A study of a motion estimation with the block-based method (Block-Based Method를 이용한 Motion Estimation에 관한 연구)

  • It is difficult that a non-translational motion in a block is estimated by the block matching algorithm (BMA). In this paper, a nodal-displacement-based deformation model is used for this reason. This model assumes that a selected number of control nodes move freely in a block and that displacement of any interior point can be interpolated from nodal displacements. As a special case with a single node this model is equivalent to a translational model. And this model can represent more complex deformation using more nodes. We used an iterative gradient based search algorithm to estimate nodal displacement. Each iteration involves the solution of a simple linear equation. This method is called the deformable block matching algorithm (DBMA).

  • This paper presents an algorithm for evaluating power wheeling effects considering contingency using Monte-Carlo simulation. The effects of power wheeling on generating cost, transmission losses, and system security are considered. And, for a specific operating condition, the effects are quantified by the sensitivity of specific quantities of interest with respect to wheeling level. This model is utilized to calculate probability distribution functions of the incremental effects of power wheeling with a Monte-Carlo simulation. The proposed method is applied to IEEE RTS-96 system and the results are presented.

  • 분류 벡터 양자화(classified vector quantization: CVQ)〔2의 부코드북을 설계함에 있어서, 경쟁 학습 네트워크〔5〕-〔7〕 는 소속도의 이분법적 표현으로 상당한 소속도를 가지는 벡터들이 학습 과정에 무시되는 경향을 가진다. 이를 개선하기 위해 제안된 퍼지 경쟁 학습 네트워크〔8〕는 각 클러스터가 연속적인 소속도를 가진다는 개념을 도입하여 이와 같은 문제들을 해결했다. 그러나 퍼지 경쟁 학습 네트워크를 CVQ에 적용할 경우, 각 부코드북의 크기를 시행착오로 결정해야 하는 문제점을 여전히 가지고 있으며, 이러한 문제점들의 개선을 위하여 본 논문에서는 수정 퍼지 경쟁 학습 네트워크(modified fuzzy competitive learning network)를 제안한다. 수정 퍼지 경쟁 학습 네트워크는 퍼지 학습 네트워크가 가지는 이 분법적 소속도를 연속적인 소속도로 확장하여, 학습 과정중에 나타날 수 있는 지역 최소점 도달을 억제하였다.

  • This study is focused on the reliability evaluation for distribution system based on deterministic evaluation technique. Average failure rates, average outage time, and average annual outage time of electrical parts and load points are calculated through network reduction method and failure mode & effective analysis method. And reliability indices of distribution system are calculated. Finally, by employing analytic hierarchy process method, unique index which evaluates and improves the distribution system is calculated. As a result, finding weak points and expansion schedule of the system is possible. The usefulness of this method is verified by applying it to the Inchon International Airport.

  • This Paper Presents a new methodology for Direct Load Control(DLC) and Unit Commitment. To consider economical effect of DLC, we developed 3-Dimensional dynamic programming which can combine unit commitment and DLC. Traditional dynamic programming has 2-Dimensional which consist of state and stage, but newly developed dynamic programming has DLC state, U.C. state, and stage. As a result, economical DLC and unit commitment schedule of the power system is possible. This method is applied to the test system, and the usefulness of the method is verified.

  • This paper describes an optimal power flow algorithm considering environmental constraints. In this algorithm, we use the costate method, concepts of fictitious generator, variable reduction and effective constraint for the effective linear programming application. Especially we consider environmental constraints. The proposed method is applied to IEEE RTS-30 model system, 24 and 96 Reliability Test Systems and the results shows the effectiveness of the method.

  • This paper describes the optimizing method of direct load control (DLC) considering unit commitment which is based on dynamic programming. To consider the unit commitment on DLC, 3-Dimensional dynamic programming as a new unit commitment method is developed. And, this method is applied to DLC. As a result, optimization of operating schedule with DLC is possible. This method is applied to the test system, and usefulness of the method is verified.

  • This paper presents a power transfer capability calculation algorithm Considering Voltage Stability Margin. In this method, voltage stability margin constraints are incorporated into a power transfer capability formulation to guarantee adequate voltage security levels in interconnected Power System. The proposed method is applied to IEEE-24 Reliability Test Systems and the results shows the effectiveness of the method.
