An Objective Speech Quality Measure using Masking Effect under Digital Mobile Telephone Network Environment (디지털 이동통신망 환경 하에서 마스킹 효과를 이용한 객관적 음질 평가 척도)

  • In this paper, we propose a new objective speech quality measure using noise masking threshold for speech quality assessment of mobile telephone network environments, and verify the effectiveness of the proposed method through the experiments. For such a purpose, well known objective speech quality measures such as BSD and PSQM are first evaluated for digital mobile telephone network environments. However, these conventional methods does not have good performance under mobile networks environments compared to literary results. To be mote effective objective speech quality measure under mobile telephone environments, the proposed method employs human psychoacoustic masking effect. The DMOS, instead of MOS, is used as a subjective speech quality measure for performance evaluation. The performance comparison are carried out with speech data collected from digital mobile telephone environments. As results, the proposed measure have and average 4% higher performance, in terms of correlation, than existing objective speech quality measures such as BSD and PSQM.

The Study of Technical Error Analysis on BMD Using DEXA (이중 에너지 X선 흡수 계측법을 이용한 BMD 검사 시 발생할 수 있는 기술적인 오류 분석)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to search for the type of technical error in DEXA(dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry) and the effect of error to measurement of BMD. Materials and Methods: The changes of BMD($g/cm^2$, T-score) by patients information(Age, Weight, Height, Manopause age) input error and Confirming ROI error were investigated. Using spine phantom, we canned 10 times by age(5, 10), weight(10, 20 kg), height(5, 10 cm), manopause age(5, 10) increase & decrease respectively. Scanning region(L-spine, femur, Forearm) of 10 patients was calculated by changing ROI respectively. Analysis of difference for mean(precision 1%) were carried out. Results: The error of patient information(Age, Weight, Height, Manopause age) was not changed differently. In confirming ROI, the BMD and T-score of L-spine involving T-12 was decreased to $0.063\;g/cm^2$, 0.3 and involving L-5 increased to $0.077\;g/cm^2$, 0.5. In narrowing 1 cm of vertical line of ROI, the BMD and T-score decreased to $0.006\;g/cm^2$, 0.1 and in 2 cm, $0.021\;g/cm^2$, 0.15, each. In hip ROI, Upper and left shift(0.5 cm) of line was not influenced BMD and T-score. In 0.5 cm lower shift(lesser trochanter below), the BMD and T-score increased $0.031\;g/cm^2$, 0.3 and in 1 cm $0.094\;g/cm^2$, 0.65, each. In forearm ROI, the BMD and T-score decreased $0.042\;g/cm^2$, 0.9 involving 1 cm lower wrist. And expanding 1 cm of vertical line, the BMD and T-score decreased $0.008\;g/cm^2$, 0.1 and in 2 cm, $0.021\;g/cm^2$, 0.3, each. The L-spine, hip, forearm ROI error was changed differently. Conclusion: There are so many kinds of technical error in BMD processing. Errors according to age, weight, height, manopause age did not influent to $BMD(g/cm^2)$ and T-score. There are mean differences BMD and T-score in confirming ROI. For the precision exam, in L-spine processing, L1-4 have to confirmed without shift of ROI vertical line. In hip processing, the ROI have to included greater trochanter, femur head and lesser trochanter. In forearm processing, the ROI have to included wrist, radius and ulnar.

A Study about the Change of Locations of the Center of Resistance According to the Decrease of Alveolar Bone Heights and Root Lengths during Anterior Teeth Retraction using the Laser Reflection Technique (Laser 반사측정법을 이용한 전치부 후방 견인시 치조골 높이와 치근길이 감소에 따른 저항중심의 위치변화에 관한 연구)

