Verification of initial field of very short-term radar rainfall forecasts using advanced system: A case study of Typhoon CHABA in 2016 (초단기 레이더 강우예측 초기장 고도화 시스템 검증: 2016년 태풍 차바 사례를 중심으로)

  • 본 연구에서는 집중호우에 대한 레이더기반 초단기 강우예측 시스템의 정확도를 향상시키기 위해 초기장 개선 연구를 수행하였다. 집중호우에 적합한 강우를 추정하기 위해 층운형, 대류형, 열대형의 Z-R관계식과 반사도 조건에 따라 층운형과 적운형을 구분하여 Z-R 관계식을 적용하였으며, 이를 초단기 강우예측 시스템의 초기장으로 활용하였다. 또한 2016년 10월 5일 태풍 차바(Chaba)에 의한 집중호우 사례에 대해 지상관측 강우자료와 레이더 추정 및 예측 강우자료와의 비교를 통해 정확도를 정성적 정량적으로 평가하였다. 레이더 강우추정에 대한 분석 결과, 복합형 타입의 Z-R 관계식의 상관계수와 평균제곱근오차가 비슬산레이더의 경우 각각 0.8207, 9.22 mm/hr, 면봉산 레이더의 경우 각각 0.8001, 10.53 mm/hr로 가장 좋은 성능을 보였다. 강우 예측에 대한 분석 결과, 집중호우 사례에 대해 강우강도 공간분포 및 이동 패턴은 평균적으로 잘 모의하였으며, 초단기 강우예측 결과의 평균적으로 POD는 0.97이상, FAR는 0.21 이하로 다소 정확하게 예측하는 것으로 분석되었다. 정량적 평가 결과, 비슬산 레이더의 경우 상관계수가 예측시간 60분까지 0.545이상, 면봉산 레이더의 경우 0.379 이상으로 비교적 좋은 상관성을 보였으며, Z-R관계식 유형에 따른 차이는 작은 것으로 확인되었다. 평균제곱근오차의 경우 열대형과 복합형의 Z-R관계식이 높은 정확도를 가지는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구 결과, 초기장 정확도의 개선을 통한 레이더 기반 초단기 강우예측 모형의 정확도 개선 가능성을 확인할 수 있었으며, 향후 지속적인 사례연구 및 검증을 통하여 강우추정 및 강우예측 알고리즘 개선의 노력이 필요하다.

Green Infrastructure Types and Effects for Climate Change (기후변화 대응을 위한 녹색기반시설의 유형과 효과)

  • This study investigates how green infrastructure, including natural and open space such as forests, rivers, parks, and streets, could effectively counteract climate change in terms of mitigation and adaption, respectively. As a result, green infrastructure, such as forests, parks, vegetable gardens, roof gardens, pedestrian walkways, bike lanes, etc, could effectively mitigate climate change: 1) Carbon storage and sequestration; 2) Fossil fuel substitution; 3) Material substitution; 4) Food production 5) Reducing the need to travel by car. Secondly, green infrastructure, such as rivers, tree-lined streets, farmland, wetlands, dunes, wind ways, etc, could adapt to climate change: 1) Managing high temperatures; 2) Managing water supply; 3) Managing ravine flooding; 4) Managing costal flooding; 5) Managing surface water; 6) Reducing soil erosion; 7) Helping other species to adapt.

  • Currently chemical plant risk have been issued by occurring frequent accidents. Accidents can be generally composed of fire, explosion, release in chemical plant. In case of fire and explosion, accident victims are occurred immediately after accident but release accident, late emergency response cause damage to worker. Especially, there are many victims by late emergency response against chemical exposure to skin. In case of chemical exposure to skin, irreversible damage like death, blindness, burn can be prevented by washing immediately. Safety shower can provide the cleaning for chemical exposure to eye, skin. Most of chemical plants are built in 1980s so equipment become superannuated. In this reason, safety shower also cannot operate normally in emergency situation. Therefor safety shower should be managed by installation and management guideline. This study perform the establishment guideline for safety shower installation and inspection to increase the reliability.

