If the location information of a great number of cars kept for business with telematics terminals is acquired and managed efficiently, this information forms the foundation for controlling cars and traffic flows. The studies on the pure spatial indices have focused on the efficient retrievals. However, the acquisition and management of the terminal location of moving objects are more important than the efficiency of the query processing in the moving object databases. Therefore, it will be need to adopt parallel processing system for the moving object databases which should maintain the object's current location as precise as possible. This paper proposes a location management system using CDMA communications of telematics terminals. More precisely, we propose a architecture of spatial indexing mobile objects using multiple processors, and also newly propose a method of splitting buckets using the properties of moving objects in order to minimize the number of database updates. We also propose a acquisition method for gathering the location information of moving objects and passing the information of the bucket extents in order to reduce the amount of passed messages between processors.

하나의 AP에 다수의 사용자가 연결되어 AP의 부하가 가중될 경우 해당 AP에 연결되어 있는 사용자들의 무선데이터 전송속도는 현저하게 떨어진다. 이를 방지하기 위해 본 논문에서는 SDN 기술을 사용하여 SDN 제어기에서 연결된 AP들의 부하분산을 지원하는 시스템을 제안하였으며, 해당 시스템은 SDN 제어기와 AP 그리고 안드로이드 스마트폰으로 구성되었다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템을 지원하기 위해 각각의 AP들은 SDN 제어기와의 통신을 담당하는 SDN Agent를 설치한다. 또한 현재 이동통신단말기가 연결이 가능한 AP들의 목록을 작성하기 위해 이동통신 단말기에도 SDN Agent를 설치한다. SDN 제어기는 각각의 Agent로부터 받은 정보들을 통해 적합한 AP로 이동통신 단말기가 다시 연결될 수 있도록 한다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 시스템의 검증을 위해 실험환경을 구성하여 실험을 수행하였으며 효과적으로 동작하는 것을 확인하였다.

통신 네트워크 발전 추세에 따라 데이터와 음성회선을 통합하고 PSTN을 통한 전화 서비스보다 저렴한 통신비용과 다양한 부가서비스 구현 등의 여러 장점을 가진 VoIP서비스로 전환되고 있다. 하지만 VoIP서비스의 긴급서비스에서 위치식별 대한 문제점이 제기되었다. VoIP는 인터넷망을 이용하으로 부여된 발신전화번호 정보를 송출하지 않아 발신자의 위치 및 해당지역 PSAP의 식별이 불가능하다. 이에 따라 건물 내 LAN 환경에서 VoIP 단말기와 연결하는 실내의 모든 이더넷 포트에 대한 정보를 관리하여 이를 지정된 VoIP 단말기와 연계시킴으로써 위치를 확인하는 방법 등이 제안되었으나 단말기 이동시마다 위치정보를 수정해야 하는 문제가 제기되었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 VoIP서비스에 서 RFID를 이용하여 발신자 단말기 위치를 식별하는 긴급서비스 지원 모델을 제안하고, 이를 위해 가입자 위치정보 획득 및 관리, 호 라우팅 등에 관한 구체적인 방안을 제시하였다. 그 결과 VoIP 망에서 단말기 이동에 대한 위치 확인 문제도 해결이 가능하다.

The government has the responsibility to prevent abuses of monopoly and promote competition in order to maximize consumer welfare. The government should address the asymmetry in the information as much as possible and ensure consumer choice. The subsidy seems to reduce the burden on the consumer service charges and handset prices but it actually distorts the market through price discrimination. The government caused the principal-agent problem by neglecting their appropriate role to prevent distortion of the mobile telecom market. The money used as subsidy is part of excess profit and could be transferred to down the price of mobile phone and charges and it would become a benefit to consumers. Separate announcement of subsidies by Mobile Communications Terminal Distribution Structure Improvement Act is a little developed policy but it was not actually realized. The market price close to that from perfect competition structure is plausible, ultimately.

In this paper, we developed digital TV commerce system using mobile device for multimedia service. This system combines TV and mobile device, and enables a TV viewer to purchase and download the multimedia contents such as songs and video programs onto the mobile devices instantly when the viewer watches the contents. Our system is different from the conventional TV commerce system in the sense that it combines digital TV and mobile device for better service, and the contents such as songs, videos and games are downloaded directly to the devices. Furthermore, our system's data flow is designed for utilizing cheaper network to save costs. We implemented this new service system, and in this paper, we describe the service in detail, comparing with conventional TV commerce system, and we present the architecture and preliminary implementation of the proposed system.