  • Treatment mechanics should be individualized to be suitable for each patient's personal teeth and anatomic environment to get a best treatment result with the least harmful effects to teeth and surrounding tissues. Especially, the change of biomechanical reaction associated with that of the centers of resistance of teeth should be considered when crown-to-root ratio changed due to problematic root resorption and/or periodontal disease during adult orthodontic treatment. At the present study, in order to investigate patterns of initial displacements of anterior teeth under certain orthodontic force when crown-to-root ratio changed in not only normal periodontal condition but also abnormal periodontal and/or teeth condition, the changes of the centers of resistance for maxillary and mandibular 6 anterior teeth as a segment were studied using the laser reflection technique, the lever & pulley force applicator and the photodetector with these quantified variables reducing alveolar bone 2mm by 2mm for each of maxillary 6 anterior teeth until the total amount of 8mm and root 2mm by 2mm for each of mandibular 6 anterior ones until the total amount of 6mm. The results were as follows: 1. Under unreduced condition, the center of resistance during initial displacement of maxillary 6 anterior teeth was located at the point of about $42.4\%$ apically from cemento-enamel junction(CEJ) of the averaged tooth of them and kept shifting to about $76.7\%$ with alveolar bone reduction. 2. The distance from the averaged alveolar crest level of maxillary 6 anterior teeth to the center of resistance for the averaged tooth of them kept decreasing with alveolar bone reduction, but the ratio to length of the averaged root embedded in the alveolar bone was stable at around $33\%$ regardless of that. 3. Under unreduced condition, the center of resistance during initial displacement of mandibular 6 anterior teeth was located at the Point of about $43\%$ apically from CEJ of the averaged tooth of them and this ratio kept increasing to about $54\%$ with root reduction. But the distance from CEJ to the center of resistance decreased from around 5.3mm to around 3.3mm, that is to say, the center of resistance kept shifting toward CEJ with the shortening of root length. 4. A unit reduction of alveolar bone had greater effects on the change of the centers of resistance than that of root did during initial Phase of each reduction. But both of them had similar effects at the middle region of whole length of the averaged root.

Analysis of synthetic Antimicrobials in Livestock Products by MSPD Method (MSPD법에 의한 축산물 중 합성항균제 동시분석)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the MSPD and HPLC method about simultaneous determination for residual synthetic antimicrobials of sixteen species such as sulfonamide etc. in livestock products. Elution solvent used in HPLC was ethylacetate:acetonitrile (4:1), and mobile phases for solvent A and B were water:methanol:acetonit rile:phosphric acid (700:250:50:0.2) and 100% acetonitrile respectively. The detector and absorbency used in HPLC was UV 266 nm. This study showed the reduction effect of 99.1% for organic solvents, 94% for experimental steps, 95% for analytical time and manpower and 98.9% for costs compared with korea food standard method. The average recovery rates for chicken, bovine, pork and milk were 67.7% 96.2%, 67.7%~96.6%, 70.0%~96.2%, and 13.8%~97.8%.

Value Analysis of Barrier-free Facilities at Subway Stations Using CVM with a Double Bounded Dichotomous Choice Question (이중양분선택형 질문법을 이용한 CVM에 의한 지하철 역사 Barrier-free 시설의 가치분석)

  • As the aged and physically disabled people are expected to increase in the next several years, traffic demand especially for the 'mobility handicapped people' will be stronger. According to this trend, our society needs the improvement of social overhead capital for the aged and the disabled. First of all, Barrier-free of public transport facilities is urgent case. The purpose of this study is to estimate value of the Barrier-free facilities at subway stations by using Contingent Valuation Method(CVM) with Double Bounded Dichotomous Choice Question and to analyze the factor which affects the WTP(Willingness To Pay) of subway users by using Survival Analysis. As a result of this study, 'Elevators' and 'Escalators' are higher than 'Handicapped Gate Machines' and 'Ramps for Wheelchair' in the aspect of the average willingness to pay. Therefore the government is recommended to install the Barrier-free facilities for going up and down such as 'Elevators' and 'Escalators', and then supply others for just using subway, and passing such as 'Handicapped Gate Machines' and 'Ramps for Wheelchair'. Also, the average willingness to pay of 'mobility handicapped people' is higher than that of 'normal people'. It indicates that 'mobility handicapped people' value each Barrier-free facility high compared to 'normal people'.

  • This paper describes an interframe image coding using motion compensated and classified vector quantizer (MC-CVQ). It is essential to carefully encode blocks with significant pels in motion compensated vector quantizers (MCVQ). In this respect, we propose a new CVQ algorithm which is appropriate to the coding of interframe prediction error after motion compensation. In order to encode an image efficiently at a low bit rate, we partition each block, which is the processing element in MC, into equally sized 4 vectors, and classify vectors into 15 classes according to the position of significant pels. Vectors in each class are then encoded by the vector quantizer with the codebook independently designed for the class. The computer simulation shows that the signal-to-noise ratio and the average bit rate of MC-CVQ are 35-37dB and 0.2-0.25bit/pel, respectively, for the videophone or video conference type image.

