It was shown that not only a sufficient mode-conversion in a sse region along the latersl and tran~verse directions but also an introductIOn of angled-facet were very essential in order to reduce $R_{eff}$ Very small ripple less than 0.1 dB in an amplified spontaneous emission spectrum was observed with the fabncated SSC-lW-SOA which consists of the wrndow length of $20\mu\textrm{m}$, facet angle of $7^{\circ}$, and antlrelleetioll-coated facet of ] % reflectivity.tivity.

Complex Antenna Factors of EMC Monopole Antenna (EMC 모노폴 안테나의 복소 안테나 인자)

  • This paper presents the characteristics of complex antenna factors of monopole antenna for the measuring time-domain fields above the ground plane. The method of moments with Galerkin's procedure is used to determine the current distribution of the antenna. The monopole antenna with chip resistor is discussed to reduce the reflection at low frequencies. Numerical results show that the magnitude of the complex antenna factor for the monopole with chip resistor is 5.6 dB as large as that of the conventional monopole antenna. The characteristics of the modified complex antenna factor to use the antenna factor are also treated at low frequencies. To verify the theoretical analysis, experimental results are compared with theoretical ones.

  • This paper presents a method, which finds the current distribution and input impedance at the arbitrary feeding point of bended linear antenna in arbitrary shape in accordance with the MOMENT method. Practically the method of analysis is applied to the sinusoidal-shaped antenna, and the results of the calculation of current distribution and input impedance consist with the theoretical values. The method can be extensively used for the analysis of any of type antenna problems.

  • 대용량 BLDC 모터의 진동 및 소음의 원인은 영구자석과 슬롯 개구부 형상에 의한 코깅토크와 전류 파형에 의하여 발생하게 된다. 특히 대용량 BLDC의 경우 코깅토크에 의한 진동 및 소음의 영향이 상대적으로 큰 값을 가지게 된다. 따라서 코깅토크 발생원인 중 하나인 영구자석의 형상에 RSM(Response Surface Method) 최적화 이론을 적용하여 코깅토크 저감을 연구하였다. FEM과 RSM을 결합하여 영구자석의 형상을 최적화한 결과 코깅토크의 ripple이 25%이상 감소되었다.

  • Dynamic Voltage Restorers (DVR)s are known as the best effective and economic means to compensate for voltage sags and swells [1]-[11]. This paper proposes a novel method to generate reference voltages synchronized with the grid whether the line voltages are distorted by a fault or not. The proposed reference wave generator (RWC) looks for the original wave forms from the corrupted line voltages and synthesizes the expected positive sequence reference waves for DVRs. There is no transient problem on the generated reference waves when the line voltages are distorted by the fault.

  • 본 논문에서는 고압전동기를 직접 드라이브 할 수 있는 H-브릿지 멀티레벨 인버터의 개별 전력 셀의 동작원리에 대해서 고찰하였다. H-브릿지 멀티레벨 인버터는 여러 개의 단상 Power Cell을 직렬로 연결함으로써 저전압 전력용 반도체를 사용하여 고전압을 얻을 수 있고, 정현파에 가까운 출력전압 파형을 얻을 수 있는 멀티레벨 인버터 토폴로지이다. 480V, 180kVA H-브릿지 멀티레벨 인버터를 제작하고 V/F제어, 벡터제어, 센서리스 벡터제어 이론을 적용하여 인버터 출력전압 레벨이 여러 단계이며 dv/dt가 적으며 입력단 THD를 크게 낮출 수 있다는 결론을 얻었다.

  • Digital watermarking이란 영상이나 비디오, 오디오, 텍스트 등의 저작물에 잘 식별되지 않는 표시를 삽입하여 저작권을 보호하는 방법으로 소유권자의 동의없이 저작물을 배포, 복사되는 것을 방지하는 법이다. 본 논문은 watermark를 삽입하기 위해서 sin과 cos 함수를 이용한 Fourier 급수전개를 이용하였다. 우선 , 원 이미지를 주파수 영역으로 변환한 다음 watermark를 삽입할 위치를 M $\times$Nro의 Random Sequence를 발생하여 결정하였으며, M개의 파형을 가장 직교성이 좋다고 하는 sin 함수와 cos 함수를 이용하여 Fourier 급수전개를 하였다. 이 때, sin과 cos의 n의 고조파 역시 Random Sequence를 발생하여 결정하였다. 제안한 알고리즘은 이와 같이 Fourier 급수전개를 했을 때 각 항의 Fourier 계수를 산출하여 이 Fourier 계수에 watermark를 삽입하였다. 실험 결과 JPEG 압축, Blurring, 노이즈삽입 등의 이미지 왜곡에 대하여 watermark 상관관계가 최소 0.1979에서 최대 0.9732까지의 견고성(robustness)을 보였다.

  • This paper dealt with a general the Qrem of frequency doubler. By summarizing the frequency doubler theorems, a new frequency doubter theorem can be derived. "In time invarient system, if the input waveform shows the half-wave symmetric characteristic and if the even function is the mapping from input into output, then the frequency of output is at least 2-times of input frequency." By the theorem, this paper propose a new wide band square wave frequency doublerusing negative resistance circuit.e circuit.

  • We developed a new standing wave type ultrasonic linear motor that can be driven bi-directionally. The operation principle of the motor was derived in an analytical form and the detailed structure was designed by the finite element method. Based on the design, a motor sample and a driving circuit were fabricated, and validity of the structure was verified through experiments.

  • A new digital serrodyne (DS) signal processor for the close-loop fiber optic gyroscope was designed and implemented. It is based on a new algorithm that can solve the remaining problems of the existing digital serrodyne processing by utilizing a new modulation wavefonn. The algorithm was implemented in an FPGA and tested. Theoretical limit and experimental value of the random walk were measured to be 2.6 and 3.3 deg/hr/$\sqrt{Hz}$, respectively. And drift of the processor is smaller than that by Shupe's effect.effect.
