The solubility of protein and phytate was measured at various pH's in distilled water and at various concentrations of NaCl, $CaCl_2\;and\;Na_2SO_3$ solutions, and then optimum condition for producing low phytate protein isolate from perilla flour was investigated. The protein solubility in water showed minimum at pH 4.0 and increased at pH higher or lower than 4.0, while phytate solubility was highest at pH 5.0 and decreased at pH higher or lower than 5.0. In NaCl solution, protein solubility was lowest between pH 3.0-4.0, while phytate solubility was high between pH 2.0-5.0 and abruptly decreased above PH 6.0. In $Na_2SO_3$ solution, protein solubility was lowest between pH 2.0-3.0 and phytate solubility showed maximum values between pH $5.0{\sim}6.0$, and it's solubility was low in 3% salt concentration at all pH ranges. In $CaCl_2$ solution, protein solubility in 3% salt concentration was relatively low at all pH ranges, and phytate solubility showed highest values between pH $2.0{\sim}3.0$ and abruptly decreased (1.0%) above pH 4.0. In order to make low phytate protein isolate, defatted perilla flour protein was extracted at pH9.0 and precipitated at pH 4.0 in 3% NaCl solution. The yield of low phytate protein isolate was 61.4% of total protein. This protein was found to contain 0.02% phytate by weight.

In this study we estimated ETCCDI and frequency based precipitation using observed precipitation and precipitation from Representative Concentration Pathway(RCP) scenarios for 58 weather stations which have the recorded data more than 30 years. We tried to eliminate the bias by Quantile Mapping and tested for outliers of simulated data under climate change scenario. Then we estimated ETCCDI related to precipitation and frequency based precipitation for the future. In addition to this study examined the changes of frequency based precipitation for the future target periods. According to the result, dry days will be increased in Korean Peninsula in the 2090s. Also it showed that the number of heavy precipitation day more than 80mm/day tends to be increased in 3~7% in the future. The precipitation of 24-hour duration under climate change will be increased by 17.7% for 80-year frequency, 18.2% for 100-year frequency and 19.6% for 200-year frequency in 2090s. In the 21st century, the damage caused by natural disasters is expected to be increased due to increase of precipitation and the change of runoff characteristics under climate change. Therefore, the proposed ETCCDI and precipitation frequency under climate change are expected to be used for the future natural disaster plan.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the initial tissue change, to repair on the teeth & surrounding tissue under the intrusive orthodontic forces by use of elastic chain, through the microscopic findings. For this study, three young adult mongrel dogs were used, and were divied into three group : the control group was deliveried only casting crown and the experimental group 1 was equipped with energy chain during 1 week and experimental 2 group was deliveried using energy chain during 1 week and 3 weeks observation. All experimental groups and control groups were sacrificed to make the samples for microscopic findings on premolar teeth. All samples were examed and compared the histologic changes through the microscopic with H-E stain. The obtained results were as follows. 1. In hematoxylin-eosin stain of the control group, the periodontal ligament was constant width from apical third to cervical third of the root, and the periodontal fiber arrangement was horizontal or oblique in cervical third, oblique in middle and apical third of the root. 2. In Masson Trichrome stain of the control group, osteoblast and osteoclast appeared in cervical third of root, and bone resorption and new bone formation was observed in middle and apical third of the root. 3. In experimental 1, osteoclasts were increased highly, and hyperemia of blood vessels and new bone formation and bone resorption by reversal line in apical third of the root were seen. PDL width was increased apprarently from crest to apex of the root and more in apical third. 4. In experimental 2, osteoclasts and hyperemia of blood vessels were more increased than control material in apical third of the root. PDL width was increased more than control group in root apex, and was seen less than experimental 1. PDL arrangement was similar to experimental 1 and was mixed only in root apex. Therefore, in premolar intrusion of the young adult dog, there were increased osteoclast, hyperemia and dilation of blood vessel, resorption of alveolar bone and cementum and different arrangement of PDL in initial tissue change. There was not observed complete repair after remove intrusive force.

We propose the asymmetric 2.5Gbps/622Mbps PON(Passive Optical Network) in order to reduce the bandwith of filter at receiver with inverse RZ(Return to Zero) code coded downstream and NRZ(Non Return to Zero) upstream re-modulation. I theoretically analyze BER(Bit Error Rate) performance and the power sensitivity with the optimal threshold level by performing simulation with MATLAB according to the types of downstream data. The results have shown that the optimal threshold level at the optical receiver could be saturated at 0.33 as the optical received power increase more than -26dBm to keep $10^{-12}$ of BER to a minimum. Also the power sensitivity is more improved by about 3dB by fixing the threshold level at 0.33 than the conventional receiver. The proposed system can be a useful technology for optical access networks with asymmetric upstream and downstream data rates because the optical receiver can be used without controlling threshold levels and that does not require a light source in optical network unit (ONU) and its control circuits in the optical line termination (OLT).
The sorption experiment of cobalt was performed after the TRIGA soil was intentionally contaminated with cobalt was found that the sorption equilibrium coeficiency of soil decontamination was high when the ratio of soil mass to the volume of citric acid becomes 1:5 The TRIGA soil contaminated with 0.01 M, 0.001 M, and 0.0001 M of cobalt solution were decontaiminated with 0.01 M citric acid. The cobalt concentrtion in the wastewater were measured to be correspondingly 36.0, 14.0, 1.5 ppm. The results of wastewater recycling experiment by chemical precipitation method revealed that corresponding cobalt removal efficiency were 97% 88%. It was shown that the removal efficiency decreases as the cobalt concentration in the wastewater decreases. During the decontamination experiment, a lot of NaOH had to be added, and the volume of final solid waste reached almost 10% of that of the contaminated soil. The result of wastewater recyling experiment by ion exchange resin meted rethod revealed that to more the strong acid resins are used, the higher the cobalt removal efficiency becomes and the cobalt removal efficiency becomes and the lower the pH of recycling wastewater become. In order to obtain more than 95% removal efficiency, more than 0.625 g of strong acid resin was necessary in each of 3 experiments. There was an unexpected problem that a lot of strong acid resin waste was produced which amounts to 9.2% (volume) of the contaminated soil.
