During the 1980s, Textile design achieved a remarkable growth in creating aesthetic effect and in establishing its standing by responding to demands of the time effectively and seeking changes proactively. This was a period when Textile design constructed its modern concept as it was attempting a qualitative improvement through advanced technology, high class, and differentiation. The advent of advanced materials through the development of textile engineering, employment of craft techniques to further cultural and artistic orientation, and restoration of decorativeness in pursuit of sensitivity, all these developments of the 1980s contributed to the rise of above characteristics. In this study, attempts are made to grasp the new trend of Textile design during the 1980s and to review diverse methods of aesthetic creation and plastic possibility which this trend presented for the Textile, and thus to recognize the role of Textile design and its importance in a new light. The new trend of Textile design during the 1980s can be summarized as follows: 1) An appreciation of the creative aspect of the Textile. As attempts are made to emphasize visual and sensitive aspects of the medium, Textile tended to become an object of art itself. 2) A new awareness of the representative and plastic capacity of the fiber material. As attempts are made to develope the creative potential of the Textile, representation of the material tended to become more diversified. 3) A recognition of the Textile as a proper means to deliver the spirit of the time. As the medium accommodates and fuses diverse cultures including traditional culture, more emphasis was place on cultural contents of the Textile. In the process of pursuing these changes, Textile design of the 1980s has also contributed to the creation of new values, laying the groundwork for its emergence as an advanced high value-added industry.

Digital production method in animation has enabled us to reconstruction the real world in the way we had sought in visual all. However, spectator's visual desire is not satisfied with mere photographic visual reconstruction. It demands traditional picturesque qualify with involves a great deal of contingencies and errors. Naturally, Digital film technology has also sometimes tried to simulate analogue technique such as hand drawing so on. This is not caused by nostalgia, but by recursive instinct. The spectator's visual desire for media doesn't remain only precision of real world but require mental demand on successive visual and perceptive errors while repealing ripeness of new media and going through perception and recognition. This spectator's desire and visual art technology pursuits variously its visual perfection in history.

Study of new materials, which has been going on in many fields of modem art since the beginning of this century, has cintributed much to the development of modem art. In this regard, it is noteworthy that many in the field of fiber art have experimented with non-traditional, indusrial materials with some notable success. Industrial materials represent the world of thechnology we live in and help us form the kind of view on art that is reflective of the present age and its social milieu. Industrial materials, when used as media for art, also present us with new concepts and possibilities for artistic expression. In fiber art, the use of industrial materials has greatly expanded the very idea of 'fiber', effectively ferring the imagination of fiber aetists to experiment with diverse materials and new mathodology. Overcoming the traditional constraints of technique-orienthd their discipline, fiber artists began to pay more attention to matiere or the material jtself and the infinite variety of surface, color and texture that it promises. And informed by this newly discovered aesthetice of the material. fiber artists began in eamest to expand the area of their artistic expression, producing multi-dimensional works, conquering space and experimentiong with hugc environmantal works.

Cloud collection, which is derived from cloud computing, is a framework that creates new value through library cooperative platform to preserve and manage libraries' duplicated collection. Due to E-book market vitalization and mass digitalization of retrospective print material, new library collection management paradigm has been expected that licensed based E-book service and management of shared print repository. This study discuss cloud collection concept which digital repository and Shared print repository are in complementary relations. And suggest cloud collection model can be applicable to Korean university libraries.