According to the recent advancement of mobile computing technology and the hardware technology, the mobile device has rapidly come into wide use.'rho data in the central management server needs to confirm to that in mobile devices in order for the mobile device users to access the needed data regardless of time and place. This is called Data Synchronization. Currently, major mobile device manufacturing companies provide the data synchronization solutions, but these solutions are not compatible with other mobile devices/other applied services. In order to solve this problem, OMA(Open Mobile Alliance), mainly composed of mobile telecommunication companies, has suggested using the SyncML(Synchronization Markup Language) data synchronization method. This is an attempt to make a public standard. In this paper, the data synchronization client that synchronizes the PIMS (Personal Information Management System) data in mobile devices like PDA is developed, complying with the SyncML standard requirements.

텔레매틱스(Telematics)는 자동차와 컴퓨터.이동통신 등 다수의 이종기술의 결합을 의미한다. 텔레매틱스는 또한 유, 무선통신망 등을 통해서 운전자가 정보를 교환하여 운전자 및 차량의 안전 및 편의성을 향상시킬 수 있는 장치 및 서비스를 통칭한다. 휴대용 개인 단말기와 달리 차량에 장착되는 텔레매틱스 단말기는 차량 정보 네트워크에 연결되어 주행 안전이 가장 우선 되어야 하고 부가적인 운전자 정보 서비스가 이루어 져야 한다. 이제까지 제안 또는 적용 되고 있는 기술을 중심으로 텔레매틱스 기술 동향을 요약하였다. 주행 중에 제공되는 서비스로서 텔레매틱스는 안전 관련 제도적 보완이 필요하고 특히 국가 차원의 공공 인프라 지원 정책이 뒷받침되어야만 하는 국가 정책 차원의 지원이 반드시 이루어 져야 한다.

이동통신 단말기의 지능이 높아짐에 따라, 통신망과 연동되는 휴대폰을 결재수단으로 사용하는 m-commerce와 같은 다양한 부가서비스가 가능하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 단말기의 고기능화에 따른 응용부가서비스의 하나로, 휴대폰을 통해 통제되는 Security System을 제안하고 시스템의 구현 방법에 대해서 기술한다.

차세대 이동통신이 음성, 데이터, 동영상등 종합적인 멀티미디어 서비스를 목표로 하며, 세계 각국은 IMT-2000의 기술개발을 진행하고 있다 이런 서비스를 위해서는 광대역의 주파수를 필요로 하며, W-CDMA방식을 표준화하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 W-CDMA방식 단말기의 RF 수신부를 요구되는 규격에 따라 제작하고 그 성능을 테스트 하였다.

컴퓨터와 통신 기술의 발달은 휴대용 단말기의 기능을 일반 PC의 수준으로 끌어올리며 휴대 단말기의 보급을 가속화하고 있다. 이에 따라 휴대용 무선 단말기에서의 지도서비스에 대한 다양한 요구가 나날이 높아지고 있다. 하지만 지도 서비스에 필수적인 기존의 공간색인은 서버나 PC와 같은 저장용량이 크고 연산처리속도가 높으며 유선망을 통해 다른 서버와 통신하는 컴퓨팅 시스템을 대상으로 하므로 PDA로 대표되는 휴대용 무선 단말기에 적용하기에는 부적할하다. 또한 휴대용 기기의 이동성을 고려할 때, 질의 수행 시 저장되지 않은 지도 데이터는 무선 통신을 이용하여 서버로부터 전송되어져야 한다. 그리고 새롭게 전송된 지도 데이터를 기존에 저장된 지도 데이터에 삽입하기 위해서 색인 재구축 비용이 발생한다. 즉, 서버와 무선통신을 하는 휴대용 단말기에서 지도서비스를 하기 위해서는 휴대 기기에 적합한 데이터 저장 및 색인구조가 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 무선단말기 특히 PDA 환경에서의 벡터지도시스템을 위해 공간 데이터의 최적화된 저장구조와, 비연속적인 다양한 지역에 대한 데이터를 효율적으로 통합.관리하는 동적색인구조를 제시한다.