  • The present engineering sector focused on the sandwich composites and almost covered all engineering fields because of decent mechanical properties with a lightweight structure. It mainly consists of high strength fiber skin and porous structure core like corrugated, honeycomb, balsa wood, and foams which is playing a pivotal role in weight reduction. Recently researchers attention grabbed by Natural fiber sandwich composites due to biodegradability, renewable, low-cost, and environmentally friendly. However special focus is highly needed towards the flammability behavior of natural fibers used as reinforcement for composites. Herein, for the first time, the flame retardant natural fiber sandwich composite was fabricated by using flame retardant treated bamboo fabric and vinyl ester via the VARTM process. The impact of flame retardant treated bamboo fabric on mechanical and flame retardant properties were studied. The results concluded that the fabricated bamboo sandwich composites show structurally lightweight with significant mechanical strength and feasibility with respect to the flame.

  • The world is changing rapidly as the Internet spreads and various smart devices appear. High-performance PCs and high-speed communication networks are rapidly spreading in every home, and all kinds of the internet sites are emerging. In particular, the high education enthusiasm of Korean parents adds to this, and the ratio of the internet users among teenagers is exploding every day. In the case of adolescents, most of them use the Internet for online games, indicating that online games are the main cause of the internet addiction. This study was conducted using a questionnaire for male and female high school students using the Internet, and demographic and sociological characteristics were used only as basic data. In this study, as much as parents, students and teachers think, the results of the internet addiction type analysis according to academic achievement in humanities high school students are to be investigated to determine whether internet use has an effect on academic achievement.

  • Roadside greenery in the city is not only a means of reducing fine dust, but also an indispensable element of the city in various aspects such as improvement of urban thermal environment, noise reduction, ecosystem connectivity, and aesthetics. However, in studies dealing with the effect of reducing fine dust through trees in existing urban spaces, microscopic aspects such as the adsorption effect of plants were dealt with, structural changes such as the width of urban buildings and streets, and the presence or absence of trees, Impact studies that reflect the actual form of In this study, the effect of greenery composition applicable to urban space on PM2.5 was simulated through the microclimate epidemiologic model ENVI-met, and field measurements were performed in parallel to verify the results. In addition, by analyzing the results of fine dust background concentration, wind speed, and leaf area index, the sensitivity to major influencing variables was tested. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the fine dust reduction effect was the highest in the case with a high planting amount, and the reduction effect was the greatest at a low background concentration. Based on this, the cost of planting street green areas and the effect of reducing PM2.5 were compared. The results of this study can contribute as a basis for considering the effect of pedestrian space on air quality when planning and designing street green spaces.

The art market also faced a crisis due to restrictions on individual movement between regions and countries and social distancing, and even the contents of the work, the way the work is traded, and the propensity and characteristics of the buyer are changing. These demands for change in the art market are accelerating new opportunities for change by converting digital, expanding the online art market, expanding virtual space using VR(Virtual Reality) and AR(Augmented Reality) technology, and expanding the trading area of digital works NFT based on blockchain technology. In this study, the flow of change in the art market brought about by the Pandemic era is analyzed from the perspective of digital transformation. The contents of digital acceptance of the art market are identified through a summary of various types of digital transformation in the art market and a survey of perceptions following the introduction of digital transformation and NFT. Discuss major legal, economic, social, and transactional issues and countermeasures following the introduction of NFT based on blockchain technology in the art market.

