  • 본 논문에서는 Dhir의 이론에 따라서 Mapping함수로 고차다항식을 사용하여 여러가지 하중상태에 따른 최적형상을 연구하고 Mapping함수에 포함되어 있는 계수가 응력집중 및 형상변화에 미치는 영향을 검토하며 광탄성 실험을 통하여 이론의 타당성 을 입증하고자 하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 자동차용 Battery Post Terminal Clamp의 응력감소를 위한 설계에 있어, ANSYS Workbench 11.0을 이용한 유한요소 구조해석을 하였다. 체결 시 볼트 조임에 따라 가해지는 힘에 따른 응력집중 및 변형을 고려하였고, Battery Post Terminal Clamp에 응력이 집중되어 소성변형이 예상되는 부분에 대한 형상을 변형 하였을 때, 발생 응력이 극한 인장 강도 이하로 감소됨을 확인하였다.

Analysis of Principal Stress Distribution Difference of Tensile Plate with Partial Through-hole (부분 관통 구멍이 있는 인장판의 주응력 분포 차이 해석)

  • Stress concentrations around discontinuities, such as a hole in cross section of a structural member, have great importance because the most materials failure around the region may be occurred. Stress on the point applied by concentrated load reaches much larger value than the average stress in structural member. In this paper, stress analysis was performed for the plate with a partial through-hole to find the difference of the principal stress distribution. The difference between maximum principal stress and minimum principal stress in photoelasticity is equal to the value obtained by multiplying the isochromatic fringe order by the fringe constant of the material divided by the distance through which the light passes, that is, the thickness of the specimen. Since the difference of principal stress is proportional to the photoelastic fringe order, the distribution of the principal stress difference by the finite element analysis can be compared with the photoelasticity experimental result. ANSYS Workbench, that is the finite element software, is used to compute the differences of principal stresses at the specific points on the measured lines. The computation values obtained by ANSYS are compared with the experimental measurements by photoelasticity, and two results are comparable to each other. In addition, the stress concentration factor is obtained using the stress distribution analyzed from the variation of hole depth. Stress concentration factor is increasing, as the depth of hole increase.

  • 현재 골 유착성 임플랜트는 안전하고 유용한 보철 수복 분야의 하나로 자리잡아 가고있다. 과거 완전 무치악 환자에게 있어서 저작 기능의 회복이란 면에 중점을 두었던 경향에서 현재 골유착 임플랜트의 높은 성공률에 의해 부문 무치악, 단일치 수복에 까지 다양하게 사용되고 있다. 특히 심미성과 인접치의 손상을 가하지 않는다는 면에서 단일치 수복에서 골유착 임플랜트 치료에 관심이 모아지고 있다. 단일치 수복에 있어서 심미성이 중요한 문제로 대두되면서 이런 수복에 사용될 수 있는 다양한 계통의 임플랜트들이 개발되어 사용되고 있다. 이중 가장 기본적인 Branemark 계통의 CeraOne 지대주, 최근에 개발된 전부도재 지대주인 CerAdapt 전부주조 지대주인 UCLA 계통등은 높은 성공률을 보이며 많이 사용되고 있다. 임상가들에 의해 나사유지형 보철물이 착탈성이란 관점에서 선호되고 있다. 시멘트유지형 보철물에서는 나사공이 없는 온전한 교합면을 유지한다는 면과 교합력을 받는 면적에 있어서 더 넓은 면을 가진다는 점등 더 많은 장점을 가진다고 주장하는 사람도 있다. 임상가들의 기호에 의해 선택되어지는 나사 유지형과 시멘트 유지형에 있어서 교합력이 야기하는 하중하에서 각각의 응력 분포를 분석할 필요성이 요구되었다. 이 연구는 단일치 수복에 사용되는 CeraOne, CerAdapt UCLA 계통에서 각각의 나사 유지형과 시멘트유지형에서의 응력분포를 삼차원 유한요소법으로 분석하고 상부 구조물에 가해지는 수직하중, 수평 하중, 경사 하중에 의해 야기되는 응력을 비교 분석한 것이다. 본 연구의 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. CeraOne, CerAdapt, UCLA 지대주 모두 시멘트유지형보다 나사유지형에서 응력집중이 컸다. 2. CeraOne 시멘트유지형인 1번 모델에서 응력분산이 유리하였고, UCLA 나사 유지형인 6번 모델에서 가장 불리하였다. 3. 모든 모델에서 고정체 경부에서 가장 큰 응력 집중이 있었고 이것은 UCLA 지대주에서 가장 컸다. 4. 상부 구조물에서 주된 응력의 집중은 교합면에서 일어났다. 5. 골은 상부 피질골, 즉 고정체경부와 만나는 부위에서 가장 큰 응력의 집중이 일어났으며 수평, 경사 하중시 응력집중 양상은 힘을 가한 쪽의 반대쪽 고정체 경부에 응력이 집중되는 양상을 보였다. 6. 전체 모델과 골, 고정체 모두에서 수평 하중과 경사 하중시 보다는 수직 하중시 더 적은 응력값을 보였다.