  • 본 연구에서는 어류 생태계 유지를 위해 필요한 생태학적 추천유량을 산정하고, 어류의 서식처 환경인 여울과 웅덩이의 형성조건을 검토함으로써 '작용'인 '흐름'과 '응답'인 '하상구조'와의 상관 관계를 규명하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상하천인 금호강에서는 하상변동이 활발한 자연 상태를 벗어나 하상의 이동성 상당히 둔화된 상태이며, 저수로내 여울과 웅덩이도 대표어종이 서식할 수 있는 자갈하상 구조에 변화가 일어나고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이것은 금호강 상류에 영천댐 건설의 영향이 어느 정도 미치고 있음을 유황분석 결과를 통해 간접적으로 파악할 수 있었다. 댐과 같은 수공구조물의 건설로 인하여 하도가 고정화된 상태에서 장기간에 걸치게 되면 여울과 웅덩이와 같은 하상구조가 축소되거나 소멸되어 금호강에서의 대표어종 서식처 환경에 영향을 미칠 것으로 추정된다. 금번 연구결과, 금호강에서 어류의 생식에 필요한 생태학적 추천유량 $8.2m^3/sec$가 필요하였으며, 어류의 서식처 환경인 여울과 웅덩이를 지속적으로 유지되기 위해서는 $250m^3/sec$ 이상의 유량이 연간 한번 이상 흘러야 하고, 2.5년 내지 3년 마다 약 $500m^3/sec$ 정도의 유량이 흐를 필요가 있다고 분석되었다. 본 연구 대상지점에서 흐름과 하상구조를 하천생태계와 연계해서 볼 때, 생태추천유량은 어디까지나 대표어종이 서식할 수 있는 최소조건에 불과하다. 대표어종이 장기간에 걸쳐 서식할 수 있는 하상구조가 존재하기 위해서는 대표어종이 선호하는 여울과 웅덩이가 필요하다. 결국 대표어종이 서식하기 위한 필요충분조건은 생태추천유량 확보와 아울러 대표어종이 선호하는 하상구조를 유지하기 위해서는 하도의 이동성을 유발할 유황변화가 필요하다는 것이 입증되었다.대상으로 연중 발생하는 큰 호우사상에 대해 임의의 강우관측소를 결측지점으로 가정하고 주변의 강우관측소로부터 각각의 방법을 이용해 가중치들을 산정하여 결측지점의 강우량 값을 보정하고자 하였다. 또한 각각의 방법을 이용하여 얻어진 결과에 대해 실측값과 보정값의 오차정도를 평균절대오차법(Mean Absolute Error)과 제곱평균제곱근오차법(Root Mean Squared Error)에 의해 산정하여 보정 방법간의 효율성을 검토하고자 하였다.9년, 그리고 2010년${\sim}$2019년까지 총 4구간으로 나누어 결과를 도출하였으며 예상한 바와 같이 후반기 20년 동안에 세 가지 지표가 취약해 지는 것을 확인할 수 있었고, 특히 2000년부터 2009년까지 10년 동안에는 더욱 취약해짐을 확인할 수 있었다.를 보임에 따라 그 정책적 효과는 때로 역기능적인 결과로 초래하였다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이 연구결과를 통하여 최소한 주식시장(株式市場)에서 위탁증거금제도는 그 제도적 의의가 여전히 있다는 사실이 확인되었다. 또한 우리나라 주식시장에서 통상 과열투기 행위가 빈번히 일어나 주식시장을 교란시킴으로써 건전한 투자풍토조성에 저해된다는 저간의 우려가 매우 커왔으나 표본 기간동안에 대하여 실증분석을 한 결과 주식시장 전체적으로 볼 때 주가변동율(株價變動率), 특히 초과주가변동율(超過株價變動率)에 미치는 영향이 그다지 심각한 정도는 아니었으며 오히려 우리나라의 주식시장은 미국시장에 비해 주가가 비교적 안정적인 수준을 유지해 왔다고 볼 수 있다.36.4%)와 외식을 선호(29.1%)${\lrcorner}$ 하기 때문에 패스트푸드를 이용하게 된 것으로 응답 하였으며, 남 여 대학생간에는 유의한 차이(p<0.05)가 인정되었다. 응답자의 체형은 ${\ulco

