The Stateless Care of Address Configuration Scheme To Provide an Efficient Internet Service in a Train (철도차량내의 효율적인 인터넷 서비스를 위한 Stateless 기반의 Care of Address 구성방안)

  • The movement of the MR loaded on the train is confined to the bidirectional movement along the rail. Therefore, the AR connected to the MR can use the address information of the neighboring ARs and configure CoA in advance before performing L2 and L3 handoff. The MR can acquire new CoA immediately from the present AR after the movement detection procedure. The performance analysis shows that the proposed scheme can provide CoA to the MR about 1.8(s) at minimum and 4.98(s) at maximum faster than the Stateless scheme because the proposed scheme does not carry out any additional CoA and DAD procedure unlike the Stateless scheme.

  • 본 논문에서는 중첩된 이동네트워크(nested mobile network) 환경에서 멀티홈 기능을 지원하도록 구현한 내용을 기술한다. 멀티 흠 환경에서 이동 노드는 중첩도가 낮은 이동 네트워크를 우선적으로 선택하도록 설계 구현하였다. 구현된 중첩 이동 네트워크 시스템은 계층적 프리픽스 위임 기법에 기반한 경로 최적화(Hierarchical Prefix Delegation)를 지원하고 있다. 구현된 시스템을 테스트한 결과 이동 노드 이동 라우터, 흠 에이전트 등이 기대한 대로 동작함을 확인하였는데, 특히 멀티 흠 환경에 접속된 모바일 노드는 중첩도가 낮은 이동라우터를 성공적으로 선택하여 통신한다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • In the nested mobile network environment, the mobile node selects one of multiple mobile routers. The MR(Mobile Router) by existing top-down or bottom-up methods may not be the optimal MR if the numbers of mobile nodes and routers are substantially increased, and the scale of the network is increased drastically. Since an inappropriate MR decision causes handover or binding renewal to mobile nodes, determining of the optimal MR is important for efficiency. In this paper, we propose an algorithm that decides on the optimal MR using MR QoS(Quality of Service) information, and we describe how to understand the various structured MLP(Multi-Layered Perceptron) based on the algorithm. In conclusion, we prove the ability of the suggested neural network for a nesting mobile network through the performance analysis of each learned MLP.

  • 차세대 인터넷의 기반이 되고 있는 IPv6(Internet Protocol version 6, RFC2460)상에서 이동성(Mobility)을 지원하기 위하여 IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force)에서는 Mobile IPv6에 대한 표준화 작업을 진행 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 라우터, 홈에이전트와 외부네트워크라우터 등의 접근노드, 대응노드, 이동단말 등의 구성요소를 활용하여 IPv6 상에서 이동성지원시스템을 구축하였으며 구축된 시스템에서 Mobile IPv6 기능 및 성능 평가를 수행하였다.

  • As the demand for ubiquitous mobile wireless Internet grows, vehicles are receiving a lot of attention as new networking platforms. The demand for 4G all-IP networks encourages vehicle networks to be connected using IPv6. By means of network mobility (NEMO) support, we can connect sensors, controllers, local ,servers as well as passengers' devices of a vehicle to the Internet through a mobile router. The mobile router provides the connectivity to the Internet and mobility transparency for the rest of the mobile nodes of an in-vehicle nv6 network. So, it is .important for the mobile router to assure reliable connection and a sufficient data rate for the group of nodes behind it. To provide reliability, this paper proposes an adaptive multihoming architecture of multiple mobile routers. Proposed architecture makes use of different mobility characteristics of different vehicles. Simulation results with different configurations show that the proposed architecture increases session preservation thus increases reliability and reduces packet loss. We also show that the proposed architecture is adaptive to heterogeneous access environment which provide different access coverage areas and data rates. The result shows that our architecture achieves sufficient data rates as well as session preservation.

  • This paper proposes a mutual authentication scheme for mobile router in MANEMO. The NEMO used AAA server in order to authenticate mobile router in nested mobile network. So, this scheme has some problem that increases authentication message overhead and authentication time. The proposed scheme uses temporary certificate that signed by an access router's private key. The temporary certificate authenticates a mobile router when the mobile router entered a MANET domain. The proposed scheme reduces authentication message overhead and authentication time than the scheme to use AAA server when authenticating the mobile router.

  • IPv6 기반의 이동 노드는 이웃 발견 프로토콜과 주소 자동설정 기능을 이용하여 스스로 의탁 주소(Care-of-Address : 이하 COA)를 구성한다. 이 때, 이동 노드가 가까이 있는 여러 개의 라우터 경계 사이를 짧은 시간동안 자주 이동한다면 이동 노드는 자신의 COA를 구성하는 과정을 빈번하게 반복하면서 이동 노드의 과부하가 발생할 가능성이 크다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 잦은 이동을 하는 이동 노드의 주소 자동설정 기능으로 인한 노드의 과부하를 줄이고 COA를 구성하는 시간을 최소화하기 위해 이동 노드의 주변을 가상의 셀로 설정하고 주변 셀에 대한 라우터들의 prefix를 라벨화(labeling)하여 이동 노드의 여러 개의 인터페이스에 설정해 놓고 라벨의 확인만으로 COA를 선택하는 방법을 제안한다.

  • NEMO (Network Mobility) introduces the concept of mobile router in order to supply users with group mobility over wireless and mobile networks. This paper investigates the advantages and disadvantages of NEMO in terms of the overhead of group mobility management. This paper proposes the additional requirements to enhance NEMO performance. Moreover, we analyze the main communication paths, CN-HA, HA-MR, and MR-MNN, in the real NEMO testbed.

  • Network based VPN(Virtual Private Network) using MPLS(Multiprotocol Label Switching) technology is regarded as a good solution for intranets or extranets because of the low cost and the flexibility of the service provision. In this paper, we describea mechanism that allows the VPN users to move from one site to another site of the VPN network based on the BGP-E MPLS technology. This mechanism is designed for and implemented on PE(Provider Edge) routers of the backbone network. PE routers connected to the VPN sites establish a new MPLS path to the mobile node after they detect movement of the mobile VPN node. The new location may belong to the same VPN or to different VPN. We designed VPN management and control functions of the PE routers in order to interface with the Mobile IP protocol. The pilot implementation and performance measurement were carried out on a testbed.