Fracture Behavior and Stress Distribution around Slot (슬롯주위 의 應力分布 와 破壞擧動 1)

  • In this paper, stress concentration factor and distribution of slotted or notched plate which is subjected to uniaxial tensile load are studied. The experimental measurements have shown the following; (1)The stress around slot or notch of slotted or notched plate which is subjected to uniaxial tensile load is state of biaxial stress, which is mainly varied to notch radius and depth. (2)The stress concentration factor around slot or notch is mainly influenced by the .sigma.$_{yy}$ , it is varied with notch radius and depth. (3)For the notched specimen, there is a notch depth where stress concentration factor is maximum. On the other hand, for the slotted specimen, stress concentration factor increases as the notch depth increases. An investigation of the relationship between fracture and stress concentration factor due to the slot or notch will be presented on the later paper, for reference.

  • When the round bar with step is twisted and bent, stress concentration is occurred in the irregular geometric parts. Two dimensional axisymmetric stress analysis is carried out according to the geometric change of the stress-concentrated part of round bar with step. Three dimensional cases are also investigated.

  • Orthotropic steel decks are manufactured by welding thin plates therefore it is inevitable that there are abundant works of welding process. On connection of transverse rib web, crossing point of longitudinal rib, transverse rib and deck plate and cut-out parts of transverse rib are the significant position of stress concentration phenomenon because of out of plane and oil-caning deformation caused by longitudinal rib distortion with shear force and distortion. In order to reduce the stress concentration phenomenon and improving fatigue performance at the crosing point and cut-out, structural analysis was performed considering the existence of scalop at conection and diaphragm which have same plane with transverse rib placed inside of longitudinal rib. Result o f the analysis show that there are the largest efect of stres concentration reduction when diaphragms are installed without scallop at connection, therefore these detail can improve the fatigue performance of orthotropic steel decks.

Analysis on Shapes of Shear Pocket for the Full-Depth Precast Slab (프리캐스트 바닥판의 전단포켓 형상에 관한 해석 연구)

  • Post-tensioning the full-depth precast slab longitudinally is to eliminate the tensile stresses in the transverse joints and to prevent any leakage through the joints. When the prestressing is applied to full-depth precast slab which does not composite steel girder, stress concentration occurs at the corners of shear pocket, and compressive stress is not uniformly distributed in the section of precast slab. In this paper, full-depth precast slabs using four different shapes of shear pockets are analyzed by commercial finite element program. Round type of shear pockets is superior to reduction in stress concentration.

Fatigue Assessment of High Strength Steel Welded Joints Under Bending Loading (굽힘 하중하의 고장력강 용접 연결부의 피로 평가)

  • In this study, a fatigue assessment method for vehicle suspension systems having welded geometries was established under a bending loading condition. For the fatigue life estimation of the actual product's welded joints made of different steels, bending fatigue tests were performed on welded specimens with a simplified shape for obtaining the moment-fatigue-life plot. Further, geometry modeling of the simplified welded specimens was conducted. Results of finite element analysis were used to obtain the stress-fatigue-life plot. The analysis results were also used to calculate the stress concentration factors for notch-factor-based fatigue life estimation. The test results were compared with results of the general notch-factor-based fatigue life estimation for improving fatigue assessment. As a result, it was concluded that both the welded fatigue tests and the notch-factor-based fatigue life estimation are necessary for accurate fatigue assessment.

A Numerical Analysis for Stress Concentration of Openings in Offshore Tubular Steel Tower under Design Loading Condition (설계하중조건에 따른 해상풍력 강재타워 출입구에 발생되는 응력집중에 대한 해석적 연구)

  • This study investigates the stress concentration factor of a door opening of an offshore tubular steel tower. The tubular steel tower is subjected to eight (8) different load combinations which are deemed to be normal and abnormal operating cases for the ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state. Analytical method using parametric equations and numerical method of finite element are used to analyze the stress components as well as any translations or rotations where the flow of stress is interfered with. A finite element program, ABAQUS, is used for the numerical method analysis. Trends of the stress concentration in the localized area near the opening are studied, and points of interest are defined for comparison among three different cases of tubular steel tower: without door and without reinforcement; without door opening and with reinforcement; and with door opening and with reinforcement. Findings are tabulated and shown in illustrative charts, and conclusions are made.