  • 유류유출사고와 같이 하천 수표면의 흐름에 따라 이동 확산하는 부유성 오염물질의 혼합해석을 위해 많은 연구자들은 입자추적모형을 사용한 혼합모의를 수행해왔다. 입자추적모형에서 오염물질의 혼합은 평균 유속 분포에 의한 결정론적인 이동과 난류유동에 의한 무작위적인 혼합으로 나타내며, 난류혼합에 의한 수평확산은 난류확산계수로 조절한다. 따라서 표면흐름에 의한 난류확산계수의 산정을 위해 많은 연구자들은 부유성 입자를 이용한 실내실험을 수행하여 수평확산계수를 산정했고(Engelund, 1969; Cederwall, 1971), 최근에는 GPS의 발전으로 인해 해양영역에서 GPS를 장착한 표면부자를 활용한 확산실험을 통해 수평확산계수를 산정한 바 있다(Kjellson and $D{\ddot{o}}{\ddot{o}}s$, 2012; Alpers 등, 2013). 하천수질오염사고의 약 43.5%가 유류유출에 의한 것이며(환경부, 2013), 이에 따라 표면흐름에 의한 오염물질 혼합해석이 필요하나, 하천에서 수평확산계수 산정을 위한 현장실험연구는 부족한 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 낙동강 본류에서 GPS부자를 이용한 입자추적실험을 수행하여 표면흐름에 의한 확산계수를 산정했다. GPS부자를 이용한 입자추적실험은 낙동강의 강정고령보 하류와 구미보 하류의 각각 세 지점에서 수행되었다. GPS부자는 바람에 의한 교란을 최소화하기 위해 지름 10 cm의 구형으로 제작하였으며 시범테스트를 통해 입자의 주 궤적 변화가 크지 않은 지점에 GPS부자를 투입했다. GPS부자는 오염물질의 사고유출을 가정하여 한 지점에 투입했고 GPS부자 사이의 간섭을 최소화하기 위해 25 ~ 35개의 GPS부자를 이용했다. 표면흐름에 의해 이동하는 부자의 위치는 GPS에 시계열로 저장됐고 ADCP를 이용하여 실험당시의 수리량을 측정했다. 입자위치의 시계열자료로부터 GPS부자의 확산범위의 시간변화를 계산했고 단순 모멘트법을 이용하여 종, 횡 방향 확산계수를 계산했다. 그 결과, 종 방향 확산계수는 $0.003{\sim}0.041m^2/s$로 계산되었고 횡 방향 확산 계수는 $0.001{\sim}0.012m^2/s$로 계산되어, 흐름방향의 유속성분에 의한 확산이 지배적인 것으로 나타났다. 지류 합류부에서는 이송이 지배적인 혼합이 발생되었고(Pe>1) Pe의 증가에 따라 수평확산계수가 감소되었다. 25~35개 GPS부자 궤적의 앙상블 평균으로부터 계산한 Integral time scale은 모멘트법으로부터 계산한 종, 횡 방향 확산계수와 비례하는 것으로 나타나, Taylor(1921)의 이론과 일치했다. 또한 실험수로에서 수행된 기존연구결과와 비교한 결과, 하폭 대 수심비, 마찰항의 증가에 따라 수평확산계수가 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다.

  • Non-destructive inspection techniques using laser have been breading their application areas as well as growing their measurement skills together with the rapid development of circumferential technology like fiber optics. computer and image processing The ESPI technique is already on the stage of on-line testing with commercial products in developed country nations. Especially, this technique is expected to be applied to the nuclear industry, automobile and aerospace because it is proper for the vibration measurement and it can be applied to objects of a high temperature. This paper describes the use of the ESPI system for measuring vibration patterns on the reflecting objects. Using this system, high-quality Jo fringes for identifying mode shapes are displayed. A bias vibration is introduced into the reference beam to shift the Jo fringes so that fringe shift algorithms can be used to determine vibration amplitude. Using this method. amplitude fields for vibrating objects were obtained directly from the time-average interferometer recorded by the ESPI system.

  • This study is proposed the design method of tag to measure biomedical signal for interfacing with smart phone. The measurable physiological signals are ECG and PPG. On the smart phone by using the measured signals, we have designed the tag that can extract parameters such as heart rate, heart rate distribution, mean blood pressure, arterial stiffness, autonomic nervous balance. By using the estimated medical informations from this tag, One's health status will be able to manage one.