지난 몇 십 년간 한국사회는 급격한 도시화와 시-공간 압축을 겪었다. 이러한 변화는 한편으로는 정체성 혼란을 심화시켰으며, 다른 한편으로는 여가시간의 증대를 초래하고 있다. 이 정체성 혼돈과 여가의 증대 경향이 대중들로 하여금 ‘삶의 질’요구를 제기하게 하였다. 이 논문에서는‘삶의 질’향상이 자연과 장소에 대한 문화적 감수성 회복을 통하여 이루어질수 있다고 주장한다. 여기서 문화적 감수성이란 자연과 장소에 대한 심미를 의미한다. 16세기의 위대한 유학자 퇴계 이황의 경관독해처럼, 유교적 자연미는 숭고미가 아니라 자연합일 감성이다. 유학자들은 이러한 자연에 자신을 합일(정체화)하는 감성을 가지는 것을 최선의 일상적 실천으로 삼았다. 생생불식하는 자연의 모습을 ‘천지의 마음’으로 보고, 그것을 체득하는 것에 자기수양의 궁극적 목적을 두었기 때문이다. 퇴계는 자연합일이 아니라 거주 과정에서 형성된 인간-자연 간이 감성적 연계에 관한 것이다. ‘삶의 질’추구는 인간과 자연생태계 간의 심각한 단절을 극복하기 위한 참된 거주경험에 대한 욕구이다. 우리는 유학자의 ‘자연합일’감성으로부터 진정한 거주경험을 배울 수 있다.

In modern industry, creative sense together with advanced scientific technology is an important element. Traditional values refer to one's attitudes or perspectives developed by negotiating with oneself, others, society, world, nature and universe, which include thoughts on what is right, desirable, and what is dos and don'ts. The purpose of this study was to investigate values which Korean people traditionally emphasized, and their changes by epochal situation focused on the Choson Era. Also, this study intended to assist in finding values and meaning which should be passed down and manifested in contemporary society based on the study results. In this context, I select some positive values in the background of the Joseon dynasty. As traditional values or ethics in Korea destroyed and distorted going through the period of Japanese colonialism, all the existing social culture and traditional culture were denied, which resulted in vanishing common value which led community for several hundred years. The loss of common value caused community destruction and collapse, and made Korean people seek to survival, success and advancement in life as suffering from severe conflict of values. Experience of hollow state of mind caused by historical and cultural severance left distorted and degenerated values to Korea people, which made them pursue false values without realizing true meaning of traditional values. The true meaning of traditional values should be universal no matter how society changes, and could be milestone to contemporary people wandering aimlessly. Realizing and reconsidering the meaning of traditional values to found comtemporary values of Korean people by reflecting on history can produce significant results beyond age-old debate about East or West, and tradition or modernity.

This is a scientific study of subjectivity on recognition types and preferences of animation audience. Therefore, Q-methodology was used as a methodology of this study. As a result, it was possible to find the various characteristics according to the preferences of audience on animation genres. The features of each type were classified into 3 types. First was an artistic and literary value-oriented type that explored storytelling and descriptive value. Second was a pictorial and aesthetic value-oriented type that explored visual beauty such as characters and Mise en scene. Third was a visual and entertainment value-oriented type that explored entertainment factors and attractions. Thus, according to the classification of preference types, it was inferred that digital image generation audience with an active preference that can create and consume images have developed a tendency that independently consumed their preferences based on thoroughly personal or subjective preferences rather than classified and accepted their preferred culture as their symbolic expressions of hierarchical position. In this aspect, Q-methodological consideration that is useful to analyze the subjectivity of audience could be a significant work. Nevertheless, this study alone could not reveal various generative contexts of specific preferences. It seems to have more significant results by applying various qualitative or quantitative methodologies together with this study and analyzing recognition types and preferences of audience.

As one of leading media converging broadcasting and telecommunications, IPTV is required to pursuit the idea of public interest from broadcasting industry and universal service from telecommunications industry as well as satisfying industrial effect. It needs to consider both industrial effect and public benefit when vitalizing IPTV services. The project of providing IPTV-based interactive public services is expected to enhance accessibility of public services, present shape of new public service in broadcasting-telecommunication convergence environment, resolve the shortage in contents supply which is one of most important problems in IPTV services. In this research understanding the overall response such as service usage status, satisfying/dissatisfying factor, trend of preference of the customer using IPTV-based interactive public services, we analyze what the public service mean in IPTV environment and public identity of IPTV. And we have investigate effective developing method and ripple effect of IPTV-based public services on broadcasting and telecommunications converged ecosystems.