A Basic Study on the Route of Shared Self-driving Cars by Type of Transportation Disability person (교통약자 유형별 공유형 자율주행 자동차의 이동경로에 대한 기초연구)

  • Purpose With the recent development of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence technology, self-driving technology has developed into three stages (partial self-driving) or four stages (conditional self-driving), it is expected to bring a new paradigm to transportation in the city. Although many researchers are researching related technologies, there is no research on self-driving for disabled persons. In this study, the basic research was conducted based on the assumption that the shared self-driving car used by the disabled person is similar to the special transportation currently driving. Design In this study, data analysis and machine learning techniques were utilized to analyze the mobility patterns of disabled persons by type and to search for leading factors affecting the traffic volume of special transportation. Findings The study found that external physical disorders and developmental disorders often visit general welfare centers, internal organ disorders often visit general hospitals, and the elderly and mental disorders have various destinations. In addition, machine learning analysis showed that the main transportation routes for the disabled person use arterial roads and auxiliary arterial roads and that the ratio of building usage-related variables affecting the use of special transportation for a disabled person is high. In addition, the distance to the subway and bus stops was also mentioned as a meaningful variable. Based on these analysis results, it is expected that the necessary infrastructure for shared self-driving cars for disability person traffic will be used as meaningful research data in the future.

  • 우리나라의 경우 집중호우와 돌발홍수로 인한 침수 발생에 대응하기 위해 유역 및 하천관리 사업, 각종 풍수해 예방사업 등을 추진하고 있으며, 관련 분야의 스마트기술 도입을 적극 추진하고 있다. 그러나, 2013년 노량진 상수도관 공사 현장 사고, 2019년 신월 빗물저류 배수시설 현장 사고 등과 같은 건설현장 침수 피해 사고가 지속적으로 발생하고 있다. 또한, 건설현장의 다양한 조건 및 시시각각 변화하는 상황에 따라 구조적 대책 및 대응방안을 수립하는 데 한계가 있으며 지금까지는 법, 제도에 기초한 대응 매뉴얼을 제작·배포하여 현장 근로자 교육을 실시하는 수준에서 진행되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 건설현장의 자연재해, 특히 수재해에 대응하기 위해 보다 과학적인 방법을 통한 현장 침수 예경보 체계를 수립하였으며, 강우예측-침수예측-침수예경보 생산-현장 상황전파에 이르는 일련의 시스템을 개발하여 공사별, 규모별, 공정별 침수 대응 솔루션을 제공하고자 한다. 건설현장 침수예경보 시스템 개발의 주요 내용은 요소기술 개발이며, 간략하게 정리하면 다음과 같다. ① 강우 예측정보 생산: 현장에서 발생하는 집중호우를 고려하는 실시간 강우측정 자료와 연계한 초단기 강우예측 기술 개발, ② 침수 예측모델 개발: 현장의 시공간적 특성, 수재해 피해의 유형 등을 반영할 수 있는 침수피해 예측 모델 개발, ③ 침수예경보 의사결정 방법론 개발: 침수 피해 예경보를 위한 침수 위험단계 세분화 및 노모그래프 개발과 모델 적용(예측정확도 85% 이상), 이를 통합하여 건설현장 침수예경보 시스템 개발을 수행하게 된다. 연구에서 개발된 침수 예경보 통합 시스템은 향후 수재해로 인한 건설현장의 인명, 재산 피해 최소화에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

A Study on Characteristics of Motorcycle Accident among Korean Elderly using Medical Record Information (의무기록 정보를 활용한 노인 오토바이 운수사고의 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of elderly motorcycle accidents according to data from elderly inpatients to prepare prevention measures for the elderly against injury in motorcycle accidents. Chi-squared test, independent sample t-test, and canonical correlation analysis were performed on the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency's National Hospital Discharge In-depth Injury Survey data from 2015 to 2019, from which the records of 1,384 elderly inpatients hospitalized because of motorcycle accidents were obtained. intracranial injury(S06) was the most common care and treatment characteristic for both age groups. The most frequent injury site was the head and neck, and the most frequent injury type was a fracture. The above findings show that prevention education and policy formulation at the national level are necessary to identify and manage the factors of elderly motorcycle accidents. This study provides basic data for developing measures and policies to prevent and reduce injuries, making it significant for public health causes.