This study has been performed to evaluate the relationship between the remained mineral components in a decalcified bone matrix and an ectopic bone formation efficiency. The freezed rat diaphyseal cortical bones measuring 0.5cm in length were demineralized in heated 0.6N HCl at $60^{\circ}C$ for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 minutes, respectively, using a controlled heat ultrasonic cleaner. Each 1cc of decalcifying solution taken during decalcification procedure was used to calculate calcium content using calcium dignostics kit under 600nm of spectrophotomer. After decalcification, each specimen was also weighed. Then each prepared specimen was implanted into the dorsal pouch of 24 Sprague-Dawley rats divided into 8 groups by time course. The implants were harvested at 1, 2, and 3 weeks and prepared for routine H-E stain specimens to evaluate osteogenic activity. The results are as follows: 1. There was statistical significant difference in change of calcium concentration up to demineralization of 30 minutes and each allogenic bones decalcifed up to 20 minutes revealed 99.65% of decalcification in average. 2. There was statistical significant difference in change of weight in demineralized allogenic bone up to 20 minutes treatment but, no significant change was noted after that time. 3. The histologic analysis revealed active ectopic bone formation in the implanted allografts demineralized for 20, 25, 30 minutes, respectively. However, the other groups of allografts showed relatively poor osteoinductive activity. These findings suggest that complete decalcification with a minimized degeneration of collagen matrix is necessary to induce maximal osteogenesis by decalcified bone allograft.
The purpose of this study was to examine preference for dental hygienists. The subjects in this study were 228 employees in general hospitals located in the region of Busan, on whom a survey was conducted in May and June, 2009. The findings of the study were as follows: As for top priority of dental hygienists' duties, providing assistance for dentist treatment ranked first(28.2%), followed by scaling(23.2%) and preventive duties(20.6%). Concerning a favorable image of a dental hygienist, a cheerful look was most preferred(61.4%), followed by a clean-cut look (32.9%), a refined look (3.5%) and an intellectual look (2.2%). Among the subjects, married respondents exhibited a greater liking for a cheerful look, and the gap between them and the unmarried subjects was statistically significant($x^2=8.11$, p<.05). In terms of uniform preference, a two-piece suit with pants was most favored(76.3%). Female respondents showed a greater preference for a two-piece suit with pants, and the gap between them and the male respondents was statistically significant($x^2=41.09$, p<.001). As for major qualifications, professional knowledge was most valued (49.1%), followed by integrity/responsibility(23.2%), friendliness(22.4%), and a great personality/being well-cultivated(5.3%). Employees who were in their 40s and up placed more importance on integrity and responsibility, and the gap between them and the others was statistically significant($x^2=20.62$, p<.01).
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of mobilization on bone-implant interface prior to osseointegration of fixtures. Materials and methods: The experimental implants (3.75 mm in diameter, 4.0 mm in length) were made of commercially pure (Grade IV) titanium, and were treated with RBM ($MegaGen^{(R)}$: Ca-P). The 80 implants (two in each tibia) were inserted into the monocortical tibias of 20 rabbits which each weighed more than 3.5 kg (Female, New Zealand White). According to the removal torque interval, the groups were divided into 10 groups, Group I (6 wks), Group II (4 days+6 wks), Group III (4 days+1 wk+6 wks), Group IV (1 wk+6 wks), Group V (1 wk+1 wk+6 wks), Group VI (2 wks+6 wks), Group VII (2 wks+ 1 wk+6 wk), Group VIII (3 wks+6 wks), Group IX (3 wks+1 wk+6 wks) and Group X (10 wks). The control groups were Group I and X, the removal torque was measured at 6 wks and 10 wks with a digital torque gauge (Mark-10, USA). In the experimental groups, the removal torque was given once or twice before the final removal torque and the value was measured each time. After which, the implants were put back where they had been except the control groups. All the experimental groups were given a final healing time (6 wks) before the final removal torque test, in which values were compared with the control groups and the 1st and/or 2nd removal torque values in each experimental group. Results: In the final removal torque tests, the removal torque value of Group X (10 wks) was higher than that of Group I (6 wks) in the control groups but not statistically different. There were no significant differences between the experimental groups and control groups (P>.05). In the first removal torque comparison, the experimental groups (4 days or 1 wk) values were significantly lower than the other experimental groups (2 wks or 3 wks). In the comparison of each experimental group according to healing time, the final removal torque value was significantly higher than the 1st torque test value. Conclusion: Once or twice mobilization of fixture prior to osseointegration did not deter the final bone to implant osseointegration, if sufficient healing time was given.
Precise image-to-image registration is required to process multi-sensor data together. The purpose of this paper is to develop an algorithm that register between high-resolution optical and SAR images using linear features. As a pre-processing step, initial alignment was fulfilled using manually selected tie points to remove any dislocations caused by scale difference, rotation, and translation of images. Canny edge operator was applied to both images to extract linear features. These features were used to design a cost function that finds matching points based on their similarity. Outliers having larger geometric differences than general matching points were eliminated. The remaining points were used to construct a new transformation model, which was combined the piecewise linear function with the global affine transformation, and applied to increase the accuracy of geometric correction.
