 비선형 시스템을 모델링 하는데 있어서 Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) 퍼지 모델 기법을 이용하였고, 이 때 발생할 수 있는 모델 불확실성과 외란에 대해 그것의 최대 최소 범위를 안다고 가정하였다. 제안된 시스템의 LMI (Linear Matrix Inequality)를 기반으로 한 슬라이딩 모드 관측기 설계 방법에서는 관측기와 시스템의 차이를 슬라이딩 표면으로 설정한다. 안정한 슬라이딩 표면을 갖는 슬라이딩 관측기의 존재 가능성을 선형 행렬 부등식의 형태로 표현한다. 슬라이딩 모드 관측기 이득은 LMI 존재 조건의 해를 이용하여 구한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 지진 발생시, LRB가 설치된 교량의 시간이력 해석을 수행하였다 이를 위해 LRB의 비선형 거동특성을 Bi-linear로 모형화 하였으며, 기존의 방법인 등가선형으로 모형화된 해석결과와 비교하였다. 또한 LRB받침만 설치된 경우와, LRB받침과 일반탄성받침이 함께 사용된 경우를 해석하여, 받침이 혼합된 경우, 상시하중과 지진하중시 발생할 수 있는 문제점을 검토하였다. 4경간 연속교량에 적용된 해석결과를 보면, LRB만을 설치한 경우, Pot-Bearing만 설치된 경우에 .비해, 고유주기 상승과 이력감쇠에 의한 지진력의 감소와 함께, 지진력의 효과적인 분배를 볼 수 있었으며, 일반탄성받침과의 적절한 조합에 의해서도, 충분한 면진성능을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 LRB의 등가선형 모델이 Bi-linear 모델에 비해 보수적인 해석결과를 나타내었다.

  • In B-ISDN, to realize ATM, the optimum control method of multi-media traffic must be proposed. Because there is not the traffic model of multi-media to make clear, the realization of optimum ATM congestion control is very difficult. In this paper, the traffic model is assumed to be slowly time-variable non-linear function and for real-time prediction of it, new model which is composed with parallel triple neural networks is proposed. And the simulation to predict assumed ATM traffic is executed. From the result, it's capability is shown that the proposed neural network model can be used in ATM congestion control.

  • 비유선형 물체 주위의 유동은 정체유동, 경계층 박리 및 재부착, 주기적 와열의 생성등의 복잡한 유동현상이 공존한다. 이와 같은 유동의 2-방정식 난류모델을 이용한 정확한 예측은 일반적으로 불가능 하다고 인식되어 왔으나, 본 연구에서는 기존의 비교적 단순한 난류모델을 활용한 정사각주 주위의 비정상 난류유동의 예측 가능성을 체계적으로 규명하였다. 적절한 난류모델의 선정과 더불어 시간 정확도, 공간 정확도 및 대류항 처리법 등이 해석의 결과에 미치는 영향을 살펴 보았다. 기존의 표준 κ-ε모델은 정체점 주위에서 난류생성항의 과도한 예측으로 말미암아 재부착 및 와열생성의 정확한 예측이 불가능 하였으나, RNG κ-ε 모델을 사용한 경우 이와 같은 현상을 제거 할 수 있었다. 그러나 이 경우에도 예측의 정확도가 시간 증분, 격자의 크기 및 대류항 처리법 등에 영향을 받았으며, 특별히 대류항 처리법에 따라 상당히 민감하게 변하는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • For the shake of control for movement object, control theory like neural network, nonlinear model predictive control(NMPC) is realized on digital high speed computer. Predictor of flight control system(FCS) based nonlinear model predictive control has to be satisfied with response for hard real-time to perform applications on each module in the FCS. Simultaneously, It gives a serious consideration accuracy to give full play to FCS's performance. Error of mathematical aspect affects realization of whole algorithm. But factors of bring mathematical error is not considered to calculate final accuracy on parameter of predictor. In this paper, Predictor was made using load control model on the digital computer for design FCS at hard real-time and is shown response time on realization algorithm. And is shown realization algorithm of high effective predictor over the accuracy. The predictor was realized on the load control model using Euler method, Heun method, Runge-Kutta and Taylor method.
